Biden Administration To Impose ‘Hard-Hitting Sanctions’ on Cuban Officials

President Joe Biden intends to impose “hard-hitting sanctions” on the Cuban officials responsible for the repression of widespread protests against the regime, according to a senior State Department official.

“We are going to focus on applying hard-hitting sanctions on regime officials responsible for the brutal crackdown,” State Department acting Assistant Secretary Julie Chung tweeted Wednesday. “Cuban officials responsible for violence, repression, & human rights violations against peaceful protestors in Cuba must be held accountable.”

Chung, who is leading the Western Hemisphere Affairs bureau in the absence of a political appointee, aired that threat while outlining a multifaceted plan to respond to the political uproar on the island. Cuban officials have accused the United States of orchestrating the protests, which featured thousands of Cubans denouncing the regime’s brutality and its mishandling of economic and public health crises.

Homeowner Displaying Anti-Biden Signs Faces Daily $250 Fines

A New Jersey woman who displayed profanity-laden signs critical of President Joe Biden was ordered by a judge to remove them or face monetary penalties.

Roselle Park Municipal Court Judge Gary Bundy ordered homeowner Patricia Dilascio on Thursday to remove the flags within a week or be subject to $250-per-day fines, though the signs belong to her daughter, Andrea Dick.

The display features the phrases “F*** Biden,” “Joe Biden Sucks,” “Socialism Sucks, Biden Blows,” and “Don’t Blame Me I Voted For Trump,” among others.

“This is not a case about politics. It is a case, pure and simple, about language,” Bundy said, according to NJ.com. “This ordinance does not restrict political speech. Neither this town or its laws may abridge or eliminate Ms. Dilascio’s freedom of speech. However, freedom of speech is not simply an absolute right. MASTER OF MISINFORMATION: Joe Biden’s Worst Lies

. . .[Joe] Biden has been assisted by deliberate misinformation by social media companies, who suppressed the (true) story of Hunter Biden’s laptop, and he has also produced misinformation, for political advantage, that has damaged the country.

1. Misinformation about neo-Nazis. Biden launched his presidential campaign in April 2019 by claiming that President Donald Trump had referred to neo-Nazis and white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia, as “very fine people.” In fact, Trump had said they should be “condemned totally.” Biden did not invent the lie, but by repeating it, he convinced many Americans that their president was a Nazi sympathizer, and stoked racial tensions that fed nationwide unrest.

2. Misinformation about the coronavirus vaccine. In August 2020, then-candidate Biden told Americans they could not trust a vaccine that was being produced by Trump’s Operation Warp Speed. “It’s not likely to go through all the tests and the trials that are needed to be done,” Biden said, slandering the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He also said Trump was “moving it quicker than the scientists think it should be moved,” falsely claiming the authority of science.

3. Misinformation about officer-involved shootings. When police shot Jacob Blake Jr. in Kenosha last August, Biden called Blake “a victim of excessive force” and said that “the officers must be held accountable.” In fact, Blake was armed with a knife; had fought with officers; and was wanted on an outstanding warrant for sexual assault. A subsequent investigation exonerated the officers. Biden’s lie fueled outrage that had already exploded into riots on Kenosha’s streets.

4. Misinformation about Antifa and riots. As violent radicals affiliated with the Antifa movement attacked a federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon, for several months, firing incendiary devices and shooting laser beams at federal law enforcement officers, Biden claimed that the feds were “brutally attacking peaceful protesters.” His demonstrably false claim gave political cover to the radicals, who continued their destruction — in Portland, Kenosha, and elsewhere.

Facebook Slams Biden Admin Criticism, Says They Are ‘Looking For Scapegoats’ After Missing Vaccination Goal

Facebook called out President Joe Biden and top administration officials for asserting that social media companies are part of the problem when it comes to coronavirus misinformation circulating on their platforms, with the tech giant alleging that the White House was “looking for scapegoats for missing their vaccine goals.”

Tension rose between the Biden administration and social media companies after Biden told reporters Friday that Facebook and other platforms were “killing people” by not restricting content considered to be vaccine misinformation.

“We will not be distracted by accusations which aren’t supported by the facts,” Facebook spokesperson Dani Lever said in a statement.

WH Doubles Down on Its Criticism of Facebook Following Biden’s ‘Killing’ Remarks

The White House isn’t backing down from its harsh criticism of Facebook after President Biden on Friday accused the social media giant of “killing people” with misinformation about coronavirus vaccinations.

A Biden administration source revealed to Fox News on Saturday that the very public callout of Facebook followed months of frustration with the platform for failing to stamp out “dangerous” information about the vaccinations that have spread online.

The White House has been seeking help from Facebook and other social media sites since February on stopping misinformation from going viral, such as the myth that getting the shot will cause infertility.

While Facebook has made positive public statements on how they’ve partnered with the government and taken aggressive action to curb vaccine misinformation, the White House believes that the Big Tech company has fallen short.

“They’ve been withholding information on what the rules are, what they have put in place to prevent dangerous misinformation from spreading [and] how they measure whether it’s working,” a Biden administration official told Fox News. Report: Putin Extends Allied Hand to Biden as He ‘Offers Russian Bases to Spy on Taliban’

The offer comes after Moscow warned Washington last week against trying to establish its own military bases in former Soviet countries which neighbour Afghanistan. The US withdrawal has led to a resurgence in the Taliban, which continues to rout government troops in its advance towards the capital, Kabul. The Islamist group claims to control up to 85 percent of the country. . .

Russia also has a large Muslim population and has, in recent years, been battling the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, particularly in the Caucasus.

Sources told newspaper the Kommersant that Mr Putin had offered the use of Russian bases in both Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan for intelligence gathering at the summit in Geneva last month.

Censored by the White House: Outrage Erupts Over Biden Admin Regularly ‘Flagging’ Facebook Posts

Critics roundly condemned the White House after press secretary Jen Psaki revealed the Biden administration is working with Facebook to flag “problematic” posts that “spread disinformation” on COVID-19.

On Thursday, Psaki was asked a question regarding the Biden administration’s request for tech companies to be more “aggressive” when policing what they referred to as “misinformation.” Psaki revealed that the White House is “in regular touch with social media platforms” to handle it. . .

While referencing the team’s actions, Psaki also revealed that they are “flagging” posts on Facebook as part of their efforts.

“Psaki says the White House has been flagging ‘problematic posts’ on Facebook they believe are misinformation about Wuhan coronavirus. Reminder: Fauci worked with Facebook to ban the lab leak theory, which is factual, for more than a year,” Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich tweeted.

Go Away: Biden’s ‘Door-to-Door’ Hunt For Unvaccinated Rejected

President Joe Biden’s plan to have teams go door-to-door to urge those unvaccinated for COVID-19 to get the shot is being rejected by the public even before it begins.

By a 53%-37% margin, likely voters consider the aggressive tactic to be “a bad idea.”

In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, only Democrats and liberals favor the plan. Some 63% of liberals like it, as opposed to 22% of conservatives.

White House Announces ‘Operation Allies Refuge’ To Evacuate Afghans Who Helped U.S.

The Biden administration on Wednesday announced plans to evacuate Afghanistan citizens who assisted US troops in fighting the Taliban, dubbing the mission Operation Allies Refuge.

Flights out of the war-torn country will begin at the end of July ahead of the final withdrawal of US troops by Aug. 31.

A senior administration official said “the United States is launching Operation Allies Refuge to support relocation flights for interested and eligible Afghan nationals and their families who have supported the United States and our partners in Afghanistan.”

House Republicans Demand Answers About Biden Family ‘Cash-Grab’

A dozen Republican members of Congress demanded Wednesday that the White House turn over information related to the business interests of President Biden’s family in order to “understand the extent of the Biden family’s use of its connection to the President to enrich itself.”

The letter to White House Counsel Dana Remus from the members of the House Oversight Committee seeks information on trips then-Vice President Biden took with son Hunter to China in 2013 and Mexico in 2016. It also asks for a list of “all past and ongoing foreign business interests and past and ongoing foreign relations for members of the Biden family,” as well as all “documents and communications regarding Hunter Biden’s artwork.“

The impetus for the letter, which was first obtained by Fox News, appears to be an upcoming exhibition of 15 of Hunter Biden’s paintings at galleries in Los Angeles and New York City later this year. Prices for the art will range from $75,000 for works on paper to $500,000 for the larger canvases. . .
