Poll: Americans ‘Not Willing’ to Risk American Lives in Ukraine

Most Americans are “not willing” to risk American lives to carry out a peacekeeping mission or enforce a ‘no-fly’ zone in Ukraine, a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group survey released Monday found.

The survey asked, “How willing are you to risk the lives of America’s young people to enforce a ‘nofly zone’ or peacekeeping mission in Ukraine?”

Overall, 66.3 percent indicated that they are not very willing to support that. Of those, 32.4 percent said they are “not willing at all,” and 33.9 percent said they are “not very willing.”

Another 26.3 percent said they are “somewhat” willing, but just 7.5 percent said they are “very willing.” (Read more from “Poll: Americans ‘Not Willing’ to Risk American Lives in Ukraine” HERE)

Rep. Cawthorn Says D.C. Elite Invited Him to ‘Orgy,’ Did Cocaine in Front of Him

Representative Madison Cawthorn, a North Carolina Republican, said in a recent interview that leaders that he “looked up to” in Washington, DC, have invited him to an “orgy” and did cocaine in front him. . .

In the interview, Lovell asked the congressman about the popular Netflix series House of Cards, which had six seasons from 2013 to 2018 and starred actors Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. The fictitious show featured the story of a corrupt politician and his wife as they blackmailed and clawed their way to greater and greater power in the nation’s Capitol. Lovell asked him if the show is an accurate representation of how DC operates.

“The sexual perversion that goes on in Washington, I mean, being kind of a young guy in Washington, average age is probably 60 or 70,” Cawthorn said, “I look at a lot of these people, a lot of them that I’ve looked up to through my life—I’ve always paid attention to politics—then all of a sudden you get invited to, ‘Oh hey we’re going to have a sexual get together at one of our homes, you should come.'”

Cawthorn then put on a shocked expression, saying his response was, “‘What did you just ask me to come to?’ And then you realize they’re asking you to come to an orgy.” The Republican lawmaker also said that “some of the people who are leading on the movement to try and remove addiction in our county” have done “a key bump of cocaine” right in front of him. WATCH: Steven Crowder Infiltrates ‘Fat Studies’ Conference, Absurd Academic Paper Gets Accepted

Conservative comedian and commentator Steven Crowder thought he’d try to expose the utter absurdity of modern academia — and it only took him a few months to do it.

Crowder said he’s now a peer-reviewed “expert” in the field of “Fat Studies” and had his ridiculous academic paper, titled, “Embracing Fatness as Self-Care in the Era of Trump,” accepted.

The conservative first pulled off the prank in 2020 but posted the video to his YouTube page on Monday. It’s since garnered nearly 1 million views[:]

Crowder went under cover as Sea Matheson, a fat pride activist, who submitted “her” very own fat studies paper for a presentation titled “Embracing Fatness as Self-Care in the Era of Trump.” Due to COVID, the in-person conference was canceled, but luckily, there was still a virtual conference.

Crowder’s abstract was accepted by the chairwoman Cat Paus, a self-described fat study scholar who scheduled Matheson to speak alongside other intellectual titans.

These Biden Actions Drove Gas Prices to Historic Highs

. . .[I]t’s not as simple or as nefarious — at least not on the part of oil and gas companies — as the Biden administration would like you to believe. And now, thanks to Rep. Jim Banks’ (R-IN) team at the Republican Study Committee, there are a lot more examples — 81, to be exact — of Biden’s actions that led to consistently rising gas prices since he took office. . .

On January 20, 2021, Biden signed an executive order directing the federal government to review and rescind President Trump’s policies that made the United States energy independent. Biden’s first actions also included increasing emissions regulations and restricting domestic energy. And, of course, he killed the Keystone XL Pipeline. The average price for a gallon of gas: $2.379.

Through his first months in office, Biden continued taking actions that cut off America’s rich fossil fuels and artificially incentivized alternative energy sources. There was another executive order focused on enforcing “environmental justice.” A decision to double the amount of wind energy on federal lands. A moratorium on oil and gas leases. And Biden put the United States back into the Paris Climate agreement. By mid-April in Biden’s first year, the national average for a gallon of gas had risen to $2.855.

Summer 2021 saw more anti-fossil fuel actions from the Biden administration, including a Department of Justice “Climate Action Plan” and a Department of Energy determination to ramp up regulations that would direct buildings away from using fossil fuel energy sources. By September, the national average for gas had reached $3.176.

The Biden administration continued through the fall to rescind or revoke President Trump’s actions and policies that had incentivized American energy and promoted safe, clean drilling and production to make the United States an energy-independent country. More “climate action plans” from federal agencies were released that further regulated and disincentivized reliable American energy. The Biden administration went after financial institutions to urge them not to do business with fossil fuel companies, required federal properties and contractors to move away from oil and gas, and went all-in on falsely-named “green” energy instead. NYC Mayor Calls the City a ‘Laughing Stock’ Due to Rising Crime

Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) said over the weekend that his city is now a “laughing stock” due to its ongoing rise in crime.

The New York Post reported that Adams made the comments at the annual New York Police Department Holy Name Society communion mass and breakfast at the Midtown Hilton. He reportedly pointed out two separate shootings last week that injured a 3-year-old and 7-year-old.

“Anything goes in the city of New York,” he stated at the event. “The most important city on the globe has become the laughing stock of the globe.”

Adams noted that the violence in New York has caused a ripple effect in the rest of the United States.

“The dysfunctionality of our city has cascaded throughout the entire country,” he added. (Read more from “NYC Mayor Calls the City a ‘Laughing Stock’ Due to Rising Crime” HERE)

DOJ Wants to Hire 131 More Lawyers for Jan. 6 Prosecutions

The Department of Justice wants to hire 131 additional lawyers to assist with the prosecution of cases stemming from the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

The $34.1 million request appears in the agency’s fiscal 2023 budget proposal released Monday, according to Insider. In total, the DOJ is asking Congress to approve a $37.7 billion budget, a $2.6 billion increase over the current fiscal year.

“The January 6 investigation is among the most wide-ranging and most complex that this department has ever undertaken,” Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco said in a statement. “It reaches nearly every US attorney’s office, nearly every FBI field office.” (Read more from “DOJ Wants to Hire 131 More Lawyers for Jan. 6 Prosecutions” HERE)

Largest University System In US Eliminates Standardized Testing

The largest four-year university system in the United States has removed SAT and ACT scores from its application requirements, marking a significant shift in the national discussion to eliminate standardized testing from admissions decisions.

Removing the requirement will “level the playing field” for all students, acting Chancellor Steve Relyea argued after the California State University’s Board of Trustees unanimously voted Wednesday to scrap standardized testing. The move will diversify the school system’s student body by removing obstacles that often hinder some prospective students from applying, the board said.

“In essence, we are eliminating our reliance on a high-stress, high-stakes test that has shown negligible benefit and providing our applicants with greater opportunities to demonstrate their drive, talents, and potential for college success,” Relyea said in a statement.

The California State University has utilized a “test-free” admissions system for the last two academic years “in response to the pandemic and other factors challenging students and families today.“

In lieu of standardized testing, the board of trustees said it would utilize a set of “multi-factored admission criteria” to admit prospective students, such as their high school GPA, extracurricular involvement, and household income. Joe Biden Now Says He Was Not Calling for Regime Change in Russia; White House Walking Back Biden’s Remarks on Removing Putin From Power Doesn’t Quiet the Chatter

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden said Sunday he was not calling for Russian President Vladimir Putin to be removed from office, in a speech he delivered Saturday in Poland.

Back in the United States, reporters shouted a question to the president about his speech as he attended church Sunday evening in Washington, DC.

“Mr. President, do you want Putin removed? Mr. President, were you calling for regime change?” a reporter shouted.

“No,” Biden replied before entering his presidential limousine and motorcading back to the White House.

The president’s response is the first time he personally addressed his comment that shocked the world after he said Russian President Vladimir “cannot remain in power.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Now Says He Was Not Calling for Regime Change in Russia” HERE)

White House Walking Back Biden’s Remarks on Removing Putin From Power Doesn’t Quiet the Chatter

By Townhall. After President Joe Biden during his Saturday speech in Warsaw called for removing Russia’s Vladimir Putin from power, the White House has since walked back the president’s remarks. “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden had said. These remarks came even after the White House, in the form of remarks from both White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki and Secretary of State Antony Blinken had earlier this month that it was not the administration’s position to support regime change.

Shortly after the speech, Wall Street Journal reporter Tarini Parti tweeted back a response from the White House. The response in part claimed that Biden “was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change,” even Biden himself had clearly said “this man cannot remain in power,” referring to Putin.

In case there’s any question, Putin heard Biden’s calls for regime change, as Marisa Schultz reported for Fox News, citing Rebekah Koffler, a Russian-born former Defense Intelligence Agency officer, who said “Putin heard loud and clear a call for regime change.”

Tellingly, this line wasn’t even planned, and came as a surprise to more than those just following along on Twitter. Ed Wheelan highlighted as much at length in a Twitter thread, as he too raised concerns about the potential ramifications for Biden’s remarks.

Newsweek: Russia is Avoiding Civilian Targets, Used Far Less Total Ordinance than U.S. Did in One Day in Iraq

Russia’s conduct in the brutal war tells a different story than the widely accepted view that Vladimir Putin is intent on demolishing Ukraine and inflicting maximum civilian damage—and it reveals the Russian leader’s strategic balancing act. If Russia were more intentionally destructive, the clamoring for U.S. and NATO intervention would be louder. And if Russia were all-in, Putin might find himself with no way out. Instead, his goal is to take enough territory on the ground to have something to negotiate with, while putting the government of Ukraine in a position where they have to negotiate. . .

In nearly a month since Russia invaded, dozens of Ukrainian cities and towns have fallen, and the fight over the country’s largest cities continues. United Nations human rights specialists say that some 900 civilians have died in the fighting (U.S. intelligence puts that number at least five times UN estimates). About 6.5 million Ukrainians have also become internally displaced (15 percent of the entire population), half of them leaving the country to find safety. . .

But, the analyst says, the damage associated with a contested ground war involving peer opponents shouldn’t blind people to what is really happening. (The analyst requested anonymity in order to speak about classified matters.) “The heart of Kyiv has barely been touched. And almost all of the long-range strikes have been aimed at military targets.”

.. .In the analyst’s view, though the war has led to unprecedented destruction in the south and east, the Russian military has actually been showing restraint in its long-range attacks.

As of the past weekend, in 24 days of conflict, Russia has flown some 1,400 strike sorties and delivered almost 1,000 missiles (by contrast, the United States flew more sorties and delivered more weapons in the first day of the 2003 Iraq war). The vast majority of the airstrikes are over the battlefield, with Russian aircraft providing “close air support” to ground forces. The remainder—less than 20 percent, according to U.S. experts—has been aimed at military airfields, barracks and supporting depots. (Read more about Russia avoiding civilian targets HERE)

Biden Approval Rating Tumbles to Lowest of Presidency: Poll

President Biden’s job-approval rating has plummeted to the lowest of his White House tenure — and seven in 10 Americans lack confidence in the commander-in-chief’s ability to handle the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a survey released Sunday found.

The number of Americans who approve of Biden’s actions since he took the helm of the country in January 2021 has fallen to 40% – the lowest of his presidency and a dramatic 13 percentage-point drop from April 2021, the NBC News poll shows.

The poll was conducted between March 18 and 22, before Biden left for his trip to Europe, where he met with allies, visited US troops in Poland and declared that Russian leader Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power.”

The survey indicates that Americans don’t have faith in his leadership amid the Ukraine crisis, with 71% saying they have “just some” or “very little” confidence in Biden’s ability to respond to the war — including 43% of Democrats.

An overwhelming number of Americans — 82% — also say they are concerned that the war will ultimately result in the use of nuclear weapons, 74% fear US troops will end up fighting in Ukraine, and 83% worry the war will continue to cause price hikes for gasoline and other goods and services.
