Five Candidates Could Win Delegates in New Hampshire for First Time

Five Democratic candidates will likely earn delegates in Tuesday’s primary in New Hampshire for the first time, Karl Rove noted on Fox News Sunday.

That reflects a close race among several frontrunners, each of whom will win something in the proportional vote — and each of whom hopes the Granite State will fuel their campaign for the weeks ahead.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is the favorite to win, as he did in 2016. He has the advantage of being a familiar face from next-door Vermont. He also has devoted followers, who have been packing town hall meetings in the state for months. . .

Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg has not been a factor until the last few months, but he surged in November and briefly held a lead in New Hampshire in December, according to the RealClearPolitics poll averages. He has a large campaign war chest and an army of volunteers. A second-place finish would help him stay among the leaders; a win could transform the race.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is struggling, and telegraphed in Friday’s debate that he does not expect to win in the state, even though he was the early frontrunner. If he finishes in the top three, he will still be competitive in the crucial Nevada caucuses (Feb. 22) and the South Carolina primary (Feb. 29), where he has a “firewall” of African-American support. But if Biden finishes fourth or worse in New Hampshire, that firewall might not last. (Read more from “Five Candidates Could Win Delegates in New Hampshire for First Time” HERE)

WATCH: Democratic Strategist Hammers His Party in Blistering Interview

Well-known Democratic strategist James Carville continued to sound the alarm to his party that they are heading to defeat in 2020 if they don’t shape up and stop steering so far left. . .

“Look, the turnout in the Iowa caucus was below what we expected, what we wanted. Trump’s approval rating is probably as high as it’s been. This is very bad. And now it appears the party can’t even count votes. What the hell am I supposed to think?” Carville asked rhetorically.

“I’ll just say it this way: The fate of the world depends on the Democrats getting their shit together and winning in November. We have to beat Trump. And so far, I don’t like what I see. And a lot of people I talk to feel the same way,” he explained. . .

Carville did not want to name who was to blame for the extremism in the Democratic party, but he contrasted the current state of the party to their victory in the midterm elections of 2018.

“I don’t know. We just had an election in 2018. We did great. We talked about everything we needed to talk about, and we won. And now it’s like we’re losing our damn minds. Someone’s got to step their game up here.

Democrats Release Iowa Caucus Results

Chaos erupted on Tuesday after Democrats only released 62% of the caucus results from Monday night’s Iowa caucuses, which showed that Pete Buttigieg won the most delegates despite not getting as many votes as Bernie Sanders. . .

Chaos initially erupted on Monday night when the Iowa Democratic Party said in a statement that it “found inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results.”

Immediately following the announcement that the results were not going to be announced on Monday night, Buttigieg rushed to declare himself the winner of the contest.

“What a night. Because tonight, an improbable hope became an undeniable reality,” Buttigieg told his supporters, according to CNN. “So we don’t know all the results, but we know by the time, it’s all said and done, Iowa you have shocked the nation. Because by all indications, we are going on to New Hampshire victorious.”

Shortly after Buttigieg’s speech, speculation began to swirl around the app that was used that reportedly had the problem and the company that developed the app. (Read more from “Democrats Release Iowa Caucus Results” HERE)

WATCH: Kansas City Chiefs Player Wears Pro-Trump Ensemble to Super Bowl Press Conference

2020 is looking up to be the year that celebrities let their MAGA pride flag fly for all to see. After Joy Villa wowed everyone in her pro-Trump dress at the Grammy Awards this past weekend, Frank Clark, defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs, wore some Trump swag of his own during a Super Bowl press conference last Friday. The big moment went viral on social media Thursday when Benny Johnson shared footage of the moment on Twitter. Take a look:

The sweater features a photo of the moment when President Trump met rap icon Kanye West at Trump Tower in Manhattan shortly after the 2016 election.

“I got my good friend in L.A. At Zero’s; it’s a clothing store,” he told reporters after they asked him to explain his sweater. “I’ll never forget. You all know the moment when Donald Trump met Kanye. A historical moment in our history.” . . .

Whether or not Frank Clark would visit the White House in the event of Kansas City winning the Super Bowl remains to be seen. Last week, however, 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman said that he most likely would not visit the White House if his team squeaked out a Sunday victory. 2020 Dem Calls out DNC for Declining Fox News Invite to Host Debate

Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang is criticizing the decision made by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) not to allow Fox News to host any of its presidential primary debates.

“One thing I think Democrats should do,” Yang began, “I think we should go on Fox News and talk to the American people because how can you win an election and bring the people together when you won’t talk to 40 or 50 percent of the population?”

Yang’s comments set him apart from most of his fellow Democratic rivals who, instead of seeking to bring the country together, are moving further and further to the left in an effort to woo Democratic primary voters.

“And this is something I would say as critical of the DNC,” Yang added. “You know these DNC debates that have been going on? You’ve probably caught them by accident. There was a decision early on in the process where Fox News said, ‘we’d like to host a DNC debate.’ And to me, if you’re the DNC, you jump at that. You’re like, ‘let me show my candidates to people who generally watch Fox News.’ But the DNC turned it down! I was like, what are you doing?”

Even Obama’s Former Campaign Manager Says Democrats Shouldn’t Nominate Bernie

Former President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign manager, Jim Messina, has a message for Democrats seeking to dethrone President Donald Trump in 2020: don’t nominate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

Messina made the comments in an interview with Politico, published Sunday.

“If I were a campaign manager for Donald Trump and I look at the field, I would very much want to run against Bernie Sanders,” Messina said. “I think the contrast is the best. He can say, ‘I’m a business guy, the economy’s good and this guy’s a socialist.’ I think that contrast for Trump is likely one that he’d be excited about in a way that he wouldn’t be as excited about Biden or potentially Mayor Pete or some of the more Midwestern moderate candidates.”

“From a general election perspective, socialism is not going to be what Democrats are going to want to defend,” Messina added. “If you’re the Democratic nominee for the Montana Senate race, you don’t want to spend the election talking about socialism.”

Team Obama has been sounding the alarm on Sanders for some time, apparently afraid that Democrats will squander an opportunity to defeat the sitting president by nominating a candidate popular with only a small — but vocal — segment of the population.

The former president himself told a group of Democratic donors late last year that he felt the Democratic party was making a mistake in embracing a far-left platform and tolerating Sanders as a serious candidate. Trump, Bloomberg Drop $10 Million on Dueling Super Bowl Campaign Ads

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg probably has no shot at winning the Democratic Party presidential nomination, but he still plans to drop a whopping $10 million on a 60-second Super Bowl campaign ad to compete with a similar ad from President Donald Trump.

“It’s the battle of the billionaires,” reported NBC News this week. “The campaigns of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Donald Trump each plan to spend $10 million for advertisements during the telecast of next month’s Super Bowl.”

Airing this year on February 2, over 100 million people are expected to watch the Super Bowl, granting Bloomberg and Trump the largest possible television audience for a campaign ad. The Bloomberg team opted to go for a 60-second spot in order to out-compete the Trump team’s rumored 30-second slot.

However, upon hearing of Bloomberg’s plan, the Trump campaign then opted to double down for a 60-second spot, which means that Super Bowl Sunday may prove to yield the most amount of money spent on political campaign ads in a single day . . .

“The president’s decision to stay aggressive and keep the campaign open after his first election gave us a huge head start on his re-election,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said. “The president has built an awesome, high-performance, omnichannel machine, and it’s time to give it some gas.” (Read more from “Trump, Bloomberg Drop $10 Million on Dueling Super Bowl Campaign Ads” HERE)

Terrible News for Democrats in 2020: Census Projections Showing Electoral College Gains for GOP

Population estimates show reliably Democratic states, like New York, California, and Illinois will each lose at least one congressional district and representation in the Electoral College. Conversely, states that tend to vote for Republicans—such as Texas, Florida, and Montana—are expected to increase their presence.

“This is looking to benefit Republicans only because of how the landscape has changed,” said Jenna Ellis, senior legal analyst for the Trump 2020 campaign, according to radio station KTRH.

Ellis also noted that Democrats’ anticipated losses is why they mobilized so strongly to oppose the Trump administration’s addition of a citizenship question on the Census. . .

However, when analysts looked at states expected to gain seats, the GOP comes out on top. Three Republican states that went for Trump in 2016—Montana, Arizona, and North Carolina—are likely to pick-up one seat after the Census. On the Democratic side of the ledger, two states (Oregon and Colorado) will each add a seat, resulting in a net gain of one Electoral College seat for Republicans.

The big problem for the Left is that forecasts show Florida and Texas—both of which voted for Trump in 2016—picking up a combined five seats (two for Florida, three for Texas). Thus, if the estimates hold, Republicans will pick-up six Electoral College votes. Of course, this assumes that both the GOP maintains control of the Lone Star and Sunshine States, but that’s a topic for a different day. Trump: 2020 Democratic Candidates ‘Trying to Punish Religious Believers’ (VIDEO)

President Trump warned members of his evangelical base that every 2020 Democratic presidential candidate poses a threat to their religious liberty.

“Our faith is needed now more than ever,” Trump said during a Friday “Evangelicals for Trump” rally in Miami. “While certain fads come and go, it’s an eternal truth that faith and family lead to the stability, happiness, and prosperity of nations.”

“Yet as we speak,” Trump continued, “every Democrat candidate running for president is trying to punish religious believers and silence our churches and our pastors.” . . .

“Our opponents want to shut out God from the public square so that they can impose their extreme anti-religious and socialist agenda on America,” Trump continued. The New York Times reported that “many supporters outside [the rally] were Cuban émigrés who said their primary concern was what they saw as the threat of socialism. Most said they were lifelong Republicans who were more concerned than ever about the Democratic Party gaining more power, citing fears that they would face more government mandates.”

Democrats Brace for Long, Drawn-Out 2020 Fight Against Trump

By Washington Examiner. One month out from the opening contest in Iowa, the 2020 Democratic presidential field still boasts 14 candidates, leaving open the possibility of a drawn-out nomination process.

Although former Vice President Joe Biden leads the crowded pack with an average of 28% support nationwide, the other top three contenders — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg — aren’t far behind in polling and outpace the 36-year Delaware senator in fundraising.

Meanwhile, White House hopefuls, billionaire former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg and former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, launched last-minute bids. Others, including Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and entrepreneur Andrew Yang, are experiencing late surges before the Iowa caucus on Feb. 3.

It could be “a marathon rather than a sprint” before the Democratic nominee is announced, according to Democratic strategist Peter Fenn.

“There is no question for the Democrats that the changes in the rules make it conceivable that this could possibly take a while,” Fenn said, referring to reforms the party introduced for automatic delegates and how most states no longer have “winner-take-all” primary contests. “The second thing is that you have a lot of candidates that, at least currently, are able to get to the 15% threshold and could get delegates and prevent somebody from getting a majority,” he continued. Trump Campaign Raised $46 Million Last Quarter as Sanders, Biden and Yang Smash Records

By NBC News. President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign announced Thursday that it raised $46 million in the three months that ended Dec. 31, while three of his Democratic rivals smashed their previous 2020 fundraising records.

The Trump campaign said its fourth-quarter total was its best of the 2020 cycle so far, topping its previous high of $41 million. The campaign ended 2019 with more than $102 million on hand.

“The President’s war chest and grassroots army make his re-election campaign an unstoppable juggernaut,” Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale said in a statement.

Meanwhile, in the race for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and businessman Andrew Yang each bested their 2020 campaign fundraising records in the fourth quarter, their campaigns said Thursday. Later Thursday, former Vice President Joe Biden announced that he, too, brought in his highest total over a quarter during the 2020 cycle.
