New Year’s Resolution: 99 Million Americans Want to Save, Get out of Debt in 2020

As Americans usher in 2020, millions say they are making a New Year’s resolution to improve their financial status.

The personal finance website WalletHub conducted a nationwide survey of almost 500 people between Dec. 2 and Dec. 6 to ask about the kind of New Year’s resolution they are making.

The survey reveals that almost 99 million Americans are vowing to improve their finances, with the No. 1 resolution for men to save money and for women to pay off debt. . .

WalletHub CEO Odysseas Papadimitriou said:

The top New Year’s financial resolutions that people should make for 2020 are to pay off existing credit card debt and to save as much as possible. I’m predicting that 2020 will be a very strong year for the economy. But we shouldn’t forget that it’s only a matter of time until the next recession, and now is the time to strengthen our financial foundation.

Bloomberg Created a Secret Tech Company Chock-Full of Former Facebook Execs to Take on Trump

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg created a secretive tech company before he entered the 2020 presidential election that was designed to help Democrats win congressional seats in 2018, CNBC reported Monday.

The former New York City mayor is using Hawkfish to help collect data on voters and promote his run for president, the report noted, citing communication with a spokeswoman with the Bloomberg campaign. Two former Facebook big wigs are involved in the venture.

Hawkfish will be the “primary digital agency and technology services provider for the campaign,” Julie Wood, the spokeswoman, told reporters. The firm “is now providing digital ad services, including content creation, ad placement and analytics,” she added.

“Hawkfish appears to have been assembled in secret. It has no public website. A search of elections databases turned up no financial records connected to work for other Democratic causes,” CNBC noted in its report, which also noted that Hawkfish will help Democrats running for office. . .

Former Facebook Chief Marketing Officer Gary Briggs is one of Hawkfish’s top lieutenants, the report noted. Briggs is not the only Facebook alum joining the cause. The former vice president of operations, Mike Buckley, also announced on Dec. 10 that he is joining Bloomberg’s team. WATCH: Bloomberg’s New 2020 Ad Is Full of Lies

On Monday, former New York City Mayor and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg tweeted out a wildly misleading campaign ad.

Above the video, Bloomberg wrote: “21 students are shot every day – because of Trump’s unwillingness to act. Between protecting the NRA and our children, he’s made his choice. Which is why we need to beat him.”

The video, which was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday, features various clips of President Trump speaking about gun safety before on-screen text reads: “Here’s every school shooting since Trump took office.” . . .

Here’s the problem – “school shooting” is a subjective phrase with no commonly understood objective definition. What this means in practice is that any time a firearm is discharged at or near a school, it can be labeled a “school shooting.” . . .

Among the “school shootings” listed in Bloomberg’s video are multiple suicides (at least one of which just happened to take place in a school parking lot) and unintentional firearm discharges. A mass-casualty event like the May 2018 Santa Fe High School shooting in which ten people were murdered is listed alongside these other incidents as though in the same vein. Biden Breaks Down in Tears at Fundraiser Over ‘Ugly’ 2020 Fight With Trump

Joe Biden cried at a Delaware campaign fundraiser and said he is preparing for an “ugly” fight against President Trump in a general election.

“This is going to be really difficult,” Biden said Tuesday in Wilmington, Delaware, according to a pool report. “But we’re strong. The whole family is strong. I don’t take well to bullies.”

The former vice president and his son Hunter Biden, 49, are a key element of the impeachment proceedings against Trump due to Hunter Biden’s role on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma while Joe Biden spearheaded U.S. policy toward Ukraine. Trump asked the Ukrainian president to investigate the arrangement, prompting House Democrats to pursue impeachment on the basis of abusing power to influence a foreign government to harm a political rival. . .

About a minute into his speech, Biden cried and dabbed his eye, explaining that he was “little emotional” being back in the state that he represented in the Senate for 36 years and among those who stood by him when there was a “target” on him early in his campaign.

“The way the African American community has stuck by me in this state is absolutely amazing,” Biden said, referencing scrutiny over his work with segregationist senators in the 1970s. California Sen. Kamala Harris, who ended her presidential bid earlier this month, criticized Biden in a June presidential primary debate for his opposition to busing. Every Qualifying Dem Candidate Threatens to Boycott Debate

Every Democratic presidential candidate who has met the threshold for participating in next week’s primary debate has threatened to skip the event, after it came to light that the venue owner is currently in a labor dispute with its food workers’ union. . .

The debate is scheduled to take place next Thursday at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, but the union representing the school’s food service workers announced Friday that contract negotiations with the university broke down.

“Now the leading contenders for the Democratic nomination will be greeted with picket lines at their replacement venue,” the union threatened, after noting that the debate had already been moved from a prior location due to a separate labor dispute.

Each of the seven qualifying candidates reacted by promising not to cross the picket line. Former Vice President Joe Biden, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, businessman Andrew Yang, billionaire Tom Steyer, and Sens. Amy Klobuchar (Minn.), Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and Elizabeth Warren (Mass.). all voiced their support of the union and promised not to enter the venue if the workers’ protest was still ongoing. A New 2020 Poll Doesn’t Look Good for President Trump

A national poll released Tuesday on the 2020 election shows Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders beating President Donald Trump by eight points.

According to Quinnipiac, Sanders beats Trump 51-43 in a head-to-head competition, while other Democratic candidates like Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren are also beating Trump, 51-42 and 50-43, respectively.

Moreover, even Democratic candidates with less support in the primary are beating Trump, such as South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Democratic Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar. . .

Poll Reveals New 2020 Frontrunner, but this One isn’t Even in the Race

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton would be the leading choice among registered Democrat voters for the White House if she jumped into the crowded primary field, according to a recently released poll.

The latest Harvard-Harris presidential poll shows Clinton at 21 percent support, edging out former Vice President Joe Biden with 20 percent. The survey shows Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in third place with 12 percent and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) placing fourth at nine percent. Tied for fifth place with fice percent support are South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D) and former Secretary of State John Kerry, who has ruled out a White House bid of his own and recently thrown his support behind Biden.

In a survey with Clinton removed from the roster of candidates to choose from, Biden is Democrat voters’ top pick with 29 percent, with Sanders at 16 percent. Warren placed third at 13 percent, while Buttigieg takes eight percent in fourth. Tied for fifth place is Bloomberg, a late entry to the 2020 field, and Kerry, garnering five percent each.

The Next Democrat President Must Be Impeached

I am of the opinion that the next Democrat president must be impeached.

That’s the only way to stop this.

If the Republicans control the House, they must impeach the next Democrat President to ensure this sort of thing is never repeated.

The next Democrat President must be impeached? What are grounds? It doesn’t matter.

With Trump, they were talking impeachment when he was a candidate. They were talking impeachment the day he got elected. I told you, this is all sham. It’s a scam. It’s a ruse.

The only way to stop them is to turn the political and impeachment guns on them.

The next Democrat president must be impeached.

The Republican Congress can take a page from Nadler, from Waters, from Engel, from Schiff and all the rest.

They should issue scores and scores of subpoenas. Scores of subpoenas, for financial information, for bank records, for tax information; all kinds of communications with, around and about the president; issue subpoenas for the president’s White House Counsel, Chief of Staff, National Security Adviser, and other people who are closest to the president so he ceases to function.

You want to burden this Democrat president as much as possible. You want to undermine him as much as possible.

And you can wave around the Pelosi doctrine, the Schiff doctrine, the Nadler doctrine, and all the rest of them. Use their rules and take him down.

Do the Republicans have the guts to do so? I doubt it, but they must.

It is the only way to fix the Constitutional order when it comes to impeachment, because the Democrats are creating this precedent.

Now let them eat it.

Joe Biden would be the perfect Democrat president to be impeached.

Start subpoenaing all of his records; all of his phone calls with Ukraine, all of his phone calls with Red China.

You bring Hunter Biden in for 30 hours of secret testimony, like they brought Don Jr. in.

You create a special counsel, the way they created a special counsel against President Trump.

You demand Joe Biden testify in person and, when he refuses, you claim he has something to hide.

Imagine using their tools and their rhetoric against their guy. Or gal, it could be Elizabeth Warren, another liar. She’s another one with interesting finances. Well, we want to get to the bottom of it.

The next Democrat president must be impeached.

And Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff and Nadler and the others; CNN, the Washington Post, the New York Times, ABC and the others; they have all laid the foundation.

And the only way to stop this is to destroy their foundation with their guy or their lady.

Did Biden Use Another Racial Slur?

Former Vice President Joe Biden is refusing to explain what he meant when he used the term “roaches” at the renaming of a community pool in 2017. . .

The event, meant to recognize the former vice president’s contributions to Wilmington, was centered around the renaming of a public pool at which Biden worked in his youth. Things took a strange turn, however, when the former vice president began to share personal stories from his time as a lifeguard at the pool.

“By the way, you know, I sit on the stand, and it get[s] hot,” Biden said, flanked by children from the local community. “I got a lot, I got hairy legs that turn blonde in the sun, and the kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come back up again. They’d look at it.”

Video of Biden telling the crowd about his “wet leg hair” caused a stir when it resurfaced on social media last week. Many, seeing Biden’s comments for the first time, found them inappropriate and “creepy.” Even more people, however, were perplexed by another portion of the former vice president’s speech, one that seemed out of place with everything else said that day.

“So I learned about roaches, I learned about kids jumping on my lap,” the former vice president told the audience in Delaware. “And I loved kids jumping on my lap.”

WATCH: Hillary Clinton Drops Biggest Hint yet That She’s Mulling a 2020 Presidential Run

The strongest indicator yet that Hillary’s mulling a 2020 run? She appeared Wednesday, for the first time ever, on Howard Stern. . .

As those who listen to the show know, Stern publicly begged Hillary to appear during the 2016 campaign. After Donald Trump won, Stern said one guest shot could have moved the needle her way.

“If she had come on the show . . .,” Stern mused in May. “The way I helped Donald was I let him come on and be a personality. Whether you liked him or not . . . people related to him as a human being.”

Hillary, it’s clear, was after exactly that — relatability, long her white whale.

One can only ask: Why now, if she has no plans to run yet again?
