Even Some Democrats Are Sounding Alarm on Biden’s Imminent Move at the Border

Democratic Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin and Democratic Virginia Rep. Abigail Spanberger sent a letter Tuesday to President Joe Biden’s administration expressing their concern about the border crisis, saying he should delay the decision to lift Title 42.

The letter was sent by the two Democrats to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy Susan Rice. In it, the two lawmakers shared reasons why they believe Title 42 should not yet be lifted by the Biden administration, saying they want to avoid a humanitarian and security crisis.

Tile 42 is a public health measure issued in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that allows the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to rapidly expel migrants on public health grounds.

“Given our backgrounds in national security, we know the Executive Branch is accustomed to planning for contingencies, and it is for this reason that we submit to you the below requests for actions to be taken before the administration lifts the Title 42 order, so that we prevent a humanitarian and security crisis,” the lawmakers wrote in the letter obtained first by Fox News.

“We are concerned about how DHS will contend with an increase of people — including children and families — that will more than triple the department’s capacity without ample and robust planning,” the lawmakers added. “And while the administration gave itself two months to prepare, what has been shared with us to date seems like too little, too late — especially when the removal of Title 42 will occur at the same time that a spike in seasonal migration occurs.” (Read more from “Even Some Democrats Are Sounding Alarm on Biden’s Imminent Move at the Border” HERE)

Clueless Joe Biden Bungles Question About Extending Title 42

President Joe Biden appeared clueless when asked about extending the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) Title 42 measure on Thursday at the White House.

Instead of talking about Title 42, the president began talking about the ongoing legal appeal from the Justice Department challenging a judicial order overruling the CDC’s mask mandate on airplanes.

“Because as a matter of principle, we want to be able to be in a position where if in fact it is strongly concluded by the scientists that we need Title 42 that we’d be able to do that,” Biden said, when asked if he was considering extending the authorities beyond the scheduled expiration date in May.

“There has been no position on extending Title 42,” he concluded.

Reporters soon realized the president had mixed up the talking points about the mask mandate and used them to talk about Title 42.

US a ‘Co-Belligerent’ in Ukraine War, Legal Expert Says

Conversations over the past week with current and former US officials about whether, to their knowledge, there is any real debate inside President Joe Biden’s administration over the approach it is taking in Ukraine has produced only slight variations of the same answer: “Not really.”

As of now, what the Biden policy amounts to is a replay along the lines of president Franklin D Roosevelt’s policy toward the war in Europe from 1939 to December 1941, during which the US was a co-belligerent all but in name.

In their public statements, Biden and his Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin seem intent on obfuscating the true extent of American involvement. A story in the defense-industry-sponsored Politico quoted unnamed US officials as saying “military options in Ukraine aren’t on the table – echoing Biden’s repeated position of not wanting to spark World War III.” . . .

But US involvement goes deeper than arms sales and intelligence sharing. A Pentagon official who requested anonymity told me it is “likely we have a limited footprint on the ground in Ukraine, but under Title 50, not Title 10,” meaning US intelligence operatives and paramilitaries – but not regular military.

Republicans Look to Block Biden’s New ‘Woke,’ Trans-Friendly Approach to Airport Security

House Republicans introduced Thursday legislation to block the Biden administration’s newly issued screening policies aimed at improving the airport experience for transgender passengers, calling the updates a threat to national security.

The Security Americans from Transportation Insanity Act, led by Reps. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Dan Bishop of North Carolina, would prevent the Transportation Security Administration from using federal funds to implement the planned updates, which were announced by the White House on March 31, or Transgender Day of Visibility.

As Ms. Boebert’s website put it: “Don’t woke the TSA.”

The new White House rules call for reducing the number of pat-downs; updating the TSA PreCheck and Trusted Traveler programs to include the “X” gender marker; promoting the use of the “X” with airlines, and removing “gender considerations” from TSA Standard Operating Procedures.

“If you doubt the Biden regime is on a woke crusade to remake America in its own image, then look no further than the TSA’s new trans screening policies,” said Ms. Boebert in a Thursday statement. Secret Service Claims It Has ‘No Records’ of Who Visits Biden in Delaware

The US Secret Service has dubiously claimed to The Post that it has “no records” of visitors to President Biden’s two Delaware residences and therefore cannot divulge that information in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

Biden was at his residences in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach on about one-quarter of all days during his first year in office, but little is known about who stopped by for official meetings or less formal lobbying efforts — such as by members of his family and their associates.

The Post sought more than one year of visitor log records, including for Biden’s first year in office, but Secret Service Freedom of Information Act officer Kevin Tyrrell wrote in a response dated Monday that “[t]he Secret Service FOIA Office searched all Program Offices that were likely to contain potentially responsive records, and no records were located.”

First son Hunter Biden is under criminal investigation for possible tax fraud and unregistered foreign lobbying after routinely seeking business in countries where his father held sway as vice president. The younger Biden worked on some overseas projects with his uncle Jim Biden.

Documents and photos from a laptop that formerly belonged to Hunter Biden indicate that he introduced his dad to business associates from China, Mexico, Russia and Ukraine — including at the vice president’s residence in Washington. Who’s in Charge of America Right Now? Because It Isn’t the Man Getting Wrangled by a Giant Easter Bunny (VIDEO)

By The Federalist. The White House celebrated Easter on Sunday with its traditional egg roll, but the Resurrection Day festivities turned into a national embarrassment thanks to the president. His handlers, including his wife, did their best to walk him around like a pet, telling him when to sit, speak, and stay.

This all raises the obvious and alarming question: Who is in charge of the greatest country on Earth right now? Because it sure as heck isn’t Joe Biden.

If you haven’t seen any of the footage, you might think this is an exaggeration, but it isn’t. Here’s Jill Biden monopolizing a children’s book reading, with her husband announcing, “And they’re not going to let me read at all.” . . .

And here’s Jill Biden tapping Joe on the arm with the command to “just stay,” presumably so he didn’t wander off as he is wont to do, followed by the duo awkwardly laughing it off as if she hadn’t just treated the president of the free world like a puppy in training. . .

Worse, it wasn’t just Biden’s wife taking care of him; even a giant furry was tasked with wrangling the president. When Biden started yammering about Pakistan and Afghanistan — his failed and deadly withdrawal from which became one of the many defining crises of his presidency — the Easter bunny stepped in to cut off the president from saying another word.

“Pakistan should not, and Afghanistan should be…” President Biden can be heard saying before the “Easter Bunny” approaches.

“Oh, the Easter Bunny!” someone can be heard saying off-camera.

The Easter Bunny gives the president a big wave to usher him away as a visibly annoyed Biden appears caught off guard. He was reportedly needed to kick off another round of the egg-rolling competition by blowing a whistle. Report: Joe Biden Told Barack Obama He Will Run In 2024 to Defeat Trump

President Joe Biden reportedly told Barack Obama he will run for reelection in 2024 to defeat Donald Trump.

Despite his low approval rating, Biden believes he is the only Democrat who can defeat Donald Trump if he also decides to run, two sources told the Hill. Biden’s plans to campaign for a second term confirm his previous statements. If Biden does run, he will be in his early 80s, an old age for a tough presidential campaign.

“I believe he thinks he’s the only one who can beat Trump. I don’t think he thinks there’s anyone in the Democratic party who can beat Trump and that’s the biggest factor,” a source familiar with the Biden and Obama conversation said.

“[Biden] wants to run and he’s clearly letting everyone know,” a second source added.

Biden claimed in March of 2021 that he intends to run for reelection, a dilemma that has divided the Democrat Party and engulfed Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. Biden, Accountant Hit With IRS Whistleblower Claim That Prez Owes at Least $127K

President Biden and his accountant are facing new IRS whistleblower complaints alleging that Biden owes at least $127,000 in back taxes.

The complaints were filed by Chris Jacobs, a former Republican aide on Capitol Hill, to coincide with Monday’s federal tax filing deadline.

“Federal agencies must implement laws on a non-partisan basis,” Jacobs told The Post. “The fact that the IRS did not audit Joe Biden’s 2017 through 2019 returns, despite several articles publicly raising questions about the propriety of his actions, raises questions about how the IRS administers our nation’s tax laws, and whether political considerations played a role in the IRS’ decisions.”

Biden and his wife, Jill, avoided paying Medicare taxes on book income and speaking fees in 2017 and 2018 by routing $13.3 million through “S corporations” and counting a small amount as eligible for the federal health care tax.

The strategy is commonly used by wealthy people to dodge the 3.8% Medicare levy on large amounts of income and experts say the IRS lacks the resources to aggressively pursue cases of underpayment. DOJ Will Appeal Ruling Nixing Mask Mandates

The Department of Justice announced Tuesday evening the Biden administration will appeal Monday’s ruling by a federal judge in Florida striking down mask mandates for travel.

“The Department of Justice and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) disagree with the district court’s decision and will appeal, subject to CDC’s conclusion that the order remains necessary for public health. The Department continues to believe that the order requiring masking in the transportation corridor is a valid exercise of the authority Congress has given CDC to protect the public health. That is an important authority the Department will continue to work to preserve,” DOJ released in a statement. “On April 13, 2022, before the district court’s decision, CDC explained that the order would remain in effect while it assessed current public health conditions, and that the Transportation Security Administration would extend its directive implementing the order until May 3 to facilitate CDC’s assessment.”

Biden Airplane Mask Mandate Ruled Illegal; Liberals Aren’t Doing Well Since Biden’s Mandate Got Struck Down

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden’s “Mask Mandate” on federal airplanes is illegal, a federal judge ruled on Monday in a setback to Biden’s COVID-19 agenda.

One day after taking office, Biden issued Executive Order (EO) 13998, ordering the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to develop the Mask Mandate, and for various other federal agencies like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to implement the CDC’s decisions. EO 13998 also covered airports and other public transportation, such as buses.

CDC issued its initial order on January 29, 2021, pursuant to Biden’s EO. Among other things, it requires almost everyone ages two and up to wear masks in airports and on airplanes, with certain narrow exceptions such as between bites when they are eating.

Various legal challenges have been filed against the mandate. (Full disclosure: The author of this article is also one of the lawyers on one such lawsuit, FRC Action v. Biden, which Breitbart News reporter Katherine Hamilton has covered.) Most recently, almost two dozen states filed a lawsuit raising several statutory and constitutional objections to the Mask Mandate.

Monday’s ruling was on one of the earliest cases, filed in July 2021. The lawsuit alleged that the Mask Mandate violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) on three separate grounds: First, that issuing the order is beyond CDC’s statutory authority granted by Congress in 42 U.S.C. § 264a. Second, that the CDC’s action was really a rule (i.e., a regulation) rather than an order, and therefore had to go through a process of public notice and opportunity for public comment before taking effect. And third, that it violates the APA because it is “arbitrary and capricious,” meaning that it was not the result of reasoned decision making. Liberals Aren’t Doing Well Since Biden’s Mask Mandate Got Struck Down

By Townhall. After a federal judge in Florida struck down the Biden administration’s mask mandate for most forms of travel including planes, trains, and public transit, liberal media figures did not take the news well.

While the decision was celebrated by many sane Americans and Republican leaders, Katie pointed out on Twitter that the double-standard employed by many liberals in the mainstream media.

Their outrage is especially confusing given the mandate was set to expire on May 3 after a 15-day extension by the Biden administration was announced last week. But that didn’t stop the Twitter storm from raging as the often-hypocritical members of the liberal media apparently ignore the fact that anyone is still free to wear a mask wherever and whenever they like, however silly they may look.
