GOP Rep Makes Huge Admission About the Declassifying of Russia Investigation

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) told Fox News on Thursday night that the reason that Democrats are reacting with anger over President Donald Trump’s decision to declassify information from the Russia investigation is that they know what explosive information is about to come out that will make many of them look bad.

“I can tell you, there’s information coming that will curl your hair,” Meadows told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “I can tell you that the reason why it’s so visceral — the response from the Democrats is so visceral right now is because they know — they’ve seen documents. Adam Schiff has seen documents that he knows will actually put the finger pointing back at him and his Democrat colleagues, not the President of the United States. And so that’s why you’re seeing it.” . . .

On Friday, Trump said that he hopes Attorney General William Barr “looks at the U.K., and I hope he looks at Australia, and I hope he looks at Ukraine. I hope he looks at everything, because there was a hoax that was perpetrated on our country.” (Read more from “GOP Rep Makes Huge Admission About the Declassifying of Russia Investigation” HERE)

Obama Administration CUT Video Feed During Russia Investigation Meetings

Comments made by Attorney General William Barr about extraordinary arrangements regarding the original handling of the Russia investigation may take on more significance in light of a previous report showing a high and unusual degree of compartmentalization in the Obama-era intelligence community’s initial intel set up of the Russia probe.

In an interview with Fox News that aired Friday, Barr commented that the intelligence community’s early handling of the Russia investigation may raise questions. He noted it was first handled at a “very senior level” and then by a “small group.” . . .

The thing that’s interesting about this is that this was handled at a very senior level of these departments. It wasn’t handled in the ordinary way that investigations or counterintelligence activities are conducted. It was sort of an ad hoc, small group — and most of these people are no longer with the FBI or the CIA or the other agencies involved. I think there’s a misconception out there that we know a lot about what happened. The fact of the matter is, Bob Mueller did not look at the government’s activities.

The number of Obama administration officials who were allowed access to the Russia intelligence was also highly limited, The Post reported. At first only four senior officials were involved: Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and then-FBI Director James Comey. Their aides were all barred from attending the initial meetings, The Post stated. . .

Adding another layer of secrecy, the newspaper reported that when the closed Cabinet sessions on Russia began in the White House Situation Room in August, the video feed from the main room was cut off during the meetings. AG Barr Appoints U.S. Attorney to Investigate Origins of Russia Investigation

Attorney General Bill Barr has appointed a U.S. attorney to investigate the origins of the Russia investigation and to determine if the FBI’s surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016 was legal.

The Associated Press reported that a source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that Barr “appointed John Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, to conduct the inquiry.”

“The inquiry will focus on whether the government’s methods to collect intelligence relating to the Trump campaign were lawful and appropriate,” The AP added. “Durham has previously investigated law enforcement corruption, the destruction of CIA videotapes and the Boston FBI office’s relationship with mobsters.” . . .

Fox News reported on Monday that multiple sources had told the network that “Barr was ‘serious’ and had assigned DOJ personnel to the probe. Durham is known as a ‘hard-charging, bulldog’ prosecutor, Fox News is told.”

“Sources familiar with matter say the focus includes pre-transition period — prior to Nov. 7, 2016 – – including the use and initiation of informants, as well as potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses,” Fox News added. “An informant working for U.S. intelligence posed as a Cambridge University research assistant in September 2016 to try to probe George Papadopoulos, then a Trump foreign policy adviser, on the campaign’s possible ties to Russia, it emerged earlier this month. And, Papadopoulos told Fox News, the informant tried to ‘seduce’ him as part of the ‘bizarre’ episode.” (Read more from “AG Barr Appoints U.S. Attorney to Investigate Origins of Russia Investigation” HERE)

Trump Approval Rating in the Wake of Mueller Report Revealed in Recent Poll

President Trump’s job approval stands at 45 percent, while 51 percent of voters disapprove, according to a new Fox News Poll. And that is almost exactly where it was last month, 46-51 percent, before Special Counsel Robert Mueller completed his Russia probe March 22.

That makes sense given two-thirds of voters (65 percent) say Mueller’s investigation has not changed how they feel about Trump. One in ten (10 percent) say they feel better about the president, while nearly two in ten (17 percent) feel worse.

The Justice Department will release a redacted version of Mueller’s report Thursday. Attorney General William Barr released his summary March 24. Congressional Democrats want the full report released, as do 80 percent of voters according to a Fox News Poll conducted March 17-20.

But don’t expect the release of Mueller’s report to put the issue to rest. The poll finds 35 percent of voters think the Russia investigation proves there was no collision, while 64 percent disagree or have no opinion.

In addition, 57 percent think it is at least somewhat likely U.S. intelligence agencies broke the law when they started investigating the Trump campaign in the first place: 22 percent think it is “extremely” likely, 12 percent “very” likely, 23 percent “somewhat” likely. A third, 35 percent, think it is “not at all” likely that there were illegalities in the investigation. WATCH: Donald Trump Jr. Pounds the Media Over Their Coverage of Russia Investigation

Donald Trump Jr. slammed the media over its handling of the Russia investigation on Sunday during an interview with Fox News’ Howard Kurtz on “Media Buzz,” saying that “it became a business model for most media to attack Donald Trump and to buy into this narrative.”

Trump Jr.’s interview came after Attorney General William Barr sent a letter to Congress over a week ago that revealed that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation did not find that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia and that there was not enough evidence to pursue charging the president with obstruction of justice.

Speaking on whether he thought Mueller’s investigation wanted to find President Donald Trump guilty of crimes, Trump Jr. said: “I think so because they didn’t find anything, but the reality is there was nothing there to find. Now I don’t believe for one second that there’s not one person on that team whose dream it would not have been to take down Donald Trump — I stand by that 100 percent.” . . .

“I think there were some people that tried to actually be fair — when they were actually fair you’d see the other side just try to just obliterate them, right, even their own following. So you know, I think there were a couple of people that did good reporting, and I don’t mean you know conservative reporters,” Trump Jr. said. “I mean actually people on the other side that were at least unbiased or try to look at it objectively… They lost their following, they get ratioed to heck, you know, it became a business model for most media to attack Donald Trump and to buy into this narrative. And if you didn’t you upset a lot of people, you risked your career, and you risked other things.”

Rand Paul Blocks Resolution Calling for Release of Mueller Report

By Townhall. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) blocked a resolution Thursday that called for the public release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report after Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), a 2020 presidential hopeful, asked for unanimous consent in the Senate for the resolution. The measure passed the House by a 420-0 vote last month.

“We still have not seen the report,” Klobuchar said on the Senate floor. “I have urged the Department of Justice to release the report, and the administration should not delay in producing the report to Congress.”

Sen. Paul objected to Klobuchar’s motion, arguing that “we all want transparency,” but he would like the communications of officials in the Obama administration to be released first, including those of former CIA Director John Brennan and Former FBI Director James Comey, in relation to the beginning of the Russia probe. Rand Paul Accuses Obama Administration of Sending ‘Spies’ Into Trump’s Campaign

By Washington Examiner. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., accused the Obama administration’s intelligence community of having “spies” infiltrate the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.

Paul claimed that a “source” shared with him the Justice Department’s attempts to retrieve information on the Trump campaign during the Obama administration. In particular, Paul alleged that former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and FBI Director James Comey “sent spies” to get information on the Trump campaign after they received the so-called Trump dossier.

The document contains salacious information about President Trump and his relationship with Russia.

“Well, my source tells me that the intelligence community, Obama’s intelligence community, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, they were frustrated because they had this Russian dossier but nobody believed it was real,” Paul said during an interview on Fox News on Thursday.

Former British spy Christopher Steele composed the dossier after being hired by opposition research firm Fusion GPS. A lawyer for the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee had hired the firm to conduct anti-Trump research. Dem Has a Secret Weapon for Obtaining the Full Mueller Report

By Townhall. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) on Sunday reiterated one important fact: Democrats in the House of Representatives are prepared to subpoena Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Attorney General William Barr in order to obtain a full copy of the Mueller report. Nadler and his colleagues from five other committees sent a letter on Friday saying they expected “full transparency.”

But Nadler took the sentiment a step further, saying he’s prepared to go to the Supreme Court of the United States, if he must, in order for the Muller report to be made public.

“We’ll try to negotiate. We’ll try everything else first, but if we have to, yes, we will certainly issue subpoenas to get that information,” Nadler told CNN’s Dana Bash.

“And you’re going to be willing to take that all the way to the Supreme Court if you have to?” Bash asked.

“Absolutely,” Nadler replied without hesitation. (Read more from “Dem Has a Secret Weapon for Obtaining the Full Mueller Report” HERE)

Nadler Vows to Subpoena, Take Fight to Supreme Court to Get Full Mueller Report

By The Washington Examiner. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., vowed to take the fight over getting special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report released to the public all the way to the Supreme Court.

In an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, Nadler said House Democrats are poised to issue subpoenas and would “absolutely” take the matter to the high court if necessary.

“We’ll try to negotiate. We’ll try everything else first, but if we have to, yes, we will certainly issue subpoenas to get that information,” Nadler said.

When asked how long he would give the Justice Department to turn over the full report, Nadler said “it won’t be months.”

Nadler said he is inclined to accept at face value Attorney General William Barr’s characterization of the report, which is expected to be given to Congress in the form of a summary as early as Sunday. However, Nadler said the summary isn’t nearly as important as getting the full report out because different people can interpret findings and data differently. The Russian Collusion Hoax Began, Continued, and Ended With Hillary Clinton

A lot has already been said about the results of the Mueller probe, which, according to Attorney General William Barr, absolved the president of claims that he colluded with Russia and obstructed justice. Now who will be held accountable for promulgating the Russia hoax in the first place?

The Trump-Russia hoax was originally a black propaganda campaign to smear then-candidate Donald Trump as a compromised individual who, if he became president, would be a commander in chief subservient to the Kremlin.

The Russia hoax began during the late stages of the 2016 presidential campaign. Hillary Clinton’s campaign hired the now-infamous opposition research and PR firm Fusion GPS, presumably to conduct an investigation into then-candidate Trump’s ties to Russia. That effort resulted in the Trump-Russia dossier, which was allegedly crafted by former British spy Christopher Steele. In parallel with Fusion’s efforts, political operatives with deep ties to the Clinton family emerged with a second dossier and began to disseminate false information about Donald Trump’s supposed ties to the Russians.

Thanks to the assistance of Hillary Clinton’s connections in government and useful idiots in the Republican Party, the Trump-Russia narrative made its way into the upper echelons of the Obama administration’s Intelligence Community. CIA Director John Brennan, DNI chief James Clapper, and FBI Director James Comey were but a few of the high-ranking intelligence officials who were all too eager to lap up the false Trump-Russia claims. They even leveraged this information to launch an unprecedented surveillance campaign against Donald Trump and his associates.

Although Hillary Clinton ruthlessly smeared Donald Trump as a Russian agent and Obama intelligence agencies regularly leaked stories to the media about the supposedly compromised man that was Donald Trump, none of it stuck. On November 8, 2016, Donald Trump was elected president of the United States.

At first, it seemed that the clock ran out on their investigation. But Hillary Clinton’s campaign set in motion a continuing effort to delegitimize President Trump’s mandate to serve as president.

Thanks to shoddy reporting in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and countless other legacy media publications, coupled with television pundits and politicians on CNN and MSNBC promising that there was indeed collusion, The Trump-Russia hoax was alive and well in the hearts and minds of much of the American public. In addition to the anonymously sourced leaks coming from Obama holdovers in government, many pointed to an Obama Intelligence Community assessment that reportedly relied on the Steele dossier as evidence of a sophisticated Russian plot to interfere in American democracy. The Obama intel report, published just two weeks prior to Donald Trump’s inauguration, concluded that the Russians did indeed interfere in the election.

The appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller, largely on the basis of the sketchy intelligence assessment, allowed for the creation of what amounted to a fourth branch of government. To many on the Left, Hillary Clinton was the president in waiting. She was the real president, they said, and many concluded that it was only a matter of time before Mueller and his team of Democrat prosecutors found evidence of collusion.

In the end, there was no collusion or obstruction. The president has been vindicated and his mandate for office restored beyond the shadow of a doubt. In the end, it was Hillary Clinton who refused to accept the results of the election. Clinton is a seasoned veteran when it comes to escaping criminal prosecution. Will she also escape blame for creating and advancing the biggest hoax in American history? Democratic Candidate Says Russian Probe Ending Without Indictment Averted a Second Civil War

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) released a statement saying that civil war might have been avoided by the Russian investigation ending without the indictment of President Donald Trump.

The 2020 presidential candidate called for Democrats and Republicans to come together over the findings reportedly concluded in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

“I strongly supported Mueller being allowed to complete his investigation and submit his findings,” Gabbard said in the statement. “Now that Mueller has found no collusion took place, we need to set aside our partisan interests and recognize that finding the president of the United States not guilty of conspiring with a foreign power to interfere with our elections is a good thing for America.” . . .

“If the president of the United States had been indicted for conspiring with Russia to interfere with and affect the outcome of our elections it would have precipitated a terribly divisive crisis that could have even led to civil war,” she said. . . .

Gabbard sang a different tune in 2017, when she told an audience that she was looking into the possibility of impeaching Trump. She has also been criticized by many on the left and the right for making what appeared to be appeasing statements in support of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Trump Turns Table on Mueller, Calls for Investigation

By Fox News. President Trump and his legal team declared total victory Sunday following the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s key findings — including no evidence of collusion with Russia during the 2016 campaign — but sought to turn the tables by renewing calls to investigate the investigators.

Trump himself slammed the probe as an “illegal takedown,” as he called Mueller’s report a “complete exoneration” and said it was a “shame” his presidency had to deal with the investigation for two years. . .

In case it wasn’t clear what he meant, Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News an investigation should be launched into how the investigation began. . .

Giuliani added: “There has to be a full and complete investigation, with at least as much enthusiasm as this one, to figure out where did this charge emanate, who started it, who paid for it.”

The former New York mayor specifically called out one of Trump’s most vocal critics, Rep. Adam Schiff, asking the California lawmaker where the evidence of collusion is that Schiff has said he has. (Read more from “Trump Turns Table on Mueller, Calls for Investigation” HERE)

Schiff Says There Is Still ‘Significant Evidence of Collusion’, Plans to Subpoena to See Mueller Report

By Fox News. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday that he believes there is still “significant evidence of collusion” linking the Russian government with President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, despite reports out of the Justice Department that Special Counsel Robert Mueller will not be recommending any further indictments in his investigation.

“There’s a difference between compelling evidence of collusion and whether the special counsel concludes that he can prove beyond a reasonable doubt the criminal charge of conspiracy,” Schiff said during an interview on ABC’s “This Week.” “I leave that decision to Bob Mueller, and I have full confidence in him.”

“I trust in his prosecutorial judgment,” Schiff added. “But that doesn’t mean, of course, that there isn’t compelling and incriminating evidence that should be shared with the American people.”

Schiff is one of numerous Democrats pressing for full disclosure of Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation and vowing to use subpoena powers and other legal means if necessary to get it.
