Flight Attendant Wins Millions After Southwest Fires Her for Being Pro-life: ‘A Victory for Freedom of Speech’

A flight attendant was awarded $5.1 million by a jury on Thursday, finding that Southwest Airlines canned 20-year veteran Charlene Carter for her sincerely held religious beliefs, namely her pro-life views.

Carter expressed her pro-life stance online and pushed back against the Transportation Workers Union of America (TWU) Local 556 union after the group, including president Audrey Stone, attended the Women’s March in Washington, D.C., in 2017. The event receives funding from Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion mill in the country.

“Today is a victory for freedom of speech and religious beliefs. Flight attendants should have a voice and nobody should be able to retaliate against a flight attendant for engaging in protected speech against her union,” Carter told FOX Business on Friday. “I am so humbled and thankful for today’s decision and for everyone who’s supported me these past five years, including the National Right to Work Foundation.”

The National Right to Work Foundation President Mark Mix slammed the union following the verdict.

“No American worker should have to fear termination, intimidation, or any other reprisal merely for speaking out against having their own money spent, purportedly in their name, to promote an agenda they find abhorrent,” said Mix, who reportedly served pro-bono legal representation to Carter. Undercover Footage: Women Drugged With Xanax Before Speaking to Abortionist (VIDEO)

As the pro-life movement celebrates the U.S. Supreme Court officially overturning Roe v. Wade with its Dobbs v. Jackson decision, those in the movement have also been contending with calling out abortion abuse where it is ongoing. Just before the Court handed down the Dobbs decision, Live Action released undercover footage showing the abuses committed by Dr. Cesare Santangelo, who performs abortions at the Washington Surgi-Clinic. His website advertises performing abortions up until 31 weeks and six days, which is into the third trimester.

The undercover footage, filmed in January of this year with a pregnant investigative activist presenting herself as a patient, reveals that patients have to take Xanax and have their pants off when speaking to the abortionist.

A nurse also reveals that they perform “a lot” of abortions at or past 28 weeks – the start of the third trimester – that are not for medical emergencies.

Given how late into pregnancy the procedure would be performed, the nurse also informs the patient there’s a possibility that she could go into premature labor before then in her hotel room. The patient was merely told to call the facility and they’ll tell her what to do next. After signing forms confirming they’ve had such a discussion, she’s told that the doctor “could come and help you take care of it.”

Abortion Clinics Shutter in Pro-Life States Following Supreme Court Decision

Abortion clinics in multiple states where pro-life laws are now, or will soon be, in effect ceased operations Friday after the Supreme Court overturned its Roe v. Wade decision.

In a 6-3 decision for Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the court upheld a Mississippi law that bans abortion procedures after 15 weeks or pregnancy, ruling that the Constitution does not protect a woman’s right to kill her unborn child. The ruling lets states individually decide how they will regulate abortion, if at all, opening the door for at least 26 states with pro-life governments to enact new limits on abortion.

In some states that already have pro-life laws on the books, including so-called trigger laws that will now go into effect after the court’s decision, abortion clinics have already halted scheduled abortion procedures and closed their doors.

Texas, for example, has a law that will ban most abortions from the moment of conception forward, excepting medical emergencies where the life of the mother is at risk. State Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) announced Friday that the law will go into effect in 30 days after the court issues its judgement in Dobbs — a judgement is a legal document to be issued by the court that is separate from its opinion, which was released Friday. WATCH: This Man Spent His Day Telling Pro-Abortion Protestors He’s Glad Their Mothers Didn’t Abort Them. They Weren’t Happy About It

A pro-life protestor roused the ire of pro-abortion demonstrators Saturday by cheerfully and repeatedly telling them he is glad that their mothers chose not to abort them.

As thousands gathered to join the “Bans off our Bodies” rally, largely led by the Women’s March, the pro-life protestor stood across the street from the Washington Monument and told passersby with a big smile, “I’m so glad your mother didn’t abort you!”

The Daily Wire observed a man on a scooter yell an obscenity at the pro-life man from across the street, to which the pro-life protestor responded, “I am SO glad she did. I get to see you, my friend!”

“I know your name. Moron,” said a man who was leaving the protest and appeared to be blind.

“Hey, I’m glad your mother didn’t abort you,” the pro-life protestor said cheerfully. The man responded, “That was her choice, you dumb f*ck.”

‘Her Life Was a Walking Miracle’: Former Planned Parenthood Staffer Turned Pro-life Advocate Has Died

A Planned Parenthood facility director who later filed a lawsuit against her former employer and testified against the abortion giant in a congressional hearing, Sue Thayer, died on Tuesday following a short battle with kidney cancer. She was 62.

Her daughter, Kim Thayer, announced her passing in a Facebook post. “Mom lost her earthly battle with a rare, aggressive form of cancer but won the final war when she woke up in the arms of our Heavenly Father,” wrote Kim.

To family and friends, Thayer was known as a joyful woman of deep Christian faith. Most recently, she had served as director of outreach at 40 Days for Life, an ecumenical group based in central Texas and active in 63 countries that mobilizes prayer vigils outside abortion centers.

The ministry’s president, Shawn Carney, called Thayer “irreplaceable” and “an important part of the pro-life movement around the world” in a tribute video.

Women’s health advocate and author Abby Johnson, known for also exiting Planned Parenthood, said Thayer will be “greatly missed by many.” Johnson stated online: “Sue has been a force in the prolife movement. She was a constant encourager [and] amazing friend … who would always call or text at just the right time.” (Read more from “‘Her Life Was a Walking Miracle’: Former Planned Parenthood Staffer Turned Pro-life Advocate Has Died” HERE)

Pro-Life CEO Pushed Out for Supporting Texas Law

The head of a video game studio stepped down Monday evening after speaking out in support of the Texas Heartbeat Act on Saturday.

John Gibson left his position as chief executive of Tripwire Interactive following a Saturday tweet in which he voiced his approval of the Texas Heartbeat Act, a law banning abortions after the unborn baby’s heartbeat can be detected. The law was passed in May and the Supreme Court allowed it to go into effect last week.

“Proud of #USSupremeCourt affirming the Texas law banning abortion for babies with a heartbeat,” Gibson wrote. “As an entertainer I don’t get political often. Yet with so many vocal peers on the other side of this issue, I felt it was important to go on the record as a pro-life game developer.”

Tripwire issued a statement Monday apologizing for Gibson’s comments and expressing a commitment to take “swift action.”

“The comments given by John Gibson are of his own opinion, and do not reflect those of Tripwire Interactive as a company,” the statement said. “His comments disregarded the values of our whole team, our partners and much of our broader community.”

Facebook Bans Pro-Life Group LifeSiteNews

Facebook permanently banned LifeSiteNews — one of the largest pro-life websites — from the social media platform on Tuesday. The ban comes four months after YouTube did the same in February, and Twitter in January.

LifeSiteNews reported Facebook stripped its page after it published an op-ed in April raising concerns over potential side effects of the coronavirus vaccines administered to individuals previously infected with COVID-19.

“In a quick series of notices and emails to LifeSiteNews’ marketing department, Facebook delivered the shocking news, accusing LifeSite of publishing ‘false information about COVID-19 that could contribute to physical harm,’” the pro-life site explained to readers. “Facebook also said that they deplatform Facebook pages that publish ‘vaccine discouraging information on the platform.’”

LifeSiteNews’ pro-abortion rivals took a victory lap on Twitter, celebrating big tech’s role as the arbiters of truth with demands Silicon Valley be more aggressive to deplatform conservative rivals.

University Settles With Midwife Student After Threatening To Expel Her for Pro-Life Views

The University of Nottingham has settled with a midwifery student whom it tried to expel for her association with a campus pro-life group.

Julia Rynkiewicz got both an undisclosed payout and an apology 10 months after the university dropped its “fitness to practice” investigation, according to The Telegraph.

“Putting my life on hold because of an unjust investigation was really difficult, both mentally and emotionally,” she said. “The settlement demonstrates that the university’s treatment of me was wrong, and while I’m happy to move on, I hope this means that no other student will have to experience what I have.”

The student is now a year behind graduating because of the baseless proceeding, which also included a ban on completing her hospital placement, the newspaper reported in January when she first threatened legal action. (It’s not clear whether she actually filed suit: The Telegraph said Rynkiewicz could “carry her case through to the ombudsman and then on to court” if her complaint wasn’t remedied.) Students Destroy Memorial for Unborn Babies, Threaten Conservative Pro-Life Leader (VIDEO)

Students vandalized a display intended to memorialize aborted babies on the campus of the University of North Texas (UNT) on Wednesday and also sent threatening texts to the leader of the conservative student group that put it up.

Members of the UNT chapter of Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT), a group that has existed in some form since 1980, received permission to place 1,000 small pink flags around the Denton, Texas, campus to commemorate unborn lives lost since Roe v. Wade, according to The Spectator USA. Each flag represented approximately 60,000 babies.

The chapter’s president, Kelly Neidert, told The Spectator that the flags were accompanied with various signs that said “abortion is murder,” “unborn lives matter,” and “overturn Roe v. Wade,” in part a reference to the looming battle to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

According to social media posts obtained by The Spectator, liberal students took aim at the memorial before it was even in place, mocking it and making a “capture the flag” game out of ripping down the exhibit erected by those whom they deemed “sexist, transphobic, all around horrid.” According to video captured by YCT, several students plucked the signs and removed the flags, including one girl carrying a soda. . .

Other screenshots obtained by The Spectator showed that Twitter users sent abusive and threatening messages to YCT and even Neidert herself, including one that told her to kill herself and another that said in part, “Personally, my code of conduct dictates that hexes should be cast unless the most heinous crimes are committed (rape, murder, etc). But who I am to tell other witches how to practice their craft?”

Doctor Veteran Nun Calls Trump Most Pro-Life President in History (VIDEO)

Sister Deirdre Byrne has served under a wide array of diverse titles. A sister, soldier, and surgeon, the nun took on the title of a speaker at Wednesday’s Republican National Convention, where she spoke on behalf of the unborn and fulfilled a wish she prayed for.

“I must confess that I recently prayed while in chapel begging God to allow me to be a voice and instrument for human life, and now here I am, speaking at the Republican National Convention,” Byrne said. “I guess you better be careful for what you pray for.” . . .

“Humility is at the foundation of our order, which makes it very difficult to talk about myself, but I can speak about my experience working for those fleeing war towns and impoverished countries around the world. Those refugees all share a common experience. They have all been marginalized; viewed as insignificant, powerless and voiceless,” Byrne said. “And while we tend to think of the marginalize as living beyond our borders. The truth is, the largest marginalized group in the world can be found in the United States. They are the unborn.” (Read more from “Doctor Veteran Nun Calls Trump Most Pro-Life President in History” HERE)
