U.S. Fertility Rate Plummets to New Record Low

The last year of the Obama administration saw the fertility rate fall to an all-time low.

According to recent data from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the U.S. fertility rate sank to a record low of 62.0 births per 1,000 women of reproductive age in 2016.

This was a slight decrease from the 2015 fertility rate which stood at 62.5. The downward trend is not showing signs of stopping either. According to NCHS preliminary estimates, fertility slumped even lower to 61.5 in the first quarter of 2017.

The U.S. birth rate—a slightly different measure of fertility—also fell among younger women, 15-29 years of age. A small increase in births among women 30 years of age and older was not enough to make up for the decline among younger women. (Read more from “U.S. Fertility Rate Plummets to New Record Low” HERE)

Vatican Hosts Conference on Child Abuse While Shielding Priest Wanted for Child Porn

A veteran Vatican watcher noted a “day of irony in Rome” this week as the Holy See conducted a conference on protecting children from internet-based sexual abuse while simultaneously harboring inside its walls a Vatican diplomat wanted by police for possessing child porn.

“This is not to pre-judge the guilt or innocence of anyone,” Dr. Robert Moynihan wrote in an October 3 letter to his subscribers. “It is merely to note the irony of Church sponsorship for a conference on global child pornography while charges of breaking child pornography laws are outstanding against a monsignor who works for the Vatican and who is enjoying immunity due to his diplomatic status and living in the Vatican.”

Moynihan, founder and editor-in-chief of Inside the Vatican magazine, began his newsletter quoting part of the opening address from Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, Tuesday at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome for the conference, “Child Dignity in the Digital World.”

The event is being held October 3-6 and was organized by the Gregorian University’s Center for Child Protection. (Read more from “Vatican Hosts Conference on Child Abuse While Shielding Priest Wanted for Child Porn” HERE)

Airline Allegedly Fires Employee for Sharing ‘Offensive’ Pro-Life Message

A pro-life flight attendant is suing the airline she worked for and the union she belonged to after she was fired for raising concerns about their support for abortion.

Veteran stewardess Charlene Carter of Colorado is suing Dallas-based Southwest Airlines and her local Transport Workers Union of America for religious discrimination.

She has also filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Carter had decried on Facebook her union’s “fees for its political, ideological, and other non-bargaining spending.” She used the social media platform as well as email in February to contact union president Audrey Stone, asking her to speak out against using dues for an all-expenses-paid trip of two dozen union leaders to the January pro-abortion Women’s March in Washington, D.C.

“As a result of my Facebook posts and messages that opposed abortion, and without prior warning that such activities violated its work rules, my employer fired me on March 14, 2017,” wrote Carter in a legal statement about her case. ‘Pro-life’ Congressman Allegedly Urges Mistress to Have Abortion – Messages Reveal He ‘Winced’ at His Former Pro-life Statements

The mistress of a Congressman who has previously identified as “pro-life” is claiming that he urged her to abort the child of their affair. The mistress claims that the Congressman related to her how he “winced” when staff sent out pro-life social media posts on his behalf.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette revealed in an October 3 article that text messages between Rep. Tim Murphy, R-PA, and the woman with whom had an affair indicate that Murphy doesn’t privately agree with his public “pro-life” views.

“And you have zero issue posting your pro-life stance all over the place when you had no issue asking me to abort our unborn child just last week when we thought that was one of the options,” Murphy’s mistress, Shannon Edwards, wrote to him via text message on January 25, just days before the annual March for Life.

Apparently, Edwards had thought she was pregnant. It does not seem that she actually was.

“I get what you say about my March for life messages,” a text message response from Murphy’s phone, written by the Congressman, said. “I’ve never written them. Staff does them. I read them and winced. I told staff don’t write any more. I will.” (Read more from “‘Pro-life’ Congressman Allegedly Urges Mistress to Have Abortion – Messages Reveal He ‘Winced’ at His Former Pro-life Statements” HERE)

Here’s Why a 45-Foot Tall Nude Sculpture May Be Coming to the National Mall

. . .If you walk along the National Mall this November, you’ll see the Smithsonian Museums, the Washington Monument, Capitol Hill, and, possibly, something else: a 45-foot tall nude sculpture of a woman.

The Amazonian figure would tower over the National Mall next to the Washington Monument, directly facing the White House until March 7 to promote women’s equality.

Organizers are trying to raise funds to transport the R-Evolution sculpture from San Francisco to Washington. They’ve gotten conditional approval from the National Park Service to have the structure on the grounds of the National Mall.

Event organizers have raised more than $21,000 in four days to transport the sculpture across the country and assemble it, although they still have a long way to go to meet their 30-day fundraising goal of $90,000.

The organizers have also put out a nationwide call for volunteers. After the event ends, the sculpture can remain on the Mall for four months, if it is guarded by volunteers at all times. (Read more from “Here’s Why a 45-Foot Tall Nude Sculpture May Be Coming to the National Mall” HERE)

Mega Outbreak of Anal Cancer Ravages LGBT

HIV/AIDS was normalized in the LGBT community because, as they admit, are the prime transmitters of HIV and AIDS due to sexual practices such as sodomy. According to scientists, there is another major health crisis that is about to befall the LGBT and they have “no idea’ how to treat it, and that is an epidemic of anal cancer:

Almost 620,000 gay and bisexual men in the United States were living with HIV in 2014, and 100,000 of these men were not even aware of their infection. These men are 100 times more likely to have anal cancer than HIV-negative men who exclusively have sex with women. Yet, no national screening guidelines exist for anal cancer prevention in any population.

Anal cancer is predominantly caused by chronic or persistent human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. HPV infection can lead to the development of anal precancer which, if remains undetected or not adequately treated, may lead to anal cancer. Likewise, HPV infection is also responsible for causing cervical, vaginal, vulvar, oropharyngeal, penile and rectal cancers.

The objective of screening is to identify and treat these precancers to prevent occurrence of anal cancer. However, one of the reasons for the lack of screening guidelines is that anal precancer treatment has not yet been shown to prevent invasive cancer. Our study, published today in the journal Cancer, attempts to find a possible solution to prevent anal cancer in HIV-positive gay and bisexual men, using the best available data. We found that age-specific anal precancer management, including post-treatment HPV vaccination, can potentially lead to an 80 percent decrease in lifetime risk of anal cancer and anal cancer mortality among gay and bisexual men.

House Passes 20-Week Abortion Ban, With Trump White House Support

The Republican-controlled House on Tuesday approved a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy — a measure backed by the Trump White House but still facing long odds in the Senate.

The measure passed 237 to 189.

“So often we get caught up in the policies of this issue and we forget that these are babies, for goodness sake,” Alabama Republican Rep. Martha Roby said in a speech on the House floor. “They feel pain and we need to protect them.”

The measure faced strong opposition from abortion-rights lawmakers . . .

The White House said Monday that it “strongly supports” the efforts to “secure critical pro-life protections” and that the bill provides children with the “stronger protections” they deserve. (Read more from “House Passes 20-Week Abortion Ban, With Trump White House Support” HERE)

This Mom’s Message About Vegas Shooting Has Already Been Shared Nearly 60,000 Times

As talk of the recent Las Vegas mass shooting continues to circulate, there’s one voice that is attempting to speak to parents about the horrific attack so many bore witness to.

Whitney Fleming — author of the Facebook page Playdates on Fridays — has taken it upon herself to tackle the topic of parenting in an age when mass shootings have become an all-too-familiar event.

“There are no safe places anymore, which is every parents’ worst nightmare,” she stated.

She opened her post with the story of 53-year-old Mike McGarry, who shielded his children during the attack, acknowledging the selfless act of love while admitting she will not always be around to shield her own children.

Then, she offered something every parent, and every American, can do today.

“Instead, I will go over — again — what my children should do if they ever encounter gunfire. I will explain to them when they should run, when they should hide, and when they should remain silent. I will prepare them for this world and pray they will never need to use the information.”

Her entire post can be viewed here:

It it, Fleming admits she is “not shocked that the deadliest mass shooting in our country happened last night, and I won’t be shocked when it happens again — because it will.”

However, Fleming did not go over what her political perspective is, or what solutions she would advocate.

“We won’t agree, so nothing will change,” she said, apparently believing that the growing division in the U.S. would prevent any solutions from actually becoming reality.

Yet, many commenters asked for information about what to do during a shooting, to which Fleming responded with her own advice and a link to an article on the subject.

“I have no idea who you are but THIS is beautiful and so so so spot on. Prayers for Vegas and every single soul affected by the event that occurred. I wish and will pray that now more than ever we could just come together as ONE and let our love be stronger than any and all hate in this world,” wrote one commenter.

Fleming added that she will also tell her children “to look for the helpers, because they are always there. I will hope they remember my tips to guide them to safety. And I will encourage them to be kind to everyone they meet, because you never know the heartache they are carrying.

“If only we could clearly see and know how to help those among us that are most damaged inside before they unleash their pain on others,” Fleming wrote.

The post has been shared almost 60,000 times. The roughly 1,700 comments are overwhelmingly supportive.

She concluded her post by trying to remain positive even in the worst situations.

“(W)hen we don’t know what to do … when the world seems to come unhinged, the only thing we can do is try to do good,” Fleming wrote. “Do something — anything — good today. Do it for someone you don’t know. Do it for someone you dislike.”

“Do it for someone because maybe, just maybe, it will stop them from hurting someone else.” (For more from the author of “This Mom’s Message About Vegas Shooting Has Already Been Shared Nearly 60,000 Times” please click HERE)

U.S. House Will Vote on Banning Late-Term Abortions of Babies Who Feel Pain

Next week, the U.S. House will vote on banning late-term abortions on babies who can feel pain.

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act would prohibit abortions on babies older than 20 weeks. It contains rape and incest exceptions. For an abortion to take place, the abortionist must file a medical report with a state or federal agency saying an act of rape or incest conceived the child.

The U.S. House will vote on it on October 3.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, in 2013 there were at least 5,770 late-term abortions on babies older than 20 weeks.

“Next week, I’m bringing legislation to the House floor that will respect the sanctity of life and stop needless suffering,” said House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-CA. “The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act will protect the voiceless, the vulnerable, and the marginalized.” (Read more from “U.S. House Will Vote on Banning Late-Term Abortions of Babies Who Feel Pain” please click HERE)

New Book Sheds Light on Anti-Trump Agenda in Public Schools and Politicization of the Classroom

In his newly published book, The Corrupt Classroom, Lance Izumi of the Pacific Research Institute illustrates how the public school classroom has become increasingly politicized, with liberal teachers indoctrinating students with an anti-Trump and leftist agenda.

Izumi makes the case that while many school choice supporters rely on academic school performance data to show that public schools are failing, there are many other equally important reasons to support it.

“Many parents, for example, are rightly concerned about the growing politicization of the classroom,” Izumi explains. “Far from being mere anecdotal incidents—and there are lot of those—political bias is becoming systemic in public school systems and has turned many public schools into indoctrination centers for progressive ideologies and causes.”

For example, the United Educators of San Francisco, a teachers’ union, created an anti-Trump lesson plan and distributed it to 6,000 members. In the lesson plan, Trump was labeled a “racist and sexist man” and included only reports from left-wing sources such as Mother Jones. Teachers were instructed to tell students, “we will keep fighting” and “we must and will fight for justice against an unjust system and an unjust people.”

Izumi also cites the example of Yvette Felarca, a teacher at a middle school in Berkeley, Calif., who is the leader of By Any Means Necessary, which was described as a militant, radical group that uses violence to spread its message.
