Boy in Girls-Only Dance Event Triggers Federal Probe

Federal investigators have launched an investigation into a complaint that a Wisconsin school student is barred by Minnesota state rules from competing in events there . . .

Kaiden Johnson, a 15-year-old sophomore at Superior High School in Superior, Wisconsin, has danced competitively for eight years. This year, on the school’s varsity dance team, he went across the state line to an event in Minnesota, where he was banned from the competition.

Working on his behalf is Pacific Legal Foundation, which threatened a lawsuit if the “discrimination” continues.

PLF said the Minnesota State High School League is violating Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and is under investigation by the OCR.

“This is the first vital and important step in ensuring that Minnesota boys have an equal opportunitiy to dance,” PLF said. “Minnesota, which relies on outmoded stereotypes about why boys should be prohibited from dancing, will now have to justify its discriminatory decision to the United States Department of Education.” (Read more from “Boy in Girls-Only Dance Event Triggers Federal Probe” HERE)

Pro-Trump Singer Wears Pro-Life Dress at Grammy Awards

Hollywood award shows have been popular platforms for political statements lately, but the messages tend to skew toward the left.

Tonight at the Grammy Awards, though, American singer Joy Villa made a very conservative statement on the red carpet.

The 31-year-old, who has released a handful of singles since 2011, wore her [pro-life] views on her sleeve — or, we should say, her dress.

Villa turned up on the red carpet on Sunday evening in a customized white gown, originally by Pronovias. On the full skirt, she hand-painted the image of a [baby] radiating colors of the rainbow.

She accessorized with a tiara — she likes to go by Princess Joy Villa — and a small white bag that spelled out her message, in case anyone missed it. (Read more from “Pro-Trump Singer Wears Pro-Life Dress at Grammy Awards” HERE)

High School Sweetheart Grants Boyfriend His Dying Wish After Terminal Diagnosis

A Florida teenager diagnosed with terminal cancer will be granted his dying wish this weekend: to marry his high school sweetheart.

At 19-years old, Dustin Snyder will marry Sierra Siverio on Sunday at the Big Red Barn, which is being donated as a wedding space.

“I could never even think about leaving his side,” Siverio said in an interview with “The Now,” ABC News reported.

Snyder was healthy growing up, playing both football and baseball. He and Siverio also attended two proms together.

He was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma when he was 18, and endured six months of chemotherapy before being declared cancer free.

At the beginning of this year, though, things took a turn for the worst.

“Three weeks ago he was losing lots of weight and he was in a lot of pain,” Cassandra Fondahn, Snyder’s mother, said. “And we took him to the hospital and his stomach and his pelvic areas were infested with the cancer.”

After his terminal diagnosis, just three days ago, he said that his final wish was to marry his high school sweetheart, Siverio.

“She means the world to me,” he said in the interview, though his words are now barely audible.

Snyder’s older sister, Brittany Hails, set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for the wedding.

“He is currently on hospice and has a pain pump connected to his heart,” the page read. “We are trying to make his wishes come true by providing him and his long-term girlfriend with a wedding 28th Jan 2018 (Sunday).”

So far, the community has helped raise money for wedding rings, a dress and a tuxedo for the young couple. LifePath Hospice is donating flowers and bridesmaid dresses.

“Please lets help Dustin enjoy the rest of his life with his soulmate,” the fundraising page concluded.

Synovial sarcoma is a rare form of soft tissue sarcoma, “which is a type of cancer that arises from soft tissues near the joints but can sometimes develop in the kidney and lung,” according to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

It is common in people younger than 30, but it is still a very rare tumor. It only occurs in 1 to 3 people per million. “About 800 new cases of synovial sarcoma are diagnosed in the U.S. each year,” the hospital reported. It is also more common in males.

Signs and symptoms of synovial sarcoma include “problems using one or both legs, feet, arms or hands” as well as “pain near the affected area.”

No matter how little time is left, the young couple’s upcoming nuptials, and the whirlwind of planning a wedding in a week, is their happy ending. (For more from the author of “High School Sweetheart Grants Boyfriend His Dying Wish After Terminal Diagnosis” please click HERE)

First Lady’s Office Fires Back, Blasts Report Melania Trump Living in D.C. Hotel

First Lady Melania Trump is firing back after being dogged by rumors that she’s living separately from the president and cancelled a planned trip to Davos, Switzerland, with her husband after news broke that he’d allegedly paid adult film star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an affair.

Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for Mrs. Trump, posted on Twitter that the First Lady is fed up with the “false” attacks.

“BREAKING,” she wrote, according to the Associated Press. “The laundry list of salacious & flat-out false reporting about Mrs. Trump by tabloid publications & TV shows has seeped into ‘main stream media’ reporting.”

The past week’s reporting has indeed been “salacious.” After the Stormy Daniels story broke earlier in January, several outlets have been cataloging the First Lady’s every move, reporting that she’d moved out of the White House and into a “posh D.C. hotel,” that she had dropped off the president’s schedule, and then that she’d avoided the trip to Davos to take a private holiday in Mar-a-Lago. No More War Movies: Leftists Angry Post-9/11 Movie ’12 Strong’ Promotes ‘Toxic Masculinity’

Opening this weekend, “12 Strong” is a movie depicting the first military offensive against the Taliban in Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001 terror attacks — a tale of 12 Army Green Berets who befriend members of the Afghan Northern Alliance and go into battle outnumbered and on horseback.

The film is about heroes, but like many modern examples of American military might, it has triggered those on the far left, some of whom are now insisting that in the post-#MeToo era, Hollywood abandon films about war because they promote “backwards” ideas and “glorify outdated models of masculinity.”

Now, the “toxic masculinity” defeated an international terror organization on the sands of an unfamiliar country, sending its leader into the wilds of Pakistan and destroying the Al Qaeda network which had just killed more than 3,000 American citizens on United States soil.

But, according to The Intercept, it’s time to put an end to glorifying heroics demonstrated during war.

“Hollywood has shown itself capable of making excellent war movies (think ‘Three Kings,’ ‘Paths of Glory,’ and ‘The Best Years of Our Lives’), but most are problematic,” writes Peter Maass. “Some of the biggest war movies of the post-9/11 era don’t just show violence in ways that are often gratuitous and occasionally racist. They model a cliched form of masculinity that veers from simplistic to monstrous.” (Read more from “No More War Movies: Leftists Angry Post-9/11 Movie ’12 Strong’ Promotes ‘Toxic Masculinity'” HERE)

Hillary Protected Aide Accused of Sexual Assault

By Jessica Estepa. Hillary Clinton reportedly asked to keep an adviser to her 2008 presidential campaign onboard, despite accusations that he had sexually harassed a young woman.

The New York Times reported that Burns Strider, Clinton’s faith adviser at the time, was accused of harassing a 30-year-old woman who sharing an office with him. The woman told the campaign that Strider sent her suggestive emails, rubbed her shoulders inappropriately and kissed her on the forehead.

A sexual harassment report was made to campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle. Doyle reportedly approached Clinton and asked that Strider be fired. Clinton declined to do so, and Strider remained on staff.

Strider, who was married at the time, instead was docked several weeks of pay and was ordered to undergo counseling, per the Times.

The young woman, who reportedly signed a nondisclosure agreement that prevents her from publicly speaking about the campaign’s inner workings, was moved to a new job. (Read more from “Hillary Protected Aide Accused of Sexual Assault” HERE)

Clinton Kept Adviser on 2008 Campaign Despite Sexual Harassment Allegation

By Dan Merica and Veronica Stracqualursi. Hillary Clinton decided not to fire a senior adviser on her 2008 presidential campaign who had been accused of sexual harassment, against the recommendation of her campaign manager, two sources who worked on the 2008 campaign tell CNN.

A female campaign staffer had accused Clinton’s faith adviser, Burns Strider, of harassment that included inappropriate touching, kissing her forehead and sending her suggestive emails, the sources said. The woman shared an office with Strider.

After hearing of the complaint, Clinton campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle and other senior aides urged Clinton to fire Strider, but Clinton declined to dismiss him and kept him on for the rest of her failed run for the Democratic nomination, the sources said.

The other source said Clinton made clear that “we should explore other options” than firing Strider. “I certainly thought he should just be fired,” the source added. (Read more from “Clinton Kept Adviser on 2008 Campaign Despite Sexual Harassment Allegation” HERE)

Thief Steals Entire Church All by Himself

A thief stole a church from Peoria, Arizona early Tuesday morning all by himself.

As the church service is held at a local elementary school, the entire church is stored in a trailer during the week.

“We have all of our church equipment for worship in a 7×16 trailer that we haul each Sunday,” Cross of Glory Lutheran Church & School wrote on Facebook. “It’s our church in a box.”

The Facebook post also included the license plate number and details so the trailer can be easily identified and reported to police.

“The trailer is white with damage at the back left side. Please share and let’s get the social media eyes going.”

The surveillance videos show a white pickup first scouting the church property around 3 a.m., and then returning a few hours later and, within minutes, driving away with the trailer.

“You feel violated,” Pastor John Ehlers told ABC News.

The thieves only left the wheel stoppers from the trailer behind.

“It’s hard to function without it because, when you’re worshipping in a school — in a gymnasium, you have to bring everything in,” Ehlers said.

A Church in a Box is an easy way to have a church without actually having a building because everything is portable.

“Maybe if they open it up and actually read the Bible that’s in there, they’ll get to know a little bit about their savior,” Ehlers told ABC News.

Cross of Glory Lutheran Church & School hosts their second site at Lake Pleasant Elementary School, and their trailer had everything they needed for their service from audio equipment to a baptismal font.

Ehlers estimated the stolen trailer had about $40,000 worth of equipment.

A service will still be held at the school whether or not they get their trailer back.

“They can’t take God’s word from you,” Ehlers said.

The pastor passed along a message for the thieves: “You’re welcome to bring it back any time you’d like, no questions asked. Bring it back and, hey, Jesus does forgive you for those sins too. (For more from the author of “Thief Steals Entire Church All by Himself” please click HERE)

Nikki Haley: ‘Disgusting’ Claims of Affair with Trump ‘Absolutely Not True’

U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, is the latest political figure to come under scrutiny after the publication of Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury.”

After Wolff appeared on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” rumors began to circulate that Haley was having an affair with the president.

The author stated that he was “absolutely sure” that President Donald Trump was having an affair, even though the accusations weren’t specifically printed in his book, according to Politco, and readers will be able to determine who is suspected on a close reading of the book.

“Now that I’ve told you, when you hit that paragraph, you’re gonna say, ‘Bingo,’” Wolff reportedly said.

From there it seems, readers honed in on the line, “The president had been spending a notable amount of private time with Haley on Air Force One and was seen to be grooming her for a national political future,” reported Politco.

The ambassador said that the claims are completely false, “highly offensive” and “disgusting,” while also noting that the attacks are similar to smears that other women have faced when coming into power.

“It is absolutely not true,” said Haley during an appearance on Politico’s Women Rule podcast.

Responding to Wolff’s assertion that she had spent significant time on Air Force One with the president, Haley said: “I have literally been on Air Force One once and there were several people in the room when I was there.”

“He says that I’ve been talking a lot with the president in the Oval about my political future. I’ve never talked once to the president about my future and I am never alone with him.”

“So the idea that these things come out, that’s a problem,” she told Politico.

“But it goes to a bigger issue that we need to always be conscious of. At every point in my life, I’ve noticed that if you speak your mind and you’re strong about it and you say what you believe, there is a small percentage of people that resent that and the way they deal with it is to try and throw arrows, lies or not.”

“Fire and Fury” has been heavily criticized for several noted inaccuracies, as previously noted by CNBC.

Wolff reportedly did not respond to Politico’s request for comment.

Haley meanwhile, asserts that strong women who speak their mind are always at risk for an attack.

“I saw this as a legislator. I saw this when I was governor. I see it now. I see them do it to other women,” she said. “And the thing is, when women work, they prioritize, they focus, and they believe if you’re gonna do something, do it right.”

According to Politico, Haley was followed by rumors of an extramarital affair during her time in South Carolina state politics.

“Others see that as either too ambitious or stepping out of line. And the truth is, we need to continue to do our job and if that means they consider it stepping out of line, fine. And if that means they’re gonna throw stones, people see lies for what it is. Do I like it? No. Is it right? No. Is it gonna slow me down? Not at all,” Haley told Politco. “Every time this has happened, it only makes me fight harder. And I do it for the sake of other women that are behind me because they should never think that they have to put their head down and cower out of fear that somebody’s gonna do something to you.” (For more from the author of “Nikki Haley: ‘Disgusting’ Claims of Affair with Trump ‘Absolutely Not True’” HERE)

Trans-Age: Accused of Assaulting 3 Young Girls, Man Claims He’s a 9 Year Old ‘Trapped’ in Adult’s Body

A Chicago man accused of sexually assaulting three young girls told prosecutors he considered himself a boy in a man’s body, according to Cook County court documents.

Joseph Roman, 38, is charged with predatory criminal sexual assault stemming from repeated attacks on three girls who were 6 to 8 years old at the time, according to prosecutors. Roman was a friend of the girls’ families at the time of the attacks between 2015 and January of this year.

During a hearing Wednesday, prosecutors said Roman admitted to some of the attacks and told Chicago police “he is a 9-year-old trapped in an adult’s body.” He was ordered held without bail.

Prosecutors said the attacks began when the family of one of the girls moved into Roman’s home for 10 weeks. Roman is accused of regularly assaulting her between August 2015 and December 2017 while the other family members were sleeping. The girl was 6 when the assaults began.

In October 2016, Roman is accused of assaulting an 8-year-old girl while her family stayed with him for 10 weeks. Her mother worked a night shift, and Roman would help take care of the children, prosecutors said. One attack occurred while two younger children were in the room watching a video on a cellphone, prosecutors said. ‘Black, Queer-Owned’ Brewery in ‘Beer City’ Says It Closed Because of ‘White Supremacy’

A brewery in Asheville, North Carolina that boasted it was black and queer woman-owned shut down, and offered this reason for the closing: “white supremacy.”

Black Star Line Brewing Co. of Hendersonville was one of numerous breweries near the city of Asheville; according to exploreasheville.com the city has more breweries per capita than any U.S. city.

But last week, the brewery bemoaned its closing on Facebook. On Monday, the brewery stated, “Like many people of color on this land, displacement at the hands of white supremacists policies and institutions is not past, but present.”

That was followed by a post on Wednesday that acknowledged the brewery had bought “oversold” supplies and utilized hand-me-down equipment. The post added, “Black Star Line was sabotaged by white supremacists, government officials (J. Edgar Hoover), and policies and procedures that were invoked to intentionally end the operations of Black Star Line.”

Company founder L.A. McCrae complained to Munchies, “White supremacy shut us down. Our world has been rocked,” although McCrae admitted that the brewery had been underfunded when it opened last summer. She claimed a lender had given the brewery $50,000 but the brewery could not contact the lender before the brewery was evicted from its premises.
