Homeless Man Charged With Hate Crimes for Defecating on Pride Flags

Police in New York City charged a homeless man with multiple hate crimes Wednesday for defecating on a restaurant’s LGBTQ flag, then using another pride flag to wipe himself.

Fred Innocent is accused of taking two flags off a table at Buceo 95’s dining shed in the Upper West Side on April 15 and doing his business on them, according to authorities. The incident was caught on the restaurant’s surveillance cameras. (Read more from “Homeless Man Charged With Hate Crimes for Defecating on Pride Flags” HERE)

Disneyland Will Host First Ever Pride Nite During ‘After Dark’

Disneyland announced late last week that the California-based theme park will host its first-ever Pride Nites as part of the park’s “After Dark” series in June.

The LGBTQIA+ event — dubbed “Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite” — will be the first of its kind to be held in the self-described “happiest place on earth” and will extend for two nights, June 13th and June 15th.

“The first-ever Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite is coming to @Disneyland during Pride Month in June,” Disney tweeted from the brand account. “This separately ticketed event celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and allies will have themed entertainment, Disney characters, specialty menu items & more.”

A report from ABC News laid out some of the entertainment attendees could expect to take part in during those events, including but not limited to “Pride Night Cavalcade, an Ohana Dance Party in Tomorrowland featuring Stitch, a Pride Night Dance Club at the Rivers of America and a country line dancing event at the Golden Horseshoe.”

The event is also expected to feature a number of favorite Disney characters, who will be available throughout the events to take photos with guests. (Read more from “Disneyland Will Host First Ever Pride Nite During ‘After Dark’” HERE)

‘Women Are a Biological Reality’: Gay Night Club Posts Sign Outside That Reads ‘XY = Male XX = Female’

A gay bar in New Zealand drew criticism from the transgender community after claiming that biological sex matters.

Cruz, a nightclub and bar in New Zealand, placed a sign outside the establishment that reads “XY = Male XX = Female,” apparently rejecting the idea that gender is unrelated to biological sex. The statement led to significant backlash, with some individuals accusing the business of transphobia.

The bar elaborated on Facebook, posting a picture of the sign with the caption, “women are a biological reality.” Pre-empting criticism, the bar’s Facebook account linked to videos that showed a transgender-critical speaker being attacked by trans activists and another video that claimed transgender policies negatively affect youth.

In a response to a Facebook supporter, the bar claimed that many gay and lesbian people are reluctant to speak out against the transgender movement.

“[U]nfortunately many gay and lesbian targeted businesses are afraid to call this out for what it is. That’s how things came to get as far as they have with the trans madness!” the bar posted. LGBTQ-Activist Dem Mayor, Who Was ‘Mentored’ by Buttigieg, Arrested for Vile Charge

The gay-activist Democrat mayor of College Park, Maryland, who has branded himself as something of a role model for LGBTQ youth, was arrested Thursday morning on dozens of counts of possessing and distributing child pornography, totaling 56 child sex offenses.

47-year-old Patrick Lewis Wojahn, a regular White House guest and the first openly gay man to take mayoral office in his city, is charged with 40 counts of possession of child sexual exploitative material and 16 felony counts of distribution of child porn.

Wojahn, who ran for mayor in 2015 following eight years of service on the city council “to help College Park realize its unfulfilled promise of becoming a top-tier college town,” was busted after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) notified the Prince George’s County Police Department on Feb. 17 that images and videos of child sexual abuse were uploaded in January to a social media account operating in its jurisdiction. PGPD investigators soon discovered that the account in question belonged to Wojahn, according to a press release issued Thursday by the police department. PGPD detectives served a search warrant Tuesday at Wojahn’s home in College Park, where investigators recovered multiple cell phones, a storage device, a tablet, and a computer before the mayor was handcuffed Thursday by the police department’s Internet Crimes Against Child Unit.

As journalist Andy Ngo reported, Wojahn used to have the Instagram username and Twitter handle, “Patrick4CP,” his re-election tagline, Patrick for College Park. Child pornography is often abbreviated as “CP” by child predators searching for it online. (Read more from “LGBTQ-Activist Dem Mayor, Who Was ‘Mentored’ by Buttigieg, Arrested for Vile Charge” HERE)

CDC: Heterosexual Children Healthier, Happier Than ‘LGBQ+’ Peers

A CDC report published in February assessed significantly increased rates of feelings of hopelessness, sadness, and suicidality among “LGBQ+” high school students relative to their “heterosexual” counterparts.

The CDC’s “Youth Risk Behavior Survey” (YRBS) polled high school students had two categories for “sexual identity”: “heterosexual” and “LGBQ+.” The survey’s respondents classified their sexualities based on how they “identify” with the following options: “heterosexual,” “lesbian,” “gay,” “bisexual,” “questioning,” or “another non-heterosexual identity.”

The CDC promised to ask about “gender identity” in subsequent years’ assessments to collect data on high schoolers “who identify as transgender.”

According to the YRBS’s findings, “LGBQ+” high school students has more than double the rate experiencing poor mental health across the 30 days prior to their participation in the survey.

Among “heterosexual” students, 22 percent reported experiencing poor mental health across the previous month, against 52 percent of “LGBQ+” students. (Read more from “CDC: Heterosexual Children Healthier, Happier Than ‘LGBQ+’ Peers” HERE)

Election Gains Give Homosexual Lawmakers a Historic Number of Congressional Seats

The 118th Congress will welcome about a dozen openly LGBTQ members when the session begins Jan. 3 — the most in the history of the institution.

LGBTQ members call it a defining moment, giving them a seat at the table that they plan to use to amplify the voice of America’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.

“A wise person once said, ‘If you don’t have a seat at the table, then you’re probably on the menu,’” said Rep. Ritchie Torres, New York Democrat. “Now, the LGBTQ community is going to have a seat at the table, and we’re going to have a voice and a vote in crafting legislation.”

House Democrats will have three new members who identify as gay, including the first LGBTQ members elected from Illinois and Vermont.

House Republicans will welcome Rep.-elect George Santos of New York as the conference’s sole openly gay member. (Read more from “Election Gains Give Homosexual Lawmakers a Historic Number of Congressional Seats” HERE)

Hard to Watch: First Emmys for Kids Heavily Focuses on LGBT Content

The first annual Children’s and Family Emmy Awards had numerous speeches and awards focused on LGBTQ messaging in an event catering to kids from “infancy to age 15.”

The two-night award show, created by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, bestowed awards on numerous productions containing discussions on gender ideology, and winners occasionally made references to similar progressive topics.

Of all the programs awarded and subsequent acceptance speeches this past weekend, 1 in 4 of them included some information regarding gender identity or sexual orientation.

The first night was hosted by dancer and TikTok star JoJo Siwa, who often refers to herself as “pansexual.” At the start of the show, XOMG pop group, a dance troupe of young girls dressed in futuristic rainbow-colored outfits, performed onstage before Siwa introduced herself. . .

“Muppet Babies” received an award for Outstanding Writing for a Preschool Animated Program. The ceremony specifically highlighted the controversial “Gonzo-rella” episode, in which the character Gonzo tries on dresses and uses they/them programs to identify as non-binary. Liberal Billy Eichner Lashes Out at Straight People After His LGBTQ Movie ‘Bros’ Flops, Blames Homophobia for Abysmal Box Office Opening

Billy Eichner is upset at straight people for not showing up to the opening weekend of his new gay rom-com movie “Bros.” The liberal actor is also blaming homophobia for the movie’s dismal box office opening.

Eichner is best known for being the host of the comedy game show “Billy on the Street,” which aired on Fuse, truTV, and the website Funny or Die. . .

Despite massive promotion from legacy media and overwhelmingly glowing reviews from critics, “Bros” flopped. Eichner’s LGBTQ movie debuted to an abysmal $4.8 million at the box office despite playing in 3,350 theaters nationwide. . .

After the dismal box office numbers for “Bros” was released on Sunday night, Eichner lashed out at straight people and insinuated that anyone who didn’t want to see his LGBTQ movie was “homophobic.”

“Even with glowing reviews, great Rotten Tomatoes scores, an A CinemaScore etc, straight people, especially in certain parts of the country, just didn’t show up for Bros,” Eichner wrote on Twitter. “And that’s disappointing but it is what it is.” (Read more from “Liberal Billy Eichner Lashes Out at Straight People After His LGBTQ Movie ‘Bros’ Flops, Blames Homophobia for Abysmal Box Office Opening” HERE)

State Enacts Law to Help LGBTQ Military Veterans Get Benefits Back

A new law in California will help military service members who were discharged under “don’t ask, don’t tell” policies because of their sexual or gender identities to reestablish their eligibility for Veterans Affairs benefits, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Saturday.

“For decades, our bravest heroes, men and women who wore the uniforms of the armed services had to hide who they really were, and many were other than honorably discharged if their sexuality was discovered,” Newsom said in a statement after announcing he had signed the bill.

Gays and lesbians were banned in the military until the 1993 approval of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” which allowed them to serve only if they did not openly acknowledge their sexual orientation. Rather than helping, advocates say, the policy created more problems. In its entire history, the military dismissed more than 100,000 service members based on their sexual or gender identities — 14,000 of them during “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

Repeal of the law was approved by Congress and then President Barack Obama in late 2010 and took effect nine months later, allowing lesbian, gay and bisexual people to serve openly. (Read more from “State Enacts Law to Help LGBTQ Military Veterans Get Benefits Back” HERE)

School District Removes LGBTQ-Themed Books From Public Schools After Parents Complain

The Dearborn, Michigan, school district has pulled seven books from its schools’ libraries, including titles with LGBTQ themes, after parents complained.

Dearborn Public Schools said the removal is temporary as it reviews the books that children can access at school libraries. One mother was shocked by some of the books’ contents after she told her daughter to check out a book titled “Flamer” and found that it depicts sexually explicit acts between boys, ABC 7 News reported.

“If these were just LGBT romance novels that is completely appropriate,” Stephanie Butler said. “Where I draw the line is teaching them how to actually do the act.”

“You know when you put something into a kid’s mind, it makes them want to do it more or try it,” Butler commented.

The Dearborn School District said it would also restrict students’ access to books available through an e-book app and platform. In the meantime, the district will begin reviewing over 100,000 titles in a process that could take a year. Parents can further provide feedback or share concerns about specific books in school libraries through a form available until Friday.
