Lawmakers Call for Biden to Take Cognitive Test

Dozens of Republican lawmakers are calling for President Biden to take a cognitive test citing a spate of gaffes they say call into question the 79-year-old’s fitness for the job.

Rep. Ronny Jackson, a Texas Republican who served as the presidential physician to former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, led 54 of his colleagues urging Mr. Biden to “submit to a cognitive test immediately.”

“The American people should have absolute confidence in their President, knowing that he or she can perform their duties as Head of State and Commander in Chief,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter to the president. “They deserve full transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

There’s a Serious Problem With the DOJ Investigation Into Hunter Biden

The trail of breadcrumbs that Hunter Biden left goes beyond that of Hansel and Gretel, but no one wants to look into this guy. The crack addict has been a public relations nightmare for his father, yet the liberal media’s shield of protection prevents any accountability.

The shady government access deals have been widely known among some of us since Tony Bobulinski went on record to discuss the 2017 deal that fell through with CEFC China Energy. The Biden family was still compensated for their time, however. This deal involved Joe Biden, “the big guy,” and showed the president lied about not knowing his son’s allegedly corrupt foreign exploits. The Hunter Biden laptop has been a treasure trove of inquiry into potentially felonious activity, but no one wants to touch it for the most part. If Hunter were the son of a Republican, this would be the top story for months.

Mia has combed through that iCloud, a Pandora’s Box of debauchery. While the crack cocaine, hookers, white claws, and M&M stories are fun, the tax evasion probe is real and ongoing. Yet, there’s a serious snag. Delaware’s US Attorney’s Office isn’t big enough to handle the investigation. They lack the resources to investigate all the angles of the case. Hunter Biden and corruption is an ever-growing amoeba, and this office is reportedly in dire need of reinforcements.

The Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office investigating Hunter Biden lacks the wherewithal and resources to adequately probe the dubious financial dealings of the Biden family and their business partners, according to three current or former Department of Justice officials.

“If any single one of the dozens of issues had been alleged about the Bush or Trump families, a special counsel would have been appointed immediately,” said one career official familiar with the probe. “[The Delaware office] needs help. There’s no way it can tackle everything it needs to, even if it tried.” Two other officials also expressed concern about resources available to the investigation, particularly given the political sensitivity and complexity of the underlying issues.

President Biden Reacts to US Economy Entering Recession After Insisting It Wouldn’t Happen

By Fox Business. President Biden reacted to Thursday’s GDP report, saying it is “no surprise that the economy is slowing down” amid inflation, despite saying earlier this week that the United States would not be entering a recession.

The U.S. economy shrank in the spring for the second consecutive quarter, meeting the criteria for a recession as record-high inflation and higher interest rates forced consumers and businesses to pull back on spending.

Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, shrank by 0.9% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from April through June, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of the data on Thursday. Refinitiv economists expected the report to show the economy had expanded by 0.5%.

“Coming off of last year’s historic economic growth – and regaining all the private sector jobs lost during the pandemic crisis – it’s no surprise that the economy is slowing down as the Federal Reserve acts to bring down inflation,” Biden said in a statement Thursday. “But even as we face historic global challenges, we are on the right path and we will come through this transition stronger and more secure.”

Biden Refuses to Take Questions After Recession-Denying Remarks

In his remarks Thursday urging Congress to pass a revived version of his bloated Build Back Better bill, President Joe Biden again denied the existence of a recession just hours after his Commerce Department reported a second consecutive quarter of negative GDP growth — the literal definition of a recession.

“That doesn’t sound like a recession to me,” Biden declared after cherrypicking anecdotal evidence to try and present the image of a strong economy while omitting the serious economic woes his policies have inflicted on Americans. In typical fashion, Biden trotted out of his briefing without taking questions after his quixotic remarks.

Whatever it sounds like to President Biden, the American people know exactly what’s going on and who’s to blame — nearly every poll done in recent weeks shows the president’s approval when it comes to handling the economy at all-time lows.

Equity Agenda Funded by Biden’s Infrastructure Law

A new grant application released by the Department of Energy (DOE) on Wednesday showed President Joe Biden’s trillion-dollar infrastructure law is being used to fund diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs in solar power companies.

The $10 million grant seeks to incentivize the creation of DEI programs in solar power unions and bolster underrepresented minority employment in the solar power industry, according to the grant. The grant originates from funding provided by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which was signed into law in January.

Individual grant recipients will receive up to $1.5 million, the grant states.

Unions are a vital vehicle for the project’s ambitions, the grant states, as funding should “encourage meaningful engagement” and “participation” in labor unions and “underserved minority communities.”

Hostage-Like Video From Joe Biden Is Really Freaking Everybody Out; It’s Worse Than We Initially Knew

By Townhall. . .I covered the disturbingly viral video from President Joe Biden in which he didn’t blink for nearly 20 seconds as he made some digs at former President Donald Trump and blabbered on about how “you can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-cop, you can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy, you can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-American.” Well, as it turns out, there was more footage, as our friends at Twitchy covered, and it contains sloppy cuts.

Kyle Martinsen, who does rapid response for RNC Research, tweeted out such footage later that night, noting he did not edit it, but the White House certainly did.

A major complaint from the video published Tuesday afternoon was that the president didn’t blink, once. His voice also sounded croaky and hoarse though.

While Biden does blink in the raw footage video, his voice remains problematic. It even sounds like he’s slurring his words. “This law does so much more, it saves lives, including yours,” he says at one point. “It’ll help you do your job, but it’s just a start,” he says at another.

The additional footage also gives deeper context to Biden referencing being “pro-cop,” despite how members of his party have supported defunding the police.

Biden Goes 40 Seconds Without Blinking, Raising Health Concerns

By Washington Free Beacon. President Joe Biden turns 80 in November. He recently tested positive for COVID-19, a virus that is disproportionately fatal among individuals over the age of 65. He has already outlived the average life expectancy for American men (75.1) by several years. For these reasons and many others, amateur health experts were alarmed after analyzing video of Biden’s recent address to black law enforcement executives on Monday.

At one point in the video, for example, Biden appeared to speak for at least 40 seconds without blinking his eyes. Biden After Getting Coronavirus: Keep Wearing Masks, Get Vaccinated but You Will Probably Get Infected Anyway

President Joe Biden emerged from coronavirus isolation Wednesday urging Americans to continue wearing masks indoors and getting their vaccine shots.

“My symptoms were mild, recovery was quick, and I’m feeling great,” Biden said proudly.

The president delivered a speech outdoors in the Rose Garden in front of reporters, the first time he has appeared at an in-person event since he first tested positive.

The president repeated his advice to Americans about the importance of wearing masks.

Another Catastrophic Biden Failure: Russia Rolling in Cash Due to Ukraine War, Sanctions

Despite repeated assurances from President Biden and other Western leaders that “the toughest economic sanctions in history” would cripple Russia’s economy and starve its war machine, that hasn’t happened. Russia’s current account, which measures global trade in goods and services, was strong in the second quarter of this year when its trade surplus rose to a record $70.1 billion. The ruble, too, has exhibited remarkable resiliency, ranking as the strongest performing currency so far this year, rising to its highest level against the euro since 2015 and making major gains against the dollar.

What accounts for Putin’s bulging coffers? The simple answer: high commodity prices and Russia’s continued ability to export oil, gas, grain, and even gold to non-Western countries.

The economic picture isn’t as rosy for the countries sanctioning Russia. Europe is struggling to meet its energy needs, driving up inflation and forcing countries at the vanguard of the green movement to backpedal. Germany, for example, whose minister of economic affairs and climate action comes from the Green Party, was forced to reactivate seventeen coal-fired power plants it previously had shut down. President Biden, with inflation sitting at a forty-year high, recently begged Saudi Arabia’s leaders—a regime it had been shunning—to come to the rescue by pumping more crude to help bring down gas prices and ease the inflationary pressure high fuel prices are placing on other goods.

. . . The combination of sanctions and war disrupted energy and grain supplies, creating an economic opportunity that Russia has exploited. Indeed, according to the Helsinki-based Center for Energy and Clean Air, Moscow earned $100 billion in revenue from oil, gas, and coal sales in the first three months of the war alone.

While the Biden administration was drawing down the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to increase available supplies and lower gasoline prices—plunging America’s emergency reserve to its lowest level since the mid-1980s—Russia’s oil exports had bounced back to pre-war levels by May. By Breitbart. Republican officials in the House and Senate ripped into the Biden administration after it attempted to redefine what constitutes a recession while concerns mount about a significant decline in economic activity this year.

On Thursday, ahead of a potentially negative GDP report expected later this week — the annualized economic growth rate shrank by 1.6% in the first quarter of this year and appears to have contracted even more in the second — a White House blog post attempted to redefine the term “recession.”

“While some maintain that two consecutive quarters of falling real GDP constitute a recession, that is neither the official definition nor the way economists evaluate the state of the business cycle,” it reads, concluding that it is “unlikely that the decline in GDP in the first quarter of this year — even if followed by another GDP decline in the second quarter — indicates a recession.”

In addition, White House National Economic Council director Brian Deese claimed that a second consecutive quarter of negative GDP growth was technically “not a recession.”

In response, Republicans took to Twitter to rip the Biden team for seeking to redefine what a recession is.

Biden’s Lame Economic Spin Leaves You Wondering if They Even Want to Do What’s Needed to Turn Things Around

By New York Post. White House efforts to spin away the grim facts on the US economy, rather than actually doing anything about it, are now in overdrive.

Thus, with the Bureau of Economic Analysis likely to report Thursday that the economy shrank again in the second quarter after contracting 1.6% in the first, Team Biden is claiming that doesn’t technically constitute a recession, even though it’s the standard interpretation.

“The technical definition [of a recession] is not two negative quarters,” insisted Biden economist Brian Deese on Monday, citing the National Bureau of Economic Research’s broader characterization: “a significant decline in economic activity that is spread across the economy and that lasts more than a few months.” A White House blog post made a similar argument.

Sorry, but even Biden Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen just acknowledged that two consecutive quarters of declining Gross Domestic Product is what economists consider a recession.

Can there be any better proof that the White House knows the economy stinks than its lame attempt to paint six months of falling GDP as not so terrible? (Or does President Joe Biden think fewer goods and services — which is what falling GDP means — is a good thing?) Experts Weigh In: Could Hunter Biden Be Going to Prison?

Experts said recently it was a possible crime that could result in him being sent to prison.

The report noted Biden was registered as a lobbyist for domestic interests but not under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). . .

Meanwhile, George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley addressed the FARA issue, saying, “recent disclosures of additional foreign contacts has only strengthened what was already a strong case.”

Report: Justice Department Weighs Charging Hunter Biden for Tax, Gun Violations

By Breitbart. Hunter Biden could reportedly be charged by the Justice Department for tax violations and lying to law enforcement about illegally purchasing a firearm, as the probe into President Joe Biden’s son comes to a head.

Trump-appointed U.S. prosecutor David Weiss is deliberating whether to charge Hunter for “making a false statement in connection with Biden’s purchase of a firearm at a time he would have been prohibited from doing so because of his acknowledged struggles with drug addiction,” CNN reported Wednesday.

As Breitbart News reported, Hunter may have lied on paperwork he submitted when purchasing a handgun in 2018 by not disclosing his drug additions. Hunter’s sister-in-law, with whom he had an affair, reportedly took his gun and disposed of it. Hunter’s text messages reveal the Secret Service, the FBI, and state law enforcement likely became involved, but without consequences for the president’s son.

The probe, which has been ongoing for years and debated for months among Justice Department officials, also centers on the Biden family’s foreign business schemes while Joe Biden was vice president. During those years, Hunter routinely met with Joe Biden about 30 times at either the White House or the vice president’s residences at the Naval Observatory, Hunter’s laptop from hell revealed. Biden: If You Don’t Support Banning Assault Weapons, ‘You’re Not On The Side Of Police’

President Joe Biden said Monday that Republicans who voted against banning assault rifles are not on the side of police in America.

Speaking virtually to attendees at the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives conference in Orlando, Florida, Biden said that Republicans who refused to ban so-called “weapons of war” are not telling the truth when they claim to support law enforcement. In particular, Biden called out Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott (R-FL) for refusing to support Democrats’ gun control efforts.

“Being a cop today is a hell of a lot harder than it’s ever been,” Biden said during his speech. “We expect everything of you. We expect you to be drug counselors to people overdosing at a scene; therapists to couples during a violent confrontation; social workers to kids who have been abandoned. Maybe worst of all, we send you out to do your job on the streets flooded with weapons of war.”

“You hear a lot of politicians say about how much they love you, how much they care about you, they’ll do anything for you,” Biden continued. “In the state you’re in today, Governor [Ron] DeSantis, Sen. [Marco] Rubio, Sen. Rick Scott all opposed banning assault weapons, and Senators Scott and Rubio voted against the bipartisan gun safety law that I signed, the first meaningful gun legislation in nearly thirty years, that you supported. To me, it’s simple.
