Biden Administration Cancels All Remaining Student Loan Debt for 560,000 Borrowers

The Biden administration is offering a new round of student loan debt relief for more than half a million borrowers who were students of Corinthian Colleges.

The action will see $5.8 billion in full loan discharges for 560,000 borrowers, marking the single largest loan discharge in the history of the Department of Education, and brings the total student debt relief extended by the administration to $25 billion.

Corinthian operated from 1995 to 2015. In 2013, then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris sued Corinthian before carrying out a full investigation, which found “comprehensive” wrongdoing carried out against students across the nation, including lying to prospective students about graduation and job placement rates. Kathleen Buhle said she finally has “total control over my life” five years after her 24-year marriage with President Joe Biden’s son Hunter ended.

The ex-wife of the man, who is now at the center of an investigation surrounding his laptop, said her marriage was one rocked by addiction, infidelity, and shame, according to excerpts from her book If We Break published Wednesday by People. . .

“One Saturday morning when we had friends visiting, Hunter walked into the kitchen looking as if he hadn’t gone to sleep. I was making pancakes as I watched him pull a bottle of Jack Daniel’s out of the cabinet. ‘Hunter! What are you doing?’ I said. ‘It’s 10 a.m.!’ I don’t think he knew what time it was, and he still seemed drunk. He laughed and put the bottle back. We all stared,” she wrote.

Buhle, who said she was constantly reminded of not actually being a Biden, threw out Hunter after coming to terms with his loop of anger and admission to persistent cheating.

“I found a credit card charge for $10,000 at a hot tub store in Los Angeles,” Buhle wrote. “I found hundreds at liquor stores and strip clubs. The whole time, he told me he was healthy and sober — and I was crazy. I continually told him that I was the one person actually trying to get him sober. It became my own kind of addiction. Biden Opens U.S. Borders to 44,000 Ukrainians

President Joe Biden has opened the United States’ borders to about 44,000 Ukrainians in over two months — a foreign population exceeding Burlington, Vermont’s resident population.

Since late March, Biden has welcomed about 22,000 Ukrainians at the U.S.-Mexico border, the latest Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data reveals. As Breitbart News exclusively reported, the administration has been releasing hundreds of Ukrainians into American communities via the San Ysidro Port of Entry in San Diego, California.

As part of that process, Ukrainians fly to Tijuana, Mexico, and then line up every day at the Port of Entry, where they are briefly detained and released into the U.S. interior. White House Promises to Check Whether Biden Lied About His Annapolis Appointment

Even the White House said it wasn’t sure whether President Biden lied last week when he told graduates at the U.S. Naval Academy that he turned down an appointment to Annapolis in 1965.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday that she “did not hear that part” of Mr. Biden‘s commencement speech. She promised a reporter that she would check on the accuracy of the president’s claim.

On Friday, Mr. Biden told graduates in Annapolis, “I was appointed to the Academy in 1965 by a senator who I was running against in 1972.”

But Mr. Biden graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965, so an academy appointment at that stage of his life would have been very unlikely.

This Is Why Jill and Joe Biden Argue Over Text

First lady Jill and President Joe Biden argue over text messages to escape earshot of the Secret Service, Mrs. Biden told Harper’s Bazaar’s June/July issue.

The couple has termed their arguments over text as “fexting” in which they regularly spend time “hashing out their occasional spats over text” to “avoid fighting in front of the Secret Service,” the first lady revealed.

Jill Biden also indicated Joe Biden is not uncomfortable arguing over text because “there will be a record of that.”

“Joe said, ‘You realize that’s going to go down in history. There will be a record of that,’” she told the magazine about information that is not suitable (NSFW) for work.

“I won’t tell you what I called him that time,” Mrs. Biden noted.

The president recalled visiting a trauma hospital in New York, where he explained doctors showed him X-rays of gunshot wounds that were caused by different firearms.

“They said a .22-caliber bullet will lodge in the lung, and we can probably get it out — may be able to get it and save the life,” Biden told reporters outside of the White House. “A 9mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.”

He went on to claim “there’s simply no rational basis for [high-caliber weapons] in terms of thinking about self-protection, hunting.”

Biden made the comments while speaking to reporters about the aftermath of the horrific attack at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

“They said a .22-caliber bullet will lodge in the lung, and we can probably get it out — may be able to get it and save the life. A 9mm bullet blows the lung out of the body,” Biden said about a conversation he claimed to have with doctors.

“So, the idea of these high-caliber weapons is, uh, there’s simply no rational basis for it in terms of self-protection, hunting. Remember, the Constitution was never absolute,” he added.

Not Everyone Is Happy About Biden’s Visit to Uvalde

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden head to Uvalde, Texas to meet with a grief-stricken community following the deadly elementary school shooting that left 19 kids and two adults dead.

But not everyone in the predominantly conservative town is thrilled about his visit.

According to Stella Chavez, an immigrations and demographics reporter for KERA News, told CNN’S Brian Stetler that there is “a lot of outrage” over Biden’s visit.

“I think it depends on who you ask…I think, for the most part, the families who were affected want to focus on their loved ones who were killed. And I think having the leader of our country come here and express, you know, his condolences is important to them. Biden ordered a 50-million-barrel SPR release in November, a 30-million-barrel release on March 1 and a 180-million-barrel release on March 31, saying the “historic” actions would ease pressure felt by Americans at the pump. But marketplace and government data analyzed by The Daily Caller News Foundation paint a different picture.

On Tuesday, the average price of gasoline reached an all-time high of $4.59 per gallon, according to AAA data, while domestic oil prices remained above $110 a barrel, far higher than their 2015-2021 average of $53.15 per barrel and 2021 average of $68.14 a barrel, Federal Reserve data showed. Biden Approval Falls Below Every Modern President

President Joe Biden finally did it. The lackluster leader’s approval rating has fallen below every president of the modern era at this stage of their term.

Citing approval polling dating back to Harry S. Truman in 1945, FiveThirtyEight said that no president has been below, or even equal to, Biden’s average of 40.9% on Day 490 of their presidency.

Former Presidents Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Gerald Ford had lower average approval ratings at some stage early in their presidencies, but Biden has caught up, and today’s average was the first for which he was below all presidents since Truman, a potentially troubling trend as Democrats ready for the midterm elections.

‘Second Amendment Is Not Absolute’: Biden Demands More Gun Control

President Joe Biden called for stricter gun control legislation during his Wednesday address, claiming the Second Amendment allows for limitations on firearm ownership.

The president made the remarks alongside Vice President Kamala Harris in the aftermath of the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas, which killed 19 children and 2 teachers. He announced his future visit to Texas alongside First Lady Jill Biden.

“As a nation, we must all be there for them. Everyone. And we must ask when in God’s name will we do what needs to be done to if not completely stop, fundamentally change the amount of the carnage that goes on in this country,” Biden said. “I’m sick and tired. I’m just sick and tired of what’s going on and continues to go on.”

He touted his push to pass “common sense gun reforms” while serving as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and as vice president, urging for these gun control laws to pass in order to have “a significant impact” on the number of tragedies occurring throughout the country.

“While they clearly will not prevent every tragedy, we know certain ones will have significant impact and have no negative impact on the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment is not absolute. When it was passed you couldn’t own a cannon, you couldn’t own certain kinds of weapons. There’s always been limitations. These actions we’ve taken before, they save lives and they can do it again. The idea that an 18-year-old can walk into a store and buy weapons of war designed and marketed to kill is I think just wrong.
