Major U.S. City’s Plan to Spy on Citizens Draws Fierce Opposition

Plans by the city of Houston to require businesses to install surveillance cameras – and then give police access – has drawn a warning letter from a second civil-rights organization.

WND reported in May when the Institute for Justice warned city officials the spy plans were unrealistic and illegal, because they would be in violation of the 4th Amendment.

Now the Rutherford Institute is raising related concerns.

The civil and religious rights organization said the city’s “Exterior Security Cameras Ordinance” is nothing more than a “thinly veiled attempt to evade oversight and accountability for Fourth Amendment violations.”

New Study Estimates 1.6 Million in the United States Identify as Transgender

A study published Friday estimates that approximately 1.64 million people over age 13 in the United States are “transgender.”

Reuters reported that the study done by researchers at UCLA’s Williams Institute claims that 0.5 percent of all American adults, 1.3 million people, and about 300,000 youth 13 to 17 years old identify as transgender. This means the individual “identifies” with a different gender than the sex they were assigned at birth.

The executive summary from the study says that there are more “transgender women” than “transgender men.” There are over 300,000 people who are “gender nonconforming.”

Over 1.6 million adults (ages 18 and older) and youth (ages 13 to 17) identify as transgender in the United States, or 0.6% of those ages 13 and older.

Among U.S. adults, 0.5% (about 1.3 million adults) identify as transgender. Among youth ages 13 to 17 in the U.S., 1.4% (about 300,000 youth) identify as transgender.

Sizing Down: Full List of US Companies Slammed for ‘Shrinkflation’

As high costs continue to drain the wallets of Americans, companies are now under fire for shrinking the size of their products.

This process is known as shrinkflation, which companies are using to not only scale down the size but aren’t even lowering the price of their products. . .

In particular, Bloomberg reported that Subway rotisserie chicken wraps and sandwiches contain less meat.

Also, Domino’s has cut down its number of boneless wings to eight from 10, while Burger King is doing the same with its chicken nuggets.

Homeowner With a Gun Halts Home Intrusion

An Iowa homeowner grabbed his gun after strange noises woke him up in middle of the night Thursday, after which he allegedly saw an intruder breaking through a window in his home southwest of Casey, which is very close to Interstate 80 — and shot the intruder multiple times.

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office said the home’s resident, after being awakened, heard additional loud noises and glass breaking — and saw someone trying to enter the residence through a broken window.

Officials said the resident fired multiple shots at the suspected intruder and then called 911 around 4:30 a.m.

Officers responded and administered first aid to the wounded individual, officials said, adding that the identity of the suspected intruder wasn’t immediately confirmed.

Adair Rescue and the Adair County Ambulance responded to the scene to provide additional medical aid, officials said, adding that the suspected intruder was transported by an Air-Ambulance to a Des Moines-area hospital where he was receiving treatment for multiple gunshot wounds. RINO Governor Says Trump Is ‘Politically, Morally Responsible’ for Jan. 6

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) on Sunday said former President Trump is “politically, morally responsible” for the Jan. 6 riot last year and called for Republicans to do some “soul-searching” after the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Hutchinson told “Fox News Sunday” guest host Bret Baier that while he did not believe Trump was criminally responsible for Jan. 6, he does think the former president shares blame for the insurrection.

“Trump is politically, morally responsible for much of what has happened, but in terms of criminal liability, I think the committee has a long way to go to establish that,” the governor said of the House select panel investigating Jan. 6. Police Arrest 31 Patriot Front Members Near LGBTQ Pride Event

Idaho police arrested 31 members of a group called Patriot Front after being found in a U-Haul vehicle near an LGBTQ Pride event in Coeur d’Alene on Saturday.

The arrests followed a call to police reporting a group of men carrying shields and dressed in military clothing, according to Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White.

The group reportedly wore shirts with Patriot Front logos, an organization that the Associated Press has described as a “white supremacist group.” Its website states, “Our people, born to this nation of our European race, must reforge themselves as a new collective capable of asserting our right to cultural independence.” . . .

“The group’s founder, Thomas Ryan Rousseau, was among those arrested, according to jail records. Like the others, Rousseau was arrested on a charge of criminal conspiracy to riot, a misdemeanor. A Former Obama Adviser Says Joe Biden’s Age Is a Red Flag

David Axelrod, a former adviser to Barack Obama during his presidency, raised a “major” red flag about the possibility of President Joe Biden’s plans to run for re-election in 2024.

The former Obama adviser’s statements appeared in a Saturday New York Times report that examined the growing presence of prominent Democrats who are increasingly worried about Biden’s leadership, the Washington Examiner reported.

Axelrod specifically noted his concerns with Biden’s elevated age noting that Biden would be nearly 90-years-old by the end of his second term if he wins reelection.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Slams Senate Republicans After Gun Agreement Reached

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican, took aim at GOP senators after a bipartisan agreement on gun reform legislation was announced on Sunday.

Ten Senate Republicans along with 10 Senate Democrats negotiated and agreed to bipartisan legislation that would be the most significant effort by Congress to address the national issue of mass shootings and gun violence in years. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat, and President Joe Biden welcomed the deal, which would be expected to pass if all 10 Republicans ultimately vote in favor.

Hours after the news broke, Greene took to Twitter to attack Senate Republicans, apparently over their willingness to work with Democrats to pass legislation.

Is Biden Planning to Purchase Oil From Saudi Arabia?

President Biden is expected to extend an olive branch to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman after promising to make him a “pariah” and working to isolate the Saudi regime for months.

On Monday, the White House confirmed that Biden is planning to visit the oil-rich nation this summer, marking the culmination of an 18-month standoff between Biden and the crown prince. Biden is trying to wind up back in the crown prince’s good graces as gas prices soar amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Insider News reported that attempts by U.S. officials to convince the Saudis to increase their oil production have thus far been unsuccessful. Reportedly, the crown prince has repeatedly ignored phone calls from Biden when the president has sought to discuss issues of oil availability.
