Another Update on the 2020 Georgia Election Probe…and It’s Not Good

It’s a fishing expedition. We all know this, but the Democrats’ larger aim is to gin up the GOP base to the point where they carry Donald Trump over the finish line in the Republican primary while saddling him with endless legal drama. The GOP is then rendered invalid in carrying out a meaningful campaign, as every story about Donald Trump will be about his potential trials. He’s already facing one from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over the hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. That case is even more absurd than the Russian collusion hoax, with misdemeanor charges elevated as felonies. And the statute of limitations has expired, but the workaround Bragg took was to invoke the COVID pandemic: the clock on filing charges was suspended due to this health emergency.

Trump’s lawyers want to meet with Attorney General Merrick Garland over the classified document controversy, another legal case where Trump could face indictment. It doesn’t help that there are audio recordings of the former president talking about the items he took from the White House, primarily mementos. And now, the Georgia election interference investigation, whose findings we were told would be revealed in late summer. It’s now expanding into other states. Georgia’s RICO statutes are some of the most expansive in the country. Fulton County DA Fani Willis is looking into invoking those legal measures while investigating the former president, specifically two firms the Trump team contracted with to sniff out reported voter fraud. An inquiry they allegedly buried when they found nothing (via WaPo):

An Atlanta-area investigation of alleged election interference by former president Donald Trump and his allies has broadened to include activities in Washington, D.C., and several other states, according to two people with knowledge of the probe — a fresh sign that prosecutors may be building a sprawling case under Georgia’s racketeering laws.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis (D) launched an investigation more than two years ago to examine efforts by Trump and his allies to overturn his narrow 2020 defeat in Georgia. Along the way, she has signaled publicly that she may use Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statute to allege that these efforts amounted to a far-reaching criminal scheme.

In recent days, Willis has sought information related to the Trump campaign hiring two firms to find voter fraud across the United States and then burying their findings when they did not find it, allegations that reach beyond Georgia’s borders, said the two individuals, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to speak candidly about the investigation. At least one of the firms has been subpoenaed by Fulton County investigators.

Trump on Biden Cognitive Concerns: I Don’t Think You Should Joke About It (VIDEO)

Former President Donald Trump said Thursday on a Fox News town hall that he told host Sean Hannity to stop joking about President Joe Biden’s cognitive capacity.

Hannity said, “I have asked you repeatedly about what you think about Joe Biden’s cognitive state. I’ve asked you about – is he up to the job physically, mentally? You have been very reluctant to go there. I’m not reluctant. To me, would everyone agree with me this guy’s cognitively not there? I doubt he knows what day of the week it is today. That’s how bad I think it’s gotten for him. Why are you reluctant to call that out?

Trump said, “Well I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this. I actually called Sean and I asked Sean not to joke about it because he used to joke about it.” . . .

He continued, “I said I just don’t think it’s good for anybody and, you know, it’s not appropriate. You can speak about it if you want, but I don’t think you should joke about it. And you really didn’t after that.” (Read more from “Trump on Biden Cognitive Concerns: I Don’t Think You Should Joke About It (VIDEO)” HERE)

Trump Attacks Democratic ‘Persecutors’ as Attorney Resigns Over Leaks

Former President Donald Trump slammed Democratic “persecutors” in a post on Truth Social on Wednesday, comparing the prosecutors to Massachusetts attorney Rachael Rollins, who resigned after allegedly leaking sensitive information earlier this month.

Rollins allegedly leaked sensitive information from the Justice Department to a reporter in an attempt to influence a local election for a friend, according to two federal reports released on May 17. Rollins also allegedly lied to investigators and attended a fundraiser with first lady Jill Biden.

“Massachusetts’ top federal prosecutor leaked sensitive information from the Justice Department in an effort to help a friend win an election, and hurt the opponent. The prosecutor just resigned. Big ramifications,” Trump posted.

“But wait, all of the Democrat ‘Persecutors’ that are trying to Interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election are leaking constantly, and illegally, about me. Will they be resigning, and will there be an investigation into their leaking? There should be!” he added. Survey: Donald Trump Trounces Ron DeSantis on Major Issues

More Republicans express confidence in former President Donald Trump to handle several major issues in the country — from energy to China relations — than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the latest Morning Consult data found.

The latest Morning Consult survey found Trump leading DeSantis by 34 points in the Republican primary race. A majority, 56 percent, support him, compared to 22 percent who support DeSantis. No other individual listed garners over five percent support.

Morning Consult found Trump with another advantage as well: Republicans tend to trust him more on a wide range of issues. For example, 71 percent of Republicans said they trust Trump to handle the economy, compared to 19 percent who said the same of DeSantis. Nearly three-quarters, 72 percent, trust Trump to handle relations with China, while 18 percent said the same of DeSantis.

Similarly, 71 percent trust Trump on national security and 69 percent trust him on foreign policy, compared to 19 percent who said the same for DeSantis on national security and 20 percent who trust him on foreign policy. Former Deputy National Security Adviser: FBI, CIA & DOJ Will Rig 2024 Election

Former Deputy National Security Adviser K.T. McFarland, who served for the first four months of the Trump administration under Michael Flynn, says that the deep state is going to rig the 2024 US election following their success in 2020. . .

“Go back to 2020. This time, the CIA got involved in the election with those 51 former intel agents who said the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. So they’ve gotten away with it for two elections. They will surely try and get away with it in 2024, right?

Because there are no consequences…

“There is now hard evidence that there was election interference by the U.S. intelligence agencies and the Department of Justice. Those individuals must be terrified that a Republican president comes in with a Republican Attorney General, investigates them, and charges them with all of the crimes they have committed over the last eight years. Take it to the bank.

Trump Thanks Those Who Gave ‘Ultimate Sacrifice’ in Memorial Day Message

Former President Donald Trump posted a Memorial Day message on Monday, thanking those who gave the “ultimate sacrifice” for the country they love while warning that the fight continues as the country remains in great peril.

“HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL, BUT ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO GAVE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR THE COUNTRY THEY LOVE,” Trump began in the all-caps message on Truth Social.

He also thanked those in line of what he described as:

VERY DIFFERENT, BUT EQUALLY DANGEROUS FIRE, STOPPING THE THREATS OF THE TERRORISTS, MISFITS AND LUNATIC THUGS WHO ARE WORKING FEVERISHLY FROM WITHIN TO OVERTURN AND DESTROY OUR ONCE GREAT COUNTRY.

Trump continued, asserting the country has “NEVER BEEN IN GREATER PERIL THAN IT IS RIGHT NOW.”

Poll: Most Republicans Say Trump Has Better Chance Than DeSantis to Win 2024 General Election

Most Republicans believe former President Donald Trump has a better chance of winning the 2024 general election than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), a recent survey from The Economist/YouGov found.

The survey, taken May 20-23, 2023, prior to DeSantis formally announcing his 2024 presidential bid, asked respondents, “Which of these two Republicans do you think has the best chance of winning the 2024 general election for president?” The choices were either Trump or DeSantis.

Overall, a plurality, 40 percent, said Trump has the best chance of the two to win the general election in 2024.

Twenty-eight percent said the same for DeSantis, and nearly one-third, 32 percent, said they remain unsure. (Read more from “Poll: Most Republicans Say Trump Has Better Chance Than DeSantis to Win 2024 General Election” HERE)

DeSantis Rips ‘Bizarre’ Trump Claim That Cuomo Handled COVID Better as Gov

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis fired back at former President Donald Trump Friday after he argued that disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo handled the COVID-19 pandemic better than the Sunshine State did.

DeSantis, who launched his 2024 presidential campaign earlier this week, called the 76-year-old Trump’s claim in a video posted to Truth Social – “very bizarre.”

Trump had accused DeSantis of being “average” compared to other GOP governors before suggesting Cuomo did a better job than DeSantis on COVID-19 policy.

“How about the fact that he had the third most deaths of any state having to do with the China virus or COVID? Even Cuomo did better, he was number four,” Trump claimed.

DeSantis rebuked his rival’s comments during an appearance on the “Ben Shapiro Show.” (Read more from “DeSantis Rips ‘Bizarre’ Trump Claim That Cuomo Handled COVID Better as Gov” HERE)

Poll: Trump Holds 30-Point Lead Over DeSantis in Nevada

Former President Donald Trump holds a 30-point lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in Nevada as the Republican primary field continues to grow.

The poll, which Vote TXT conducted and Nevada Newsmakers sponsored, found that Trump holds 51 percent of support among Republican primary voters, while 21 percent back DeSantis. No other candidate or potential candidate eclipses double digits, with former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) at five percent, followed by entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy with three percent and former Vice President Mike Pence, who has two percent of support. Another 11 percent are undecided.

Vote TXT pollster Bryan Bedera told Newsmakers that Trump has considerable advantages in name recognition and “campaign infrastructure” versus the rest of the field.

“He has been talking to his voters consistently for nearly eight years, and that puts him so far ahead of anyone else in the race,” he added. “They may not be able to catch him, especially if it appears Trump is impervious to negative attacks on his character.”

The survey comes as the Republican primary field continues to expand, with DeSantis announcing he was entering the fray on Wednesday night and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) launching his campaign on Monday. Former Gov Chris Christie (R-NJ) is reportedly expected to enter the race, while Gov. Doug Bergum is weighing a “likely” bid, as NBC News noted. Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) is also reportedly “reconsidering” a White House run.

Poll: 63% Believe Trump-Russia Smear Was ‘Hit Job,’ Majority Want Involved FBI Officials Prosecuted

Two-thirds of voters believe former President Donald Trump was the target of a political “hit job” over allegations that his campaign colluded with Russia, and a majority want the FBI officials involved “criminally prosecuted,” according to a Rasmussen poll released after Special Counsel John Durham released his report on the origins of Russiagate.

Last week, Durham released his long-awaited report, which found the FBI should never have launched an investigation into Trump’s campaign over its alleged ties with Russia.

“Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report,” the 300-page report concluded.

Duram’s report also revealed that top leaders at the FBI shut down four criminal investigations into Hillary and Bill Clinton, among other findings.

Sixty-three percent of voters told Rasmussen they believe the Trump-Russia narrative was a political “hit job,” orchestrated by Hillary Clinton’s campaign. (Read more from “Poll: 63% Believe Trump-Russia Smear Was ‘Hit Job,’ Majority Want Involved FBI Officials Prosecuted” HERE)
