Biden Considering Sending Top Officials to Ukraine (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden and his aides are deliberating whether he should send a senior administration official or delegation to Ukraine as a show of support amid the Russian invasion.

“We’re making that decision now,” Biden told reporters at Joint Base Andrews Thursday before boarding Air Force One for North Carolina.

A reporter followed up, asking whether Biden himself was “ready to go.” “Yeah,” Biden replied.

Republicans: COVID ‘Over’ for Illegals at Border, Not Americans on Planes

Republicans blasted the Biden administration following reports that the nationwide mask mandate for public transit will be extended another two weeks.

One lawmaker called the move “hypocritical,” while others highlighted the ineffectiveness of the mandate as well as the recent announcement of the lifting of Title 42 – a public health provision that serves as an essential tool in combating the spread of COVID-19 and controlling the influx of migrants at our southern border.

Taking to Twitter, Republican officials expressed outrage over the reports:

Biden HHS Departments Endorse ‘Top Surgery’ and Hormone Treatments for Transgender Children

On Thursday, two of President Joe Biden’s administration departments released a seemingly coordinated series of documents that endorsed gender reassignment surgery and hormone treatments for children.

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Population Affairs released a two-page document titled, “Gender-Affirming Care and Young People.”

“Gender-affirming care is a supportive form of healthcare. It consists of an array of services that may include medical, surgical, mental health, and non-medical services for transgender and nonbinary people,” the document explained. “For transgender and nonbinary children and adolescents, early gender-affirming care is crucial to overall health and well-being as it allows the child or adolescent to focus on social transitions and can increase their confidence while navigating the healthcare system.”

The document then argued that “gender-affirming care improves the mental health and overall well-being of gender diverse children and adolescents.”

Forms of affirming care listed by the document include “puberty blockers” to “pause pubertal development” (which the department claims to be reversible), “hormone therapy” (which the department claims to be partially reversible), and forms of “gender-affirming surgeries.” These include “top surgery” to “create male-typical chest shape or enhance breasts,” “bottom surgery,” which is “surgery on genitals or reproductive organs,” as well as “facial feminization or other procedures.” (Read more from “Biden HHS Departments Endorse ‘Top Surgery’ and Hormone Treatments for Transgender Children” HERE)

Biden’s SCOTUS Nominee Sentenced Child Porn Offenders to Nearly 60% Less Time than National Average

President Biden’s Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson sentenced those in possession of child pornography to nearly 60 percent less time than the national average, according to documents from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) reviewed by Breitbart News.

Furthermore, cases of child porn distribution in which Jackson was the presiding judge were sentenced 47 percent less than the national average. Jackson also sentenced the production of child porn 35 percent less than the national average.

In fact, in every single child pornography case she heard, Jackson sentenced the defendant below the sentencing guidelines, according to documents reviewed by Breitbart News. Similarly, in every single child pornography case, Jackson sentenced the defendant at or below the recommendation from the prosecutor. In all but one child pornography case, Jackson sentenced the defendant below or at the probation office’s recommendation.

Jackson has also been verbally sympathetic to those she has sentenced in recent years.

“[You’re] obviously aware of my policy disagreement. I just think it’s very, very hard to deal with number of images as a significant aggravator…” she said in relation to the 2019 case, United States v. Cane. Democrats Try to Shield Ketanji Brown Jackson From Child Porn Questions

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson continued to dodge questions Wednesday from Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) about why she had given lighter sentences than those prosecutors had recommended in child pornography cases.

The questions about Judge Jackson’s sentencing record continued on the third day of her Supreme Court confirmation hearing. Democrats, who had tried to dismiss Hawley’s claims as factually incorrect, retreated to arguing that Judge Jackson had legitimate policy disagreements with the established federal sentencing guidelines, and blamed congressional inaction.

Republicans were not willing to let Judge Jackson off the hook. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) questioned Judge Jackson about why she seemed not to agree that prison was a deterrent against child pornography. Biden Admin Unveils Aggressive Climate Rules for Private Sector

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposed rules that would force companies to publicly disclose a wide-range of climate-related information.

The SEC, the nation’s top financial regulator, would require publicly-traded companies to disclose how “severe weather events and other natural conditions” may impact their business, under the proposed rules, according to the Monday announcement. Companies would also be forced to publish the greenhouse gas emissions produced from their operations.

“I am pleased to support today’s proposal because, if adopted, it would provide investors with consistent, comparable, and decision-useful information for making their investment decisions, and it would provide consistent and clear reporting obligations for issuers,” SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, who President Joe Biden appointed in February 2021, said in a statement.

“Today’s proposal would help issuers more efficiently and effectively disclose these risks and meet investor demand, as many issuers already seek to do,” he said. “Companies and investors alike would benefit from the clear rules of the road proposed in this release.” (Read more from “Biden Admin Unveils Aggressive Climate Rules for Private Sector” HERE)

The U.S. Is Mindlessly Marching Toward War With Russia

The day after Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky addressed Congress, the American press was understandably filled with paeans to his courage and leadership, his clarity of purpose and firm resolve in the face of mortal danger. As Bari Weiss noted in a thoughtful response to the speech, Zelensky knows what he’s fighting for, and he stands as an inspiring counterexample of things we hope for in our own political leaders, but do not have.

But there is something else behind this celebration of Zelensky. His speech, after all, was a rather straightforward request for the United States and our North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies to intervene on behalf of Ukraine. “In the darkest time for our country, for the whole of Europe, I call on you to do more,” he said, invoking Pearl Harbor, 9/11, and Martin Luther King, Jr. . .

Instead, we’re seeing just the opposite: the emergence of a bipartisan, establishment consensus in Washington that the United States and NATO must ratchet up military aid to Ukraine, right now, without even trying to articulate an overarching strategy, what the off-ramps might be, or what an end-state to the conflict might look like. . .

Democratic House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., went a bit further on Thursday. During a rules committee hearing he blurted out, “We’re at war,” while talking about the need for a unified U.S. response to the conflict. Then, perhaps realizing his slip, quickly clarified that we’re not physically on the battlefield with the Ukrainians, “But we ought to do everything we possibly can to make sure they can meet this enemy and defeat this enemy.”

These lawmakers take the view that we can dance along a line of belligerence without actually becoming belligerents in the war, as if we alone get to decide where that line is and when we have or have not crossed it. They, along with their cheerleaders in the corporate press, offer no substantive arguments about why we won’t get drawn into the war. They simply declare that we have to do more, that we can’t be afraid of Moscow, without even attempting to persuade a skeptical American public that the risk inherent to doing more — getting into a shooting war with Russia — is worth it. They don’t even acknowledge the risk. (Read more from “The U.S. Is Mindlessly Marching Toward War With Russia” HERE)

US Denies Claims of Bioweapon Labs in Ukraine

The Biden administration is forcefully pushing back on Russian claims that the United States is running bioweapons labs in Ukraine, with the Pentagon calling it “Russian propaganda” and “a bunch of malarkey.”

The Russian government and media outlets have ramped up claims in recent days that the U.S. was operating bioweapon research facilities in Ukraine, with Chinese diplomats and propaganda outlets also amplifying the claims. The allegations from Russia have stretched back years. The U.S. has consistently denied the claims, and Russia has never provided any proof.

“The Russian accusations are absurd, they are laughable, and, you know, in the words of my Irish Catholic grandfather, a bunch of malarkey. There’s nothing to it. It’s classic Russian propaganda,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said Wednesday. “We are not developing biological or chemical weapons inside Ukraine. It’s not happening.”

At a Senate Foreign Relations Commission on Tuesday, Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida asked Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland if Ukraine has chemical or biological weapons.

“Ukraine has biological research facilities, which, in fact, we are now quite concerned Russian troops and Russian forces may be seeking to gain control of,” Nuland replied. “So we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach.” (Read more from “US Denies Claims of Bioweapon Labs in Ukraine” HERE)

Rubio Slams Biden Admin’s ‘Secret’ Oil Meeting With Putin’s BFF

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Monday slammed the Biden administration’s secret oil meeting with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro as a “huge PR boost” for the socialist regime.

“Biden Admin secret meeting with #Maduro was a huge PR boost for #MaduroRegime,” Rubio tweeted after Biden reportedly sought an oil deal with the socialist nation.

“And a demoralizing betrayal of those who have risked everything to oppose Maduro & weren’t even told this was happening,” Rubio continued. “And for what?”

“The amount of oil #Venezuela can produce right now is insignificant,” Rubio said about the estimated 300,000 barrels a day the country’s state oil company produced in 2020.

Biden’s meeting with Maduro is likely a response to American dependence on Russian oil exports, which have been nixed by oil traders, impacting oil prices. Biden has refrained from sanctioning many relevant Russian energy companies in response to the Ukraine invasion:

From Bad to Worse: Biden Admin Claims Inflation Going to Make an Even Bigger Dent in Your Wallet

Vice President Kamala Harris warned that Americans could feel some “costs” of a Russian invasion of Ukraine, unwelcome news to many who are already bearing the costs of soaring inflation.

“When America stands for principles, and all of the things that we hold dear, it requires sometimes for us to put ourselves out there in a way that maybe we will incur some cost,” Harris said Sunday after a meeting with NATO leaders in Germany.

Harris said some of the costs to hit American pocket books “may relate to energy cost,” with Russia being one of the world’s leading producers of oil.

The vice president’s comments come as Americans have already seen prices on common good rise thanks to a four-decade high in inflation, according to the consumer price index. Those price increases have been spread across almost all common goods, including medical care, clothing, transportation, food, and shelter.
