Stranded Astronaut Confirms Biden Shot Down Musk’s Offer to Bring Pair Home: ‘Absolutely Factual’

One of the NASA astronauts trapped on the International Space Station said he believes Elon Musk’s claim that the Biden administration rejected the SpaceX CEO’s offer to help bring the team home.

Barry “Butch” Wilmore made the comment Tuesday during an in-orbit press conference with fellow castaway Sunita Williams nine months after their Boeing Starliner capsule malfunctioned and left the pair stuck on the ISS.

One questioner asked about Musk’s recent claim that former President Joe Biden had intentionally stalled their rescue for “political reasons.”

In an earlier question, Wilmore denied that politics had anything to do with the team’s delayed departure, but he seemed to shift his stance when answering the later question.

“I can only say that Mr. Musk, what he says, is absolutely factual … I believe him,” he said. (Read more from “Stranded Astronaut Confirms Biden Shot Down Musk’s Offer to Bring Pair Home: ‘Absolutely Factual’” HERE)

Kamala Aide Under DOJ Investigation For Allegedly Falsifying Paperwork To Get Musk Buyout

A former top aide to Kamala Harris is now under criminal investigation, accused of forging paperwork to try to take advantage of Elon Musk’s “Fork in the Road” buyout offer, The Daily Wire has learned.

The probe is likely to explore whether high-level officials — potentially including Harris herself and Lina Khan, Joe Biden’s chair of the Federal Trade Commission — conspired to embed Nathaniel Segal into a job at the FTC just before Trump’s inauguration. The placement involved a series of maneuvers that appear to have been designed to evade personnel and ethics regulations, hide that Segal was a political appointee, and prevent the Trump administration from firing him.

Segal, who worked as a Deputy Domestic Policy Advisor to Harris when she was Vice President, was installed as Deputy Chief Technology Officer at the FTC on January 18, two days before Trump’s inauguration. He was placed on the payroll on direct orders of Khan despite the fact that he was missing essential paperwork about his career history, three Trump administration officials told The Daily Wire.

But as the scheme began to unravel in mid-February, Segal tried to pull the rip-cord by doctoring a document to try to secure the Deferred Resignation Program buyout, despite its deadline having passed and Segal not having received the offer in the first place, the officials said. The buyout program gives eligible employees benefits worth as much as $200,000 in exchange for leaving the government.

A Department of Justice official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the department received a criminal referral from the FTC outlining Segal’s alleged scheme. The official confirmed the department was taking a “broad” look at it. Segal did not return a request for comment.

Numerous apparent sleights of hand resulted in Segal being hired and classified as a tenured, non-political civil servant, which had the effect of making it harder for the Trump administration to fire him. The DOGE Dividend Could Become Law: ‘The Proposed Bill Will Be Coming in the Next Few Days’

The proposal for a “DOGE dividend,” which would distribute 20% of government savings to taxpayers, has gained support from President Trump and Elon Musk — and now it could potentially be enshrined in law, The Post has learned.

The 28-year-old hedge fund manager behind the idea, James Fishback, told The Post he met with Elon Musk last week and began meeting with lawmakers about his idea earlier this week.

“The president supports this and Elon likes the idea of incentivizing people to report waste, fraud, and abuse,” Fishback told me. “The proposed bill will be coming in the next few days.”

He added, “This approach will save taxpayers even more money — it would compound the returns that doge is finding.”

Under Fishback’s proposal, households that are net taxpayers — those who pay into the government more than they receive in benefits — would receive 20% of all DOGE’s saving. (Read more from “The DOGE Dividend Could Become Law: ‘The Proposed Bill Will Be Coming in the Next Few Days’” HERE)

DOGE’s Work Is Meaningless Unless Republicans Get Serious About Cutting Spending

The Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has made commendable progress in identifying areas of waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government. But failure by congressional Republicans to codify cuts to these items and other wasteful spending into law threatens to jeopardize the watchdog group’s success.

Amid the backdrop of DOGE’s fraud-finding expedition are ongoing negotiations among House and Senate Republicans to pass a budget reconciliation package that includes President Trump’s legislative priorities, such as tax cuts and resources for border enforcement. As defined by Ballotpedia’s Briana Ryan, “Budget reconciliation is a term for the legislative process that bypasses the [60-vote] filibuster to approve a package of legislation in Congress that changes spending, revenues, or the debt limit.”

While many Republicans have been quick to glom onto DOGE and profess support for its work, few seem to be interested in actually stopping the wasteful spending that’s plagued the federal government for years. Case in point: the Senate GOP’s latest “vote-a-rama.”

In the early hours of Friday morning, the upper chamber held votes on various amendments to Senate Republicans’ $340 billion reconciliation bill. According to Breitbart News, the package — which included provisions aimed at “secur[ing] the southern border, unleash[ing] domestic energy production, [and] other priorities” — is one half of the Senate GOP’s “two-bill strategy” for reconciliation. . .

Among the amendments proposed for the Senate’s reconciliation package was a measure introduced by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., that sought to cut federal spending by $1.5 trillion. The Kentucky Republican noted that “Americans will pay dearly for Congress’s inability to say no to the welfare and warfare state,” and that continued reckless spending practices “will mean confiscatory tax rates, high inflation, rising interest rates, and a weak economy.” (Read more from “DOGE’s Work Is Meaningless Unless Republicans Get Serious About Cutting Spending” HERE)

Frustration at Elon Musk Spills Over After Closed-Door House GOP Meeting: ‘Fed to the Wolves’

Some House Republicans are increasingly frustrated with Elon Musk’s handling of his role in the federal government – frustrations that flared during a closed-door meeting on Tuesday.

Rep. Austin Scott, R-Ga., raised concerns about Republican lawmakers not being on the “same page” as the White House and Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), three people in the room told Fox News Digital.

He is not the only GOP lawmaker who feels that way, either.

“He wants to see better communication between DOGE, the president, and the House, because we’re getting fed to the wolves, while Elon’s just tweeting,” one GOP lawmaker told Fox News Digital.

A second GOP lawmaker said, “I’m going to echo Austin’s comments about, you know, it would be nice to have some heads up. There’s a lot of questions.” (Read more from “Frustration at Elon Musk Spills Over After Closed-Door House GOP Meeting: ‘Fed to the Wolves’” HERE)

Musk Gives Federal Workers ‘Another Chance’ To Justify Employment Or Be Fired

Elon Musk said Monday that federal employees would be given “another chance” to reply to an email from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) asking them what they accomplished over the past week or face termination.

Musk had initially set a deadline at 11:59 pm Monday to respond or be terminated, but he did not provide a deadline for those given “another chance” to provide the requested information.

“Subject to the discretion of the President, they will be given another chance,” Musk posted on X on Monday evening. “Failure to respond a second time will result in termination.”

Despite Democrats’ DOGE Meltdown, Turns Out Americans Want to Cut Government

More than 6 in 10 voters believe President Donald Trump and Elon Musk‘s Department of Government Efficiency will significantly reduce federal government spending over the next year.

The new polling from the Napolitan News Service, conducted by Scott Rasmussen at RMG Research, adds fresh evidence of DOGE‘s popularity despite unrelenting attacks from Democrats and the legacy media.

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted Feb. 20-21, and found 62% are confident that DOGE will find savings in the federal government. Even among Democrats, 45% say Trump and DOGE are likely to significantly reduce spending, while 42% say it’s unlikely.

Just 39% of voters say Musk has gone too far with DOGE’s cuts, compared to 47% who disagree.

Trump on Saturday encouraged Musk to “get more aggressive” in a Truth Social post. “Remember,” the president added, “we have a country to save, but ultimately, to make greater than ever before.” (Read more from “Despite Democrats’ DOGE Meltdown, Turns Out Americans Want to Cut Government” HERE)

Trump’s Leaders at Federal Agencies Rebuff Musk Demand That Workers Justify Their Week or Be Fired

The directive that all federal employees share what work they accomplished last week or be fired is running into resistance, including from President Trump’s choices to lead federal departments.

Leaders at the Pentagon, the State Department, the Office of National Intelligence and the FBI told their workers Sunday to ignore the edict that originated with Elon Musk, Mr. Trump’s efficiency czar, and a federal workers union immediately vowed to sue.

Leading the refusal was FBI Director Kash Patel, who directed bureau staff to ignore a request.

“FBI personnel may have received an email from OPM requesting information,” Mr. Patel, who has orders from Mr. Trump to clean house, said in a message to employees. “The FBI, through the Office of the Director, is in charge of all of our review processes, and will conduct reviews in accordance with FBI procedures. When and if further information is required, we will coordinate the responses. For now, please pause any response.”

Mr. Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency, issued the justify-your-job ultimatum Saturday, soon after the president encouraged him to be more “aggressive” in his cost-cutting efforts. Grimes Publicly Pleads With Elon Musk to Respond to Their Child’s ‘Medical Crisis’

In a series of deleted posts on X, pop singer Grimes accused Elon Musk of ignoring her messages regarding a serious medical situation involving one of their children.

The New York Post reports that in a shocking public plea, singer Grimes took to her ex-partner Elon Musk’s own social media platform X with a plea for him to respond to her texts, calls, and emails about a “medical crisis” that one of their three children is currently facing. Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, claimed in multiple posts that Musk has been ignoring all of her communication attempts, forcing her to resort to a public outcry.

“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis,” Grimes wrote in her since-deleted posts. “I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.” She emphasized the urgency of the matter, stating, “If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this.”

Grimes did not specify which of her and Musk’s children was in distress. When a commenter suggested that going public might not help the situation, she underscored the severity of the issue, saying their child could “suffer life long impairment” if Musk does not respond promptly. “I’m not giving any details but he won’t respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to f–king respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we are at,” she explained. Trump Endorses Sending DOGE Rebate Checks to Taxpayers

President Trump on Wednesday endorsed sending Americans rebate checks based on a percentage of the savings achieved by the federal government through the Department of Government Efficiency’s cost-cutting measures.

“There’s even under consideration a new concept where we give 20% of the DOGE savings to American citizens and 20% goes to paying down debt because the numbers are incredible,” Mr. Trump said at the Future Investment Institute’s PRIORITY Summit in Miami.

Mr. Trump said by allowing the American people to get in on the action, they will help the federal government identify the fraud, waste and abuse that he was sent to Washington to clean up.

“By doing this Americans will tell us where there’s waste. They’ll be reporting it themselves. They’ll participate in the process of saving money,” he said.

Mr. Trump did not offer any details about the plan, including how many Americans would receive checks or how the process would work. (Read more from “Trump Endorses Sending DOGE Rebate Checks to Taxpayers” HERE)
