Biden Admin to Spend $1B From Infrastructure Package to Upgrade 85 Airports

The Biden administration announced Thursday it will spend roughly $1 billion to upgrade 85 airports across the country, including terminals and other facilities.

The funds, which were part of last year’s massive $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure deal, will be used to expand capacity, increase energy efficiency and improve the passenger experience, through upgrades to baggage handling and ticket counters.

“Americans deserve modern airports that meet the needs of their families and growing passenger demand. Funded through President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, today’s grants will improve airport terminals while also creating good jobs in communities across the country,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said in a statement.

The announcement followed a chaotic Fourth of July holiday weekend as thousands of flights across the country were delayed or canceled. A combination of surging demand for travel, staff shortages, and high gas prices led to nightmares for thousands of travelers seeking to fly last weekend.

China More Dependent on US and Our Technology Than You Think

The Biden administration has been wrong to frame U.S.-China competition as a technological competition. This is because, in most areas, there is no technology competition between the two countries. There is only China’s reliance on the U.S.—a far more technologically advanced nation with far more technologically advanced allies and trading partners. And it’s in the U.S. interest to keep it that way and maintain—and even expand—America’s tech advantage.

The lack of technological superiority means China’s economic advancement is subject to other countries supplying it with critical chips and capital equipment. That’s why China has been making efforts to reduce its reliance on foreign suppliers and produce more technology domestically.

Apart from economic reasons, the ability to produce key technology of its own would allow China to further pursue its geopolitical ambitions without restraint, such as its self-declaration of sovereignty over Taiwan and the South China Sea.

In contrast, reducing reliance on foreign technology is not an issue for the U.S. Instead, given many countries’ reliance on U.S. technology, the priority for America is to improve its current technology to always keep other countries lagging behind.

China’s late start is the main reason for its inferior level of technology. The communist regime didn’t start actively promoting the industry’s development until the 1980s. Drawing lessons from the experiences of the East Asian Tigers—the four highly developed economies of Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan—China had stepped up its efforts by encouraging foreign direct investment in assembling products such as smartphones, laptops, computers, etc., in China. Biden’s HHS Unveils Website Directing Underage Women to Resources to Obtain an Abortion

Following the Supreme Court’s historic ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services launched a website to direct Americans to abortion and contraceptive services, including for minors.

The HHS’ website, ReproductiveRights.gov, gives visitors insight on surgical and medication abortions. Now that the issue of abortion was returned to the states, the laws pertaining to abortion vary depending on where a woman seeking an abortion lives.

“Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, access to abortion will depend on the state you live in even more than before,” the government website states. It then dives into the different types of abortion and how to obtain each kind.

“Medication abortion has been approved by the FDA since 2000 as a safe and effective option. Federal regulation permits medication abortion to be dispensed by telehealth and sent by mail via certified prescribers and pharmacies, in addition to in-person dispensing in clinics, medical offices, and hospitals,” the website states, and directs visitors to utilize the website AbortionFinder.org.

AbortionFinder.org helps women, including those 15 and younger, locate an abortion provider close to where they live. In addition, it helps women determine if they should obtain abortion pills via “telehealth,” meaning the patient does not meet with a doctor in-person to obtain or administer the pills. Biden Admin Moves to Drop Natural Family Planning From Insurance Coverage

In recent years, more women and couples have come to depend on Fertility Awareness Based Methods (FABM) for family planning—and for good reason. As more becomes known about the dangers of pharmaceutical contraceptive drugs and devices, FABMs provide the effective, empowering, side-effect-free alternative that couples have been searching for.

Unfortunately, the Biden administration is attempting to illegally rescind the Affordable Care Act’s mandated coverage for FABM instruction—so much for “choice,” right? . . .

FABM teaches women and couples to read the signs of their fertility so they can know when they are most likely to get pregnant over the course of the menstrual cycle, and plan intercourse according to their desire to avoid or achieve pregnancy. FABMs are not only more empowering than popping a pill or implanting an IUD (both of which suppress a woman’s natural fertility and come with a host of risks and side effects), but they are far more cost-effective in the long run, too.

However, while FABMs are more cost-effective than pharmaceutical birth control in the long run, learning a FABM can cost between $100 and $500 depending on the method and on how much personal support a woman or couple needs. As my organization Natural Womanhood learned when we launched our scholarship fund for fertility awareness instruction, quite a few women and couples may be challenged to fund this training when they most need it. Biden Official Lied Under Oath About Disinfo Board, Lawmakers Say

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has been accused of misleading top Republican senators about the purposes of the controversial Disinformation Governance Board.

Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley and Josh Hawley argue the board was designed with more power than the top Biden official admitted during testimony.

Mayorkas repeatedly downplayed the power and role of the group during congressional testimony, telling the Senate Homeland Security Committee last month it was “established with the explicit goal of ensuring that the protection of free speech, privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties is incorporated into all of the department’s disinformation work.” He contended that “we’re not the Truth Police” and said the board “does not have any operational authority or capability.”

The board was at least temporarily put on hold following the controversy surrounding Director Nina Jankowicz, who later resigned. She has a history of either labeling claims as disinformation that were later found to have credibility or giving credence to assertions that were later discredited. She immediately cast doubt on the Hunter Biden laptop story, touted British ex-spy Christopher Steele as a disinformation expert, downplayed Iranian election meddling aimed at hurting Trump in the 2020 election, critiqued the media’s promotion of the Wuhan lab leak hypothesis, pushed debunked claims of Trump-Russia collusion, and more. Biden’s Trans Policies Are Putting Men in Women’s Prisons and Kicking Christians Out of Law Enforcement

As Americans are threatened by rising crime, the Biden administration is focused on putting men in women’s prisons and pushing Christians and political dissenters from transgender ideology out of law enforcement.

President Biden has released his long-delayed executive order on law enforcement, and it does not include the bombshell proposal to put men in women’s prisons that I reported on back in January. Unfortunately, this cut is not because the Biden administration thought better of the idea, but because it already quietly rewrote the Bureau of Prisons manual to allow men in women’s prisons.

The change in federal prison policy was pushed out in January shortly after I wrote about the draft executive order. Almost no one noticed, myself included. There was limited media attention in pro-transgender outlets, and I missed it at first because I was looking for the executive order, not monitoring federal prison policy changes or LGBT propaganda. Mea culpa. I guess Biden was in such a hurry to put men into women’s prisons that he couldn’t wait until his executive order came out.

Meanwhile, the just-issued executive order is a cornucopia of bad ideas, including policies that are meant to drive Biden’s ideological enemies, especially conservative Christians, out of law enforcement. Thus, Biden has ordered the government to create and implement plans for hiring and retaining federal law enforcement officers that include “vetting mechanisms and ongoing employment screening, that … help avoid the hiring and retention of law enforcement officers who promote … bias against persons based on … sexual orientation and gender identity.” . . .

Of course, the ideologues running the Biden administration believe that any disagreement with the latest demands of the rainbow agenda by definition promotes bias against persons based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Thus, they are going to target conservative Christians and other dissenters from the reigning sexual and gender ideology. 500 Percent Spike in Biden Administration Shutting Down Gun Retailers Over Typos

President Joe Biden is overzealously targeting firearm retailers to drive them out of business. Federal firearm license revocations for retailers have increased 500 from previous years. That’s got gun control groups excited, but it is casting a pall over the cooperative relationship firearm retailers maintain with law enforcement.

President Biden never hid the fact that he intended to use the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to drive his gun control agenda. He campaigned on a platform of targeting the firearm industry instead of focusing on criminals.

“Our enemy is the gun manufacturers, not the NRA, the gun manufacturers,” President Biden said from the presidential campaign debate stage.

That hostility produced a platform that turned the ATF from the bureau that regulates the firearm industry and enforces federal gun laws into the hammer and anvil by which the Biden administration is pummeling flat firearm retailers. Instead of compliance inspections by ATF Industry Operations Investigators to work to ensure firearm retailers remain within federal firearm regulations, those inspections are now driving firearm retailers out of business. Biden Administration Cancels All Remaining Student Loan Debt for 560,000 Borrowers

The Biden administration is offering a new round of student loan debt relief for more than half a million borrowers who were students of Corinthian Colleges.

The action will see $5.8 billion in full loan discharges for 560,000 borrowers, marking the single largest loan discharge in the history of the Department of Education, and brings the total student debt relief extended by the administration to $25 billion.

Corinthian operated from 1995 to 2015. In 2013, then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris sued Corinthian before carrying out a full investigation, which found “comprehensive” wrongdoing carried out against students across the nation, including lying to prospective students about graduation and job placement rates. Biden Admin: K-12 Schools Must Put Boys in Girls’ Bathrooms to Get Federal Lunch Money

K-12 schools must allow boys into girls’ private areas to obtain federal funds for lunches, breakfasts, and snacks, the Biden administration announced this month. A U.S. Department of Education spokesman told The Federalist the Biden administration’s press releases from several agencies announcing this policy will be followed by formal rulemaking in June.

“It seems to be playing politics with feeding poor kids, which is really unfortunate,” John Elcesser, executive director of the Indiana Non-Public Education Association, said via phone amid weeks of attempting to sort out these new demands with government officials on behalf of private schools in his state. “Because if a school feels like they cannot participate because it’s in conflict with their mission or values, if a religious exemption is not granted, you’re taking away a program that’s feeding low-income kids.”

Before many schools shut down in response to Covid-19, the National School Lunch Program fed nearly 30 million kids every school day, in approximately 100,000 public and private schools and residential care facilities.

Under this new demand, establishments that accept any federal food funding, including food stamps, must also allow males who claim to be female to access female private spaces, such as showers, bathrooms, and sleeping areas. Such organizations must also follow protocols such as requiring staff to use inaccurate pronouns to describe transgender people and allowing male staff to dress as women while on the job.

Religious institutions, however, qualify for a waiver exempting them from these requirements, said Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Greg Baylor in an interview Monday. According to the 1972 Title IX law, he said, religious institutions don’t have to file any paperwork to be exempt, although they can if they wish. Mexico’s Shelves Are Stocked With Baby Formula Amid U.S. Shortage

As the Biden Administration is slow to respond to a severe shortage of baby formula in the United States, stores throughout Mexico are fully stocked especially with the high-demand Enfamil brand.

Breitbart Texas dispatched local reporters to document the availability of baby formula in various Mexican cities, including several along the U.S. border.

In the city of Piedras Negras, opposite Eagle Pass, Texas, the Soriana Supermarket is fully stocked for infant nutrition items. . .

In the border city of Matamoros, just south of Brownsville, Texas, a Walmart supermarket and also fully stocked. . .
