Sex Slave Cult Ran out of College Dorm by Ex-Best Friend of NYC Police Commissioner

The father of a former student at Sarah Lawrence College in New York was arrested Tuesday after he was accused of running a sex cult out of his daughter’s dorm room.

Lawrence Ray, 60, an ex-convict whose best man at his wedding was former New York Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik, was charged with nine counts of sex trafficking, extortion, forced labor and money laundering, authorities said. . .

Investigators said at a morning news conference that Ray drained $1 million from the bank accounts of college kids, while subjecting them to psychological torture. The cult included forced labor, prostitution, and mentally and physically abusing his male and female victims, prosecutors said.

“Ray put a knife to one male victim’s throat, brandished a knife and threatened to dismember another male victim, grabbed a third male victim around the neck until he passed out, slapped a female victim and grabbed another female victim by her head before shoving her to the ground,” Geoffrey Berman, the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York, said. “After enduring Ray’s abuse, seven of his victims falsely confessed to having harmed or attempted to harm Ray. Ray, who sometimes recorded these false confessions, then used these false confessions to extort money from his victims.”

Investigators said some of Ray’s alleged victims “drained hundreds of thousands of dollars from their parents’ savings accounts at Ray’s direction” while others opened lines of credit or solicited contributions from acquaintances. Police Report Reveals Why Anti-Trump Van Driver Targeted GOP Voter Registration Tent

The man who allegedly drove his van through a Republican voter registration tent in Florida did so because he dislikes President Donald Trump, according to a copy of the police report reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Gregory William Loel Timm, the alleged driver, showed police videos he recorded on his phone up until he plowed through the tent on Saturday, the report stated.

The suspect told police he drove through the tent — narrowly missing two volunteers who moved out of the way — because “someone had to take a stand,” according to the report.

“He willingly showed a video to us on his phone that was him talking prior to driving into the tent. He was a few aisles over in the parking lot. The suspect then showed another video to us of him driving towards the tent with the victims standing in front of the tent,” the report stated. . .

“The assailant’s own confession makes it clear that Saturday was a deliberate and politically motivated attack on supporters of President Trump,” Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement to the DCNF.

Decriminalization of Drugs Fueling Meth and Homelessness in California

In one breath, liberals say we need to decriminalize drugs and open up the prisons. In the next breath, they shed crocodile tears over the drug crisis and homelessness. The same people who demand that Congress and state governments spend even more money to “combat” the twin drug and homelessness crises never seem to connect the dots back to their decriminalization policies or admit that they are causing a rise in crime. One journalist in California is not scared to pin the tail on the donkey – in the case of the Golden State, the infamous Prop 47.

Right around 2014-2015 is when the drug crisis exploded nationwide, including in California, roughly around the same time homelessness soared, particularly in the Golden State, along with the rise in theft and other crimes. What else happened around the same time? California passed Prop 47, which downgraded drug and theft crimes. The result was a logical consequence to an illogical policy.

Bill Lamb, VP and general manager of Fox 11 in Los Angeles, delivered a TV commentary last week pinning the blame for the homeless and drug problems squarely on Prop 47. “We’re all asking ourselves, ‘Why has homelessness and drug addiction exploded recently? What has changed?’” said Lamb in the commentary that drew criticism from local politicians. “Well, Prop 47 was sold to voters under the shamefully misleading name ‘Safe Schools and Neighborhoods Act’ in late 2014. While it did make good on its pledge to reduce prison and jail populations by thousands of inmates, it left thousands of people on the streets who were not arrested for felony drug use.”

Quoting Bill Bodner, the special agent in charge of the DEA in Los Angeles, he said, “‘There’s no hammer now. Now they get a ticket, they tear it up, they walk away, and they’re using drugs the same day, again, so it has not worked.’”

This comes on the heels of Fox 11’s report that was circulated widely around the country last week that L.A. has a major meth problem fueled by the CJNG cartel.

The results have been devastating. FOX 11 filmed video on one afternoon across the street from LAPD’s Central Division in downtown Los Angeles, showing multiple addicts shooting up or smoking meth in public. In one video, a man approached another man who was smoking meth, asked him for some, took a hit, and then kept going on his way. A hooded drug dealer also approached the FOX 11 crew, offering to sell crystal meth.

The L.A. paradigm demonstrates once again that this is not an opioid crisis. This is an illicit drug crisis, and in many parts of the country, such as California, the non-opioid meth is a bigger problem than heroin. Meth is a psychostimulant, the opposite of a depressant, which again shows that this is not being fueled by pain medication but by illicit drug trafficking servicing a declining culture and criminal underworld. Meth, which is the last thing on the mind of a stable chronic pain patient, caused more deaths in 19 western states in recent years than heroin. Cocaine, another psychostimulant, is also a fast-growing problem.

The two culprits are the decriminalization of drug trafficking and the sanctuary cities that harbor criminal alien networks and gangs distributing the drugs for Mexican cartels such as CJNG. It’s not surprising that the political elites would rather focus on the rabbit hole of health care and pain management than on illicit drugs, because it would implicate the two biggest culprits that are sacred to the left-wing agenda – open borders and “criminal justice reform.”

As DEA special agent in charge Bill Bodner told Fox 11, “LA’s street gangs then act as intermediaries with the cartel, breaking up the meth and putting it out to street dealers. Those street dealers then prey upon the addicts in Los Angeles.”

As I’ve reported extensively over the past few years, many of these gangs are being fueled and refilled by the endless flow of illegal aliens, particularly unaccompanied alien children being resettled as UAC refugees. This is why, not coincidentally, the drug crisis took off right around 2014, when the UAC crisis from Central America commenced. That California is not only harboring illegal alien gangs but also becoming weaker on domestic law enforcement, particularly drug trafficking, is a recipe for disaster that now includes homelessness.

According to HUD, homelessness increased by 16.4 percent last year in California, accounting for the entire national increase. The total homeless population is now estimated at 151,000. In 2013, California passed the “Trust Act,” which barred local law enforcement from cooperating with ICE, and in 2014, it enacted Prop 47 to downgrade drug crimes. The homeless population in California has more than doubled since then, even though it had been declining steadily for a number of years before that.

Last September, when California Governor Gavin Newsom requested more federal funds to deal with homelessness, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson sent a letter telling him to essentially stop causing the problem in the first place. “Your letter seeks more Federal dollars for California from hardworking American taxpayers but fails to admit that your State and local policies have played a major role in creating the current crisis,” wrote Carson.

Even Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti agrees that Prop 47 is a joke. He said the following in an interview with Fox 11:

If somebody gets arrested, they’re not going to serve any time in jail. If they do serve time in jail, they’re not going to be prosecuted. If they do get prosecuted they’re not going to be sentenced, and if they are sentenced they’re out right away. It’s a broken system. I’ve been unafraid to say that. I know sometimes because I’m a Democrat people think that’s the wrong talking point. I was somebody who didn’t endorse Prop 47, because I had worries it was the cart before the horse. I think we all can agree, somebody shouldn’t be on our dime away for two decades. But if there’s no consequence at all, and if people can’t be diverted into treatment, you see the results on the streets of LA.

The border, sanctuaries, jailbreak “reform” policies, gangs, crime, drugs, and homelessness are all tied together, creating one living nightmare for our communities. Sadly, it’s a man-made problem. (Read more from “Decriminalization of Drugs Fueling Meth and Homelessness in California” HERE)

Man Charged With Attempted Assassination of Police Officers Was out on Parole DESPITE Rap Sheet (VIDEO)

People like Robert Williams, 45, need to be locked up for life. He is among those of whom Reagan observed that liberals wrongly posit “a belief that there was nothing permanent or absolute about man’s nature” and that by changing his environment “we could permanently change man and usher in a great new age.” Yet he was allowed to remain on the streets despite violating his parole. Now he is charged with attempting to assassinate a group of NYPD officers over the weekend and is still making threats from his hospital bed.

If not for the grace of God, there would likely be numerous dead NYPD officers as a result of two shootings over the weekend in the Bronx, where Williams allegedly targeted cops for assassination in separate incidents. In the first incident, he is accused of walking up to a police van on Saturday night and firing two shots at the two police officers in the van before fleeing the scene. Officer Paul Straffolino was hit in the neck and chin, but according to Police Chief Dermot Shea, the bullet narrowly missed his carotid artery, so he’s expected to make a full recovery.

While police were searching for Williams on Sunday morning, he allegedly walked into a police station on Longwood Ave. in the Bronx and opened fire. One bullet struck Officer Jose Gautreaux in the arm. After Williams ran out of bullets, he threw himself on the floor in surrender, according to police, and officers subdued him. The incident was caught on three surveillance cameras.

Williams was taken to Lincoln Hospital for his injuries on Sunday. According to prosecutors at Monday’s arraignment, he even threatened to target more cops while he was lying injured in the hospital bed. He’s charged with 13 accounts of attempted murder from both incidents over the weekend.

Evidently, Williams’ beef with New York cops stems from an incident in 2018 in which they had to taze him while he was resisting arrest. Which brings us to the key point – Williams had a history of committing the most violent crimes, but was out on the streets violating his parole. This is essentially the story of our criminal justice system, which is regarded as too punitive by liberals.

In 1992, Williams was arrested for stabbing someone during a robbery in the Bronx and doesn’t appear to have served much time in prison. He was arrested again for possessing a machine gun in 1999, but was paroled once again. These liberal cities are banning law-abiding citizens from carrying simple 9mm handguns, yet they won’t imprison violent felons caught with machine guns!

Fast-forward to 2002, when he was convicted for attempted murder after he shot someone multiple times during a carjacking. He crashed the car and got into a shootout with NY police. He was paroled after 14 years, but was again back to his criminal ways. In November 2018, he was arrested for DUI when he was caught driving while high on PCP. He resisted arrest and had to be tazed by officers. He was released back on the streets in January 2019, despite the egregious parole violation.

It’s only due to God’s providence that cops didn’t die over the weekend as a result of those decisions. However, with the growing animosity towards cops and criminal justice fostered by New York Democrats, some police officers feel like they are under siege by their own government. In a tweet following the attacks on Sunday, the Sergeants Benevolent Association, which represents 13,000 current and retired NYPD sergeants, placed the blame squarely on Mayor Bill de Blasio and promised to go to war with him politically.

This comes at a time when DeBlasio has dramatically curtailed stop and frisk and has targeted the Rikers Island jail facility for elimination, thereby further endangering cops on the streets with the release of thousands of violent criminals. This, along with the so-called bail reform, has led to a rise in crime and attacks on cops.

“Good luck and kind words are not enough to keep police officers or the public safe,” said Police Benevolent Association President Patrick J. Lynch in a statement. “Our elected officials need to start listening to us and working with us — not against us — to fix the deteriorating environment on our streets.” (For more from the author of “Man Charged With Attempted Assassination of Police Officers Was out on Parole Despite Rap Sheet” please click HERE)

Couple Charged After Allegedly Letting Baby Die After Failed Self-Induced Late-Term Abortion

By The Blaze. A couple in Ohio are facing charges after allegedly self-inducing a late-term abortion with mail-order medication from India and leaving their baby to die and putting the child’s body in a shoebox. . .

According to Hayes, Gillum took the pills while in her third trimester at either 28 or 29 weeks pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy in the bathroom of her and Mull’s apartment.

“At no time did either one of them ever call 911 or seek emergency medical treatment for the child,” Hayes wrote.

The next day, the two went to the hospital, where medical staff contacted law enforcement. Officers then went to their home and found the child’s body in a shoebox inside of a trash bag, Hayes said. The prosecutor also said that the two planned together to order the drugs and terminate the pregnancy, knowing Gillum was in her third trimester. . .

A child born prematurely at 28 or 29 weeks gestation has a very high chance of surviving outside of the womb if given proper medical attention. According to information from the University of Utah, the survival rate for premature babies born at 28 weeks gestation is between 80% and 90%. Heath Couple Indicted on Involuntary Manslaughter Charge for Allegedly Terminating Pregnancy

By NBC 4i. A man and woman have been indicted on charges they allegedly terminated the woman’s pregnancy by taking medication they ordered from India, after which they allegedly hid the baby’s corpse in a shoebox.

Kalina V.E. Gillum and Braden C. Mull have been indicted on one count each of involuntary manslaughter, child endangering, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse. . .

According to Licking County Prosecuting Attorney William Hayes, on Sept. 18, 2019, Gillum took 12 misoprostol tablets she and Mull ordered from India with the intention to “induce labor and terminate Gillum’s pregnancy,” Hayes wrote in a press release. . .

According to Hayes, on Sept. 19, Gillum gave birth to a male child in the bathroom of the apartment she shared with Mull.

“At no time did either one of them ever call 911 or seek emergency medical treatment for the child,” Hayes wrote. (Read more from “Heath Couple Indicted on Involuntary Manslaughter Charge for Allegedly Terminating Pregnancy” HERE)

Fire Captain Suspended Without Pay for Rushing Into Burning House to Save 95-Year-Old Woman (VIDEO)

A Georgia fire captain has been suspended from his job because he ran inside a burning house to rescue a 95-year-old woman. . .

Atlanta Fire Captain Daniel Thomas Dwyer was suspended without pay this week because he broke “protocol” when he heroically rushed into the burning home of 95-year-old Sally Skrine last June, WXIA-TV reported. . .

WXIA obtained Dwyer’s disciplinary report, which states, “You entered the structure without your crew members which is in immediate conflict with no freelancing, accountability and maintaining crew integrity.”

Paul Gerdis, the head of the fire union, told WAGA-TV that Dwyer made a “split-second” decision to enter the burning home because the intensity of the blaze significantly decreased the survival chances of any occupants. Gerdis said Dwyer’s suspension “sends the wrong message.” (Read more from “Atlanta Fire Captain Suspended Without Pay for Rushing Into Burning House to Save 95-Year-Old Woman” HERE)

U.S. Hospital Discharges Patient ‘Cleared’ of Coronavirus, Tests Positive the Next Day

UC San Diego Health, a regional research hospital that specializes in deadly and infectious diseases, released four patients Sunday after the Center for Disease Control informed the hospital that the patients had tested negative for coronavirus. One of the patients, however, was returned to the hospital on Monday after the CDC performed further testing, and realized that the patient did, in fact, have the disease.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the four patients had been transported to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California, where they were previously held under federal quarantine along with over 200 Americans returning from China.

A spokesperson for the university told the Tribune that the patient who was prematurely discharged continued to follow protocols necessary to minimize the risk of infecting others, and had been transported back to the marine base under federal supervision.

“The patient left UC San Diego Health the same way they arrived, with all precautions taken. The patient was wearing a mask per CDC instruction. The federal marshals transported the patient while wearing protection,” the spokesperson told the news agency. . .

In the last 24 hours, the World Health Organization has created a moniker for Coronavirus, COVID-19. According to The New York Times, the organization says the name was created to avoid the stigma of identifying the disease with a particular location, animal, or group, while still keeping a pronounceable name. Democrat Drops out of 2020 Race Following New Hampshire Results; Here’s the Dem Front-Runner; Things Aren’t Looking Good for Biden

By Daily Wire. Democrat presidential candidate Andrew Yang dropped out of the presidential race on Tuesday after early returns from the New Hampshire primary showed another poor outing for the far-left candidate.

“I am a numbers guy,” Yang told The Washington Post. “In most of these [upcoming] states, I’m not going to be at a threshold where I get delegates, which makes sticking around not necessarily helpful or productive in terms of furthering the goals of this campaign.”

“If I become persuaded that there’s a particular candidate that gives us a superior chance of beating Donald Trump, and I think it’s important to make that opinion known, then I would consider it for sure,” Yang continued. “Anyone with a crystal ball would have regarded Iowa as a bit of a sinkhole. If we could do it over again, of course, we would not have sunk so much energy and time and resources in Iowa. We would have been fighting it out here in New Hampshire. And then we probably would have been on the air in Nevada or South Carolina.”

Yang added, “I’m not someone who wants to take people’s donations, support, time and dedication if I don’t think we have a chance to win or advance our goals in the right direction.” (Read more from “Democrat Drops out of 2020 Race Following New Hampshire Results” HERE)

Sanders Edges out Buttigieg to Win New Hampshire, as Klobuchar Surges to Third

By Fox News. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has won the New Hampshire primary, Fox News projects, catapulting the 78-year-old self-described democratic socialist to the front of the still-crowded Democratic presidential primary field.

Sanders had been leading top rival Pete Buttigieg and several other candidates as results came in throughout the evening, though only by a fraction of his 22-point margin of victory over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 New Hampshire primary. Buttigieg, meanwhile, touted his strong performance as a sign that his campaign was “here to stay.”

“Thank you New Hampshire,” Sanders told cheering supporters late Tuesday, saying his campaign had won a “great victory.” . . .

New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary came days after Sanders won the popular vote in the botched Iowa caucuses. Buttigieg took home more delegates from that contest, however.

At the same time, Buttigieg wasn’t the only Democrat standing between Sanders and the nomination. A late-surging Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar landed in third place in New Hampshire as votes continued coming in. (Read more from “Sanders Edges out Buttigieg to Win New Hampshire, as Klobuchar Surges to Third” HERE)

Biden vows comeback in South Carolina, after distant New Hampshire finish

By Fox News. Former Vice President Joe Biden vowed a comeback Tuesday as he hosted a kick-off rally for what could be the make-or-break leg of his campaign in South Carolina, after a distant finish in New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary.

Biden abruptly announced Tuesday morning that he wouldn’t spend primary night in New Hampshire as planned and would instead host the event in South Carolina — the state he’s long considered his campaign firewall.

But even after early New Hampshire results posted — showing him badly trailing the leaderboard of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn. — the former vice president still confidently asserted Tuesday night that he would be able to pull out a win.

“We just heard from the first two of 50 states. Not all the nation. Not half the nation. Not a quarter of the nation. Not 10 percent,” Biden said at his South Carolina event. “Where I come from, that’s the opening bell, not the closing bell.” . . .

Neither Biden nor Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., was positioned to finish in the top three positions in New Hampshire, according to an early Fox News Voter Analysis. (Read more from “Biden vows comeback in South Carolina, after distant New Hampshire finish” HERE)

Democrats Prefer Meteor Wiping out Humanity Over Trump Re-Election; Dems Experiencing High Anxiety About Beating Trump

By Newsweek. Nearly two-thirds of likely New Hampshire Democratic primary voters said they would prefer a life-extinguishing meteor strike against the Earth over President Donald Trump being re-elected in November.

Sixty-two percent of Democrats in New Hampshire, whose primary will take place on Tuesday, responded to a University of Massachusetts-Lowell survey by saying they’d prefer human extinction over a second Trump term. An even higher percentage (69 percent) of people making less than $50,000 a year and female voters agreed that a giant meteor is preferable to the president getting re-elected on November 3, 2020. Independent voters surveyed also expressed relatively large support for the meteor strike, with just over half supporting Trump over extinction.

The UMass-Lowell survey of 400 likely Democratic primary voters asked respondents: “Which of the following outcomes would you prefer to occur on November 3, 2020? – Donald Trump wins re-election or a giant meteor strikes the earth, extinguishing all human life?” . . .

Only thirty-eight percent of those who responded chose Trump over the deaths of themselves and all of humanity. Seventy-two percent of those polled who identified with a “conservative ideology” said they would prefer the president is re-elected later this year. Only 31 percent of moderates said they would favor Trump’s re-election. (Read more from “Majority of Democrats Prefer Meteor Wiping out Humanity Over Trump Re-Election” HERE)

In New Hampshire, High Anxiety About Beating Trump

By The Hill. New Hampshire Democrats are on edge ahead of Tuesday’s primary and feeling immense pressure to pick the candidate with the best chance of defeating President Trump.

The anxiety over who is best equipped to defeat Trump has blotted out the policy battles and put electability at the forefront of voter minds to an unusual degree.

At town halls and forums across the state, the presidential candidates are being challenged by voters, who above all want to be convinced that their contenders have the ability to go one-on-one with the president.

The new fears about beating Trump come after one of the president’s best weeks since he took office; he was acquitted by the Senate in his impeachment trial, and polls show his job approval rating reaching new highs amid voter optimism about the economy.

Democrats, meanwhile, are fresh off the Iowa caucus debacle and facing the potential for a long primary fight. (Read more from “In New Hampshire, High Anxiety About Beating Trump” HERE)

WATCH: Chinese Ambassador Asked If Coronavirus Came From Biological Warfare Program; Coronavirus Has Killed More People Than SARS

By Daily Wire. The Chinese Ambassador to the United States, Cui Tiankai, appeared to not deny that the coronavirus came from China’s biological warfare program on Sunday and instead suggested that the deadly virus could have come from a military lab in the U.S.

Tiankai made the remarks on CBS News’ “Face The Nation” in response to China’s struggle to stop the coronavirus from continuing to spread. It has now infected at least 37,198 and killed at least 811 in China.

“This week, Senator Tom Cotton, who sits on the Senate Intelligence and Armed Services Committee, suggested that the virus may have come from China’s biological warfare program,” CBS News’ Margaret Brennan said. “That’s an extraordinary charge. How do you respond to that?”

“I think it’s true that a lot is still unknown and our scientists, Chinese scientists, American scientists, scientists of other countries are doing their best to learn more about the virus, but it’s very harmful,” Cui responded. “It’s very dangerous to stir up suspicion, rumors and spread them among the people. For one thing, this will create panic. Another thing that it will fend up racial discrimination, xenophobia, all these things, that will really harm our joint efforts to combat the virus.”

“Of course, there are all kinds of speculation and rumors,” Cui continued. “There are people who are saying that these virus are coming from some — some military lab, not of China, maybe in the United States. How — how can we believe all these crazy things?”

Coronavirus Has Killed More People Than SARS

By Market Watch. Two months into the epidemic, the coronavirus has proven to be more deadly than the SARS virus, but the fatality rate of the coronavirus is still less than one-quarter that of SARS. That, however, may also help explain why it’s spreading so quickly.

There are now 37,198 confirmed cases of coronavirus worldwide and at least 811 people have died, according to the latest figures from China’s National Health Commission released Sunday; 89 deaths and 2,656 new cases were reported over the previous 24-hour period.

The majority of illnesses and deaths are in Hubei Province where Wuhan — believed to be the epicenter of the outbreak — is located. The illness has now spread to 25 countries. (The World Health Organization has declared a global health emergency.)

There are 12 confirmed cases in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. An additional 14 Americans were confirmed to have contracted the virus; they are passengers on the quarantined cruise ship, the Diamond Princess, which arrived at a port in Yokohama, Japan on Sunday morning, Japan’s health ministry said. One of the 14 is a woman in her 70s who has joint Hong Kong residency and U.S. citizenship. Several cruise lines have issued quarantines for ships currently at sea, and have tested passengers for coronavirus. (Read more from “Coronavirus Has Killed More People Than SARS” HERE)
