By New York Post. Ghislaine Maxwell cried as she was ordered held without bail Tuesday — with a Manhattan judge ruling the accused sex abuser “poses substantial actual risk of flight” after she purposely hid from authorities.

The 58-year-old British socialite and pal of late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein wiped tears from her left eye several times, using the back of her left index finger, as federal Judge Alison Nathan refused to free her from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until her trial next year.

“No combination of conditions” could ensure that Maxwell wouldn’t try to flee prosecution, Nathan said during a video conference in Manhattan federal court — where Maxwell appeared on the feed remotely from a closet-size room at the jail.

“The risks are simply too great,” the judge said, adding that Maxwell has exhibited an “extraordinary capacity to evade detection.”

Maxwell, the daughter of disgraced late newspaper baron Robert Maxwell, briefly hung her head when it became clear that she wasn’t going to be released at all — much less to a luxury New York City hotel, as she had requested — until trial. Geraldo Rivera Attacks Federal Judge for Not Allowing Maxwell Out on Bail

By Fox News. Fox News correspondent-at-large Geraldo Rivera accused the New York federal judge presiding over Ghislaine Maxwell’s case of “copping out to the mob” Tuesday after she denied the British socialite’s bail request as she awaits trial on sex trafficking charges.

“I think this was a political decision,” Rivera asserted on “Bill Hemmer Reports”. “I think that the question is not whether she committed these hideous offenses. The question is whether or not she would show up for trial. She bought a house in New Hampshire, for goodness’ sakes. She went to all this trouble to stay in the country. . .

“It doesn’t make any sense,” he said before claiming that prosecutors in the case “are doing this to put pressure on her.”

“They are punishing her before conviction,” Rivera argued. “She has never been held liable in a civil suit, never been convicted of a crime. She is not Jeffrey Epstein. I think this is a terrible, punitive decision.” . . .

Ghislaine Maxwell Is Also Under Investigation in U.S. Virgin Islands

By Bloomberg. Ghislaine Maxwell is also under investigation by the U.S. Virgin Islands for her alleged participation in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation.

The Caribbean territory gave notice of its investigation in a court filing Friday in which it seeks to intervene in a lawsuit she filed against Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. The socialite sued earlier this year seeking reimbursement for legal fees she was incurring, claiming Epstein had repeatedly promised her that he would support her financially.

The island’s Department of Justice “is investigating Maxwell’s participation in Epstein’s criminal sex trafficking and sexual abuse conduct,” according to the July 10 filing. It’s also using the case to subpoena Maxwell, a process the government said she has evaded since March.

“The government’s need to intervene is further fueled by Maxwell’s inappropriate use of the Virgin Islands courts to seek payment and reimbursement from the Epstein criminal enterprise, while she circumvents the service of process of government subpoenas related to her involvement in that criminal enterprise,” the filing states. Epstein was a resident of the Virgin Islands for more than 20 years and owned two islands — Little St. James and Great St. James — which the government said it’s seeking to claim as part of its legal effort. By CNN. Federal prosecutors urged a judge to reject a home confinement request by Ghislaine Maxwell, the confidant of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, saying she is skilled at hiding and had wrapped a cell phone in foil to attempt to evade detection by authorities. . .

They said Maxwell has shown a skilled ability to hide. When FBI agents went to arrest Maxwell at a mansion in New Hampshire on July 3, instead of obeying the agent’s order to open the door, Maxwell fled to another room and closed the door behind her, according to the court filing. After the FBI breached the door they found Maxwell inside and arrested her. . .

Prosecutors also cited Maxwell’s own wealth as a means for her to flee the country. Maxwell disclosed to the US Treasury Department that in 2018 and 2019 she held at times $2 million at an English bank and had a $4 million balance at a Swiss bank. But prosecutors say Maxwell’s finances are “opaque,” noting she has not filled out a sworn statement describing her assets. He also claimed to have seen clips of ‘celebrities’ and ‘world figures’ having ‘threesomes, even orgies’ with minors. . .

He added: ‘I saw videos of very powerful people – celebrities, world figures – in those videos having sex, threesomes, even orgies with minors.’

Ghislaine Maxwell Forced to Wear Paper Clothes in Prison

The Justice Department is beefing up security inside a New York City jail where pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is being held amid concerns that she might commit suicide.

Outside officials separate from the Bureau of Prisons have been specifically tasked with ensuring there’s adequate protection and the prison’s protocols are being followed, an official told The Associated Press. The protections are to prevent her from harming herself, and also in case other inmates wish to harm her.

Maxwell also has a roommate in her cell and is being closely monitored, ensuring that someone is with her at all times while she is behind bars, the official added.

Ex-Reddit CEO Tweeted She ‘Knew About’ Ghislaine Maxwell Allegations in 2011

The former CEO of Reddit drew criticism this week after revealing that she and several others at a ritzy 2011 Silicon Valley Christmas party attended by Ghislaine Maxwell “knew” or “suspected” that she was allegedly supplying underage girls to Jeffrey Epstein but did not call her out.

Ellen Pao, the former CEO of Reddit, said in the tweet posted Monday that Maxwell was at the party hosted by Kleiner Perkins, a venture capital giant where she worked as a partner.

“She was at the Kleiner holiday party in 2011, but I had no desire to meet her much less have a photo taken with her,” Pao wrote in a tweet on Monday.

“We knew about her supplying underage girls for sex, but I guess that was fine with the ‘cool’ people who managed the tightly controlled guest list,” she added.

Alleged Jeffrey Epstein Co-Conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell Hires Lawyer Who Helped Take Down ‘El Chapo’

By Fox News. Ghislaine Maxwell has hired the former prosecutor who helped bring down drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to try to get her off child sex-trafficking charges.

Recent court filings for the 58-year-old British media heiress show that she is being repped by Christian Everdell, who spent more than a decade as an assistant US attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Everdell’s bio notes how he and his team were awarded a “True American Hero Award” by the Federal Drug Agent Foundation for “their work in the investigation and apprehension of the former head of the Sinaloa drug cartel in Mexico (‘Chapo’ Guzman).”

Former colleagues believe he may use his experience in such high-profile cases to get Maxwell to turn on others allegedly in Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle to strike a deal.

“He will of course do what is in the best interests of his client, but no doubt he will be talking to her about the benefits of becoming a cooperating witness,” tweeted Jennifer Rodgers, who used to be his supervisor as a fellow federal Southern District of New York prosecutor. An anonymous woman said Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein repeatedly sexually assaulted her in an interview with Fox News reporter Bryan Llenas. The woman, whose identity was obscured, added that she is “definitely” willing to testify in the case against Maxwell, who was arrested by the FBI on Thursday. . .

“Absolutely. I would definitely stand, you know, take the stand and testify, because I believe that she deserves to be where she’s at today and she deserves to stay there for the rest of her life,” the woman told Llenas. “And I hope by me coming forward, it encourages other victims to stand up and say, you know, to be honest, let your voice be heard.”

She told Llenas that Maxwell personally abused her “20 to 30 times” when she was a teenager, adding that she was “just as evil as Epstein” and was more than just a confidant, but a business partner and a participant who abused several other young girls.

“The fact that I had to kill my child, really affected me and my family,” she told Llenas regarding her alleged pregnancy, adding that she had never been with anyone other than Epstein. . .

Alan Dershowitz Says Ghislaine Maxwell Should Be ‘Presumed Innocent,’ Released From Custody

Alan Dershowitz told The Post on Friday that Ghislaine Maxwell should be “presumed innocent” — and that the feds’ sex case against her may fall apart because of statutes of limitation.

In 2008, the Harvard University law professor helped Maxwell’s perverted pal Jeffrey Epstein secure a plea deal with federal prosecutors in Florida while the sexual predator was under investigation for abusing underage girls.

Dershowitz also is embroiled in a lawsuit himself against Virginia Guiffre, who claims Epstein kept her as a teenage sex slave and forced her to sleep with both Prince Andrew and Dershowitz. The lawyer and royal both have vehemently denied this.

Last month there were rumors that the personal emails of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged fixer Ghislaine Maxwell could be released. If the emails were released, they could reveal power brokers from around the world. A new report that Ghsilane and Jeffrey recorded every encounter involving their associates could has influential people scared to their core.

Before Ghislaine Maxwell was known as the madam for Jeffrey Epstein, she was a British socialite. Fellow U.K. debutante Christina Oxenberg became friends with Maxwell since they ran in the same high society circles in the early 1990s.

Oxenberg, who is a relative of a royal family, was at Maxwell’s home in Britain. “We were alone,” Oxenberg said. “She said many things. All creepy. Unorthodox. Strange. I could not believe whatever she was saying was real. Stuff like: ‘Jeffrey and I have everyone on videotape.’”

Oxenberg didn’t really understand the implications of that statement at the time. But now she understands the meaning of the eery conversation.

There are widespread accusations that Maxwell supplied young women, sometimes underage girls, to Epstein. Before his bizarre and suspicious death in a prison cell in August, Epstein was on trial for federal charges of sex trafficking. In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida for procuring an underage girl for prostitution and sentenced to 18 months in prison. Ghislaine Maxwell Under Ex-Special Forces Guard; New Photos Released of Jeffrey Epstein’s Body

By Fox News Business. British socialite and former Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell is reportedly being guarded by former U.S. Navy SEALs amid conflicting reports about where she’s hiding out.

Maxwell faces “credible death threats” and is being guarded by former U.S. Navy SEALs in safe houses in the American Midwest, a source told The Daily Mail.

“There has been so much rubbish written about Ghislaine. The reality is she receives multiple, credible death threats on a daily basis. The hate mail is sometimes 2 [feet] high,” the source said according to The Daily Mail. “She is constantly moving. Her life is in danger. She is being guarded by the best of the very best and that includes former U.S. Navy SEALs. She’s not under the protection of any government. She’s on her own.”

New Photos of Jeffrey Epstein’s Body, Sheet He Used to ‘Hang Himself’

By New York Post. Newly revealed photos show Jeffrey Epstein’s face frozen in death and the torn strip of orange prison bedsheet he allegedly used as a noose to hang himself.

The photos — which include the convicted pedophile’s corpse both naked and in a hospital gown laying on a gurney — were released by CBS TV’s “60 Minutes’’ Sunday as part of a segment that included an interview with former New York City Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Baden.

Baden, who was hired by Epstein’s brother, Mark, to observe an autopsy on the disgraced financier, was asked if he thought he killed himself in his Manhattan jail cell in August — as the current ME says — or was the victim of something more sinister.

“The forensic evidence released so far, including autopsy, point much more to murder and strangulation than the suicide and suicidal hanging,” Baden replied.
