Girl Snatched From Campground Rescued Hours After Predator Slipped Note Into Family Mailbox

Missing 9-year-old Charlotte Sena has been found after disappearing from Moreau Lake State Park in New York on Saturday, authorities say.

New York State Police announced that a suspect has been taken into custody over the incident on Monday night. Sena is currently safe and healthy, and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

At around 4:20 a.m., state police saw a man drop something in the Sena family mailbox, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul. It was a ransom note. . .

State and federal tactical teams then stormed a camper behind his mother’s double-wide trailer in Milton, just outside Saratoga Springs.

“Within the camper they located the suspect,”: Hochul said during a Friday evening news briefing in Latham. “After some resistance, the suspect was taken into custody, and immediately the little girl was found in a cabinet, covered. Progressive Journalist Who Downplayed Dem City’s Crime Is Shot and Killed

Philadelphia journalist Josh Kruger was shot and killed at his home in the Point Breeze neighborhood overnight, with police saying they do not currently have an suspects.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports before 1:30 in the morning, police responded to reports of gunshots and screams on the 2300 block of Watkins Street. Outside, officers found Josh Kruger shot multiple times and collapsed in the street. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his severe injuries just before 2:15 a.m.

Philadelphia police say they believe someone was able to gain access to Kruger’s home, as there is no sign of forced entry, before Kruger was shot at the base of his stairs. After the shooter fled, Kruger got outside his home for help.

Kruger recently posted on his Facebook account someone came to his house searching for their boyfriend — “a man I’ve never met once in my entire life.” The person called themselves “Lady Diabla, the She-Devil of the Streets” and threatened him.

In addition to writing for different local outlets in Philadelphia, Kruger was a former city spokesperson. On his X account, Kruger often downplayed the crime crisis in the city, along with criticizing conservatives for pointing out the problem, including days leading up to his death.

Poll: RFK Jr. Independent Bid Would Help Trump, Hurt Biden

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. running as an independent 2024 presidential candidate would help former President Donald Trump and hurt President Joe Biden in the general election, a recent Echelon Insights survey found.

A preview of the survey shows Trump leading Biden in a head-to-head presidential matchup nationally, 46 percent to 43 percent — a three-point lead. In that scenario, 11 percent remain unsure for whom they would vote.

However, with Kennedy running as an independent candidate, Trump’s lead over Biden expands by one point, growing to four points — 40 percent to Biden’s 36 percent. Kennedy garners 14 percent support. In that scenario, ten percent remain unsure.

Another look at the survey’s cross tabs shows Kennedy ultimately taking 17 percent of Democrat-leaning voters while taking 11 percent among Republican-leaning voters. In other words, Democrats are more negatively affected by a Kennedy independent run than Republicans are.

Donald Trump Called On ‘Democrat Operative’ Judge in New York Fraud Case to Be ‘Disbarred’

Former President Donald Trump said New York Judge Arthur Engoron, the presiding judge over New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil fraud case against the former president, is a “democrat operative” and called on him to be “disbarred.”

Monday marked the first day of James’ civil fraud trial against Trump, a case expected to last three months.

Trump appeared in court for the first day of his trial and blasted Judge Engoron, James, and the entire process at various points throughout the day, including before the trial started, during the lunch break, and at the end of the day’s proceedings.

Trump argued Engoron should be “disbarred” for his actions in this case.

“This is a judge that should be disbarred. This is a judge that should be out of office,” Trump said. “This is a judge that some people say could be charged criminally for what he’s doing. He’s interfering with an election, and it’s a disgrace.”

Matt Gaetz Files Motion to Remove Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida filed a motion Monday to remove House Speaker Kevin McCarthy from his position.

Gaetz had vowed to bring such a “motion to vacate the chair” following Congress’ rapid enactment of a continuing resolution on Saturday to avoid a government shutdown, which was supported in the House by Democrats and moderate Republicans but opposed by GOP conservatives. Gaetz has argued that McCarthy’s decision to accept Democratic support breached an agreement reached in January, which led to his speakership after 15 rounds of voting, as well as claimed that he engaged in a “secret side deal” with President Joe Biden to fund Ukraine’s war effort against Russia, which he and other House Republicans have opposed, leading him to file a motion to vacate the chair on Monday.

“Resolved, the office of Speaker of the House of Representatives is hereby declared to be vacant,” Gaetz read from his privileged resolution at the conclusion of Monday’s votes.

Plane Crash Kills State Senator, His Wife and Two Kids: Report

Republican North Dakota state Sen. Doug Larsen and his family were killed in a plane crash in Utah on Sunday night, according to an email sent by Republican Senate Majority Leader David Hogue obtained by the Associated Press.

“Senator Doug Larsen, his wife Amy, and their two young children died in a plane crash last evening in Utah,” Hogue wrote, according to the AP. “They were visiting family in Scottsdale and returning home. They stopped to refuel in Utah.”

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that four people died in the Moab crash, but did not confirm their identities. . .

“At approximately 8:30 p.m. the Grand County Sheriff’s Office received information from a reporting party of a plane going into the ground shortly after taking off from the Canyonlands Airfield north of Moab,” they said in a statement. “Grand County Sheriff’s Deputies, Moab Fire Department personnel and Emergency Medical technicians responded. Classical Air Medical located the downed aircraft and an assessment of patients is currently underway. Further information will be presented as soon as possible,” the statement concludes. Trump Praises Statement From Judge Concerning Statute of Limitations

Former President Donald Trump left the New York courtroom at the end of Monday’s proceedings praising Judge Arthur Engoron for what he called an “outstanding” last five minutes that, according to Trump, fell in his favor.

“That last five minutes was outstanding because the judge essentially conceded that they statute of limitations that we won at the court of appeals is in effect. Therefore, about 80% of the case is over,” Trump told reporters after exiting the court.

He said it was “unfair” there wasn’t a jury to decide the case, but continued praising the judge’s statement he referenced.

Biden Admin Secretly Worried About Corruption in Ukraine: Report

President Joe Biden’s administration is reportedly secretly worried about corruption in Ukraine despite putting on brave face for the public over the situation.

Politico obtained a confidential U.S. strategy document in which U.S. officials discuss objectives that they have for helping Ukraine “root out malfeasance and otherwise reform an array of Ukrainian sectors,” the report said.

The document warns that corruption in the country could cause nations to pull their support from the country as it battles the Russian military.

The report said that the administration wants to “press Ukraine to cut graft, not least because U.S. dollars are at stake.”

The administration is reportedly concerned about being too loud about pressuring Ukraine to tackle its corruption issues because they are worried Republicans will use the issue to cut back funding to Ukraine which could then spark other countries to do the same. Top Scientist Has Meltdown When Confronted With Absurdity of Men in Women’s Sports

. . .On Saturday, world-renowned astrophysicist Niel deGrasse Tyson appeared on British comedian Konstantin Kisin’s “TRIGGERnometry” podcast to defend his recent statement that gender exists “on a spectrum.”

When Kisin asked Tyson about the comment, Tyson responded, “If who you decide is male and female in the street is a construct of style and trends, and what the beauty industrial complex wants you to see . . . then maybe some people want to be fluid within that gender.” . . .

Kisin and Tyson then moved on to discuss the pressing issue of men competing in women’s sports.

When Kisin pointed out that the differences between men and women were not just psychological but physical as well, giving them an advantage over women in sports, Tyson pointed out that athletes in several sports were already divided based on weight to even out the competition.

“Then you find ways to slice the population so that whatever the event is interestingly contested,” he said. “So, for example, I wrestled in my life. I was captain of my high school wrestling team. Kamala Targets Guns in Hopes of Bolstering Presidential Bona Fides

Kamala Harris has been described by critics as the worst vice president ever. Also as the best impeachment insurance ever, as few would want to exchange even a fading Joe Biden for her cackle and flubs. . .

But she apparently sees an opportunity in the new White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.

Her other accomplishments in office have been minimal. She was supposed to uncover and defeat the root causes of illegal immigration, only to see that problem worsen catastrophically. Of course her advocacy for abortion has become like many other Democrats.

Representatives for Harris have disputed that she’s responsible for Biden’s immigration failures, but she’s coming more and more under the microscope of Republicans including 2024 candidates Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis.
