Biden Will Not Attend Funeral of Pope Benedict ‘in Line With the Wishes of the Vatican’

President Joe Biden will not be attending the funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, per the wishes of the late pope and the Vatican, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Tuesday.

The U.S. will send Ambassador of the Holy See, Joe Donnelly, “in line with the wishes of the late Pope and the Vatican. This is what their requests were. This is what their wishes were,” Jean-Pierre said.

The funeral will only host world leaders from Italy and Benedict’s home country of Germany due to the private nature of the event, Reuters reported.

Biden Spent Nearly 40% Of 2022 in Delaware, Camp David, or on Vacation

President Joe Biden spent nearly 40% of 2022 in Delaware, Camp David and vacation destinations.

A Daily Caller analysis of Biden’s 2022 public schedule shows that the president spent 92 days or partial days at one of his Delaware properties, and 32 days or partial days at Camp David.

Biden also vacationed seven days in South Carolina, five days in Nantucket, and five days in the U.S. Virgin Islands, bringing his total getaway days to a total of 141, or 38.6% of his first full calendar year. . .

Biden’s numbers, however, are on track to outpace every president, CNN reported, using data compiled by former CBS White House Correspondent Mark Knoller.

His time working from Delaware had already exceeded that of Trump in October, according to Knoller. If Biden is re-elected and keeps up the pace of his trips to Delaware, his vacation time would far eclipse those of Obama, Bush and Reagan, Knoller told the outlet. Joe Biden Pardons Criminally Convicted People, Including a Woman Who Killed Her Husband

President Joe Biden granted pardons to six people who have been convicted of drug charges and murder.

On Friday, the White House announced that the pardons include a woman who killed her husband, a man who sold untaxed whiskey at age 18, and a former soldier who pleaded guilty to getting high on ecstasy.

“Today, President Biden is granting six full pardons for individuals who have served their sentences and have demonstrated a commitment to improving their communities and the lives of those around them,” a White House official said.

Biden, who is currently vacationing at a donor’s home in St. Croix, has previously said that America is a “nation of laws and second chances, redemption, and rehabilitation,” hence why he gave pardons to convicted criminals.

The Biden White House’s Obstruction of House GOP Oversight Has Begun

It’s not surprising that President Biden and his administration would resist oversight by Republicans in the House of Representatives, but it’s notable that the White House is already kicking off what’s likely to be a concerted attempt to stonewall the new House majority’s investigations of the Biden administration.

According to reporting from Politico — which appears to have been a coordinated leak from the White House to get in front of the story, as Rebecca reported Wednesday night — Biden’s White House legal team notified GOP Reps. Jim Jordan (OH) and James Comer (KY) that their requests for information from the Biden administration would not be heeded because they were “constitutionally illegitimate.”

White House lawyer Richard Sauber told Jordan and Comer that “Congress has not delegated such authority to individual members of Congress who are not committee chairmen, and the House has not done so under its current Rules.” That means that Republicans leading oversight efforts must, essentially, restart their investigations. Never mind, apparently, that Jordan is expected to be the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and Comer is likely the next chairman of the House Oversight Committee in the new Congress.

So — on something of a technicality — Biden’s White House lawyers tasked with shielding the president and his administration from scrutiny and slowing Republican investigations rejected the requests for information and said the West Wing would not heed the GOP inquiries. Joe Biden Demands China Travelers Provide Negative COVID Test After Calling Trump’s 2020 COVID Response ‘Nakedly Xenophobic’

Joe Biden will now require travelers from China to show a negative coronavirus test to enter the United States after claiming in 2020 former President Donald Trump’s coronavirus response was “fanning the flames” of “hate, fear and xenophobia” against Asian Americans during the pandemic.

Beginning January 5, travelers from China by air will have to provide a negative Covid-19 test to enter the nation “within two days of their departure from airports in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau,” Politico reported.

In January 2020, the Trump administration placed travel restrictions on passages arriving from China, where many experts believe coronavirus originated.

Biden called many of those restrictions racist in May 2020, claiming they were “denials, delays and distractions, many of which were nakedly xenophobic.”

“The pandemic has unleashed familiar forces of hate, fear and xenophobia that he always flames … that have always existed in this society,” Biden said. Biden Trusts His Dog Over ‘MAGA Sympathizer’ Secret Service, Report Claims

President Biden reportedly trusts his dog over his pro-MAGA Secret Service protection.

According to an upcoming book, the president doesn’t believe the Secret Service’s account of a biting incident involving his German shepherd dog Major.

Chris Whipple’s “The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House” reports that while Mr. Biden believes Major bit an agent, he thinks the service, which he believes became politicized under former President Trump, is fudging details to make itself look good.

Three-Quarters of Americans Want President Under 65, New Poll Shows

. . .A new poll shows the vast majority of Americans want their president to be under the age of 65 — seemingly precluding 76-year-old former President Donald Trump and 80-year-old President Biden from successful White House runs in 2024.

The Suffolk University/USA Today survey found 50% of registered voters say their “ideal president” would be between 51 and 65 years old. Another 25% liked their chief executive even younger, between the ages of 35 and 50.

Another 15% said age didn’t matter, but just 8% said they preferred a president between the ages of 66 and 80 — and just 0.4% said they wanted one older than 80.

Biden, already the oldest person to serve as president, has said he plans to run for a second term in 2024, but would make a final decision after the holidays.

Bombshell Footage: Biden DHS Freed Over 150K Border Crossers Into U.S. Without Court Dates in Summer 2021

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released more than 150,000 border crossers and illegal aliens, without a Notice to Appear (NTA) in immigration court, into the United States in the summer of 2021, bombshell footage reveals.

As part of a lawsuit against Biden’s expansive Catch and Release network, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody obtained internal DHS footage revealing the extent to which the agency released hundreds of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior without court dates.

“You know over the summer, we had well over 150,000 folks come in,” the ICE official states. “They were issued a piece of paper that said, ‘Find somebody in ICE,’ and that was pretty much it. There was no processing. So it shouldn’t be shocking when President Joe Biden left out Christ for the second consecutive year in his Christmas address to Americans.

On Thursday, Biden did not speak the word “Jesus” or “Christ” while talking about the spirit of the season, which is what Christmas is all about.

“How silently, how silently, the wondrous gift is given,” Biden said at the beginning of his speech.

‘Not Mentioning Christ’: Fox Panel Erupts Over Biden Christmas Speech

By Daily Caller. A Fox News panel blasted President Joe Biden’s Christmas speech Friday for “not mentioning Christ,” while one panelist called Biden out for hypocrisy when discussing political polarization.

“Not saying the name of Jesus, when … John Adams actually said, this Constitution is made for a moral and religious people only,” Kara Frederick, a panelist on “Outnumbered” said. “So America has lost its sense of God, it’s Judeo-Christian values, and I think this is just a manifestation, this speech, not mentioning Christ, talking about how divided this nation has been for so long, it’s all part and parcel of the secularization of America, and we need to return to our faith. That’s the only way society is going to work going forward and it’s made us a city on a hill. We need to reclaim that. We need to reclaim our founding principles, period.”

Biden’s Thursday address decried the polarization in politics, months after he labeled Trump supporters a “threat to democracy” during a Sept. 1 speech in Philadelphia. Biden also accused Republicans of embracing “semi-fascism” during remarks at an Aug. 25 fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee and attacked “MAGA Republicans” in an Aug. 30 speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Biden Issues Dire Warning on Monster Winter Storm Sweeping US

By Fox News. President Biden warned travelers to “leave now” or face canceled plans amid a massive winter storm sweeping the U.S. on Thursday.

Biden confirmed the White House has reached out to at least 26 governors in affected states and is prepared to provide federal assistance. Biden told reporters the storm is “not like a snow day” before entering a meeting with officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the National Weather Service (NWS).

Blizzard conditions are threatening winter travel plans across the Great Plains and the Midwest. The NWS has warned that conditions could become life-threatening for travelers in many areas if they become stranded in their vehicles.

“I encourage everyone, everyone to please heed the local warnings. We’ve tried to contact 26 governors so far in affected regions,” Biden said.

Here’s What’s Driving the Frigid Storm That’s Messing up Holiday Plans Across the US

By The Verge. Frigid temperatures are expected to sting two-thirds of the continental US this week as a powerful storm system races eastward. The timing couldn’t be worse, hitting right before the holidays, when many Americans are planning to travel. Those journeys — and even just being outside in some of the hardest-hit regions — may become treacherous as brutal cold blankets the country. . .

The biggest culprit behind the holiday madness is an extremely cold air mass moving in from the Arctic. That’s ushering in conditions surprisingly similar to the legendary “Great Blizzard of 1978,” experts tell The Verge. Fortunately, forecasters can now issue more accurate warnings much earlier than they could in the ’70s. Hopefully, that’ll give people enough time to prepare and keep themselves safe. This storm system packs a number of punches — from rapidly dropping temperatures to dangerous winds, snow, and ice.

“You won’t see the like of this kind of a storm probably another time in the next 25 or so years,” Jonathan Martin, a professor of atmospheric and oceanic sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, tells The Verge. “It’s really intense, and in some locations, the impacts will be extraordinary.”

Why is the US facing a record-breaking cold air mass? Well, the sun set at the North Pole on September 21st. The Arctic is in the dead of its months-long winter darkness. With no sun to warm the air up, Martin explains, “All that the air can do is cool off because it’s a 24-hour-long nighttime.
