Lisa Page and Peter Strzok are the two folks who serve as the face of the FBI’s bias and corruption. The lovebirds’ texts have tarnished the bureau’s reputation as an impartial and professional law enforcement agency. Donald Trump broke the FBI. The 2016 election broke the FBI. There are also other instances of the FBI dropping the ball. They totally screwed up the investigation into Larry Nassar, the now-convicted child predator who abused scores of American gymnasts, which forced FBI Director Wray to issue an apology. Now, we have a top FBI official having inappropriate interactions with journalists, including receiving gifts, which is the least surprising thing to emanate from this the J. Edgar Hoover post-Trump (via Free Beacon):

The FBI’s top national security official had dozens of improper meetings with journalists and accepted tickets from one journalist to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, interactions that FBI officials said were a “no-no” and “dangerous.”

Michael Steinbach, who served as an FBI executive assistant director, failed to report the gifts on his federal financial disclosures, according to an inspector general report obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. He met regularly from 2014 until his abrupt retirement in February 2017 with 7 reporters and had contact with 21 others. His interactions with journalists overlapped with his work on major counterterrorism cases and Crossfire Hurricane, the ill-fated investigation into collusion between the 2016 Donald Trump campaign and Russia.

The report, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, is the latest example of a top FBI official accepting gifts from journalists. The former head of FBI public affairs, Michael Kortan, received baseball game tickets and other gifts from CNN and New York Times reporters. Journalists also plied Steinbach’s former deputy, Bryan Paarmann, with a variety of gifts.

The Special Counsel Proved the FBI Belongs to the Swamp

. . .[A]fter less than one full day of deliberations, a D.C. jury stacked with pro-Hillary Clinton jurors acquitted former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, proving the FBI is not “ours” but the swamp’s.

Just more than two weeks ago, prosecutor Brittain Shaw began opening statements in United States v. Sussmann, by stating the obvious: “Some people have very strong feelings about politics and about Russia, and many people have strong feelings about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.”

“But we are not here because these allegations involve either of them,” Shaw continued. “Nor are we here because the defendant’s client was the Clinton campaign.” Rather, “we are here because the FBI is our institution that should not be used as a political tool for anyone; not Republicans, not Democrats, not anyone.”

But after hearing overwhelming evidence that Sussmann lied when he told the then-FBI General Counsel James Baker he was providing data and whitepapers about a supposed secret communications channel between Trump and the Russian-based Alfa Bank on his own behalf, when in fact Sussmann was representing both the Clinton campaign and tech executive Rodney Joffe, the 12 D.C. residents found Sussmann not guilty.

It was not the verdict, however, that confirmed that the FBI belongs to career bureaucrats, high-powered D.C. elites who revolve in and out of the government as political appointees, and the families and friends of all the above. Rather, it was the speed with which the acquittal came, coupled with the in-court testimony and other evidence exposed by the special counsel throughout the prosecution that proved the FBI isn’t America’s anymore. Hillary’s ‘Disinformation’ Used to Deceive 2016 Voters?

A former FBI official has concluded that Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democrat Party used “contrived disinformation” in an attempt to deceive voters before the 2016 presidential election, when she became a two-time loser with her loss to President Donald Trump.

“What [special counsel John] Durham is methodically doing, is laying out a case that the Hillary Clinton campaign, the Democrat Party used contrived disinformation in a conspiracy, in a conspiratorial way, to deceive the American voter ahead of the election,” explained retired Assistant Director for Intelligence Kevin Brock. . .

“This is more than just political dirty tricks,” he explained. “Political dirty tricks usually have some foundation in truth. But they just made stuff up.”

Durham, in fact, is investigating the origins of the Democrats’ now-debunked Russia collusion claims they made against Trump as a candidate, and then later as president.

The charges were that Trump’s campaign was somehow colluding with Russia to win the American election, when the evidence now has revealed that it was the Clinton campaign that funded the fabrication of the “Steele dossier” claims, now known to be false, against Trump using some information from Russian sources. Botched Probe 13: Larry Nassar Victims Seek $130 Million From FBI

Thirteen survivors of Larry Nassar’s sex abuse are demanding a total of $130 million from the FBI — claiming its failure to investigate led to months of more abuse by the sicko sports doctor.

The female athletes allege the federal agency knew about the abuse in July 2015 but turned a blind eye by failing to document interviews with victims and report allegations to its field office in Lansing, Mich., according to the tort claim.

“To know that the FBI could have helped to avoid this trauma disgusts me. It hurts me,” ballerina Grace French, one of the victims named in the legal filings, said at a press conference Thursday.

Abolish the FBI or Face an American Putin

Following the death of Stalin, the Soviet secret police pivoted from heavy-handed mass arrests to a subtler, but still sinister, system of mass spying and accumulation of “kompromot,” or compromising material, on its citizens. The Soviets maintained control by prioritizing spying on religious figures, political activists, journalists, and public officials. We’re now finding out that the FBI in America has a similar program of mass surveillance of similar targets. And, as with the Soviets, much of the spying has nothing to do with investigating crime.

According to a Justice Department internal audit report, the FBI maintained an active caseload of 24,584 cases during the 18 months between January 2018 and June of 2019. A grossly disproportionate share of those cases involved surveillance of influential Americans such as candidates for office, public officials, journalists, religious leaders, and political activists. When the FBI targets an individual wielding high social influence, it categorizes the case as “sensitive.”

To prevent the FBI from abusing investigations to capture the levers of government and subverting democracy, the Justice Department has established rules. Most important among these rules is that the FBI isn’t supposed to start investigating a public official unless it has reason to suspect a crime. Nearly every “sensitive case” evidenced violations of the rules. In fact, the office of inspector general identified an average of two violations for every reviewed sensitive case.

Vladimir Putin, not unlike our current FBI Director Christopher Wray, got his start as a “reformer” known for mouthing reform slogans to parry public outrage over the many abuses of the national police organization. Like Putin, Wray has used the smokescreen of cosmetic reforms to amass great power at the expense of the democratic process he is supposed to protect. The FBI has proven over and over again to be totally immune to reform. It consistently fails to punish employees for violating the rules, so changing those rules has no effect.

The existence of the FBI has had no effect on the crime wave plaguing America. Contrary to the many dramatized depictions of the FBI, the Bureau solves an insignificant minority of crimes in America. (Read more from “Abolish the FBI or Face an American Putin” HERE)

The Gov’t Plot to Kidnap a Gov: Inside FBI’s Infiltration and Entrapment of a Militia Crew

The FBI got walloped last week when a Michigan jury concluded that the bureau had entrapped two men accused of plotting to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Those men and others were arrested a few weeks before the 2020 election in a high-profile, FBI-fabricated case that Joe Biden claimed showed President Trump’s “tolerance of hate, vengeance, and lawlessness to plots such as this one.” But the jury verdict exposes how the feds have created the monsters they parade to vindicate their vast power over Americans. . .

Whitmer was denounced at protests and on the Facebook page of the “Wolverine Watchmen,” where angry anti-government bluster poured forth. Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg testified to Congress in October 2020 that Facebook had “identified” the Whitmer kidnap plot “as a signal to the FBI about six months ago” regarding “suspicious activity on our platform.” . . .

But the plot didn’t exist at that point.

That is, until multiple government-paid newcomers joined the group. Stephen Robeson, an FBI informant with a list of felonies and other crimes, organized key events to build the movement.

Dan Chapel, another FBI informant who was paid $54,000, became second-in-command and masterminded the military training for the group, even as he helped the feds wiretape their messages. Biden’s ‘Laptop From Hell’ Repairman Wondering of ‘Politically Motivated Attack’ on His Unemployment Benefits

The computer technician, who repaired Hunter Biden’s infamous “laptop from hell” and turned it over to the FBI, says his unemployment claims were repeatedly closed until he sent a letter to Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE), wondering if the “state agency was weaponized to punish a perceived political enemy,” and threatened to take the story public.

John Paul Mac Isaac, 45, told the New York Post that he applied for unemployment in December of 2020 — a month after he was forced to close his computer shop in Delaware and move to Colorado. Mac Isaac says his cases were repeatedly closed, forcing him to use his 401k funds to make ends meet, and he was eventually told to stop opening new claims. The computer technician finally sent a letter to Coons in December 2021.

“I would hate to think that I was singled out in a politically motivated attack. If a state agency was weaponized to punish a perceived political enemy, the country has a right to know,” Mac Isaac wrote. After sending the letter, he began to receive unemployment funds, though Mac Isaac says he ended up receiving a few thousand dollars less than what was owed to him. FBI Admits It Bought Israel’s Pegasus Cellphone Spyware . . . But Claims It Never Used It

The FBI has confirmed that it obtained NSO Group’s powerful Pegasus spyware, suggesting that it bought access to the Israeli surveillance tool to “stay abreast of emerging technologies and tradecraft”.

In a statement released to the Guardian, the bureau said it had procured a “limited licence” to access Pegasus for “product testing and evaluation only”, and suggested that its evaluation of the tool partly related to security concerns if the spyware fell into the “wrong hands”.

The bureau also claimed it had never used Pegasus in support of any FBI investigation. “There was no operational use in support of any investigation, the FBI procured a limited licence for product testing and evaluation only,” it said.

The statement marks a direct acknowledgment by the FBI that it acquired Pegasus, one of the world’s most sophisticated hacking tools.

Texas Synagogue Attack Smells Like More Evidence of FBI Corruption

After all hostages were released from Beth Isreal Synagogue in Colleyville, Texas where they were held for 11 hours on Saturday, FBI Special Agent in Charge Matt DeSarno from the Dallas field office told reporters that the gunman was “focused on one issue” that was unrelated to the Jewish community, and that they are “continuing to work to find the motive.”

That “one issue” is presumably the imprisonment of Aafia Siddiqui, also known as “Lady Al Qaeda,” a Pakistani national who is serving an 86-year sentence in a prison less than 20 miles from the synagogue. The gunman, Malik Faisal Akram, a 44-year-old British citizen, was heard shouting about Siddiqui’s release and demanding to speak to his “sister,” a terrorist whose release mainstream Muslim groups have recently been lobbying for. Akram died of gunshot wounds after the hostages were released.

The FBI’s statement that they “are continuing to work to find the motive” is another example of the agency’s ineptitude on multiple levels. The first is simply their refusal to even hint at the crime’s motivation as antisemitism, which is the only accurate label for an attack at a synagogue on Shabbat where a rabbi and three congregants are held hostage.

“If the law enforcement community doesn’t understand what’s going on, they’re not going to be able to address the fallout from this,” said Kenneth Marcus, the founder and chairman of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law. “This was not a mere slip-up. It is symptomatic of a widespread failure with law enforcement to understand the problems of antisemitism and anti-Zionism,” he told Fox News.

But perhaps even more frustrating is the FBI’s corrupt obsession and use of resources on cases that suit their political fancy, like the Jan. 6 Capitol riot or “Operation Varsity Blues” (catching rich people scamming to get their underachieving kids into top universities), while letting serious violent threats to Americans fly under the radar. FBI Dramatically Changes Tune on Synagogue Hostage Situation; Hero Rabbi: Here’s How the Synagogue Leader Ended the 10-Hour Ordeal

The FBI has changed its tune on the hostage situation at a Texas synagogue over the weekend.

As Rebecca covered, the FBI initially claimed the suspect wasn’t specifically targeting the Jewish community. . .

FBI Special Agent in Charge Matt DeSarno said on Saturday they believed the suspect was “singularly focused on one issue” which “was not specifically related to the Jewish community.”

By late Sunday, the FBI caught up to reality.

“This is a terrorism-related matter, in which the Jewish community was targeted, and is being investigated by the Joint Terrorism Task Force,” the FBI said in a new statement. “We never lose sight of the threat extremists pose to the Jewish community and to other religious, racial, and ethnic groups.”

Hero Rabbi: Synagogue Leader Threw Chair at Crazed Terrorist to End 10-Hour Hostage Ordeal

By New York Post. The hero rabbi held hostage in his Texas synagogue has credited active-shooter training for helping him save his congregants — revealing Monday that he threw a chair at the terrorist so they could finally escape. . .

“In the last hour of our hostage crisis, the gunman became increasingly belligerent and threatening,” the rabbi said in a statement of British terrorist Malik Faisal Akram, who “wasn’t getting what he wanted.” . . .

He said he remembered the security training warning that “when your life is threatened, you need to do whatever you can to get to safety.”

That came when Akram “wasn’t in a good position” and Cytron-Walker and the two congregants with him were close to an exit, he told CBS, saying he made sure they “were ready to go.”

“I told them to go,” he said. “I threw a chair at the gunman, and I headed for the door. And all three of us were able to get out without even a shot being fired,” he told CBS of the “terrifying” ordeal.
