Gavin Newsom’s Latest Attack Against the Second Amendment Is Dripping With Irony

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) criticized the Second Amendment during an interview with CBS News after recent mass shootings in his state, but his comments against the right to own a firearm were interesting since he was being guarded by men with guns at the same time.

“This Second Amendment’s becoming a suicide pact, it feels like. That’s the only question the community wants: How are you going to, what about our kids when they’re going to school? What more can we do? And, you know again, we look at that all the time. I mean, we did another half-dozen gun safety bills last year. We’ll continue to find all the loopholes we can. We’ll continue to lead the national conversation on gun safety reform,” Newsom said.

“California’s 37 percent lower than the death rate of the rest of the nation, and yet, with all that evidence, no one on the other side seems to give a damn,” he continued.

While he was walking with host Nora O’Donnell outside, multiple bodyguards can be seen in the background.

Federal Judge Strikes Down Gavin Newsom’s ‘Cynical’ Gun Control Scheme

A federal judge has blocked the state of California from enforcing a gun control scheme that was modeled after a controversial Texas abortion law, delivering Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom the exact outcome he wanted.

U.S. District Court Judge Roger Benitez of the Southern District of California issued a permanent injunction on Monday against the “fee-shifting” provisions of the state’s gun law – which empowers private citizens to bring lawsuits against gun manufacturers – declaring it unconstitutional.

“‘It is cynical. ‘It is an abomination.’ ‘It is outrageous and objectionable.’ ‘There is no dispute that it raises serious constitutional questions.’ ‘It is an unprecedented attempt to thwart judicial review,’” Benitez wrote in his opinion, quoting directly from Newsom’s criticisms of the Texas abortion law.

The Texas measure makes abortions illegal after a fetal heartbeat can be detected and permits private citizens to sue abortion providers or anyone else who assists in a woman’s procurement of abortion for $10,000. This fee-shifting mechanism was designed to protect the 2021 law from judicial review to circumvent the Supreme Court’s old abortion precedent in Roe v. Wade. The high court has since overturned that precedent, permitting states to restrict, or liberalize, abortion. Tears of Joy: Pro-life Woman Shown in ‘Evil Light’ in ‘Demonic’ Abortion Rights Ad Pushed by Clinton, Newsom (VIDEO)

A pro-life woman said she was “outraged” that she featured in a pro-choice ad shared by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in support of a proposal to enshrine abortion in the California State Constitution.

In an open letter she posted to her Twitter account on Oct. 20, Macy Petty excoriated Clinton, Newsom and those behind the ad, claiming that by doing so they were misusing her image to promote “demonic activity.”

The video disseminated by Clinton, Newsom and many others briefly depicts Macy Petty collapsing to the ground in tears outside the Supreme Court as the announcement came in June that Roe v. Wade had been overturned. Superimposed over her image was the word “sad,” implying that Petty’s reaction was one of devastation instead of joy.

“Hey Hillary, I’m the girl crying in this video,” pro-life activist Macy Petty tweeted at Clinton on Oct. 20. “I am pro-life and those are HAPPY tears because I just witnessed a MIRACLE!”

“I’m part of a generation of pro-life activists,” Petty told The Christian Post in an interview published Friday. “My mom worked at a pregnancy center, and my grandma started one. So it’s in my blood. And I was just so grateful to be there to witness it because there are so many people who were in the fight before me who didn’t get to witness it.”

California Governor Awards Himself Custody of Children With Gender Dysphoria, Pro-Family Group Says

Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, has signed into law a bill making California a sanctuary for children seeking gender transition treatment across state lines.

State Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco, introduced the “trans refuge bill” (Senate Bill 107) last year, and it cleared the California State Legislature a month ago.

“California’s dangerous and extreme new law is the latest in an onslaught of attacks against parental rights and a demonstration of just how far some governments are willing to go to replace parents as the ultimate decision-makers of what’s best for children,” Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel Emilie Kao said Friday in a prepared statement.

Once the law takes effect Jan. 1, California courts may take custody of kids who are seeking gender transition treatment out of state and enroll them in California’s foster care system. . .

Governor Signs Bill Making California Sanctuary for Child Gender Surgery

Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill Thursday making California a sanctuary state for child gender surgery.

The new law restricts California officials and health providers from cooperating with out-of-state attempts to stop a child from getting gender health services, which could include puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or gender surgery.

“In California we believe in equality and acceptance. We believe that no one should be prosecuted or persecuted for getting the care they need — including gender-affirming care,” Newsom said in a signing message.

“Parents know what’s best for their kids, and they should be able to make decisions around the health of their children without fear. We must take a stand for parental choice,” the governor added.

The law prohibits health care providers from releasing medical information about a child receiving gender health services in response to a criminal or civil action from a state where such care is restricted. Christians Slam Newsom for ‘Disgusting’ Billboards Quoting Jesus

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom is taking flak from Christians who are offended by his multi-state billboard campaign that promotes abortion by quoting Jesus.

Last week, Newsom took to Twitter to tout the billboards his gubernatorial campaign is erecting in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and four other “anti-freedom” states where abortion is restricted or outlawed.

Some versions of the billboards, all of which urge women in such states to come to California to get abortions, advertise the state’s easily obtainable abortions by quoting Mark 12:31, where Jesus says, “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.”

Newsom tagged several GOP governors in his Twitter thread, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves. The billboards are also going up Indiana, South Carolina and South Dakota.

“The idea that Newsom is using the words of Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, to promote the killing of unborn children as somehow loving and commanded by God is quite frankly disgusting,” said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law & Justice, in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Gavin Newsom Will Run for President in 2024 if Biden Doesn’t: Report

Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom of California will run for president in 2024 should President Joe Biden not seek re-election, according to a report by The Wrap on Monday.

One source close to Newsom, a Democratic fundraiser in California, told The Wrap about Newsom’s plans, which were confirmed by another source. Newsom “absolutely is going to announce that he is running for the presidency once Biden announces that he is not running,” said the fundraiser, according to The Wrap.

Since Roe v. Wade was overturned, Newsom has been launching ad campaigns in several Republican-run states – challenging their new restrictions on abortion and inviting women there to receive abortions in California. He has also clashed with Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida and, after the latter flew migrants from the southern border to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, challenged him to a debate.

Governor Announces New Abortion Website Attacking Republicans for Being Pro-life

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) announced the launch of a new website designed to take a stab at states who restricted abortion.

The website will feature information about abortion access and reproductive services in the state, in an attempt to make the state even more progressive and abortion-friendly.

It will make the procedure accessible “no matter where they live,” providing information about traveling to California to obtain an abortion in addition to information on “how, where and when” to access abortion in the state.

This comes hours after Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) announced a new legislation for a 15-week national abortion ban.

“Make no mistake–Lindsey Graham’s new national ban on abortion is about controlling women,” Newsom said in response, adding “that’s their agenda. CA’s fighting back.”

California Governor Urges Hollywood Pals to Punish Conservative States

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Wednesday in an ad that Hollywood needs to “walk the walk” by pulling production out of Republican states.

Newsom released the ad Wednesday while also endorsing a proposal to provide $1.65 billion and a five-year extension of the state’s film and television production tax credit program, The New York Times reported.

“For 100 years, we’ve been the home for storytelling and storytellers,” the ad reads. “Together, we built a creative community that includes unrivaled casts, crews, craftspeople, infrastructure and technology. Robust tax credits and other incentives. The best culture. Most importantly, we share your values. So now, it’s time to choose.”

The ad then attacks Republican-led states like Georgia and Oklahoma, which Newsom alleges have “waged a cruel assault on essential rights.” Newsom claims the states have attacked “reproductive freedom.”

“Today more than ever, you have a responsibility to take stock of your values – and those of your employees – when doing business in those states,” the ad continues. “California is a freedom state: Freedom to tell your stories. Freedom to access the health services you need, including abortion care. Freedom to love who you love and to ensure that your LGBTQ friends, family and colleagues can proudly be who they are. Is Gavin Newsom Running for President? Governor’s July 4 Ad Targets DeSantis

California Gov. Gavin Newsom took aim at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a new campaign ad, claiming “freedom is under attack” in states such as Florida that are run by Republican governors.

“Your Republican leaders, they’re banning books,” Newsom says in the ad as images of DeSantis play on the screen. The California Democrat goes on to say Republican governors are also “making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors.”

Newsom appeared to be referencing a DeSantis move to reject 41% of the state’s math books over concerns that the books used material that included themes of social-emotional learning, Common Core standards and critical race theory, which are all banned under Florida law. . .

“I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight,” Newsom says, adding that Floridians could also “join us in California, where we still believe in freedom.”
