Industry Disputes Interior’s Rationale for Canceling AK Offshore Lease Sale

Industry groups and some Republicans are disputing the Biden administration’s justification for pulling the plug on the offshore lease sale in Alaska’s Cook Inlet, which it said was canceled “due to lack of industry interest.”

Both have argued energy companies and other parties did want the sale to move forward and that the only way to gauge interest in the sale properly would have been to hold it and allow energy companies to offer bids.

The Interior Department confirmed late Wednesday it would not move forward with work on three offshore lease sales, one for acreage in Cook Inlet and two off the Gulf Coast, the last outstanding sales outlined in the current five-year offshore leasing program.

Kara Moriarty, president and CEO of the Alaska Oil and Gas Association, said the administration’s reasoning on Cook Inlet was “disingenuous” and pointed to comments she filed with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management in December in which she expressed her organization’s support for the sale.

“We certainly said, ‘Hey, we support having a lease sale move forward,’ and as a trade association, we don’t put out any comments unless, obviously, the majority of our members support that,” she told the Washington Examiner. Biden’s FDA Has Reportedly Not Proven Any Babies Died From Baby Formula

President Joe Biden’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) may have directly contributed to the ongoing nationwide baby formula shortage without proving any babies died from baby formula.

The FDA announced Feb. 17 that a major Abbott Nutrition plant in Michigan, responsible for producing massive quantities of baby formula, was under investigation for links to bacterial outbreaks, including salmonella. The agency helped Abbott initiate a recall of its baby formula. Yet neither the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) nor the FDA have been able to prove that any babies got sick from Abbott’s formula, according to The Wall Street Journal.

There were two types of infections initially reported to the FDA, and linked back to the Abbott facility: Cronobacter sakazakii and salmonella. FDA inspectors found bacteria at the Abbott plant, but the company has strongly denied that it’s actually responsible for the reported infections, according to the outlet.

The company claims the evidence is on their side. The places at the facility where FDA inspectors found bacteria were not in contact with formula products, and genetic tests performed by the CDC determined that the cronobacter strains in the facility did not match those which caused the infections, according to The WSJ, citing Abbott. Angry Joe Starts Yelling About Food Lines, ‘Great MAGA King’ During Speech

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden got angry during a speech to unions on Wednesday, yelling about the long lines of people trying to get food during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Remember those long lines you’d see in a television and people lining up in all kinds of vehicles just to get a box of food in their trunk? How quickly they forget people were hurting,” Biden said, raising his voice.

He got angry at the Republican Party, accusing them of not caring about Americans who were still struggling.

“And what did the MAGA crowd want to do? Forget it. Forget it,” Biden said. . .

Biden calls Trump ‘great MAGA king’, claims backers unmoved by food lines

By New York Post. President Biden nicknamed his predecessor Donald Trump the “great MAGA king” Wednesday before claiming that “the MAGA crowd” downplayed massive food lines during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Biden took an increasingly aggressive tone attacking Trump as he sought to reframe the November midterm elections, which Republicans are favored to win in part due to soaring inflation they blame on Biden’s policies and government spending.

“My Republican colleagues said these programs to help the working class and middle class people, that’s actually — that’s why we have inflation. They’re dead wrong. Under my predecessor, the great MAGA king, the deficit increased every single year he was president,” Biden said in a speech to Chicago electrical union members.

At one point, Biden abruptly increased his volume to a near-shout and claimed that Trump adherents were indifferent to economic suffering in 2020 — despite the fact that Trump unilaterally extended some relief programs via executive order with Congress gridlocked after initial aid passed with overwhelming Republican support.

And what did the MAGA crowd want to do? Forget it. Forget it,” Biden claimed. “My God, this is the United States of America. Biden OKs Transfer of More Trump Records to Jan. 6 Committee

President Joe Biden authorized the National Archives and Records Administration to turn over a trove of records from the Trump administration to the House committee investigating the Capitol riot.

The White House declined to assert executive privilege over an eighth batch of documents the Jan. 6 panel requested in a letter to the National Archives, the Washington Post reported. It is unclear what kinds of documents were included in the recent trove.

“As to the remaining prioritized records, President Biden has considered the former president’s claims, and I have engaged in consultations with the Office of Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice. The President has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified,” White House counsel Dana Remus wrote in the letter.

Biden Blames Putin Again

President Joe Biden blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday for the latest spike in gas prices, suggesting the foreign leader had enacted a “gas tax” on America by invading Ukraine.

Biden spoke about how in 2021, the used car market was artificially high because of a shortage of available computer chips.

“This year we have a similar problem, but it’s because of energy because of Putin’s gas tax,” he said, describing the tax as “the gas tax of him causing such a disruption in oil markets around the world.”

Jill Biden made an unannounced trip to Ukraine on Mother’s Day to meet with first lady Olena Zelenska in a show of support for the country and its people.

“I wanted to come on Mother’s Day,” the U.S. first lady said. “I thought it was important to show the Ukrainian people that this war has to stop and this war has been brutal and that the people of the United States stand with the people of Ukraine. . .

Meanwhile, back in the U.S., Biden had a phone call with G7 leaders and then played golf with his brother.

President Joe Biden’s new press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has a history of calling out America’s racism throughout her career in politics and activism.

“I just think that America has a really big problem with race. And it’s very real and we have yet to deal with it,” he said in a PBS interview with Bonnie Erbé in 2019.

After former President Donald Trump won in 2016, Jean-Pierre wrote her memoirs and spoke about the problems of racism in America during her book tour.

“I always say, if you’re not white, male, straight, or wealthy you’re under attack, I mean there is a target on your back,” she said.

Before working for Biden. Jean-Pierre embraced the more activist side of politics by taking a job at Moveon.org after a history of working with some of America’s most famous Democrats. Senator: Biden Is ‘Threatening the Lives of These Justices’

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) accused President Joe Biden of unleashing an angry “mob” by refusing to condemn people protesting outside the homes of Supreme Court justices.

Cruz, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, argued the protests outside of Supreme Court justices’ homes are endangering the lives of the justices while the Left continues to embrace the tactic. People have gathered outside of the Supreme Court and around the country this week to protest the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade, indicated in a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion last week.

“It was shameful that the White House refused to condemn violent protesters threatening the families of the Supreme Court,” Cruz told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo on Sunday. “Joe Biden used to be chairman of the Judiciary Committee. Joe Biden knows it’s disgraceful. He’s literally threatening the lives of these justices by the mob they’re unleashing.”

New Biden Title IX Order Will Help Schools Push Transgenderism on Your Kids Behind Your Back

The Biden administration is set to issue a new interpretation of Title IX that embraces transgender ideology, going even further than President Obama did. The new rule will redefine “sex” under Title IX to include “gender identity.” This is not only contrary to what Congress clearly intended, it will also harm children and violate parental rights.

Redefining the word “sex” in Title IX in the new Biden administration rule will pressure schools to mislead emotionally distressed children into thinking they can change their sex. Schools could face investigation if they do not address students who are confused about their sex with pronouns and names that correspond to the opposite sex or to the concept of being “non-binary.”

It could even mandate “gender support plans,” which challenge the truth that we are born male and female, and erroneously suggest that a doctor “assigns” a child’s sex after the child is born. Schools often develop these plans without informing parents or asking for their consent. Some schools even lie to parents about the existence of these plans. The implementation of such plans in schools from coast-to-coast is directly undermining the vital role that parents play in guiding children’s education and health care decisions.

In Virginia, Harrisonburg City Public Schools tell staff to disregard and even mislead parents when teachers and staff are treating and addressing their child as though he or she were the opposite sex. In Wisconsin, one school district implemented a “gender support plan” that deceives parents, while another school district openly defied parents’ express wishes.

In California, schools encourage children to “secretly transition” and deliberately interfere with the parent-child relationship, sometimes with devastating consequences. Abigail Martinez, a California mom, says a Los Angeles school convinced her daughter Yaeli to identify as a boy named Andrew and advocated that she be removed from her mother’s home in order to facilitate her use of cross-sex hormones. Joe Biden Likely to Avoid IRS Audit That Could’ve Revealed if He Made Money From Hunter’s Deals; Biden Sued for ‘Colluding’ With Big Tech

President Biden is likely to avoid an audit that could reveal whether he made money from his son Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings — because the Internal Revenue Service has rejected a whistleblower complaint that alleged he owes at least $127,000 in taxes, The Post has learned.

The IRS allows people to inform on fellow taxpayers and win a slice of the proceeds — prompting Chris Jacobs, a former Republican staffer on Capitol Hill, to submit complaints against Biden and his accountant, though he said he didn’t want any financial reward.

Jacobs shared with The Post a reply from the IRS titled “denial” that explained that the government didn’t use his information.

Tax law expert Bob Willens, who teaches at Columbia University’s business school, said the rejection means Biden is likely to run out a three-year statute of limitations, meaning Republican claims that Biden owes up to $500,000 in taxes are unlikely to be resolved.

Biden Sued for ‘Colluding’ With Big Tech to Suppress Free Speech on Hunter Laptop, COVID: Report

By New York Post. Two Republican-led states have reportedly filed a lawsuit against President Joe Biden and other top administration officials, alleging they “pressured and colluded” with Big Tech companies to squash The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story and censor information related to COVID-19’s lab origins.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, accuses top government officials of conspiring to suppress information with social media giants Meta, Twitter and YouTube “under the guise of combating misinformation,” Fox News reported.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and Nina Jankowicz — the head of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) new and controversial “Disinformation Governance Board” were among the other top officials and federal agencies named as defendants in the suit, which was filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
