Former Democrat State Senator Accuses Biden of Sexual Harassment

By Daily Wire. Former Nevada Democrat state Sen. Lucy Flores accused former Vice President Joe Biden of sexual misconduct in a piece she wrote about a 2014 encounter she had with him that left her “mortified,” saying she had “never experienced anything so blatantly inappropriate and unnerving before.”

Flores, a former member of Bernie Sanders’ political group Our Revolution, says that the incident happened as she was about to go on for a rally just days before the upcoming elections were held.

“Just before the speeches, we were ushered to the side of the stage where we were lined up by order of introduction,” Flores wrote. “As I was taking deep breaths and preparing myself to make my case to the crowd, I felt two hands on my shoulders. I froze. ‘Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?'”

“I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified,” Flores continued. “He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. … I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me.” . . .

“Imagine you’re at work and a male colleague who you have no personal relationship with approaches you from behind, smells your hair, and kisses you on the head,” Flores continued. “Now imagine it’s the CEO of the company. If Biden and I worked together in a traditional office, I would have complained to the HR department, but on the campaign trail, there’s no clear path for what to do when a powerful man crosses the line.”

An Awkward Kiss Changed How I Saw Joe Biden

By The Cut. I found my way to the holding room for the speakers, where everyone was chatting, taking photos, and getting ready to speak to the hundreds of voters in the audience. Just before the speeches, we were ushered to the side of the stage where we were lined up by order of introduction. As I was taking deep breaths and preparing myself to make my case to the crowd, I felt two hands on my shoulders. I froze. “Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?”

I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, “I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it. And also, what in the actual f***? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?” He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. There is a Spanish saying, “tragame tierra,” it means, “earth, swallow me whole.” I couldn’t move and I couldn’t say anything. I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me. My name was called and I was never happier to get on stage in front of an audience. . .

Our strange interaction happened during a pivotal moment in my political career. I’d spent months raising money, talking to voters, and securing endorsements. Biden came to Nevada to speak to my leadership and my potential to be second-in-command — an important role he knew firsthand. But he stopped treating me like a peer the moment he touched me. Even if his behavior wasn’t violent or sexual, it was demeaning and disrespectful. I wasn’t attending the rally as his mentee or even his friend; I was there as the most qualified person for the job. Joe Biden Blames Senate ‘Bunch of White Guys’ for Failing Anita Hill

Former Vice President Joe Biden blasted the Senate Judiciary Committee during the Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings for being “white” and failing to understand the accusations of abuse brought by Anita Hill at the time.

Biden said that Hill paid a “terrible price” for coming forward and testifying against Thomas during his confirmation hearings.

“I also realized there was a real and perceived problem the committee faced. They were a bunch of white guys. No, I mean it sincerely. A bunch of white guys hearing this testimony on the Senate Judiciary Committee,” he said. “So when Anita Hill came to testify she faced a committee that didn’t fully understand what the hell it was all about.”

Biden spoke about Hill on Tuesday night at the Biden Courage Awards in New York City, as he focused on the scourge of sexual abuse and harassment. . .

In the ’90s, Biden faced criticism from the left for his infamous handling of the Anita Hill hearings, allowing his Senate colleagues to cross-examine her with embarrassing questions and failing to allow three other women accusers to testify. Biden Looks to Announce 2020 Run, Reveal VP Pick

On Thursday morning, media reports claimed former Vice President Joe Biden, who is expected to announce his 2020 presidential bid any day now, will do so as in a “packaged” deal, with his number two likely being failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.

“Close advisers to former Vice President Joe Biden are debating the idea of packaging his presidential campaign announcement with a pledge to choose Stacey Abrams as his vice president,” reported Axios.

The New York Times published a similar report concerning a Biden/Abrams ticket, though the outlet noted that other young Democrats’ names are still being shopped around for the full-ticket announcement, such as Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and failed Senate candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke. . .

An Abrams-pick for VP would clearly be a way for Biden to add to his ticket some much sought after racial and gender diversity, which is weighty currency to Democrat officials. For example, 2020 hopeful O’Rourke already made it clear that it is his “preference” to have a female VP ticket if he were to get the Democrat nomination.

Racial activist Al Sharpton, for example, told Axios that the “Abrams move could help Biden by mitigating objections to his treatment of Anita Hill during Justice Clarence Thomas’ confirmation.” And the Times notes, “With a younger but still accomplished vice-presidential nominee at his side, Mr. Biden could hope to demonstrate his commitment to diversity and to restoring stability to Washington.” (Read more from “Biden Looks to Announce 2020 Run, Reveal vp Pick” HERE)

Presidential Hopeful Biden Trashes America While in Europe

Former Vice President Joe Biden blasted President Donald Trump in everything but name at a defense summit, as he declared America “an embarrassment” before European allies.

Biden, in an extended apology that prompted loud applause from the delegates at the NATO Munich Security Conference Saturday, suggested the United States had abandoned its bedrock principles and commitment to Europe, the Washington Examiner reports.

Violating a decades-old tradition of leaving politics at home when addressing foreign nationals, the potential 2020 Democratic presidential candidate spent much of his speech suggesting America had violated its commitment to “human decency” and other cornerstones of democracy. Biden has said that he wishes to restore “civility” and “respect” to American politics.

“The America I see values basic human decency, not snatching children from their parents or turning our back on refugees at our border. Americans know that’s not right,” Biden asserted. “The American people understand plainly that this makes us an embarrassment. The American people know, overwhelmingly, that it is not right. That it is not who we are.”

Biden said: “While I cannot speak today as an elected government official who is able to set policy, I can speak as a citizen. I can offer insight into my country. I know we’ve heard a lot today about leadership, but in my experience, leadership only exists if somebody — and others — are with you. Leadership in the absence of people who are with you is not leadership.” (Read more from “Presidential Hopeful Biden Trashes America While in Europe” HERE)

Biden’s Brother Explains Why Some Family Members Voted for Trump

By Townhall. Joe Biden’s younger brother Frank Biden said that not all members of the family were on board with Hillary Clinton in 2016 so they cast their vote for Donald Trump.

Biden told The Palm Beach Post the family members felt “slighted” by the Democratic presidential nominee’s campaign strategy. He said he believes his brother would have been able to pick up states the former secretary of state lost had he run.

“We never would have lost Pennsylvania, and all my relatives — the Finnegan family — who voted for Donald Trump because they felt slighted by Hillary and her campaign,” Biden said. “We never would have not gone to Michigan as the campaign decided not to do because they felt entitled to the votes of those people. Joe Biden Hurt by Obama’s Call for ‘New Blood’ in Politics

By Washington Examiner. Former Vice President Joe Biden, 76, is reportedly slighted by former President Barack Obama’s call for “new blood” in politics.

The 44th president, during a private Obama Foundation reception last week in Hawaii, told attendees there was a “deficit” in political leadership and that there was a need for “new blood.” Though he appeared to be speaking broadly about politics, not specifically the Democratic Party, the Hill reported Sunday that Obama’s comments were a cause of consternation for Biden given the longtime senator’s loyalty to the former president and the way his ex-boss discouraged him from running in 2016 against eventual nominee Hillary Clinton.

“The president loves this guy, loves Joe, thinks the world of him. He would go in a battle ditch with Joe, but that’s different than giving his brand to him,” one Obama ally told the outlet. “He has an incredible soft spot for him. And I’m sure he’ll do everything he can to make Joe feel good, but he won’t come out and make Joe his candidate. And I think that hurts Joe.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Hurt by Obama’s Call for ‘New Blood’ in Politics” HERE)

Joe Biden Feels Stung as Obama Plays ‘Footsie’ With Other Democrats Eyeing 2020 Bid

By Washington Examiner. Vice President Joe Biden is reportedly upset that his former boss, Barack Obama, has been talking to other Democrats about a 2020 run for president.

Earlier this month, the Washington Post reported that Rep. Beto O’Rourke, who recently lost to Sen. Ted Cruz in their Texas midterm election contest, met with former President Obama last month as he considers his own White House bid.

According to insiders who spoke to Vanity Fair, word that Obama is speaking to potential Democratic contenders has miffed Biden, 76, who has privately been considering a campaign of his own against President Trump. . .

“If Obama is playing footsie with people now, it creates tension,” said an adviser who works for a potential 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. “And it gets you some media attention and maybe some staffing. But actual voters? Obama himself has always been popular with Democrats, but I’ve never seen his popularity be transferrable to someone else.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Feels Stung as Obama Plays ‘Footsie’ With Other Democrats Eyeing 2020 Bid” HERE)

Beto O’Rourke Meets With Obama Amid Speculation of 2020 Presidential Run

By Washington Examiner. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas, met with Barack Obama as he considers making a 2020 presidential bid.

The former Democratic candidate, who took on Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, in the 2018 midterms, met with the former president in his offices in Foggy Bottom Nov. 16, according to a Washington Post report.

O’Rourke became a popular candidate in Hollywood among celebrities such as singer Beyonce, basketball star LeBron James, and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, in an attempt to turn Texas blue. . .

Sources close to the O’Rourke campaign told the Post that Obama offered several times to help the campaign, including traveling to Texas for a rally or recording a robo-call offering his endorsement. . .

“I don’t think we’re interested [in an endorsement],” O’Rourke said after a town hall at a local high school. “I am so grateful to him for his service, he’s going to go down as one of the greatest presidents. And yet, this [election] is on Texas.” (Read more from “Beto O’Rourke Meets With Obama Amid Speculation of 2020 Presidential Run” HERE)

Flashback: That Time Joe Biden Said FBI Reports Can’t Be Relied on for Sexual Misconduct Cases

Well, look at what we have here. From NTK Network, a flashback from the Clarence Thomas hearings, who also face allegations of sexual misconduct from Anita Hill. Thomas was eventually confirmed, but by a razor thin margin. There was an FBI report, but then-Senate Committee chair Joe Biden (D-DE) said it was worthless to cite. Why?

“FBI explicitly does not, in this or any other case, reach a conclusion, period. Period,” said Biden at the time.

“The reason why we cannot rely on the FBI report—you would not like it if we did—because it is inconclusive. They say, ‘He said, she said, and they said. Period,” he added.

In this current Supreme Court fight, Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez have lobbed allegations against President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Ford alleges a drunken 17-year-old Kavanaugh tried to sexually assault her at a high school party, while Ramirez alleges he exposed himself at a party at Yale. Both cases lack evidence. And by lack, I mean there is none. It’s unprovable. Witnesses in both cases also refute the accuser’s story. Ford can’t remember how she got to this particular house party, who planned it, or who owned the house. For Ramirez, her story is so shoddy that The New York Timesdidn’t do a deep-dive because they couldn’t confirm anything. Regretful Biden Really Wishes Obama Had Given Tax Cuts, Basically Concedes Trump’s Right

Former Vice President Joe Biden says he wanted to cut taxes for the middle class during the final years in the White House in order to give Americans tangible proof of the Obama administration’s accomplishments.

“We had the big debate about what our focus should be on the economy in the last two years,” Biden said in an interview on Pod Save America, a podcast hosted by four Obama administration alumni. “The president let me come in with my team to make a presentation that we should have a middle class tax cut. The economists came in and said, ‘well, that’s not going to stimulate the economy.’”

Biden said that he and his advisers debated with other economists for two days in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, but in the end the administration declined to push for tax cuts. “What I was trying to do was actually demonstrate tangibly that we’re listening,” Biden said.

The conversation was sparked by what former President Barack Obama should have done in the last years of his administration to prove that his economic policies were working for the American people.

“I wish we could have done again going back as I wish we had let people know simultaneously ‘this is what we’re doing. By the way the reason why you are bum-bum-bum this is why. The reason why this job came back is because of — this is what we did the reason,’” Biden said. This Is the Comment Joe Biden ‘Regrets’ Saying About Trump

By The Daily Wire. Former Vice President Joe Biden says he regrets suggesting that he could have beaten up a teenaged Donald Trump had the pair attended high school together.

Speaking to the podcast, Pod Save America, Biden said that he’s concerned with the coarsening of political discourse, and is sorry that he contributed to the decline.

“I shouldn’t have said what I said because I don’t want to get down in the mosh pit with this guy,” Biden said.

Last week, Biden told an audience in Florida that “If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.” Biden was talking about how he might have handled a hypothetical teen-aged Donald Trump’s “locker room talk,” which Biden said was offensive to women. Biden Supporters Are Thrilled Over His Fight With Trump

By The Hill. . .It’s only heightened speculation that Biden, 75, is serious about challenging Trump.

The former vice president sat out the 2016 presidential race, and has heard supporters say he would have defeated Trump if he’d been in the running. Trump triumphed over Democrat Hillary Clinton by winning the states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin — states Biden sees as practically his political base . . .

In each case, a Trump insult or taunt was turned into a fundraiser pitch to Democrats eager to resist the president.

“The fundraising email practically writes itself,” the Biden World source said.

Even Republicans saw the comments as a positive for Biden. (Read more from “Biden Supporters Are Thrilled Over His Fight With Trump” HERE)

As Biden Sat in Tent on Vets Day, Pence Grabbed Supplies and Cleaned Memorial Pences Pitch in

Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, joined volunteer groups on Veterans Day and helped wash the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington.

The Pences joined Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and a number of volunteers on Saturday cleaning the face of the 247-foot wall, which is engraved with the names of fallen soldiers, USA Today reported.

Pence reportedly showed up dressed in blue jeans, old cowboy boots and yellow gloves and spent about 40 minutes scrubbing the memorial.

This is quite a contrast to what former Vice President Joe Biden did in Delaware last year on Veterans Day, which was sit in a tent, deliver a speech, shake a few hands and be done.

There is nothing wrong with what Biden did, it’s just what politicians traditionally do. But the fact that Pence and his wife took time on a cold day to get dirty and clean the memorial shed some light on their character — and proves just how different the Trump administration is from the one that preceded it.
