Where’s Mitch? McConnell Remains Silent on FBI Raid at Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has remained silent on the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s estate at Mar-A-Lago.

McConnell did not respond to Breitbart News’s request for comment on the shocking incident, nor has he released a public statement about the historic raid at the time of publication.

The GOP leader has not commented or demonstrated concern about this historic precedent at a time when Trump may mount a comeback campaign against President Joe Biden in 2024.

Three GOP senators in leadership positions have issued public statements condemning the raid, including Senate Republican Conference chair John Barrasso (R-WY), National Republican Senatorial Committee chair Rick Scott (R-FL), and Senate Republican Conference vice chair Joni Ernst (R-IA).

“When Republicans retake the majority in the Senate, there will be a thorough & aggressive investigation into the @FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago,” Scott tweeted. “Everything needs to be on the table for AG Garland, including impeachment if he doesn’t come out TODAY & explain what happened.” (Read more from “Where’s Mitch? Judge Who OK’d Mar-A-Lago Raid Obama Donor Once Linked to Jeffrey Epstein

The Florida federal magistrate judge who signed off on a search warrant authorizing the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort donated to Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign — months after he left the local US Attorney’s office to rep employees of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein who had received immunity in the long-running sex-trafficking investigation of the financier.

Sources tell The Post that Judge Bruce Reinhart approved the warrant that enabled federal agents to converge on the palatial South Florida estate on Monday in what Trump called an “unannounced raid on my home.”

Reinhart was elevated to magistrate judge in March 2018 after 10 years in private practice. That November, the Miami Herald reported that he had represented several of Epstein’s employees — including, by Reinhart’s own admission to the outlet, Epstein’s pilots; his scheduler, Sarah Kellen; and Nadia Marcinkova, who Epstein once reportedly described as his “Yugoslavian sex slave.”

Kellen and Marcinkova were among Epstein’s lieutenants who were granted immunity as part of a controversial 2007 deal with federal prosecutors that allowed the pervert to plead guilty to state charges rather than federal crimes. Epstein wound up serving just 13 months in county jail and was granted work release.

According to the Herald, which cited court documents, Reinhart resigned from the South Florida US Attorney’s Office effective on New Year’s Day 2008 and went to work for Epstein’s cohorts the following day. Flag-Waving Trump Supporters Protest Outside Mar-A-Lago After FBI Raid (VIDEO)

Dozens of furious Donald Trump supporters gathered around Mar-a-Lago on Monday to protest the FBI raid on the former president’s Florida home.

The demonstrators gathered in two groups, right outside Mar-a-Lago and by a bridge leading into Palm Beach, where the luxury resort is located.

Other Trump supporters drove around the area in vehicles decked out with patriotic regalia.

A video, posted from the scene by Jayne Zirkle, a reporter for Steve Bannon’s War Room, shows one truck with a large Trump/Pence banner attached, but with “Pence” crossed out, reflecting Trump supporters’ anger the former vice president didn’t refuse to certify the 2020 election result.

President Joe Biden ignored questions from reporters Tuesday regarding the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Largo home.

The president can be seen walking by reporters and ignoring their questions on the topic the day after agents raided the former president’s Florida residence.

“President Biden, what did Attorney General Merrick Garland tell you about the Trump raid?” a reporter can be heard yelling to the president as he posed for a photo and “God Bless America” plays in the background.

“Did you know about it in advance?” CNN’s Kaitlan Collins can be heard asking as he leaves the room. Biden continues smiling and walks right by Collins and a slew of other reporters without responding or stopping.

Trump Says FBI Conducted Search at His Mar-A-Lago Estate

The FBI searched former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate as part of an investigation into whether he took classified records from the White House to his Florida residence, people familiar with the matter said Monday. Trump disclosed the action in a lengthy statement, asserting that agents had broken into his safe in a search he decried as evidence of “dark times for our nation.”

The search, which the FBI and Justice Department did not immediately confirm, marks a dramatic escalation in law enforcement scrutiny of Trump and comes amid a separate but intensifying probe into efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Trump and his allies immediately sought to cast the search as part of a Democratic-driven effort to keep him from winning another term in 2024, even though the Biden White House said it had no prior knowledge of it and the current FBI director, Christopher Wray, was appointed by Trump five years ago and served as a high-ranking official in a Republican-led Justice Department. After former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida was raided by FBI agents, Republicans are slamming the Biden administration and accusing the Department of Justice of “political weaponization,” while Democrats are lauding the agency for holding Trump accountable for “wrongdoing.”

“The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves,” said Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. “Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.”

Multiple sources tell Fox News the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago is related to the materials Trump allegedly brought to his private residence after his presidency concluded. That matter was referred to the Justice Department by the National Archives and Records Administration, which said it found classified material in 15 boxes at the residence.

Shock Raid of Former President’s Home; Trump: ’Democrats Who Desperately Don’t Want Me to Run for President in 2024’

By Breitbart. Former President Donald Trump’s Florida home, Mar-A-Lago, was raided by FBI agents, Trump announced in a statement on Monday.

“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar- A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said. “Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before.”

Trump noted his previous cooperation with law enforcement and called the FBI raid of his home “prosecutorial misconduct.” Trump also said it is an example of “the weaponization of the Justice System who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024.”

Trump continued:

After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections. Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries, Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before. They even broke into my safe! What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.

Trump Roots Out ‘Deep State’: People ‘You Would Least Suspect’

There is a “deep state” of government bureaucrats who regularly disrupt the commander in chief’s plans, former President Donald Trump said in a recent interview.

In talking with popular conservative commentator Dan Bongino, Trump opened up about how officials within his own administration created roadblocks for his agenda and put blame on recommendations he received from “RINOS,” or Republicans in Name Only, a pejorative often used to criticize fellow members of the GOP.

“Look, there is a deep state,” Trump said. “There is a group of people that are not doing a very good job for the country.”

The conversation was framed around a report by Axios journalist Jonathan Swan saying how Trump’s allies want to “radically reshape” the federal government if Trump is elected to another term as president. This includes trimming parts of the Justice Department, the State Department, and the Pentagon, sources told the news outlet.

‘Weaponizing’ the System: Trump Family Reacts to Raid

Family members of former President Donald Trump took to social media and the airwaves to respond to the news of Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago being “raided” by the FBI, accusing the bureau of being politically motivated.

Lara Trump, wife of Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump, and Donald Trump Jr. took aim at the Department of Justice, which is the parent agency of the FBI, classifying the raid as “weaponizing the justice system” fueled by the Biden administration.

“They are terrified. He’s going to announce any day that he’s running for president in 2024,” Lara Trump told Fox News. “This is a very convenient way to just throw a little more mud on Donald Trump as though they haven’t already done enough.”

Donald Trump Jr., the eldest child of the former president, reacted on Twitter, writing: “Biden’s out of control DOJ is ripping this country apart with how they’re openly targeting their political enemies. Report: Trump FBI Raid Focused on Boxes of White House Documents

The FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s home was reportedly focused on documents Trump may have taken with him from the White House to Mar-A-Lago after leaving office.

Trump announced his Florida home was “under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents” in a statement on Monday.

“Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries, Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before,” Trump said. “They even broke into my safe!”

The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman reported the investigation “appeared to be focused on material that Mr. Trump had brought with him to Mar-a-Lago, his private club and residence, after he left the White House,” shortly after Trump confirmed the FBI raid. . .

CNN and Politico also reported that the raid, which took “hours,” focused on potential documents that were improperly removed from the Trump White House.

‘I LIKE TO WIN’: Tim Scott Defends Backing Murkowski Instead of Trump-Backed GOP Candidate

Sen. Tim Scott Thursday defended his endorsement of Sen. Lisa Murkowski for re-election, amid blowback from some Republicans who support her Trump-endorsed opponent, Kelly Tshibaka.

“The road to socialism runs right through a divided Republican Party,” Scott, R-S.C., said. “I like winning and frankly the best shot at us keeping that seat is without doubt Lisa Murkowski.”

Scott said that among the reasons he thinks Murkowski, R-Alaska, gives Republicans the best chance to hold on to her seat in a key election year is that “the power of incumbency is undeniable.” He added that “she works really hard.”

The senator’s endorsement puts him at odds with former President Donald Trump in the key Senate race — a move that angered some on the right.

But Scott is far from the only Republican to be on the opposite side of a Senate race from Trump this cycle. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas; former Vice President Mike Pence; Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y.; Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.; and others have endorsed 2022 GOP primary candidates in races where Trump endorsed their competitor. By Mediaite. Former President Donald Trump was joined by some of his family, Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on his golf course, as “Let’s Go, Brandon,” chants broke out during the Saudi-backed LIV tournament.

The chant became a commonly used MAGA phrase after a sports reporter misheard a crowd, thinking they were celebrating NASCAR driver Brandon Brown’s victory. Trump supporters have used the slogan as a way to criticize Biden vocally.

In a video posted to Twitter, chants broke out as the crowd spotted Trump, Carlson, Greene, Eric Trump, and Kimberly Guilfoyle as the group smiled and waved.

Trump Shares Joke With Tucker at Golf Club Weeks After Fox Star Shot Down Presidential Run Rumors

By Daily Mail. Donald Trump shared a joke with Fox News star Tucker Carlson during the Saudi-backed LIV golf tournament at his Bedminster golf club Sunday.

The former president, 76, and the TV star who recently insisted he’d never run for president were all-smiles as they were joined by Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to watch the action unfold at the Trump National Golf Club.

LIV arrived at Trump’s club on July 29, sparking controversy from some 9/11 victims who say the Saudi-backed tournament should not be welcomed on US shores.

The former president sparked outrage by saying there was no proof Saudi was linked to the September 2001 atrocity in New York City – which sits just 40 miles from Bedminster – Washington DC and Pennsylvania.

Sunday is the final day of the tournament in Bedminster. It will now move onto The International golf club near Boston, before concluding at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois on September 18.
