Massive Protests Against Leftist Colombian President Break Out (VIDEO)

Thousands of protesters gathered in the streets of Colombia Sunday to rally against leftist President Gustavo Petro following his recent proposal of a social reform agenda.

Videos posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) shows the large group of protesters filling the streets of several cities, including the capital of Bogota. One clip circulating online shows Bolivar Plaza outside the presidential palace completely full of activists, with most holding umbrellas and a few waving flags over their heads.

Since Petro was sworn into office in August 2022, many Colombians have been outspoken against the leftist leader’s guidance. However, momentum has grown against Petro notably after laying out a possible plan to rewrite the country’s constitution through his social reform agenda, according to the Associated Press. The Colombian president stated that the country would have to “call a national constituent assembly” which is a legal mechanism that last allowed the rewrite of the Constitution in 1991, according to Bloomberg.

“Colombia has to call a national constituent assembly,” Petro stated. “Colombia doesn’t have to kneel.”

Anti-Israel protesters at Yale University tore down an American flag on Friday night as they occupied the campus in what Jewish students have called an act of intimidation against them and against the university.

The video circulated on social media on Saturday and Sunday, with kaffiyeh-clad activists whooping and cheering as they tore down the Stars and Stripes.

People on the right often ask, “Why do we keep losing?” That’s a loaded question with many layers to it, so much so that we could spend all day unpacking the reasons. But to simplify things, we’ve found a video clip that perfectly captures why conservatives lose. It zeroes in on the current Trump show trial in New York City. Here, the former president is battling to get a fair trial in the liberal-run chaos of Manhattan. It’s a clear, concise example that shows just how steep the hill we have to climb really is and how we constantly shoot ourselves in the foot, thanks to misguided conservative virtue.

In this clip, you’ll see a woman who, at first glance, seems like she’d be the perfect juror for Trump. She appeared favorable to him but declined to serve because she didn’t think she could be impartial. Many conservatives might see this and think, “That’s just us doing the right, constitutional thing.” But that’s where we’re missing the mark. In this ongoing battle with the left, simply playing by the rules isn’t going to cut it. We keep getting knocked down because the left isn’t playing the same game. They aren’t concerned with rules or the Constitution; they’re focused on crushing their enemies and winning at all costs, and it’s working.

Does this mean we need to throw out all the rules and become lawless like them? Not exactly, but we need to recognize that we’re in a war. Playing on an “invisible high road” just to feel virtuous in front of the camera isn’t helping us win. While we preach about morality, left-wing activist judges and jurors are steamrolling over us and the principles our country stands for.

This woman is what you’d call a principled young lady, and she’s a perfect example of why we lose. This is the principled defeat we always hear about. She’s probably very nice and conscientious, but in this case, she’s totally and completely wrong. Joe Biden Claims His Uncle Was ‘Shot Down’ Where There Were Cannibals: ‘Never Recovered His Body’ (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden told reporters on Wednesday that his uncle, Ambrose J. Finnegan, was “shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals,” and authorities “never found his body.”

Biden “misstated key details about his uncle’s death,” the Associated Press reported. Finnegan died on May 14, 1944, according to the Pentagon’s Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. Finnegan was a passenger on an Army Air Forces plane that he ditched “for unknown reasons” in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of New Guinea, the agency reported.

On the tarmac, while traveling to a campaign stop in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden told a story about his uncle, alleging his Air Force plane was “shot down” during a “reconnaissance flight over New Guinea” during World War II. . .

“Ambrose Finnegan — we called him Uncle Bosie — he was shot down. He was in the Army Air Corps before there was an Air Force, flew single-engine airplanes, reconnaissance flights over New Guinea,” Biden continued.

“[He] got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals at the time. Numerous House Democrats in the nation’s capital refused to condemn burning the American flag and chanting “death to America” when confronted by a reporter this week.

The questions from the reporter came in response to far-Left protesters on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City this week holding a pro-Palestinian demonstration that disrupted traffic.

“Anti-Israel protesters blocking the Brooklyn Bridge were burning the American flag and chanting ‘Death to America,’” the reporter said to Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA). “Do you support that type of protest? Congresswoman, do you support burning the American flag and chanting Death to America?”

Pressley refused to answer or even acknowledge the reporter.

The reporter later asked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) the same questions.

“Hush Money” Trial Judge May Force Trump to Miss His Son’s Graduation

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan is yet to decide whether former President Donald Trump can attend his son Barron Trump’s upcoming high school graduation. Merchan has refrained from ruling on Trump’s request to be excused from trial proceedings scheduled for that day.

The commencement of the criminal trial, orchestrated by Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, unfolded on Monday. Bragg has charged Trump with 34 felonies, alleging falsification of business records in connection to payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Notably, Trump is not facing accusations related to concealing a sex scandal. Trump vehemently denies all allegations against him, but if found guilty, he could potentially face incarceration.

While the jury selection process has commenced in the criminal trial, Trump’s legal team has proactively sought permission for him to forego trial proceedings on May 17, citing his son Barron’s impending high school graduation in Florida, the former president’s home state. Although Merchan has acknowledged the request, he has deferred making a definitive decision.

Merchan remarked, “It really depends on if we are on time and where we are in the trial,” indicating the possibility that Trump may have to forego attending his youngest son’s significant milestone due to the trial.

Observers have characterized the situation as another instance of perceived political targeting against Trump. Jason Miller, an advisor to Trump, lambasted the trial, labeling it a “disgusting” episode of political persecution. Trump himself, addressing reporters prior to entering the New York courtroom on Monday, decried the trial as a form of “political prosecution” and an unprecedented assault on the nation.

“This case was brought as political persecution,” Trump asserted, condemning it as an unwarranted attack on the country. He further criticized the involvement of what he described as an “incompetent man” in the proceedings, insinuating nefarious motives behind the trial.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) echoed similar sentiments, characterizing the trial as a form of “election interference.”

Speaker Johnson might as well go by “Flip Flop,” given his recent track record. He’s been switching his positions on major issues, directly going against what his base stands for. First, it was the funding for Ukraine; now, he’s in the thick of the FISA 702 battle and taking the wrong side yet again. What gives? Johnson’s speakership is becoming a series of flip-flops that’s leaving everyone wondering if he’s been bribed, blackmailed, or both.

So, why is Speaker Johnson flipping his position on the FISA 702 authorization, which allows warrantless surveillance? This very tool was used to spy on President Trump. Representative Bob Good recently discussed this on Steve Bannon’s WarRoom, pointing out that there’s a strong push influencing Johnson’s change of heart—and it appears to be working. . .

Speaker Johnson now believes that halting warrantless spying against innocent Americans would somehow spell disaster for the country. He recently shifted his stance, stating the change is from all the classified briefings he’s been getting.

Well, Speaker Johnson is probably telling the truth about all those briefings, and Edward Snowden thinks he’s figured out what’s really going on with Speaker Johnson. It’s a “textbook case” of “Congressional capture.”

Biden Warns Iran to Not Launch Attack on Israel (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden warned the Islamic Republic of Iran on Friday to not launch an attack against Israel because the U.S. was committed to the defense of Israel. . .

The president made the remarks at the National Action Network Convention in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building when asked how imminent the attack was.

“I don’t want to say,” Biden said. “I don’t want to get into secure information, but my expectation is sooner than later.”

When asked what his message to Iran was, he responded: “Don’t.”

“We are devoted to the defense of Israel. We will support Israel,” he added. “We will defend — help defend Israel. And Iran will not succeed. Thank you very much.”

Top U.S. General in Europe Issues Stark Warning About Russian Military (VIDEO)

General Christopher Cavoli, the head of U.S. European Command, warned this week that Russia’s military has grown stronger and has recovered faster from its war in Ukraine than the U.S. thought was possible.

Cavoli, who is also the supreme allied commander of Europe at the Western security alliance NATO, made the remarks Wednesday during a House Armed Services hearing on National Security Challenges in Europe.

“With the help of the United States, and invaluable help from other allies and partners, Ukraine has inflicted significant damage upon the Russian military,” he said in his opening remarks. “However, Russia relies on the mass and quantity available to a large country, and despite its military’s evident deficiencies and dysfunctions, continues to pose an existential threat to Ukraine.”

Cavoli said that Russia has increased its production of long range precision munitions and has started to buy “ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and long-range drones from third countries who were previously outside this fight.”

“In fact, it is mainly only in the land forces that Russia has suffered, losing over 2,000 tanks and 315,000 soldiers wounded or dead,” he said. “However, Russia is reconstituting that force far faster than our initial estimates suggested. The army is actually now larger – by 15 percent – than it was when it invaded Ukraine. Over the past year, Russia increased its front line troop strength from 360,000 to 470,000. Russia’s army increased the upper age limit for conscription from 27 to 30, which increases the pool of available military conscripts by 2 million for years to come.”

Speaker Mike Johnson Claims Classified Briefing Made Him Flip-Flop on Spy Powers Reform (VIDEO)

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Wednesday explained his apparent flip-flop on a controversial surveillance law, saying that he now favors limited reforms after receiving a classified briefing.

Speaker Johnson was asked by reporters why he changed his opinion on reforming Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a controversial surveillance law that is meant to target foreign adversaries, but often surveils Americans’ communications without a warrant.

Johnson this week came out against a warrant requirement for Section 702 and moved not to allow an amendment that would have barred intelligence and law enforcement agencies from purchasing Americans’ private information through third-party data brokers. This is considered a run around the Fourth Amendment protection against warrantless searches.

This amounts to a dramatic reversal, since Johnson supported legislation to close the data broker loophole in July 2023, and the Louisiana congressman supported the USA RIGHTS act, which FreedomWorks described as one of the “strongest possible reforms” of FISA.
