U.S. Agency Proposes New LGBTQ Advancements in Foreign Nations

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) recommended new LGBTQ advancements and programs for its 100+ locations across the globe, according to a new policy framework released Wednesday.

The USAID aims to promote pro-LGBTQ policies and increase the presence of LGBTQ “programming” via its mission locations throughout the world, which include Africa, South America and the Middle East, to the 2023 “LGBTQI+ Inclusive Development Policy.” These programs include appointing LGBTQ “focal point” leaders, integrating LGBTQ “inclusion” into crisis response and working with foreign local LGBTQ groups to influence and drive policy.

The USAID views pro-LGBTQ advancements as “cause for cautious optimism” and claims that measures are needed to keep foreign nations from “backsliding,” according to the framework.

“USAID plays a crucial role in agenda setting, promulgating norms and precedents, and encouraging multi-sectoral investments that support LGBTQI+ inclusive development globally,” the framework reads. “While recent momentum in some countries toward repealing and reforming laws that criminalize same-sex conduct—including many anti-LGBTQI+ laws inherited from colonial powers—is cause for cautious optimism, some countries have experienced significant backsliding.”

‘It’s Amazing’: NBC News Promotes Disturbing LGBTQ Camp for Kids

NBC News promoted an LGBTQ+ camp for kids, calling it “amazing” with comments such as “Love that whole idea.”

“Summer camp is a time for kids to make life-long memories, right?” NBC News Daily host Kate Snow said, introducing the piece. “And that is exactly what New York’s new Country Pride Camp says that it does, all while aiming to also be inclusive.

“It’s amazing,” her cohost gushed. “The camp website describes it as a welcoming community of LGBTQ+ young people and staff to create an experience where everyone is able to thrive. NBC News correspondent Steven Romo got a first-hand look at the camp. Steven, did it make you want to be a kid again?”

“It brought back so many memories, guys,” Romo, who is gay, stated. “This camp’s only in its third year right now but parents and organizers agree it’s much needed; a place where these kids can not just be tolerated, but celebrated.”

“For many kids, camp helps add some sparkle to their summers,” Romo said over video of the camp. “At New Country Pride Camp, that sparkle? It’s a lot more literal. The 14th Street Y and New Country Day Camp are in the middle of Pride Camp. Now in its third year, the program is specifically aimed at serving LGBTQ+ kids and children of people in those communities. These pride campers from across the New York City area have come for a taste of typical summer fun.” (Read more from “‘It’s Amazing’: NBC News Promotes Disturbing LGBTQ Camp for Kids” HERE)

6,000 Congregations Are Leaving the United Methodist Church in a Split Over LGBTQ Agenda

About a fifth of the congregations in the second largest Protestant church in the U.S. are splitting away over a schism about the inclusion of the LGBTQ agenda in Christianity.

That comes to about 6,000 communities in the United Methodist Church, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.

“I don’t think any of us want to see any of our churches leave,” said UMC Council of Bishops president Bishop Thomas Bickerton.

“We’re called to be the body of Christ, we’re called to be unified,” he added. “There’s never been a time when the church has not been without conflict, but there’s been a way we’ve worked through that.”

The mass exodus was the latest development in the years-long debate over LGBTQ inclusion in Methodist theology. Traditional Protestant teaching forbids gay relationships and marriages, but some members and churches are opposing the biblical teaching. News Station Director Fired After Asking Journalists to Tone Down Coverage of Pride Events Following Viewer Complaints

The director of a local news station in Michigan has been fired, as has an assistant director, after issuing a memo to journalists asking them to cover Pride events in a more “balanced” way.

WOOD-TV8 — an NBC affiliate based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan — terminated news director Stanton Tang and assistant news director Amy Fox for releasing the intra-office memo regarding coverage of Pride Month events. According to excerpts of the memo, news station officials had received complaints from viewers who were upset by the station’s supposedly fawning coverage of LGBTQ events.

“We know that West Michigan is a Conservative area in many ways,” the memo said, according to reports. “We need to recognize that some stories related to LGBTQ issues are going to be controversial and polarizing in our community. While you personally may not agree with a certain position, people are entitled to their opinions, and they are our viewers.”

The WOOD-TV memo asked journalists to cover Pride events selectively, based on their “newsworthy-ness.” Should a story be deemed newsworthy, journalists should then make every effort to stay “balanced and get both sides of the issue.” Tang reportedly requested the memo, and Fox reportedly wrote and sent it on his behalf.

Newsroom staff apparently responded to the directive with a mixture of defiance and fury. Based on comments from unnamed employees quoted in the Desk, many staff members experienced significant emotional turmoil on account of the memo. “The toxic atmosphere created by Stanton’s behavior has had a profound impact on the well-being and morale of our team,” one employee said in an email to the Desk. Another claimed that emotions at the station were “still raw.” A third employee, identified as a journalist, stated, “This whole situation killed what used to be a very enjoyable job. I have no passion for it anymore.” (Read more from “News Station Director Fired After Asking Journalists to Tone Down Coverage of Pride Events Following Viewer Complaints” HERE)

Hollywood: Punish Everyone Who Promotes ‘Biological Sex’

Over 250 celebrities in film, music and other industries signed an open letter to pressure social media companies to censor certain speech regarding transgender individuals and the transgender movement.

Figures such as Alyssa Milano, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and many more signed the letter arranged by GLAAD (formerly Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), which they sent to the CEOs of Meta, YouTube, TikTok and Twitter.

Among other things, the letter takes issue with “misgendering,” or referring to a person by their biological sex rather than their preferred gender, and “deadnaming,” which is calling a person by their birth name rather than their preferred name.

“Targeted misgendering and deadnaming of trans and nonbinary people is a widespread mode of hate speech across all platforms, utilized to bully and harass prominent public figures while simultaneously expressing hatred and contempt,” the letter states.

The letter also urges to combat “disinformation” surrounding trans issues, particularly cross-sex medical interventions for children, which the letter refers to as “medically necessary” health care. The letter demands platforms treat such content in the same way as COVID-19 disinformation. (Read more from “Hollywood: Punish Everyone Who Promotes ‘Biological Sex'” HERE)

Disgusting: US General Attacks States That Pass Pro-Family Legislation

A high-ranking Space Force officer recently condemned what she said were anti-LGBTQ laws passed by state legislatures across the country.

Lt. Gen. DeAnna Burt, deputy chief of space operations, told an audience at a Pentagon Pride celebration that more than 400 have been introduced at the state level since January.

“That number is rising and demonstrates a trend that could be dangerous for service members, their families and the readiness of the force as a whole,” Gen. Burt said.

Such laws can affect the personnel decisions she makes for Space Force service members, including promotions and assignments. While job performance and relevant experience are primary considerations, a potential commander’s “personal circumstances” are also important factors, Gen. Burt said.

“If a good match for a job does not feel ‘safe’ being themselves and performing at their highest potential at a given location, or if their family could be denied critical health care due to the laws in that state, I am compelled to consider a different candidate and (someone who is) perhaps less qualified,” Gen. Burt said. (Read more from “Disgusting: US General Attacks States That Pass Pro-Family Legislation” HERE)

Johns Hopkins Pulls ‘Lesbian’ Definition After Uproar Over Use of ‘Non-Men’ Instead of ‘Women’

Johns Hopkins University removed an online glossary of LGBTQ terms and identities this week after its definition of the word “lesbian” used the term “non-men” to refer to women and some nonbinary people and fueled an online uproar.

Screenshots of the glossary before it was taken down showed that the university defined the word “lesbian” as a “non-man attracted to non-men.” It added that while past definitions have referred to lesbians as women who are sexually attracted to other women, the “updated definition” is intended to include nonbinary people who may identify with the label.

“The LGBTQ Glossary serves as an introduction to the range of identities and terms that are used within LGBTQ communities, and is not intended to serve as the definitive answers as to how all people understand or use these terms,” Megan Christin, the university’s director of strategic communications, said in a statement Wednesday. “While the glossary is a resource posted on the website of the Johns Hopkins University Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), the definitions were not reviewed or approved by ODI leadership and the language in question has been removed pending review.”

Christin did not respond to questions regarding when the online glossary was first uploaded.

Screenshots of the glossary sparked an online firestorm in recent days, with many women, including some lesbians, calling the definition “misogynistic” and noting that the definition for “gay man” did not use similar language, such as “non-women.”

When LGBT Activists Flood Target With Bomb Threats, Media Pretend Conservatives Did It

The shameless corporate media are so desperate for a narrative about LGBT victimhood, they’re pretending threats of violence from angry pro-“pride” perpetrators are instead threats against them. The latest examples are pure propaganda from The Hill and The Washington Post on Monday, which led with scaremongering — “bomb threats over Pride items” — while completely burying the lede: The bomb threats against culturally embroiled retail giant Target came from pro-LGBT activists.

“Target stores in at least five states receive bomb threats over Pride items,” read The Hill’s headline — the only part most people see.

The few readers who actually bothered to click the link were met with this deceptive framing in the first paragraph: “Target stores in at least five U.S. states had to be evacuated over the weekend after receiving bomb threats, the latest example of backlash the U.S.-based retail chain has received for its Pride month merchandise.”

Not until paragraph six, however, did the author reveal that these bomb threats that were emailed to news outlets in multiple states “accused the retail chain of betraying the LGBTQ+ community.”

The Washington Post ran an almost identical headline, burying the real news a full eight paragraphs down and leading instead with: “Target stores in at least five states were evacuated this weekend after receiving bomb threats. Though no explosives were discovered, the incidents tie into the backlash over the retail chain’s Pride Month merchandise.” (Read more from “When LGBT Activists Flood Target With Bomb Threats, Media Pretend Conservatives Did It” HERE)

Cracker Barrel Faces Boycott Over ‘Woke’ Post Celebrating Pride Month

Cracker Barrel is the latest brand facing a boycott over celebrating Pride month. Cracker Barrel received backlash for proudly announcing that the restaurant chain with southern comfort food was vowing to push DEI initiatives with an LGBTQ+ alliance.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store shared a post honoring Pride month on its official social media accounts on Thursday. The post featured a photo of a rainbow-colored version of the chain’s iconic rocking chair sitting on the porch. The photo had the caption: “We are excited to celebrate Pride month with our employees and guests. Everyone is always welcome at our table (and our rainbow rocker). Happy Pride!”

The post was shared on the company’s Instagram and Facebook accounts. A majority of the reactions on Facebook approved of the post; however, there were thousands of social media users who railed against the Pride month messaging. Dozens of users vowed to boycott the restaurant chain.

Users asked that the restaurant chain stay out of politics and “stick to biscuits and gravy.” Others threatened to boycott Cracker Barrel and never eat at the restaurant again for promoting “woke” ideologies.

On the Cracker Barrel website, the southern restaurant chain boasted about the company’s “LGBTQ+ Alliance” and “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Team.”

White House Announces Steps to Shield LGBT Community Ahead of Pride Event

The White House on Thursday announced steps to protect the LGBT community ahead of a Pride Month celebration, including the appointment of a Department of Education coordinator to address “the growing threat that book bans pose for the civil rights of students.”

President Biden, who has made the promotion of gay rights a cornerstone of his term, plans to host a large Pride celebration with singer-songwriter Betty Who on the South Lawn of the White House.

The White House took aim at a dozen states that have passed what it called “anti-LGBTQI+ laws that violate our most basic values and freedoms as Americans, and are cruel and callous to our kids, our neighbors, and those in our community.”

Free speech organization PEN America says some of the new laws — particularly in Texas, Florida, Missouri, Utah and South Carolina — have resulted in a rise in restrictions on certain books in libraries or schools.

Conservative leaders and parent groups have pointed to content that is pornographic or inappropriate for younger ages in pushing to restrict some content. They say it would be unconscionable to give young people access to the materials and is part of a broader effort to strengthen parents’ rights in schools.
