By Townhall. Speaking from the Roosevelt Room of the White House Tuesday night, President Joe Biden addressed the horrific shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. An 18-year-old man stormed the school, killing 18 children and three adults.

During his remarks, Biden didn’t use the time to honor the victims and their families. Instead, he rehashed old jokes about deer wearing kevlar and ranted while reading the teleprompter.

He also claimed it was time for Congress to “do something,” but did not say what specific law would have prevented the killer from carrying out his heinous crimes. He blamed the situation on “the gun lobby.”

Who Is the Texas School Shooter? What We Know

By Fox News. Salvador Ramos was identified as the shooter who opened fire in Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday. The 18-year-old shot and killed at least 19 students and two teachers, Fox News confirmed.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott identified Ramos as the shooter and said the Uvalde local entered the school grounds and proceeded to open fire. Abbott also said the shooter is dead and is believed to have acted alone.

Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told Fox News that during the shooting, Ramos became barricaded inside the elementary school. An agent with the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC), is believed to have shot and killed the suspected gunman. Two officers were shot and wounded on scene but were expected to survive. ‘God Willing’: Biden Calls Gas Price Crisis Moment of ‘Incredible Transition’ Away From Oil and Gas

By The Blaze. President Joe Biden appeared to celebrate the gas price crisis on Monday as a moment of “incredible transition” away from a reliance on fossil fuels.

During a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Tokyo, a reporter asked Biden whether Americans should prepare for an economic recession.

When Biden said Americans should not worry about a recession, he claimed his administration has made “significant progress” toward improving the economy before repeating talking points about “Putin’s tax” (referring to record-high gas prices) and the war in Ukraine worsening domestic problems. . .

The Biden administration has repeatedly tried to reframe the energy crisis in positive light. It believes record-high prices at the gas pump (another new record was set on Monday) will encourage Americans to abandon their internal combustion engines for electric vehicles, all in the name of climate change. $6’s a Good Thing? Pain at Pump Part of ‘Incredible Transition’ According to Biden

By New York Post. Out of touch as ever, President Biden celebrated record-high gas prices Monday, gushing that the pump pain was part of “an incredible transition” of the US economy away from fossil fuels.

“[When] it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” Biden said during a press conference in Japan following his meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

The president then insisted that his administration’s actions, rather than increasing the price of gas, had actually been able to “keep it from getting worse — and it’s bad.”

Only then did Biden pay lip service to millions of Americans who have found themselves spending thousands of extra dollars to fuel up their vehicles.

“The price of gas at the pump is something that I told you — you heard me say before — it would be a matter of great discussion at my kitchen table when I was a kid growing up,” Biden said before admitting, “It’s affecting a lot of families.” (Read more from “$6’s a Good Thing? Ex-Biden Thought Police Chief Throws a Tantrum That Exposes DHS’ True Goal (VIDEO)

This was utterly predictable. No, I’m not talking about Nina Jankowicz’s resignation from the Department of Homeland Security’s thought police. I thought she would stay because the liberal media would have happily extended her plenty of political cover. Instead, the DHS bungled the rollout of their Disinformation Governance Board to the point where nothing could be salvaged. Even Janky’s allies were left with little to no recourse to mount a defense for her. The talking points were either wrong or non-existent. DHS also didn’t do itself any favors with its “trust us, this isn’t like the Ministry of Truth” pivot. Don’t these people know—the American people are always distrustful of government in their own way?

It’s also not a great look when DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was caught being unaware that the woman he hired had a series of cringeworthy and inaccurate TikTok videos about disinformation. Janky is a Russian collusion peddler and thought the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian PSYOP. The woman tasked with policing disinformation was herself a bastion of…disinformation. I don’t need to remind you of this embarrassing fiasco that engulfed the DHS. So, Janky left, and the thought police squad was put on hold for now. It could come back.

That didn’t stop this woman from going on the liberal media circuit to say she was derailed by right-wing disinformation. The tantrum that occurred afterward is the best part because it exposes what this whole thought police was set up for, which is to help Democrats. You all know that—and I guess since the cat is out of the bag—they’re admitting to it as well on some level.

GOP Rubber Stamps Joe Biden’s $900M for More Immigration From Ukraine

House and Senate Republicans who voted to give $40 billion in additional American taxpayer funding to Ukraine also helped rubber stamp $900 million to fund President Joe Biden’s mass immigration priorities.

Late last week, only 57 House Republicans and 11 Senate Republicans voted in opposition to Biden’s $40 billion in additional Ukraine aid. That boondoggle package includes $900 million to fund more immigration from Ukraine even as thousands of Ukrainians pile up at the southern border to get into the U.S.

As part of those millions in funds, Ukrainians will be provided with medical services, housing money, and “culturally and linguistically appropriate services.”

The package states:

For an additional amount for ‘‘Refugee and Entrant Assistance’’, $900,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2023, for carrying out refugee and entrant assistance activities in support of citizens or nationals of Ukraine, or a person who last habitually resided in Ukraine, for whom such refugee and entrant assistance activities are authorized: Provided, That amounts made available under this heading in this Act may be used for grants or contracts with qualified organizations, including nonprofit entities, to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services, including wraparound services, housing assistance, medical assistance, legal assistance, and case management assistance. Where’s Joe? Biden Has Now Gone 100 Days Without Giving a Media Interview

President Joe Biden on Friday reached a milestone not seen in the recent history of the presidency — 100 consecutive days without conducting a sit-down interview with the media.

The president was last interviewed by a member of the press on Feb. 10, when NBC’s Lester Holt spoke to him ahead of Super Bowl LVI. Since then, Biden has held press conferences and taken questions from individual reporters but has not conducted any extended interviews.

The long gap contradicts Biden’s promises to run a transparent administration, Republican National Committee spokeswoman Emma Vaughn said.

“One hundred days without a press interview underscores how little Biden cares to answer for struggling Americans seeking solutions to the crises he created,” Vaughn said. “This milestone is yet another pitiful mark on Biden’s long list of failures.”

Biden’s interview frequency falls short of his predecessors, with just 23 conducted since taking office. At this point in their tenures, President Donald Trump had taken part in 95 interviews, while President Barack Obama reached a scorching 187 — more than eight times as many as Biden. If Biden Were Trying to Destroy America on Purpose, He’d Do Nothing Differently

Many have watched Joe Biden’s feckless performance over the past 18 months and concluded he’s grossly incompetent, and so is the party that decided to put him in the White House. Yet the incompetence rises to such a level that it prompts a question: If Biden were in fact actively attempting to destroy the United States, would he be governing much differently?

Just consider the last two years of the devastating worldwide lockdowns Communist China unleashed, first with a novel virus and then in its totalitarian response that the rest of the world echoed. Could it be mere incompetence, or does it rise to the level of actual malice, to double down on transferring the United States’s soft and hard power to China following that obvious of an episode?

Compound the devastating, China-enabling lockdown response Democrats demanded with U.S. officials fomenting war in Eastern Europe by foolishly suggesting Ukraine join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The resulting war is not only undermining potential U.S. responses to its top adversary, China, but also needlessly punishing Americans with higher energy and food prices.

Further compound that foolish rush to expand rather than end a war that lacks significant U.S. strategic interests with the deliberate destruction of U.S. energy independence and prosperity. While telling Americans that he’s not at all choking U.S. energy production, Biden is in fact choking U.S. energy production. He blames these malevolent decisions on Vladimir Putin, while actually enabling Putin’s power by taking away American energy as an alternative to Russian energy on world markets. NEW BIDEN RECORD: The Average U.S. Gas Price Just Passed $4.50 per Gallon

Gas prices for diesel and regular unleaded reached new records on Tuesday as they continue an upward trajectory before Memorial Day, hitting unseen highs near daily.

According to AAA’s gas price tracker, the average cost for a gallon of regular is running at $4.52 nationwide, and diesel at $5.57. Gas prices are highest in California, where residents are now paying an average of more than $6 per gallon statewide. Kansas residents are seeing the cheapest gas at $4 per gallon.

The record-breaking prices will soon cause ripple effects across the economy, with spikes in transportation and manufacturing costs being passed onto consumers who are already battling record inflation. According to the Department of Labor, April’s inflation numbers revealed the highest year-over-year increase in four decades, rising 8.3 percent last month compared to the same time last year.

Despite the rising prices upending the nation’s pandemic recovery, President Joe Biden has only doubled down on his anti-American-energy agenda with cancellations of new oil and gas leases to keep domestic production low. Data from the Department of Commerce published in April revealed that the U.S. economy experienced negative GDP growth in the first quarter, potentially marking the first stages of a recession after GDP remained positive since mid-2020. False Support: Audit Finds Half of Joe Biden’s Twitter Followers Aren’t Real

At least half of President Biden’s 22.2 million Twitter followers are bogus, a new audit revealed.

The audit, which was done for the social media giant by software firm SparkToro, found that 49.3% of the president’s followers are “fake followers,” according to Newsweek.

SparkToro has defined “fake followers” as “accounts that are unreachable and will not see the account’s tweets (either because they’re spam, bots, propaganda, etc. or because they’re no longer active on Twitter).”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is currently attempting to buy Twitter, has expressed concern over the growing number of fake accounts and proposed a potential crackdown on the sham accounts.

GOP Warning: Threat of Chinese Invasion of Taiwan at All-Time High

The threat of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan “remains unabated, if not heightened” as a result of the Biden administration’s “slow, manipulatable, and self-defeatist posture” toward the war in Ukraine, according to a group of Republican foreign policy leaders in Congress who are pressing the White House to confront Beijing.

“We are concerned that Beijing may be learning different lessons from the ongoing crisis [in Ukraine], and the risk of a People’s Liberation Army assault on Taiwan remains unabated, if not heightened,” eight Republicans, including those on the House Armed Services Committee, wrote to President Joe Biden on Tuesday, according to a copy of the missive obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. “To proactively deter China from attempting an invasion of Taiwan, we call on your administration to commit unequivocally and publicly to uphold Taiwan’s security and the intent of the United States to act in the event of Chinese military aggression against the island.”

The Biden administration has sent mixed messages on Taiwan. The president committed to defending the island’s sovereignty from a Chinese attack before having his staff reverse course on that stance. China, like Russia, watched the Biden administration fumble through Afghanistan—abandoning allies in the country and millions of dollars in military equipment—and believes American military power across the globe is waning. The bungled evacuation fostered uncertainty among allies and stoked confidence in adversaries, the lawmakers said. Now, with Russia waging a war in Ukraine, the Biden administration has flip-flopped on sanctions, slowed military aid to Ukraine, and provided critical economic lifelines to Russian president Vladimir Putin, the lawmakers said.

“The way your administration is handling the Russian invasion of Ukraine has immense repercussions on Taiwan’s security,” wrote the lawmakers, led by Rep. Joke of a President: Foreign Diplomats at D.C. Summit Caught on Video Laughing at Biden

Two Vietnamese officials were caught on video mocking U.S. President Joe Biden during the weekend summit meeting between the United States and the Association for Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Washingon, D.C.

The video reportedly became a viral sensation before it was removed from the U.S. State Department’s YouTube channel.

Radio Free Asia (RFA) described the incident on Monday:

According to a series of tweets about the incident by Southeast Asia analyst Nguyen Phuong Linh, the video shows the Vietnamese delegation laughing that U.S. President Joe Biden told Prime Minister Chinh that he could “not trust Russia.” Chinh also describes the meeting with Biden as “straightforward and fair and that Vietnam isn’t afraid of anyone,” after which the Vietnamese ambassador to the U.S., Nguyen Quoc Dzung, said they “put [Biden] into checkmate.”

Minister of Public Security To Lam is also seen praising the former deputy national security adviser during the Trump administration, Matthew Pottinger, for being young and smart and having a wife who was born in Vietnam.
