Manhattan Judge Sets Trump’s Hush-Money Criminal Case Trial for Middle of Primary Season

A Manhattan judge set former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial date for the middle of the primary season, The Associated Press reported Tuesday.

Trump appeared virtually in a court hearing regarding the criminal investigation into whether alleged hush money payments were made via forged business records, according to the AP. Judge Juan Merchan scheduled Trump’s criminal trial to March 25, forcing the former president to come before the Manhattan court room amid the highly contentious primary season.

The former president expressed frustration during his appearance, and threw his hands up when Merchan ordered him to cancel all other plans for the newly-scheduled court appearance, which could last for weeks, according to the AP. Trump took to Truth Social following his virtual courtroom visit, and argued the judge infringed on his First Amendment rights.

“Just had New York County Supreme Court hearing where I believe my First Amendment Rights, ‘Freedom of Speech,’ have been violated, and they forced upon us a trial date of March 25th, right in the middle of Primary season,” Trump wrote. “Very unfair, but this is exactly what the Radical Left Democrats wanted. It’s called ELECTION INTERFERENCE, and nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before!!!”

Corporate Media Is Hiding the Real Reason Disney Canceled Its New Florida Investment

Disney scrapped its plan to build a new office complex in Florida that would have cost the company nearly $1 billion. While the move is likely part of an overall cost-cutting plan, the corporate media framed the story as a virtuous rebuke of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ policies.

In The New York Times’ coverage, reporter Brooks Barnes lamented the 2,000 jobs that the Lake Nona region of Florida was set to lose due to Disney’s decision. The project would have re-located mostly high-paid Disney employees from the current California office to a new campus 20 miles from Disney World.

However, Barnes spent the bulk of the article framing the move around Disney’s, as well as the Democrats’ preferred narrative. He blamed the move on DeSantis’ “scorched-earth attempt” to reign in Disney’s foray into left-wing gender politics. He discussed a memo, viewed by the Times, that blamed the “changing business conditions” in Florida for forcing Disney to reconsider further investment in the state.

The memo did not mention DeSantis by name, but it didn’t have to. There was no need for Disney CEO (and prominent Biden supporter) Bob Iger to get his hands dirty and spark another public sparring match with DeSantis. Disney executives let the media do the dirty work for them. Two anonymous sources confirmed to the Times that Disney’s “battle with the governor and his allies in the Florida Legislature figured prominently into Disney’s decision to cancel the Lake Nona project.” That is all the corporate press needed to justify sparking the latest anti-DeSantis narrative. Charge Against Shareholder Activist Detained After Invoking Epstein Dropped

A trespassing charge against a conservative activist investor who was arrested at Berkshire Hathaway’s recent shareholder meeting after bringing up dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been dropped.

The Daily Wire has learned that a prosecutor in Omaha, Nebraska, informed Peter Flaherty, chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), last week that he reviewed the case and declined prosecution.

While the prosecutor could not immediately be reached for comment, Flaherty said in a phone call on Tuesday that it was “the weakest case imaginable” and is “glad” the charge is no more.

At the annual meeting in Omaha earlier this month, Flaherty had been recognized to speak in support of a proposal to require the roles of CEO and chairman be held by two different people. Both of those titles are held by Warren Buffett, and Flaherty argued the Omaha-based company would be less identified with Buffett’s political activities if the chair was independent.

After getting into how Buffett donated billions of dollars to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’ foundation, as well as efforts supporting Critical Race Theory and gender ideology, Flaherty said a Berkshire official approached to tell him to stay on topic. Buffett gave him the go-ahead to continue, and that’s when Flaherty mentioned Gates’ ties to Epstein. Poll: Most Voters Believe Joe Biden Engaged in ‘Illegal Influence Peddling Scheme’ With Hunter

Most registered voters think President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden partook “in an illegal influence peddling scheme while he was Vice President,” according to a Harvard/Harris poll.

The poll, conducted between May 17-18, asked participants, “From what you know, do you think Hunter Biden was involved in illegal influence peddling and tax evasion, or do you think he was not involved in such crimes?”

Of the registered voter respondents, 63 percent, including 83 percent of Republicans and 65 percent of voters outside of the two major parties, believe Hunter Biden “was involved in illegal influence.” More than four in ten Democrats believe the same.

A majority of 53 percent of respondents say that President Biden engaged “in an illegal influence peddling scheme” with his son when he served as vice president. This included most Republicans (79 percent) and independents (58 percent), while a majority of 75 percent of Democrats think the opposite.

Moreover, 55 percent of all participants say that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is “not really fully investigating” Hunter Biden’s laptop or “foreign business dealings,” including most Republicans and third-party and unaffiliated voters, while 66 percent of Democrats think the agency is “fully investigating” the device. Report: ‘Woke’ Fox News Imposes Transgenderism on Workforce

Fox News quietly enforces woke pro-transgender workplace policies on its employees, even while it poses as a critical source of news about transgenderism, says a report at the Daily Signal.

The May 22 report cites the company’s handbook for employees, saying that “transgender” rights require that all other employees accept sex-switching claims without any “transphobic” disagreement, complaints, or appeals to science:

Under the category “Gender Transition,” Fox’s employee handbook promises that the company is dedicated to “expanding and strengthening” efforts to “sustain a more inclusive work environment.” The Fox employee handbook is posted on Workday, where employees can see company guidelines or policies, a former employee told The Daily Signal.

“Employees who are transitioning their gender have the right to be open about their transition if they so choose, and to work in an environment free of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation, and without fear of consequences or transphobia for living openly,” the policy says.

Biden HHS Offers Grants for LGBT Youth Counseling to Encourage ‘Family Acceptance’

President Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is offering up to $1.7 million in grants to groups promoting “acceptance” of LGBT youths through counseling and family via the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

The program is meant to promote family acceptance of gay and transgender youth in order to prevent health and behavioral risks that are a particular concern for LGBT youth including suicide, depression, homelessness, drug use and HIV, according to SAMHSA. Grant recipients can receive up to $425,000 for programs that help “reduce rejection” of LGBT youth by their families and caregivers and increase family acceptance by connecting them to counseling services.

“Research has shown that LGBTQI+ youth are at greater risk for poor behavioral health outcomes than their cisgender, heterosexual counterparts… Discrimination, peer victimization, and family rejection also contribute to poor mental health amongst this population,” the grant website reads. “Thus, the LGBTQI+ Family Support program aims to reduce rejection and increase family/caregiver acceptance to improve the behavioral health of LGBTQI+ youth.” (Read more from “Biden HHS Offers Grants for LGBT Youth Counseling to Encourage ‘Family Acceptance’” HERE)

Another IRS Investigator Claims Hunter Biden Inquiry Misconduct

The criminal probe into Hunter Biden took another wild turn as an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) investigator who was dismissed from the case says agency officials have been ignoring claims that the Justice Department has been mishandling the inquiry led by U.S. Attorney David Weiss.

A special agent, who works under the IRS supervisor seeking to make whistleblower disclosures to Congress regarding allegations that the investigation has been corrupted by lies and politics, said efforts to bring forward these “issues” were shunned by their direct IRS superiors in the Criminal Investigation Division for years, according to an email to agency leadership.

“The ultimate decision to remove the investigatory team … without actually talking to that investigatory team, in my opinion was a decision made not to side with the investigators but to side with the US Attorney’s Office and Department of Justice who we have been saying for some time has been acting inappropriately,” the special agent added.

Lawyers representing the IRS supervisor attached the subordinate’s email in a weekend transmission to IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel. Anti-Vax Doc With Massive Following Dies After Claiming He’d Been Poisoned Following CNN Interview

A … doctor, known for his wild takes on the Coronavirus pandemic, claimed he had been poisoned just a few days before he died.

Dr Rashid Buttar, who was part of the group nicknamed the “Disinformation dozen”, died suddenly yesterday (Saturday, May 20) at the age of 57.

He was known for being a huge anti-vaxxer and became a cult figure during the pandemic. . .

However, he has now died just days after claiming he had been given a “poison” containing “200 times of what was in the vaccine.”

A Relentlessly Anti-Trump Lady Filed Another Lawsuit Against Trump

E. Jean Carroll said she would do it after Donald Trump mocked her during CNN’s town hall event on May 10. After winning a $5 million judgment in a civil case, Trump called Carroll, who has accused the former president of raping her in the 1990s, a whack job. Ms. Carroll was mulling another legal action against Trump for those remarks and followed through on those reflections today, seeking additional restitution for the damages. Trump said he would appeal the initial $5 million ruling (via NYT):

Ms. Carroll’s filing Monday in Manhattan federal court seeks to intensify the financial pain for Mr. Trump. The jury in her civil case found him liable on May 9 for sexual abuse and defamation. It ordered him to pay Ms. Carroll, a former advice columnist and fixture in Manhattan’s media circles, $2 million for the sexual abuse and $3 million for the defamation.

Monday’s filing came in a separate defamation lawsuit that Ms. Carroll had filed in 2019 against Mr. Trump, 76, which is before the same judge who presided in the civil trial but had been sidetracked by appeals. The older case stemmed from comments Mr. Trump made that year, shortly after she said that he had raped her in a Manhattan department store dressing room in the mid-1990s. That lawsuit is still pending.

Someone Tried to Recruit Tucker Carlson to Run for President. Here’s What He Said

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson responded — through his attorney – to a PAC that attempted to draft him for a 2024 presidential run, and he made it absolutely clear that he was not interested.

Carlson’s attorney Harmeet Dhillon sent the Draft Tucker PAC a cease and desist letter, which was obtained by Mediaite, demanding that they stop raising funds using Carlson’s name.

“It has come to Mr. Carlson’s attention that you are soliciting contributions and donor contact information from the public by representing that the funds will be used to draft Mr. Tucker to run for President in 2024,” Dhillon wrote, adding, “Mr. Carlson will not run for President in 2024 under any circumstances, and therefore your misrepresentations are damaging to Mr. Carlson and defrauding his supporters.”

“If you do not immediately cease and desist your efforts to solicit money to ‘draft’ Mr. Carlson, we will use every legal means at our disposal to vindicate his rights and protect his supporters from these misrepresentations,” the letter continued.
