Schiff Accused Of Leaking Classified Info In ‘Treasonous’ Russiagate Plot, Memos Show

A career intelligence officer who previously assisted House Intelligence Committee (HPSCI) Democrats repeatedly told the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2017 that then-Democrat California Rep. Adam Schiff allegedly approved leaking classified information in an effort to “indict President Trump,” memos from the FBI show.

The memo, exclusively obtained by Just the News, details the accusations made by the whistleblower.

The intelligence officer alleged that Schiff, as ranking member and then-chairman of HPSCI, announced the leaking of information that was, “derogatory to President of the United States Donald J. TRUMP” in an all-staff meeting, according to the documents.

When the whistleblower expressed concerns regarding the legality of the proposed leaks, the officer was allegedly reassured by members at the meeting that “they would not be caught,” according to the memo.

The whistleblower was allegedly approached in another meeting about leaking classified information, and the official described the proposal as “unethical and treasonous” to the FBI, the documents state. Adam Schiff Extends Olive Branch, Trump Asks if He Was ‘Hit With a Baseball Bat’

Sen. Adam Schiff of California wanted to play nice with President Donald Trump on his trip to survey the wildfire devastation in California.

Mr. Trump, however, wasn’t ready to bury the hatchet with the man he dubbed “Shifty Schiff” and “pencil neck.”

“I was told that Schiff was going to travel with us to California. I wasn’t thrilled, to be honest with you,” Mr. Trump told reporters Friday. “And I saw him last night on television. It looks like he got hit with a baseball bat or something. What happened to him?”

Mr. Trump also said the fire in California “could have been put out” if elected officials “let the water flow.”

“So I think we are going to have a very interesting time,” he said of the trip. (Read more from “Adam Schiff Extends Olive Branch, Trump Asks if He Was ‘Hit With a Baseball Bat’” HERE)

Mike Pompeo Accuses Schiff of Leaking Classified Documents

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) of leaking classified information during his time as chairman on the House Intelligence Committee.

Pompeo did not provide any proof or explanation as to what was in the allegedly-leaked documents. However, he said during a Fox News interview that Schiff “almost ruined the committee” with his leadership.

“Adam Schiff lied to the American people, and during my time as CIA director and secretary of state, I know that he leaked classified information that had been provided to him,” he said.

The former secretary said “it’s a complicated process” when asked why he did not take action against Schiff, adding that it is “difficult to pin down precisely what happened.” (Read more from “Mike Pompeo Accuses Schiff of Leaking Classified Documents” HERE)

Democrats Propose Overturning the First Amendment

Adam Schiff and a group of Democrats have introduced a proposed constitutional amendment to overturn the Citizens United decision, one of the greatest free-speech victories in history.

It’s just a political stunt, of course, as Schiff doesn’t have the votes. But it does reflect the authoritarian outlook of the contemporary left on free expression. From the day the decision came down, 13 years ago this week, Citizens United was a rallying cry for those threatened by unregulated discourse. President Barack Obama infamously, and inaccurately, rebuked the justices during his State of the Union for upholding the First Amendment. Since then, Democrats have regularly blamed the decision for the alleged corrosion of “democracy.”

Recall, however, that Citizens United decision revolved around the federal government’s banning of a documentary critical of 2008 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton before the Democratic primary elections. At the time, McCain-Feingold made it illegal for corporations (groups of freely associating citizens) and unions (ditto) to engage in “electioneering” a month before a primary or two months before a general election. It was outright censorship. In oral arguments, then-Solicitor General of the United States, now-Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan initially contended that the federal government had the right to censor books that “express advocacy.”

Also recall that “campaign finance” laws — speech codes, in reality — were written by politicians and defended by a media encumbered by any limitations on their own free expression. These detestable laws prohibited groups of citizens from assembling and pooling their resources to engage more effectively in what is the most important kind of political expression at the most vital time, right before an election. Even Schiff Admits: Possible National Security Jeopardized With Biden Documents

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that Congress could not “exclude the possibility” that national security was jeopardized by the handling of President Biden’s classified documents. . .

Karl said, “Is it possible that national security was jeopardized here as many, including you, raised that possibility with the Mar-a-Lago documents?”

Schiff said, “I don’t think we can exclude the possibility without knowing more of the facts. We have asked for an assessment in the intelligence community of the Mar-a-Lago documents. I think we ought to get that same assessment to the documents found in the think tank as well as the home of President Biden. I’d like to know what these documents were.” (Read more from “Even Schiff Admits: Possible National Security Jeopardized With Biden Documents” HERE)

It Looks Like There’s More Fallout for Adam Schiff Following Last Week’s Twitter Files Reveal

Last Tuesday, not just one, but two, batches of the Twitter Files were released. In the second one, “Twitter and the FBI ‘Belly Button,'” which has to do with a COVID cover-up, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is referenced further down in the thread based on claims that he asked Twitter to suspend Paul Sperry, of RealClearInvestigations and the New York Post. Though the social media platform initially refused, it did ultimately suspend Sperry.

More has continued to come out in the days since, as Sperry, who is back on Twitter, has spoken out about what was revealed. . .

The Fox News article, by Kristine Parks, explains how Sperry spoke to Brian Kilmeade about Schiff and the first impeachment trial against then-President Donald Trump. When it comes to that lawsuit, Sperry says “we are exploring legal options, including defamation.”

“So, Schiff didn’t like the fact I outed his anonymous whistleblower as a partisan Democrat — he’s a holdover from the Obama White House working in the Trump White House. And [Schiff] also didn’t like the fact that I exposed the whistleblower’s prior relationship with the key member of Schiff’s impeachment staff,” Sperry had also said, describing himself as “kind of a thorn in Schiff’s side,” which made the congressman “angry.” (Read more from “It Looks Like There’s More Fallout for Adam Schiff Following Last Week’s Twitter Files Reveal” HERE)

Reps. Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, Ilhan Omar to Officially Be Kicked off Intelligence, Foreign Affairs Committees

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy confirmed Monday night that Democratic California Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell will be removed from the House Intelligence Committee and the House will vote on the removal of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee.

In February, McCarthy told the Daily Caller that if he is elected Speaker that he intends to strip Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee and Swalwell and Schiff from the Intelligence Committee. On Monday, McCarthy confirmed to The Associated Press (AP) that he would be moving forward with that decision, saying both Swalwell and Schiff should not have seats on the committee.

McCarthy has said Swalwell’s reported relationship with a Chinese spy and Schiff’s defense of the Steele dossier are some of the reasons they should be removed from the committee. McCarthy has said Omar’s anti-Semitism is a reason she should be removed from Foreign Affairs. (Read more from “Reps. If Dems Were Serious, Adam Schiff Wouldn’t Be on Jan. 6 Committee

The day Adam Schiff was named to the “Jan. 6” committee is the day we knew the investigation was going to be a frivolous partisan sideshow. As a political strategy, placing an inveterate fabulist like Schiff on the committee only ensured that it wouldn’t have credibility with Republicans—presumably the people Democrats want to convince.

With dwindling national interest in the proceedings, Schiff went on TV this weekend and announced that the Jan. 6 Committee was in possession of evidence that Donald Trump had hatched a “fake elector plot” (another scheme that had absolutely no chance of working. The more we see the evidence, the more it’s apparent that the system was working). When asked to clarify his contention, Schiff said he did not “want to get ahead of our hearing.” Priming your base for Trump’s arrest—again— is almost surely getting beyond the hearings. But then, Democrats have been overplaying the Trump hand since 2015. The Jan. 6 Committee has become a political version of “Lost,” always a cliffhanger and never a payoff.

What we do know is that Schiff says he has evidence he probably doesn’t. Let’s remember, Schiff was the one who read the Steele Dossier, among other fabrications, into the congressional record—even though he was aware that it was a partisan oppo file paid for by the DNC and shopped by Hillary Clinton partisans with her blessing. On numerous occasions, and with great certitude, Schiff told the media that the central assertion of the dossier was not only conceivable because of Trump’s words, but a fact. And not only did he famously claim to be in personal possession of a “smoking gun” that would prove collusion, he said he had an “abundance” of incriminating evidence.

As the fake Russiagate story fizzled out, Schiff refused to share proof of a seditious, clandestine plot against America. Not in his speeches. Not in Congress. Not on CNN. Not in his self-serving memoir. When then-“View” co-host Meghan McCain asked Schiff about it, the congressman said it had been in “plain sight” the entire time, which is opposite of what he asserted previously. Adam Schiff Reportedly Learned of Russian Bounty Allegations in February

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA)’s aides first learned in February of allegations that a Russian military intelligence unit offered bounties for American troops in Afghanistan, according to a report.

Top Intelligence Committee staff for Schiff were briefed during a congressional trip to Afghanistan on intelligence that Russia offered the Taliban bounties in Afghanistan, but Schiff took no action in response to the briefing, sources told The Federalist.

Schiff has so far refused to acknowledge that his staff was aware of the allegations. “I can’t comment on the specifics,” he said when asked by a reporter whether he indeed knew of the intelligence before the New York Times story. He has also acknowledged that Trump was never briefed on the intelligence. . .

The Federalist’s Sean Davis and Mollie Hemingway wrote:

Schiff’s recent complaints that Trump took no action against Russia in response to rumors of Russian bounties are curious given that Schiff himself took no action after his top staff were briefed by intelligence officials. As chairman of the intelligence committee, Schiff had the authority to immediately brief the full committee and convene hearings on the matter. Schiff, however, did nothing. He did not brief his committee on the matter, nor did he brief the gang of 8, which consists of top congressional leadership in both chambers.

Schiff Changed Russia Document Release Strategy Because He Was Forced

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), had only planned to release partial transcripts from the committee’s Russia investigation, not all of them, a source with knowledge of his efforts told Breitbart News.

But then, when acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell announced he was prepared to release all of the transcripts in full—something Grenell had planned to do on Friday morning if Schiff had not done so—Schiff changed his strategy and agreed to release them all in full.

An intelligence community source told Breitbart News that Schiff was caught attempting to weaponize the information through selective and partial releases, but Grenell’s actions forced his hand and made him release them all in full. In a letter first reported by the Washington Examiner’s Byron York earlier this week, Grenell informed Schiff that the documents were ready for release.

Grenell wrote to Schiff in the May 4 letter:

All of the transcripts, with our required redactions, can be released to the public without any concerns of disclosing classified material. I urge you to honor your previous public statements, and your committee’s unanimous vote on this matter, to release all 53 cleared transcripts to Members of Congress and the American public as soon as possible.
