Arby’s Manager Confesses to Peeing in Milkshake Mix: Police

A Washington state man who worked as a manager at Arby’s has been accused of peeing into the restaurant’s milkshake mix, which could have later been served to dozens of customers.

Vancouver police found a video, which shows 29-year-old Stephen Sharp urinating into a bag of milkshake mix, on Sharp’s phone while investigating him for possession of child pornography. . .

Sharp allegedly admitted to investigators that he had urinated two different times in the mixture for “sexual gratification” but was “almost sure” that he had thrown the bag away after, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by the Columbian. If the bag was not thrown away, approximately 30 to 40 milkshakes sold to customers could have been contaminated. (Read more from “Arby’s Manager Confesses to Peeing in Milkshake Mix: Police” HERE)

Unreal: Mcdonald’s Employee Fired After Refusing to Serve Paramedics

They’re popping up all over the country. Stories about first responders being refused service or harassed at various establishments, whether that be for coffee or engagement rings, it’s becoming a recurring theme. It’s disturbing, though undoubtedly fueled in part by the ranks of the politically correct and the Black Lives Matter crowd. We had a sheriff’s deputy in North Carolina barred from picking up his engagement ring because he was carrying his service weapon. Five police officers in Tempe, Arizona were told to leave a local Starbucks because some snowflake was triggered by their presence in the establishment. And now, some Florida snowflake didn’t want to serve anyone with a badge. Oh, sorry—let me rewind for a second; a McDonald’s employee was fired because she refused to serve…a paramedic. Yeah, even after the first responder said he wasn’t a police officer, she still refused service. The incident occurred in Madeira Beach, Florida (via ABC Action News, Tampa Bay):

A McDonald’s employee was fired after turning away Sunstar paramedics Wednesday night.

Sunstar paramedic Anthony Quinn accused the employee at the McDonald’s in Madeira Beach of refusing to provide service to him and his partner, according to a review he left.

Quinn’s review stated that he went into the restaurant in his uniform to use the restroom when the employee told him “we don’t accept officers in here.” After telling her that he wasn’t an officer she proceeded to say that they didn’t accept “anyone with a badge.”

After Quinn’s partner walked in to order food, the employee, according to his review, told him “we don’t serve your kind here.”

Burger Joint Closed After Viral Video Shows Workers Cooking Rat on Grill

A fast food restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii, was closed and two employees were fired after a viral video showed a rat sizzling on a grill – next to hamburger. . .

Teddy’s Bigger Burgers closed its Mapunapuna Street location for a deep cleaning and fired two employees who appeared in the Snapchat video, the Associated Press reported. The video shows one of the employees flipping what appears to be a dead rat on the grill.

“We are horrified that a former teenage employee would conduct themselves in that way and make such a video of which we are investigating its authenticity,” said Richard Stula, the president of Teddy’s Bigger Burgers.

Hawaii’s state health department is scheduled to inspect the restaurant again. Additionally, the company is hiring a licensed pest control business to check the restaurant for rodents, Peter Oshiro, the state’s environmental health program manager, told the news outlet.

“We are horrified a former employee would create something like this trying to destroy our reputation without regard for our 20-plus years of quality and aloha,” he told the news outlet. Is Chick-Fil-A or Starbucks More Popular?

The smear campaign against Chick-fil-A has been a colossal failure, as demonstrated by its continued financial success. A recent poll provides more evidence of just how much the campaign against the food chain has failed: It’s doing surprisingly well with an unexpected demographic, teenagers.

According to the latest Taking Stock With Teens survey from Piper Jaffray, Chick-fil-A has actually surpassed Starbucks in popularity among middle-class and upper-income teens.

Restaurant Business Online notes that the spike contrasts with a 2010 study showing Chick-fil-A was barely in the Top 5 in the demographic. Just last year, the company enjoyed a full 14.2% total sales growth.

The survey canvassed 8,600 teens at an “average age of 16, 36% of whom are employed part-time,” with roughly three-quarters reporting an “average household income of $56,000.” Roughly 2,400 teens reported an average household income of $102,000.

The overtly progressive Starbucks has long enjoyed being one of the top-rated restaurant brands among teenagers. In 2011, the coffee chain even surpassed McDonald’s in popularity for that demographic. How could Starbucks be losing transaction growth in the U.S. while Chick-fil-A overtakes it? McDonald’s Employee Accused of Putting Cleaner in Cop’s Drink

A Kansas McDonald’s worker has been charged with one count of aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer for allegedly putting cleaner in a deputy’s drink.

Trevor Hockaday, 22, was charged Wednesday by Allen County police for putting a peroxide-based cleaner usually used to clean the restaurant’s counters in an Allen County Deputy’s drink on September 12.

According to investigators, the deputy picked up the food from the McDonald’s drive-thru while Hockaday was working. Officials say a short time after drinking the beverage, the deputy experienced flu-like symptoms, KOAM reports. . .

According to the publication, a coworker of Hockaday came forward and said Hockaday added “four little squirts” of the cleaner to the cop’s beverage.

“In today’s day and age, not only us in law enforcement but citizens as a whole, there’s enough going on out there that we have to worry about … now my guys are cautious about going through that drive through,” Murphy said to the Wichita Eagle. “We all chose this line of work to protect and serve. Now my guys have that concern of is my food safe.” (Read more from “McDonald’s Employee Accused of Putting Cleaner in Cop’s Drink” HERE)

Guess Which Restaurant Was Crowned America’s Favorite Fast Food Chain? Leftists Will Hate This

More and more evidence keeps pouring in that the Left’s war on the fast food chain Chick-fil-A has failed abysmally. For the third year in a row, it has been crowned America’s number one fast-food chain.

“Chick-fil-A was named America’s top fast-food restaurant for the third year in a row in the 2018 American Customer Satisfaction Index’s Restaurant Report, which surveyed more than 22,500 American consumers,” reports Ledger-Enquirer. . .

“The chicken specialist dominates the rankings with the highest score across both restaurant categories, and its food quality continues to rate higher than the competition. Chick-fil-A maintains a wide lead over chicken rival KFC, as the Yum! Brands chain slips 1% to 77,” the report said.

The Atlanta-based company has held the top spot for three years now, which means their popularity only climbed following the backlash over CEO Dan Cathy expressing support for traditional marriage. The controversy reached such a fever-pitch that even city mayors tried to ban them from doing business. (Read more from “Guess Which Restaurant Was Crowned America’s Favorite Fast Food Chain? Healthy Fast Food? McDonald’s Kale Salad Has More Calories Than a Double Big Mac

In a quest to reinvent its image, McDonald’s is on a health kick. But some of its nutrient-enhanced meals are actually comparable to junk food, say some health experts.

One of McDonald’s new kale salads has more calories, fat, and sodium than a Double Big Mac.

Kale, a leafy green vegetable chock-full of vitamins, has become a trendy superfood. In Canada, the global fast food chain recently tossed the green into a breakfast wrap and a line of salads.

McDonald’s boasts on its site that the “Keep Calm, Caesar On” chicken salad contains “real parmesan petals” and “a nutrient-rich lettuce blend with baby kale.”

But once you plop the accompanying Asiago Caesar dressing on the “crispy chicken” version, the salad’s nutritional profile doesn’t look so good. According to McDonald’s own numbers, the salad tops up at 730 calories, 53 grams of fat, and 1,400 milligrams of salt. (Read more from “Healthy Fast Food? McDonald’s Franchisees Say the Brand Is in a ‘Deep Depression’ and ‘Facing Its Final Days’

“We are in the throes of a deep depression, and nothing is changing,” one franchisee wrote in response to the survey by Nomura analyst Mark Kalinowski. “Probably 30% of operators are insolvent.”

Another wrote, “The CEO is sowing the seeds of our demise. We are a quick-serve fast-food restaurant, not a fast casual like Five Guys or Chipotle. The system may be facing its final days.”

More than a dozen franchisees expressed frustration with McDonald’s management, saying that CEO Steve Easterbrook’s turnaround plan — which includes initiatives like all-day breakfast and a shift to digital ordering kiosks — is a distraction from the core issues of McDonald’s, like food quality and customer service . . .

Several franchisees complained about all-day breakfast, saying that it has complicated kitchen operations and goes against Easterbrook’s repeated promises to simplify the menu.

“The system is very lost at the moment,” one franchisee wrote. “Our menu boards are still bloated, and we are still trying to be too many things to too many people. … Things are broken from the franchisee perspective.” (Read more from “McDonald’s Franchisees Say the Brand Is in a ‘Deep Depression’ and ‘Facing Its Final Days'” HERE)
