House Republicans To Investigate Biden’s Afghanistan Withdrawal

The House Foreign Affairs Committee is threatening to subpoena the State Department as part of a probe into the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, CNN first reported late Thursday.

Republican Texas Rep. Michael McCaul, the committee’s new chairman, requested a trove of documents from the State Department related to the withdrawal with a deadline of Jan. 26, CNN reported. He threatened to subpoena the department if it does not turn over the documents.

“It is imperative that the State Department provide complete responses to these longstanding requests, and the Committee will not tolerate continued delay,” McCaul wrote in a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, according to CNN. “In the event of noncompliance, the Committee will use the authorities available to it to enforce these requests as necessary, including through compulsory process.”

Among the questions McCaul reportedly lists in the letter are, “What is the U.S. Government’s current relationship with the Taliban?” and “What are the Administration’s intentions for rescinding and/or reprogramming foreign assistance in Afghanistan?” (Read more from “House Republicans to Investigate Biden’s Afghanistan Withdrawal” HERE)

White House Continues to Dodge Questions About Biden’s Classified Document Scandal

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeatedly deflected questions this week about the growing controversy surrounding classified documents that were found at the home and private office of President Joe Biden. . .

“Is the president willing to be interviewed by federal investigators about his handling of classified documents?” a reporter asked Jean-Pierre on Thursday.

“So, first, let me just say: I’m just not going to get into hypotheticals,” she responded. “This is something for the Department of —”

“It’s not a hypothetical question. There’s an investigation ongoing,” the reporter responded. “Will the president speak to investigators?”

“You’re asking me about something in the future, and I am telling you that I’m not going to get ahead of what the Department of Justice is going to decide,” Jean-Pierre claimed.

House Oversight Demands List of Names and Locations Linked to Biden’s Classified Docs

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is not going to let the Biden White House off the hook after classified documents were found at President Joe Biden’s Delaware home.

On Friday, Comer pressed Biden’s legal team demanding a list of names and locations linked to the search of documents that were kept in the president’s garage and office.

The Republican also asked for a list of security clearance levels, and the job titles of any aid attorney assigned by Biden to search for the private papers among his personal belongings.

This comes a day after Comer said that the Biden Administration has a “history of covering things up.” (Read more from “House Oversight Demands List of Names and Locations Linked to Biden’s Classified Docs” HERE)

By Townhall. The White House confirmed Thursday morning that President Joe Biden improperly stored classified information in his Wilmington, Delaware garage.

Emails suggest Hunter Biden had access to garage where president kept classified docs, Corvette

By Fox News. Hunter Biden, who is under federal investigation for possible tax and foreign lobbying violations, listed his father’s Delaware address as his own residence, records show.

Emails reviewed and verified by Fox News Digital show the younger Biden listed his father’s Wilmington, Delaware, address as his own permanent residence for his credit card and Apple account in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Separately, New York Post reporter Miranda Devine, author of the book “Laptop From Hell,” shared a Twitter post showing a background screening document in which Hunter Biden also listed his father’s Delaware address as his own. White House: Biden ‘Inadvertently Misplaced’ Classified Documents in Three Different Locations, ‘Surprised They Were Found’

The White House defended President Joe Biden on Thursday after classified documents from his time as vice president were uncovered by his lawyers and reported to the National Archives.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre read a statement from Biden’s lawyers during the daily press briefing.

“We are confident that a thorough review will show that these documents were inadvertently misplaced, and the president and his lawyers acted promptly upon discovery of this mistake,” she said. . .

Jean-Pierre refused to clarify details about where the documents were found but confirmed that the president was “surprised the records were found” in his garage next to his Corvette. Did Merrick Garland Just Doom Joe Biden’s 2024 Campaign?

President Joe Biden’s chances of reelection are facing a new challenge, this time from one of his own administration officials, Attorney General Merrick Garland. . .

“The appointment of a special counsel is never good news for any sitting president,” political strategist Matt Klink told Newsweek.

Klink said that while the appointment won’t impact the 2024 presidential race based on what we known now, “special counsel investigations have a way of growing once they are initiated and the attorney general will likely be hands-off.”

Without knowing what might come from the investigation, it will be difficult to determine how a Biden 2024 campaign may unfold. Experts told Newsweek that there will be a number of factors that decide whether or not Garland’s appointment of a special counsel will derail a second Biden term. Despite Biden’s Explicit Denials, New York Times Confirms POTUS Involvement in Family Business

To this day, President Joe Biden denies his long history of involvement in the lucrative Biden family business, but the corrupt corporate media are finally admitting the president’s participation in the financial dealings spearheaded by his son Hunter Biden.

The New York Times published an article this week claiming, “a close look at [Hunter’s] story shows that it differs in important ways from the narrative promoted by Republicans,” who, with their newfound majority in the House, are investigating the Biden family’s “deliberate, repeated deception of the American people, abuse of the executive branch for personal gain, [and] use of government power to obstruct the investigation.”

The article merely acknowledges what conservative media outlets have reported for years about Biden’s involvement in Hunter’s overseas business dealings. Yes, then-Vice President Biden, who was tasked with “overseeing U.S. policy in Ukraine,” met with Hunter’s “main point of contact” at the Ukrainian energy company Burisma at a charity dinner event, the NYT confessed, but waved off Biden’s visit with Pozharskyi as the U.S. leader’s attempt “to spend time” with his addict son.

Followers of the unraveling Biden family corruption story have already known for over a year and a half that Pozharskyi confirmed this interaction in an email thanking Hunter for “giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent some time together.” (Read more from “Despite Biden’s Explicit Denials, New York Times Confirms POTUS Involvement in Family Business” HERE)

AG Garland Announces Special Counsel to Probe Biden’s Classified Document Scandal

In an awkward turn of events, President Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Thursday afternoon that the Biden DOJ was appointing a special counsel to investigate President Biden and his apparent mishandling of classified government documents that were found in Biden’s Delaware garage and a University of Pennsylvania office he used in D.C.

Garland announced that Robert Hur — a veteran of the Justice Department and the former U.S. Attorney in the District of Maryland under Trump who handled high-profile national security matters — would conduct an investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents following his service as vice president in the Obama administration to determine whether any illegal activity took place.

The appointment of a special counsel follows an initial investigation of the mishandled documents by a U.S. attorney in Illinois, and an FBI assessment to discern if classified information was mishandled by Biden in accordance with federal law, the result of which led Garland to appoint Hur as special counsel to carry out a full investigation of President Biden’s actions. Biden Had Second Batch of Classified Docs at Another Location: Report; Liberal Media Dismisses Biden Classified Documents Discovery

By NBC News. Aides to President Joe Biden have discovered at least one additional batch of classified documents in a location separate from the Washington office he used after leaving the Obama administration, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Since November, after the discovery of documents with classified markings in his former office, Biden aides have been searching for any additional classified materials that might be in other locations he used, said the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to provide details about the ongoing inquiry.

The White House did not return a request for comment. The Justice Department had no comment.

The initial discovery of classified documents in an office used by Biden after his vice presidency was first reported on Monday by CBS News. (Read more from “Air Force Football Player Dies at Age 21 After ‘Medical Emergency’” HERE)

Second Batch of Biden Classified Documents Found at Another Location: White House Faces Even More Questions – After Karine Jean-Pierre Refused to Say if There Was an Investigation Into Other Stashes of Sensitive Files

By Daily Mail. A second batch of classified files from Joe Biden’s Vice Presidency have been found at another location, according to a bombshell report on Wednesday night that put the White House under more scrutiny.

The latest discovery comes just days after the first set of sensitive files were found at a D.C. office for his think tank and as the Biden administration dodged questions on whether they were tracking down any other records. . .

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was hounded by reporters during her Thursday briefing shortly before the article was published – and insisted that Biden takes classified documents and their retention ‘seriously’.

On Wednesday, Jean-Pierre was asked by reporters whether Biden had looked into whether he might have possibly taken other documents to any other office he has or his homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth, Delaware.

She refused to provide an answer. ‘I’m just not going to speak to this. I’m going to let the process continue. It’s an ongoing process. And so, I’m just not going to, to speak to this from here. It is more prudent and more appropriate for my colleagues at the White House Counsel.’ (Read more from “Second Batch of Biden Classified Documents Found at Another Location: White House Faces Even More Questions – After Karine Jean-Pierre Refused to Say if There Was an Investigation Into Other Stashes of Sensitive Files” HERE)

Liberal Media Dismisses Biden Classified Documents Discovery: MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Calls It a ‘Brief Flurry of Excitement on the Right’, the View Gives Joe the ‘Benefit of the Doubt’ and the New York Times Shuts Down Trump Comparisons

By Daily Mail. Liberal media personalities are dismissing and making excuses for President Joe Biden following the discovery of classified documents at his think tank in Washington, D.C.

These same personalities immediately tore into Donald Trump after it was revealed that he took classified materials from the White House to his residence at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. . .

‘We all know that Trump is a liar and a thief. We know that. So, it’s not that big a jump to say that he obstructed, and he lied,’ The View co-host Joy Behar said during Tuesday’s show.

She urged people, however, not to jump to those same conclusions with Biden, a Democrat.

‘We don’t think Biden is a liar and a thief, so we give him the benefit of the doubt,’ she said. White House Refuses to Address Why It Didn’t Publicly Disclose Biden Classified Documents Sooner

The White House on Wednesday refused to answer questions about why it did not publicly disclose for two months that classified government documents had been found in a private university office in Washington that was used by President Biden.

The documents were discovered on Nov. 2, just six days before the midterm elections, but the matter only became public Monday when uncovered by CBS News.

At a contentious daily press briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stonewalled against a barrage of questions about the delay.

“I’m not going to get into details. I’m not going to get beyond what the president shared yesterday,” Ms. Jean-Pierre said, referring reporters to a statement released by the White House Counsel’s Office on Monday.

Ms. Jean-Pierre insisted the president spoke about the discovery “in detail,” but reporters weren’t having it, pushing back on her repeated refusal to answer questions. (Read more from “White House Refuses to Address Why It Didn’t Publicly Disclose Biden Classified Documents Sooner” HERE)
