Documents reveal that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau inquired about the use of martial law in February during the Freedom Convoy protests.

Two of Canada’s federal ministers talked about using tanks against the peaceful protests who were advocating for their right to not be mandated to get a vaccine.

On April 25, The Public Order Emergency Commission looked into whether the use of wartime vehicles to stop the trucker protests was justified or not.

Canada Is Facing the Worst Military Recruitment Crisis Ever

It’s not an issue hitting the United States, but it does hit close to home since it impacts Canada, our neighbor to the north. The 2022 midterm elections have dominated the fall season, so I can see why this crisis fell by the wayside, but Canada has a severe military recruitment emergency. Some 10,000 positions are vacant, leaving the nation degraded regarding its capability to protect the country. In October, the CBC described the current military situation in Canada as “unprecedented” (via CBC):

The commander of the Canadian Armed Forces is calling on the country to rally behind its military as it faces an unprecedented personnel crisis that he says is threatening its ability to protect and defend Canada.

. . .

“So we need a whole-of-society effort to help us bring the Armed Forces back to where it needs to be for the dangerous world ahead.”

The extraordinary appeal comes as Eyre and his subordinates are struggling to fill about 10,000 empty positions at a time when Canada’s military is facing a growing number of threats and requests for help at home and abroad.

Canada Reportedly Set to Lift Vaccine Requirements for Travelers at Border

Canada will reportedly lift its vaccine mandate for travelers entering the country at the border starting in October.

The Associated Press reported Wednesday that “an official familiar with the matter” said this week that Canada will drop the vaccine requirement for foriegn nationals. Currently, unvaccinated travelers who are allowed to enter the country undergo mandatory arrival tests and a 14-day quarantine.

The official who spoke on the condition of anonymity reportedly said that Prime Minister Justine Trudeau needs to give “final sign off” on the new policy. In addition, the government will likely drop random COVID-19 testing at airports.

AP noted that unvaccinated professional athletes have not been allowed to cross the border into Canada since the mandate took effect. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he is willing to help ensure women in the United States who want an abortion can get one.

“We will make sure we continue to fight for better health and reproductive rights all around the world. It used to mean being there to fight for health and reproductive rights in the global south. We’ll help out in the United States if we need to as well,” Trudeau told reporters at the United Nations on Wednesday.

“As we see in the United States attempts to roll back rights that women have fought for for generations, the idea that there are young girls growing up in the United States who will have less rights over their own bodies than their mothers did is exactly what Canadians, Americans, and people all around the world are so concerned about,” he added.

Trudeau previously called the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade “horrific.”

Police Hunt for Attackers Who Stabbed, Killed at Least 10 in Canada

A series of stabbings at a First Nation community and at another town nearby in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan left 10 people dead and 15 wounded, Canadian police said Sunday as they searched for two suspects.

The stabbings took place in multiple locations on the James Smith Cree Nation and in the village of Weldon, northeast of Saskatoon, police said.

Rhonda Blackmore, the Assistant Commissioner of the RCMP Saskatchewan, said some of the victims appear to have been targeted by the suspects but others appear to have been attacked at random. She couldn’t provide a motive.

Canada Joins The Netherlands In Declaring Climate-Crazed War On Farmers

In his latest bid to amass greater control of Canadian society, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to move forward with his government’s plan to reduce nitrogen emissions by limiting fertilizer use among Canadian farmers.

The revelation came following a Friday meeting between Trudeau and Canadian provincial ministers, where the prime minister unexpectedly announced his decision to cap fertilizer emissions by unilaterally targeting the country’s agricultural sector.

“Fertilizer emissions reduction was not even a topic on the agenda of the annual meeting of Federal-Provincial-Territorial ministers of agriculture,” a joint Alberta-Saskatchewan government press release reads. “Provinces pushed the federal government to discuss this important topic, but were disappointed to learn that the target is already set. The commitment to future consultations are only to determine how to meet the target that Prime Minister Trudeau and Minister Bibeau have already unilaterally imposed on this industry, not to consult on what is achievable or attainable.”

As referenced in the press release, the targets set by the federal government include a bid “to reduce absolute levels of [greenhouse gas] emissions arising from fertilizer application by 30% below 2020 levels by 2030,” which the Trudeau administration previously announced in December 2020. While Trudeau has not publicly released specific mandates, the provincial governments of Alberta and Saskatchewan are blasting the prime minister for advancing the policy.

Mounting Evidence Canada Trained Ukrainian Extremists, Gov’t Needs to Be Held to Accountable: Experts

With mounting evidence pointing to the Canadian Armed Forces having trained members of Ukraine’s military who are also reported to be part of extremist groups, experts say Ottawa needs to strongly bolster its investigation and vetting of the soldiers it trains and arms in the embattled country.

The Department of National Defence promised a thorough review of Canada’s mission in Ukraine after CTVNews.ca approached them for comment in October 2021, regarding a report from George Washington University that found extremists in the Ukrainian military were bragging about being trained by Canadians as part of Operation UNIFIER.

The group in question – which calls itself Military Order Centuria, or simply Centuria, has links to the far-right Azov movement.

The Canadian military said they were alarmed by the report and denied any knowledge that extremists had taken part in training, adding that it does not have the mandate to screen the soldiers they train from other countries.

In the month that followed, an investigation by the Ottawa Citizen found that not only did Canadian officials meet and get briefed by leaders from the Azov Battalion in 2018, they did not denounce the unit’s neo-Nazi beliefs – despite being warned about their views by their colleagues– and their main concern was that media would expose that the meeting had taken place. Officers and diplomats allowed themselves to be photographed with battalion officials which was then used online by Azov as propaganda. University Will Only Give Tenure Position to ‘Women, Transgender, Non-Binary, or Two-Spirit’ People

A tenure track position at a Canadian university is only available to individuals who self-identify as “women, transgender, non-binary, or two-spirit” people, according to a job bulletin.

The University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Environment is looking “to fill a Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Tier 2 Canada Research Chair and tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor” to “address the underrepresentation of individuals from equity deserving groups among our Canada Research Chairs,” according to the advertisement.

“Because this is a special opportunity for a specific member of the four designated groups, applicant self-identification information will be used for the purposes of screening and consideration,” it said. . .

Retired Canadian Lieutenant-General Under Police Investigation for Alleged Sexual Misconduct Is Now in Ukraine

A retired Canadian Forces lieutenant-general under investigation for alleged sexual misconduct is now in Ukraine.

Trevor Cadieu left the Canadian military on April 5, according to the Department of National Defence. He travelled to Ukraine shortly after with the intention to volunteer for that country’s military which is battling a Russian invasion, multiple defence sources confirmed to this newspaper.

The Canadian Forces National Investigation Service which is investigating Cadieu originally had difficulty contacting the retired lieutenant-general but has since established communication with him.

Senior Canadian military leaders were briefed about Cadieu’s decision to travel to Ukraine, according to sources. . .

Ontario Freedom Convoy Donors Published on Google Maps

Locations of the Freedom Convoy donors in Ontario, Canada, have been published on Google Maps after the names of those who gave money to the crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo were leaked online.

The Google Maps link contains thousands of pins pointing to locations of donors throughout the Canadian province, with each pin listing their names, donor ID, email address, and the amount they donated, including those as low as $10.
