This Retailer Won’t Let Cops Arrest Shoplifters

Target, a retailer that long has been socially progressive to the point of promoting controversial alternative lifestyle choices, has been in the headlines in recent months for those actions. . .

Now there’s a new report out that Target has gone extreme on yet another social agenda – the leftist agenda that includes essentially ignoring crimes like shoplifting.

Multiple George Soros-backed prosecutors have adopted that plan in recent months, to the point some have even declared they’ll not prosecute such thefts under, say, about $900.

It is the Epoch Times that is reporting sheriff Jim Cooper, serving residents of the far-left Sacramento County, accused Target of preventing deputies from apprehending shoplifters.

That’s despite the company’s request for help in curbing an explosion in the number of retail crime cases.

Police: School Janitor Contaminated Kids’ Food With Bodily Fluids, Possessed Child Porn

A New Jersey elementary school janitor who previously made headlines for allegedly contaminating food and cafeteria utensils with bodily fluids and bleach is now facing child pornography charges, prosecutors say.

Giovanni Impellizzeri, 25, had already been in custody since October 31 after state police received tips about his disturbing social media activity. He had posted “extremely disturbing videos of himself while at work” at the Elizabeth Moore School, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a press release.

Investigators found posts Impellizzeri made on a Telegram group thread, which appeared to show him “performing sexual acts with inanimate objects at the school,” officials said, noting that the janitor seemed to be “doing things that would endanger the well-being of the students at the school.”

The material included Impellizzeri allegedly urinating, masturbating, and spitting on food and utensils used by children, Fox News reported. In the affidavit obtained by the outlet, it was said that Impellizzeri allegedly wiped his private parts and anus with bread, spit on bread before putting the food back in the container, and sprayed bleach into a container of cucumbers. Syphilis Cases in U.S. Newborns Rise 10-Fold Over a Decade

The number of newborns with syphilis in the United States surged more than 10-fold in the last decade, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported on Tuesday.

The agency said 3,761 cases were recorded in 2022, the highest in over 30 years, up from 334 cases in 2012. The 2022 cases included 231 stillbirths and 51 infant deaths.

Nine out of 10 cases might have been prevented with timely testing and treatment during pregnancy, said Laura Bachmann, chief medical officer in CDC’s Division of STD Prevention.

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection that can cause serious health problems without treatment, and during pregnancy, can lead to stillbirth, miscarriage, infant death, and maternal and infant morbidity.

By treating patients quickly, healthcare professionals could reduce some of the greatest hurdles to the care some mothers need, said Bachmann. (Read more from “Syphilis Cases in U.S. Newborns Rise 10-Fold Over a Decade” HERE)

‘We Got It Wrong’: Famous Reality Star Describes How Media Portrayal of BLM Riots Caused Her To Do a 180 (VIDEO)

Famous tattoo artist and former reality star Kat Von D stated Monday that she questioned “everything” after realizing the biased media portrayal of COVID-19 lockdowns and Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots.

Von D, 41, appeared on “Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey” to discuss that she “credits” her husband for helping change her mind on opinions of politics and cultural issues. The reality star noted that she was never a “politically charged person,” however, she did follow the social narratives popular in Los Angeles, where she formerly owned and operated the tattoo shop featured on “LA Ink.”

“It was funny enough. I kind of blamed my husband or give him the credit. It was during like, right before, right when the lockdowns happened — I came downstairs and he just said, ‘Hey, babe, I think we got it wrong. You know, I think we got a lot of things wrong.’ And I was like, ‘no, no,’” Von D stated.

“I was never like a politically charged person I would say, like, ignorant political things just out of like, you know — because I don’t watch TV … I mean, I would see, like, whatever my friends would post or things like that, but I was never like, I couldn’t tell you who’s in office or anything like that, you know, at the time.”

Woman Dies After Taking Popular Weight Loss Drug To Shed Pounds for Daughter’s Wedding

An Australian woman trying to lose weight before her daughter’s wedding died from a side effect of a popular weight loss injection, 9Now reported Sunday.

Trish Webster, 56, was prescribed Ozempic — a diabetes drug that also causes weight loss — which she had been taking for five months at the time of her death. The woman then reportedly took another weight loss injection, Saxenda, losing a total of 35 pounds, according to 9Now.

Webster felt constantly ill throughout this period, according to her husband, Roy, who found her unresponsive on Jan. 16, the outlet reported.

“She had a little bit of brown stuff coming out of her mouth and I realized she wasn’t breathing, and started doing CPR,” Roy told 9Now. “It was just pouring out and I turned her onto the side because she couldn’t breathe.”

Webster’s death certificate cites an acute gastrointestinal illness as the cause, and Roy suspects the weight loss drugs played a role in his wife’s sudden death, per 9Now. (Read more from “Woman Dies After Taking Popular Weight Loss Drug To Shed Pounds for Daughter’s Wedding” HERE)

Students Walk Out in Protest of Bathroom Policy Allowing Biological Boys in Girls’ Bathrooms

Students at one Ohio high school walked out of class on Monday in protest of a policy allowing biological boys to use the girls’ bathroom if they identify as transgender.

Starting around noon, dozens of students walked out of Elida High School in northern Ohio just outside Lima, The Lima News reported.

Parents and other members of the community have reportedly been protesting the school’s transgender bathroom policy for months, arguing that allowing biological boys to use the girls’ bathroom infringes on the privacy of female students.

“We’re upset about biological boys in the girls’ bathroom,” said one freshman girl who walked out on Monday. “The school board hasn’t been listening.”

“There’s been multiple accounts of boys coming in the bathroom, or transgender girls, and bothering the girls in there and we’re just not for it,” the freshman girl told WLIO. “Biological boys need to stay in their own bathroom.” (Read more from “Students Walk Out in Protest of Bathroom Policy Allowing Biological Boys in Girls’ Bathrooms” HERE)

Female Student Athlete Seriously Injured in Field Hockey Game Involving Male Player: Reports

A female student-athlete reportedly had two of her teeth knocked out during a high school field hockey game last week after a shot struck by an opposing male player deflected off a teammate’s stick and caused the facial injury.

According to reports, the incident happened during the first round of the field hockey state playoffs between two Massachusetts high schools — Dighton-Rehoboth and Swampscott — on Thursday.

Dighton-Rehoboth Superintendent Bill Runey wrote a letter to families reported by local media, saying a male athlete on the Swampscott girls’ field hockey team took a shot that left “significant facial and dental injuries” to one of the team’s female athletes, which required hospitalization.

“When I stepped onto that bus last night when our girls got back to Regional Road, what I saw on their eyes was trauma,” Runey told a local NBC News channel. (Read more from “Female Student Athlete Seriously Injured in Field Hockey Game Involving Male Player: Reports” HERE)

‘He Took Our Boy’: Family of Hockey Star Killed Mid-Game ‘Absolutely’ Seeking ‘Justice’ and ‘Complete Investigation’

The family of now-deceased hockey star Adam Johnson wants answers.

The 29-year-old Johnson was playing for the Nottingham Panthers of Britain’s Elite Ice Hockey League when a member of the opposing team, Matt Petgrave, appeared to swing his skate up during a collision with Johnson, severing the carotid artery in Johnson’s throat, according to Yorkshire Live.

Johnson, who previously played for the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins, collapsed and was rushed to a local hospital, where he ultimately died, per the outlet.

Shock from the incident reverberated through the sporting world, with many — including members of Johnson’s own family — speculating about Petgrave’s intentions. His aunt, Keri Johnson, called for a full investigation into Adam’s death and described Petgrave’s actions as “reckless,” according to Yorkshire Live. ‘Glamour’ Names Transgender Model as ‘2023 Woman of the Year’

Glamour magazine has named a male-born transgender model as one of its 2023 Women of the Year awardees.

The magazine named Philippines model Geena Rocero as one of its seven women of the year picks in its November 1 announcement.

In its retrospective of Rocero’s career, it is revealed that the Filipino model got started when an adult drag queen groomed a then 15-year-old Rocero for a stage career.

Drag performer Tigerlily Garcia Temporosa, who is described as a “mentor and community mother,” praised Rocero as a “rising star” as a young teen.

“At 15 years old she took the highest titles here in the national pageant,” Temporosa enthused. “I [was] so proud and so happy. A lot of good transgender [competitors] wanted me to handle them, at that time, with Geena rising as a promising star.”

Poll: Homeschooling Continues to Rise Dramatically

Homeschooling has become America’s fastest-growing form of education and continues to explode in popularity long after pandemic-era remote learning has ended, a new Washington Post analysis shows.

The dramatic rise in homeschooling that began during the pandemic continued through the school year that ended this past spring, according to the Post’s analysis, which looked at data from nearly 7,000 school districts across the country.

Homeschooling’s continued popularity flies in the face of predictions that most families would go back to in-person classes at schools once controversial pandemic restrictions like mask mandates ended. Another concern parents had after the pandemic is learning loss in public schools, which may also be driving some families to homeschool.

“Home schooling’s surging popularity crosses every measurable line of politics, geography and demographics,” the Post’s analysis stated.

The analysis looked at data from 32 states and the District of Columbia, which represent more than 60% of school-age children. The data is incomplete because some states do not have reliable tallies of homeschoolers, and 11 states, including Texas, Michigan, Connecticut, and Illinois, do not require families to notify the state when they decide to homeschool.
