Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said local New York police departments must pass race reforms or they will lose state funding.
During a press briefing on Saturday, Cuomo told protesters they “won” by protesting over the issues of police violence and systemic racism, introducing a plan in which communities will implement reforms consistent with their constituency’s demands. . .
“If you don’t do it, local government, you won’t get any state funding. Period. We’re not going to tell you what to do. But we’ll tell you have to go through the process. And you have to pass a law with your redesigned police force,” Cuomo said, setting a deadline for April 1.

Seattle’s police chief told her department Thursday it was “not my decision” to abandon a precinct in an area of the city taken over by protesters — and blasted city officials for giving in to the demonstrators.
In a video address published on the department’s YouTube page, Chief Carmen Best said the city “relented to severe public pressure.”
“You fought for days to protect [the precinct]. I asked you to stand on that line. Day in and day out, to be pelted with projectiles, to be screamed at, threatened and in some cases hurt,” Best told the force.
“Then to have a change of course nearly two weeks in, it seems like an insult to you and our community.”

As part of its series of undercover videos exposing left-wing organizations like Antifa, Project Veritas released footage claiming to show far-left Democrat activists bragging about George Soros funding and political connections.
Tom Steyer – who unsuccessfully campaigned for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination for 2020 – and liberal financier George Soros are both named as financial contributors in the new clip on Refuse Fascism, an organization dedicated to removing President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence from office.
Andy Zee, national organizer for the group, mentions during the seven-minute video that Steyer “may not want to be directly connected” to the group because he has “political ambitions” that may be hurt by such a relationship, but Zee says the group is in communication with Steyer’s assistant and “main adviser on impeachment.”

Officials believe Jose Felan Jr. and his girlfriend Mena Yousif are on the run from law enforcement. They said Felan has multiple felony convictions on his record, including drug offenses, burglary, and aggravated assault. . .
Numerous fires broke out in Minnesota during protests against the death of George Floyd, who died while in police custody.

Candidate Joe Biden defined the blackness of black people by saying if they did not support him “you ain’t black.” Obviously the strategy to campaign on this issue was made in the days prior to the South Carolina primary. What we see now is a continuation of that plan. However, the pandering is over-the-top; and there are indications of a backlash from within the black community.
It does not matter what your race, ethnicity or skin color is, no-one likes being talked down to. The nature of the leftist political effort by the DNC’s white coastal elites is based on expressed superiority in alignment with the ‘you ain’t black enough’ outlook from presidential candidate Joe Biden.
This approach will predictably backfire, bigly, in part because campaign director James Clyburn himself is detached from current political sentiment by his age and class-structure. It’s 2020 knuckleheads.
The democrats are poll-testing their approach, but the audience responding to the polls are just more leftist elites. The Democrats are defining an Alinsky strategy through their own biased prism of race. Then they ask opinion of that strategy to a closed and cloistered echo-chamber. It is a circle of racist stupidity.
Outside the DNC ideological bubble, where real people live, work, interact and enjoy each-others fellowship, what the Democrats are trying to do is so fraught with cringe that ordinary people are embarrassed to associate with the effort. This is a big part of the reason why their heavily coordinated and scripted effort is not gaining traction.
Black people do not want the police to be defunded, by leftist activists and trust-fund protestors who don’t even live in the neighborhoods where police are needed, any more than any other person does. Common sense exists within every race.
Racism at it’s basic U.S. form is defined by economics; limo-liberals have the greatest likelihood of actually being racist. Blue-collar middle-class America doesn’t sit around wasting time thinking about race and class struggles. Each individual tries to live their best life and do the best they can for their family. Leaders of New York’s police unions blasted the state legislature Tuesday for making changes to laws affecting them in the wake of the George Floyd police-involved killing, accusing lawmakers of “not giving us a seat at the table.”
Nearly 100 union leaders and cops massed for the June 9 press conference under the RFK Bridge on Randalls Island, to address inequities in the way the legislature is dealing with police-related bills. They also expressed frustration with the continuing riots and violence against them, threats of “defunding” and increases in violent crime.
The unions are coming off of 12 days of protests and violence, most of it directed at police officers after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis at the hands of a police officer Derek Chauvin. While union leaders called the killing “disgusting,” they claim there have already been numerous changes made to policing which has made New York’s officers the “best in the world.”
Pat Lynch, president of the largest of the unions, the Police Benevolent Association, said his officers have been abused and attacked at a time when crime is rising, yet, the city is discussing “defunding” the NYPD and “tying our hands behind our backs.” He noted that there were 40 people shot last week alone, and there were 7 people shot just last night and a total of 10 shootings for the evening; hundreds of stores were vandalized and looted during protests, and cops were attacked with bricks.

The Blaze. An African woman posted a video excoriating Democrats for using traditional African garb in their political photo op on Monday, but her viral message was met with vitriolic anger by some liberals.
Obianuju Ekeocha posted the video to Twitter where it quickly garnered hundreds of thousands views for criticizing the Black Lives Matter demonstration by Democrats using a traditional Kente cloth. . .
I had to say something about the American politicians shameless and ignorantly using the Kente fabric as a prop in their virtue signaling.
Some African Americans on social media also criticized the political photo op by Democrats, while others noted that it was the Congressional Black Caucus that passed out the kente cloths to the lawmakers.
Later, Ekeocha posted an example of a vitriolic email she received from someone angry about her video.
“Well, they’ve sent their dogs after me,” she said. “This is exactly how people view Africans who dare to contradict them.”

Georgia State Trooper O’Neal Saddler refused to kneel during a Black Lives Matter protest in Hartwell, Georgia, on Sunday, saying he “has much respect” but only kneels “for one person.” . . .
“If I didn’t have any respect, I wouldn’t [be here],” Saddler began saying to a female protester. “I was supposed to be out of town this weekend with my wife. I took off today, this weekend, but I’m out here to make sure y’all are safe.”
“Don’t go there with respect, OK? I have much respect, but I only kneel for one person,” Saddler continued.
“And that’s God,” someone else from the crowd chimed in. Saddler affirmed the statement.

Prominent black conservatives are seeing how the mainstream media are using the death of George Floyd — to portray America as racist, to vilify all police officers, to force the mantle of victimhood onto black Americans — and they are calling foul.
Notable figures including Candace Owens, Rob Smith, Terrence K. Williams, and Keith and Kevin Hodge are rejecting the roles that Democrat politicians and establishment journalists have assigned to black Americans in the wake of the protests and violent riots that have paralyzed major cities during the last seven days.
For their decision to speak out, they are being called “Uncle Tom’s,” “coons,” and white supremacists by left-wingers. . .
The violence has angered black conservatives, who are faulting #BlackLivesMatter organizers for failing to control or condemn the mayhem. Breitbart News reported on one Washington, D.C. resident who expressed her disgust with the movement during a protest on Sunday.
“Black Lives Matter is a joke. You are the racists,” said Nestride Yumga, an American citizen originally from Africa.
