Hospital ‘Denying Religious Exemptions’ and Firing Unvaccinated Gets Legal Surprise

Methodist Health System in Texas is firing dozens of workers for refusing to take the experimental COVID-19 vaccinations, and is threatening many more, but now is facing resistance in the form of a legal demand letter that accuses officials in the corporation of saying workers can’t have religious exemptions because they believe the “wrong things.”

The demand letter is from Liberty Counsel, which suggests the medical care company utilize only legal reasons for rejecting exemption requests based on religion, or the case could end up in court.

The letter demands the system preserve all records, in case that happens.

“Methodist Health System cannot violate federal and state law and deny employees’ religious exemptions to inject a drug into their body. Health care heroes should not be treated like zeros. Do these hospitals really think that they can operate by reducing so many staff that are entitled to make a personal choice based upon the religious beliefs?” said Liberty Counsel chief Mat Staver. “These irrational mandates will soon cause a national health care crisis because of the reduction of health care workers.”

The situation is that Methodist has ordered its employees to be vaccinated by October 1. If they want an exemption based on their beliefs, they must request that by September 10. (Read more from “Hospital ‘Denying Religious Exemptions’ and Firing Unvaccinated Gets Legal Surprise” HERE)

Here’s How Many Americans Would Quit Their Jobs if Vaccine Became Mandatory

Nearly three-quarters of unvaccinated Americans would quit their jobs if they were required to take a COVID-19 vaccine, according to a poll by the Washington Post and ABC News.

Only 16% of unvaccinated workers would get a COVID shot if required, 35% would ask for a medical or religious exemption and 42% would quit their job, according to the results reported by the Daily Caller.

But if a medical or religious exemption were not available — which essentially is the case for Washington state employees, for example — 72% said they would quit their job.

Just 18%, the poll found, would get the shot.

Meanwhile, a survey of 961 American employers found that 52% will have some sort of vaccine requirement by the end of this year. (Read more from “Here’s How Many Americans Would Quit Their Jobs if Vaccine Became Mandatory” HERE)

Police: U.S. Flags Honoring Troops Killed in Kabul Airport Blast Shredded

Someone vandalized a display of 13 U.S. flags and a U.S. Marine Corps flag honoring troops slain in the Aug. 26 bomb blast in Afghanistan, California police say.

Several of the flags were found shredded and torn Monday hanging from an overpass in Riverside near Los Angeles, police reported on Facebook.

The flags had been hung after an explosion at the Kabul airport killed 13 U.S. troops during the evacuation from Afghanistan. More than 60 Afghans also died in the blast by an Islamic State group in Afghanistan.

“At this point, we don’t have any suspect description but it’s obvious the flags were intentionally damaged,” police wrote. They ask that anyone with information call 951-353-7955.

Officers removed the damaged flags and turned them over to a local Boy Scout troop for proper disposal, police said. (Read more from “Police: U.S. Flags Honoring Troops Killed in Kabul Airport Blast Shredded” HERE)

WATCH: Utility Workers Turn Their Backs on Biden as Presidential Motorcade Passes in Wake of Hurricane Ida Catastrophe

A video showing utility workers turning their backs on President Joe Biden as his motorcade passed them on a Louisiana road in the wake of Hurricane Ida has gone viral — and the workers’ act of defiance has earned them more than a few kudos.

It isn’t clear exactly where and when the cellphone video was recorded, but a New Orleans ambulance passed by after the Biden motorcade, so the back-turn presumably took place somewhere in the vicinity of the Crescent City.

Biden on Friday also delivered remarks in LaPlace, Louisiana — which is about 32 miles northwest of New Orleans — on his administration’s response to Hurricane Ida.

As the motorcade approached, a couple of utility workers watched facing forward —

— but as Biden & Co. drew closer, the pair turned their backs on the president, along with about five other utility workers:

Forced Vaccination? Woman Cites Nursing Manual To Show Giving COVID Vax Without Consent Is Criminal Act (VIDEO)

A woman claiming to be a nurse explained in a video clip posted online how she was taught in class that forcing someone to take a vaccine without their permission is a criminal act in what was perceived to be a reference to COVID-19 jabs.

“In nursing, we are taught about intentional crimes and torts,” the woman begins, speaking to a small group of people gathered in a room.

“Right? That’s what you’re speaking to, informed consent,” she continued, pointing at someone off-camera.

Reading from a piece of paper, she said that “intentional tort is assault and battery.”

Secretary of State ‘Concerned’ Taliban’s Interim Government Not ‘Inclusive’

Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday expressed concern over the interim Taliban government in Afghanistan, calling it not “inclusive” enough.

“We’re assessing the announcement but despite professing that a new government would be inclusive, the announced list of names consist exclusively of individuals or members of the Taliban or their close associates and no women,” Blinken said at a press conference at Ramstein Airbase in Germany.

“We’re also concerned by the affiliations and track records of some of those individuals. We understand that the Taliban has presented this as a caretaker cabinet. We will judge it and them by its actions. The international community’s made clear its expectation that the Afghan people deserve an inclusive government,” he said.

In days before the Biden administration withdrew all U.S. forces and employees from the country last month, it had repeatedly called on the Taliban to form an “inclusive” government.

However, the Taliban announced an interim government on Tuesday that is made up of all males — among whom are senior Taliban leaders who are wanted for attacks against American forces. (Read more from “Secretary of State ‘Concerned’ Taliban’s Interim Government Not ‘Inclusive’” HERE)

GOP Reps. Fined for Not Wearing Masks on House Floor

GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Chip Roy (Texas) have been fined for not wearing masks on the House floor, the Ethics Committee disclosed Wednesday.

Roy has been fined $500, since it is his first documented offense. But Greene was previously fined $500 in May for declining to wear a mask on the House floor, meaning that her latest fine will be $2,500.

House members can file appeals with the Ethics panel to contest the fines, but neither Greene nor Roy did so, according to the committee.

Roy said that he didn’t try to file an appeal because he didn’t think it would go very far, while reserving the possibility to take legal action.

“Filing an appeal to tyrannical overlords is a futile gesture, and — if successful — would leave one without standing to sue, should the mood arise,” Roy said in a statement. (Read more from “GOP Reps. Fined for Not Wearing Masks on House Floor” HERE)

HOSTILE HELLO: Biden Heckled While Touring Damage Caused by Hurricane Ida; Viral Videos Show Football Fans Chant ‘F**K JOE BIDEN’

By New York Post. President Biden on Tuesday traveled to New York and New Jersey to tour areas struck by deadly flooding from Tropical Storm Ida, but he received a hostile reception from many North Jersey residents. . .

In New Jersey, a man in Manville shouted “resign, you tyrant!” as Biden toured a devastated neighborhood.

A pool report indicated the heckler was standing with a Trump flag in his front yard as he shouted at Biden. It was unclear to reporters if Biden could hear the man.

Other pro-Trump protesters had greeted Biden’s motorcade along its route through North Jersey.

A boy was photographed giving the president a middle finger as he drove by and one person held a US flag-turned-protest banner that said “F— Biden And F— You for voting For Him.” (Read more from “Hostile Hello: Biden Heckled in NJ While Touring Damage Caused by Hurricane Ida” HERE)

Taliban Taps Terrorist Wanted by FBI for New Government

A Taliban spokesman on Tuesday announced the appointment of a terrorist on the FBI’s most-wanted list to a cabinet-level position in its new government.

Sirajuddin Haqqani, who is a senior leader in the al Qaeda-aligned Haqqani network of terror groups, will serve in the Taliban’s government as minister of the interior. He is wanted by federal authorities for his involvement in a 2008 bombing in Kabul that killed Thor Hesla, a U.S. citizen. The State Department is offering up to $5 million for information leading to Haqqani’s arrest.

Haqqani authored an op-ed in the New York Times in February 2020, which expressed the demands of the Taliban ahead of talks with U.S. officials in Qatar. (Read more from “Taliban Taps Terrorist Wanted by FBI for New Government” HERE)

Dems Sue After Texas Signs Elections Bill

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Tuesday signed a sweeping overhaul of his state’s election procedures after months of delay caused by Democrats who sought to block the bill they say will disenfranchise voters.

Abbott made the measure his top priority in two special legislative sessions he called over the summer, the first of which ground to a halt when state House Democrats denied majority Republicans a quorum by fleeing to Washington, D.C.

The legislature approved the bill last week and Abbott signed the measure in Tyler, accompanied by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) and Sen. Bryan Hughes (R), the lead Senate sponsor of the measure.

“Election integrity is now law in the state of Texas,” Abbott said.

The measure bars round-the-clock polling stations and places new restrictions on drive-thru voting and voting by mail. It will give more authority to partisan poll watchers who can observe an election, and it increases the requirements for identification voters must show when they cast a ballot.
