Second-Grader Has Bible Confiscated By School Officials

It’s been some 30 years or more since the U.S. Supreme Court established some of the most significant precedents for students in schools, including one that the First Amendment does indeed apply to students in schools.

But still sometimes educators don’t understand, as happened with a recent case in Illinois where officials confiscated a Bible from a second-grader simply because she was reading it during recess, and would talk about it with friends.

The documentation of the situation comes in a report from Francis J. Manion at the American Center for Law and Justice, whose founder, Jay Sekulow, argued some of those precedent-establishing cases at the Supreme Court.

“A little girl had her Bible confiscated by school officials. How could this still be happening in America?” the report wondered, then explaining it’s because “local school officials still don’t seem to have gotten the message.”

“We recently heard from the parents of Gabrielle, a second grader in Illinois. It seems Gabrielle likes to bring her Bible to school and read it during recess. Sometimes she reads it aloud, and sometimes other kids listen in and talk with her about what she’s reading,” the report said. “Constitutional crisis? Michael Flynn’s Brother Takes Command of U.S. Army Pacific

Gen. Charles Flynn, the younger brother of Michael Flynn, took command of the United States Army Pacific on Friday, aiming to prioritize the unit to face the challenges brought on by China.

Flynn, 57, overtook the leadership from Gen. Paul LaCamera, who will move to command U.S. Forces Korea. The general arrived in Hawaii from Washington, D.C., where he served as the deputy chief of staff for Army operations, plans, and training since June 2019.

“Today, as China trends on an increasingly concerning path, presenting challenge to the free and open Pacific, the Army is charged to change once more,” Flynn said during a livestreamed ceremony at Fort Shafter.

Adm. John Aquilino, who heads the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, said he expects Flynn to “execute the integrated deterrence” for a free and open Indo-Pacific when welcoming the general to Hawaii, according to a report by Stars and Stripes. Disturbing: Christian Doctor Ordered Not To Provide Life-Saving Treatment

A Christian doctor has been ordered by a medical tribunal in the United Kingdom not to provide life-saving treatment to women who seek his help while an investigation is conducted.

Officials at Christian Concern explained Dr. Dermot Kearney, a former president of the Catholic Medical Association, is considering how to challenge the punishment imposed by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service.

He was accused of providing prescriptions to women who had taken the first of two chemicals that are described as an abortion-pill process.

“It is believed to be the first time a medical doctor has been prohibited from providing a treatment that saves lives,” Christian Concern explained in a report.

Hunter Biden put his personal knowledge of strip clubs to use in 2018 — praising an exotic dancer’s career choice in a recorded conversation that devolved into a two-way therapy session.

“Ninety percent of the strippers I know do it because they truly, truly love it,” the soon-to-be first son reassures the woman during the 15-minute exchange.

“I don’t know that many people who like their job,” he says.

Who Is the Nonprofit Exec Who Sent U.S. Taxpayer Money to Wuhan Lab?; Report: NIH-Funded Military Scientist Filed Patent for COVID Vaccine Just After Contagion Emerged

By New York Post. The nonprofit exec whose organization sent nearly $600,000 in US taxpayer money to a Chinese lab that may have been the source of COVID-19 masterminded an effort near the start of the pandemic to squelch the notion that the coronavirus was man-made, a new report reveals.

Peter Daszak, president of the New York City-based EcoHealth Alliance, secretly organized a statement issued by the influential British medical journal The Lancet in February 2020, according to Vanity Fair.

A total of 27 scientists — including Daszak, 55, who trained as a zoologist — signed the statement, which expressed “solidarity with all scientists and health professionals in China.” . . .

The nonprofit, which says it’s “dedicated to protecting wildlife and public health from the emergency of disease,” has received as much as $15 million a year in grant money from various federal agencies, Vanity Fair said.

EcoHealth has used those grants to fund controversial “gain-of-function” research — which can increase the infectiousness and virulence of viruses — at facilities that include the Wuhan Institute of Virology, according to Vanity Fair. Report: NIH-Funded Military Scientist Filed Patent for COVID Vaccine Just After Contagion Emerged

By New York Post. A Chinese Communist Party military scientist who got funding from the National Institutes of Health filed a patent for a COVID-19 vaccine in February last year — raising fears the shot was being studied even before the pandemic became public, according to a new report.

Zhou Yusen, a decorated military scientist for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) who worked alongside the Wuhan Institute of Virology as well as US scientists, filed a patent on Feb. 24 2020, according to documents obtained by The Australian.

The patent — lodged by the “Institute of Military Medicine, Academy of Military Sciences of the PLA” — was filed just five weeks after China admitted there was human-to-human transmission of the virus, and months before Zhou died under mysterious circumstances, the report noted.

“This is something we have never seen achieved before, raising the question of whether this work may have started much ­earlier,” Prof. Nikolai Petrovsky from Flinders University told the paper.

Adding to the intrigue, Zhou later died under mysterious circumstances in May last year — something being looked into as part of the international investigation ordered by President Biden, the paper insisted. Facebook Bans Former President Trump Until 2023

Facebook is banning former President Trump from its platform for at least two years, after finding that his posts on January 6 stoked violence and posed a risk to public safety.

And, as part of a new enforcement policy for public figures, the social media giant isn’t guaranteeing that Mr. Trump will be allowed to return at the end of the ban.

“At the end of this period, we will look to experts to assess whether the risk to public safety has receded,” Nick Clegg, Facebook’s vice president of global affairs, wrote in a blog post. “If we determine that there is still a serious risk to public safety, we will extend the restriction for a set period of time and continue to re-evaluate until that risk has receded,” he added.ding permanent removal of his pages and accounts. . .

Mr. Trump called Facebook’s ruling “an insult” to his supporters. “They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this censoring and silencing,” he responded in a brief statement. The two-year ban is considered to have begun on January 7, when Mr. Trump was initially suspended from Facebook, and it will keep him off the platform through the 2022 midterm elections.

Facebook’s new enforcement policy, which specifically applies to public figures during times of civil unrest and violence, incorporates a series of time-bound suspensions for policy violators. Obama Era Emails: Burisma-Linked Firm Offered Ukrainian Prosecutor ‘Access’ to Clinton Camp

Former Ukrainian prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko told former Obama State Department official George Kent he had been “pitched” by a Hunter Biden and Burisma-linked lobbying firm to give him “access” to “high levels” of the Clinton campaign in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election, according to emails between former Obama State Department officials obtained by Fox News.

The lobbying firm, Blue Star Strategies, is reportedly under federal investigation for potential illegal lobbying. Politico first reported the investigation, which allegedly comes as the Justice Department is ramping up enforcement of foreign governments’ efforts to influence U.S. politics. Those efforts have been linked to work by Republicans, but the probe into Blue Star also puts firms and operatives connected to the Democratic Party under the microscope.

In an email released to Citizens United on Thursday as part of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) filing, and obtained by Fox News, former deputy assistant secretary of state for Europe and Eastern Europe George Kent wrote to a number of Obama administration officials about a meeting he had with Ukrainian prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko in September 2016 about Blue Star Strategies. . .

Kent, a key witness in the first impeachment proceedings against former President Trump in 2019, said the two discussed options of a trip Lutsenko had been planning to the U.S., and “confirmed he has been pitched by Blue Star, not sought them out.” . . .

County Bans ‘Left-Wing’ Coca-Cola Machines From Government Buildings

Officials in Surry County, North Carolina, voted to remove Coca-Cola machines from all government facilities in response to the beverage company CEO’s remarks about Georgia’s controversial new voting law.

The ban passed during a Board of Commissioners meeting on May 17 with a 3-2 vote as a direct response to Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey’s comments calling the voting law “unacceptable” and “a step backwards.”

Commissioner Ed Harris provided “TODAY” Digital with the copy of a letter he sent Quincey, calling out the company’s “corporate political commentary favoring the Democratic party” and announcing the decision to remove Coca-Cola machines from government facilities. . .

In the letter to Quincey, Harris said the beverage company supports “the out-of-control cancel culture and bigoted leftist mob” when it chooses the social issues it wants to speak up about.

Google Pushes Chinese Propaganda About South China Sea – With Wikipedia’s Help

A discussion at the Wikipedia Reddit community yesterday noted that Google searches asking if China owns the disputed South China Sea prominently featured a result from the online encyclopedia parroting the Chinese government position that it “enjoys indisputable sovereignty” over the sea. Reddit users noted the line appeared to be taken from a Chinese Foreign Ministry statement quoted in the article, a fact not included in the Google snippet. The line was removed after the Reddit discussion brought it to attention.

This is only the latest case where Google’s prioritizing of Wikipedia for prominently displayed information has spread propaganda or falsehoods.

Numerous territorial disputes exist regarding the South China Sea, most significantly the dispute over the Spratly Islands. Several Southeast Asian countries as well as the communist Chinese government and the government on Taiwan (who each officially claim the islands as governments representing China) dispute control over some or all of the islands. China’s claims in the sea incorporate other islands and together are cited by the government as the basis for its “nine-dash line” territorial claim, which asserts nearly the entire sea is under Chinese sovereignty. Other countries have criticized the claim as overly broad and vague.

The opening post of the discussion on the Wikipedia Reddit community showed a screen-cap of a Google search asking “Does the South China Sea belong to China?” where the “featured snippet” from Wikipedia’s article on “territorial disputes in the South China Sea” seemed to uncritically recite the mainland government’s stance by stating: “China enjoys indisputable sovereignty over the South China Sea and the island. China’s stand is based on historical facts and international law. China’s sovereign rights and positions are formed in the course of history and this position has been held by Chinese Government for long.” Other searches for variations of the question displayed the same snippet.

Such “featured snippets” are reportedly produced by Google’s search engine based on its algorithm determining what “will help people more easily discover what they’re seeking” with the search. Users noted the Google snippet matched a quote on the Wikipedia page from Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu, who was responding to an oil exploration deal India’s oil exploration company had signed with Vietnam’s state oil firm, a deal involving parts of the South China Sea. Unearthed Hunter Biden Laptop Messages Reveal How Badly He Treated His Baby Mama

By New York Post. Hunter Biden’s laptop keeps providing proof of the kind of man he is. As Samuel Chamberlain reported for The New York Post, “Hunter Biden’s ex-stripper baby mama was on his payroll while pregnant: texts.”

Biden allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a stripper, Lunden Roberts, who worked at the Mpire Club where Biden frequented. Roberts ultimately became pregnant with Biden’s daughter, who was born in August 2018. Biden not only denied that the child was his, but that he had even met Roberts. He also had to be taken to court before he agreed to pay child support, though he made things as difficult as possible for all parties involved. In 2019, Roberts’ daughter was proven to be Biden’s via a DNA test.

Chamberlain’s reporting indicates that Roberts was on his payroll during her pregnancy but then was booted off once she gave birth to their daughter. He points to messages from Hunter Biden’s laptop as proof:

The messages, which are contained on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, shed new light on the relationship between him and Lunden Roberts, who gave birth to their daughter Navy Joan Roberts in August of 2018, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.

Roberts messaged Biden on July 24 of that year to let him know that their child’s due date was Sept. 8. (“Amoeba DD Sep 8, 2018 All Good,” she wrote.), the Mail reported. The message received no response from Hunter.

Hunter Biden’s Ex-Stripper Baby Mama Was on His Payroll While Pregnant: Texts

By New York Post. The former stripper who bore Hunter Biden’s out-of-wedlock child — and who he claims that he has no memory of meeting — was on his consulting firm’s payroll during her pregnancy, text messages retrieved from his laptop reveal.

And the first son made sure she was booted off the company insurance plan months after she gave birth, according to the texts. . .

That December, Hunter Biden messaged assistant Katie Dodge asking for information about his firm, Rosemont Seneca.

“And just for clarification who is pay roll paid to now and for past nine months?” he asked, adding in subsequent messages, “So when you took what’s her name off and re directed her income did it also End my insurance.”
