George W. Bush Officials Launch New Group Supporting Joe Biden

By CNN. A group of former George W. Bush administration and campaign officials has launched a new super PAC to mobilize disaffected Republican voters for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

The group, launched Wednesday under the name “43 Alumni for Biden,” “seeks to unite and mobilize a community of historically Republican voters who are dismayed and disappointed by the damage done to our nation by Donald Trump’s presidency,” according to a release. The formation of the group is the latest example of efforts being made by anti-Trump Republicans to defeat the President in November.

Karen Kirksey, the director of the committee and who worked on the Bush 2000 election campaign and in the Labor and Agriculture Departments, said the endorsement of Biden is “not necessarily in full support of his political agenda but rather in full agreement with the urgent need to restore the soul of this nation.”

“For four years, we have watched with grave concern as the party we loved has morphed into a cult of personality that little resembles the Party of Lincoln and Reagan,” Kirksey said in a statement.

“Once elected, we look forward to working in a bipartisan way through civil, spirited debate on the many important issues facing Americans today and for decades to come,” she continued later. (Read more from “George W. Bush Officials Launch New Group Supporting Joe Biden” HERE)

Hundreds of George W. Bush Administration Officials to Back Biden, Group Says

By Reuters. Hundreds of officials who worked for former Republican President George W. Bush are set to endorse Democratic White House hopeful Joe Biden, people involved in the effort said, the latest Republican-led group coming out to oppose the re-election of Donald Trump. . .

The group is the latest of a number of Republican organizations opposing Trump’s re-election, yet another sign that he has alienated some in his own party, most recently with his response to the coronavirus pandemic and nationwide protests over racial injustice and police brutality against Black Americans.

“We know what is normal and what is abnormal, and what we are seeing is highly abnormal. The president is a danger,” said Jennifer Millikin, one of the 43 Alumni organizers, who worked on Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign and later in the General Services Administration. . .

Millikin said the group was not yet ready to name all its members or its donors. It has to provide a list of initial donors to the Federal Election Commission by October.

Bush’s office has been informed about the group, but the former president is not involved and has not indicated if he approves of its aims, she said. (Read more from “Hundreds of George W. Bush Administration Officials to Back Biden, Group Says” HERE)

1990: Joe Biden Proposed Hypothetical of ‘Homosexuals Engaging in a Sexual Act’ on American Flag

During a debate in 1990 about a constitutional amendment that would ban burning the American flag, then-Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) proposed a bizarre hypothetical to illustrate why he thought it was a slippery slope.

“Parts of the American public occasionally responding to the emotions of the moment; occasionally, occasionally, they pass laws that don’t make sense in the wide scope of things,” Biden said on the Senate floor on June 25, 1990. He went on:

We went through a whole exercise here with Mapplethorpe’s paintings and the National Endowment for the Arts, and they related to paintings – photographs that had to do with homosexual activity. I ask you, assume that there were a painting or a photograph taken of homosexuals engaging in a sexual act on a flag.

Biden argued a constitutional amendment would be the gateway to regulating expression. He said:

Would that be desecrating the flag under this amendment? Let me ask you, does anyone doubt that there might not be at least a few members of this body that would introduce an amendment to the law? We can amend this 99 times, once we pass the constitutional amendment, we can pass any law we want.

Biden Woos Asian American Voters After Trump ‘Kung Flu’ Quips

As President Trump stoked outrage by calling COVID-19 the “kung flu,” presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was quietly courting Asian American voters.

And Biden’s efforts could pad his electoral edge in crucial, culturally diverse battleground states, such as Nevada, Texas, and Georgia.

“Asian Americans are being targeted with violence and subjected to xenophobic rhetoric from the mouth of the president himself,” Biden told Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote’s presidential forum last weekend. . .

Asian Americans represent the fast-growing demographic of eligible voters compared to other major races and ethnicities, the Pew Research Center found last month. The group’s comprised of about 11 million eligible voters, or 5% of the country’s eligible population, up 139% over the past two decades. And the advantage for Biden is that they lean Democratic.

In 2018, Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote estimated that more than 40% of Asian Americans identify as Democrats, as opposed to almost 30% who consider themselves Republicans and roughly the same percentage who think of themselves as independents. To put that in context, of the 5 million Asian Americans who voted in 2016, 4% of the total electorate, three-quarters supported Hillary Clinton to the quarter who cast a ballot for Trump. WATCH: Biden Shows Us – Again – That He Is Not Alright; Nearly 40 Percent of Voters Believe Biden Is Suffering From Dementia

By Red State. Back in the safety of his basement bunker, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden delivered additional evidence that he is not fit to serve as Commander-in-Chief.

In the brief clip below, #BarelyThereBiden confuses President Obama with President Trump. Biden looks old and feeble and speaks in slow, halting speech. He tells his audience, “People..have watched my..me on television. And they’ve watched and the more that Barack, the more that – excuse me – Donald Trump is out…”

Given Biden’s obvious slide into dementia, his commanding lead in both national and critical battleground polls defies logic. Clearly the Democrats’ intention is to utilize Biden as a mere figurehead, but there will be occasions where he will be forced to speak. Can you imagine this man representing the United States overseas? Can you envision what a meeting between Biden and Putin or Kim Jong Un might look like?

As Democrats continue to ignore and, when pressed, to deny Biden’s current cognitive decline, the brief clip below offers a glimpse of how foreigners view his condition. A Sky News Australia reporter asks billionaire Clive Palmer if he thinks Trump will win reelection. (Read more from “Biden Shows Us – Again – That He Is Not Alright” HERE)

20 Percent of Likely Democratic Voters Believe Biden Is Suffering From Dementia

By Daily Caller. Nearly 40% of likely voters believe that former Vice President Joe Biden is experiencing some form of dementia, according to a new poll published Monday.

Twenty percent of Democratic voters believe the presumptive presidential nominee for their party has some form of serious cognitive decline, according to a poll from conservative-leaning pollster Rasmussen Reports. More than 60% of Republicans feel Biden has dementia, as do 30% of voters without a major party affiliation, according to the Rasmussen poll.

Roughly 61% of all voters believe Biden should address the dementia issue publicly, with 41% of voters saying it is very important for the former vice president to provide a comment, the poll shows. Another 36% of voters say the issue is not that important, according to the poll. (Read more from “20 Percent of Likely Democratic Voters Believe Biden Is Suffering From Dementia” HERE)

Biden Signals Willingness to Use ‘Unfettered Discretion’ to Reject Pipelines

Joe Biden is signaling he would make it difficult for developers to obtain federal permits to build fossil fuel infrastructure such as pipelines and liquefied natural gas export facilities, delivering on a key priority of environmental groups.

“There is virtually unfettered discretion there, so long as procedural safeguards are observed,” said Glenn Schwartz, director of policy at Rapidan Energy Group, a consultancy firm.

As his chief tool to curb pipelines and LNG export terminals, Biden could require thorough and lengthy reviews to determine whether a project’s economic value is outweighed by its contribution to climate change.

Biden’s official plan to address climate change commits “that every federal infrastructure investment should reduce climate pollution” and requires “any federal permitting decision to consider the effects of greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.”

“Biden’s assessment and protocols he will put around potential fossil projects is absolutely spot on,” said Jane Kleeb, chairwoman of the Nebraska Democratic Party and a leading grassroots organizer against pipelines. “We can’t keep developing fossil fuel projects and also think we are solving climate change. Those can’t be on parallel tracks.” (Read more from “Biden Signals Willingness to Use ‘Unfettered Discretion’ to Reject Pipelines” HERE)

Democrats Whisper, ‘Biden Landslide’

Democrats, including Joe Biden, are trying not to jinx themselves as the political tide seems to turn against President Trump.

“Ignore the polls. We can’t take anything for granted this November — the stakes are simply too high,” Biden tweeted last week.

Biden’s plea was prompted by surveys reporting he’s got a double-digit berth nationally on Trump four or so months out from the general election. Public opinion averages across the country and in critical swing states suggest it’s a tighter race. But the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee’s still charging ahead in battlegrounds such as Arizona, Michigan, and Wisconsin. And FiveThirtyEight data this week has Biden winning in states worth 368 electoral votes, compared to Trump’s 170.

Trump’s ebbing political fortunes come as both candidates relaunch their bids following the COVID-19 lockdowns. The White House incumbent, who hosted a massive rally Saturday, returns more battered than his opponent, who’s been holding smaller-scale events. Critics have pummeled Trump for his coronavirus response and its effect on the economy since the start of the year. The president’s also been hit for his reaction to the civil unrest triggered after George Floyd, a black man, died last month as a white police officer knelt on his neck. Street Preacher Tells Protester: Elect Biden ‘to See Black Men Get Killed’ (VIDEO)

A Christian evangelist is going viral for comments she made to Seattle protesters denouncing presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and Black Lives Matter.

Bevelyn Beatty, a conservative activist, wore a red poncho speaking to protesters outside the “Capitol Hill Organized Protest” on Monday.

“I know people don’t like Trump. I understand that … If I had to pick between him and Joe Biden, I am not voting in Joe Biden,” she said in a video tweeted by Seattle journalist Katie Daviscourt. “You want to see a bunch of black people go to jail by the next four years, put Joe Biden in. Watch what happens.”

Beatty and Edmee Chavannes, co-founders of At the Well Ministries, who were handcuffed at the end of May praying outside a New York City Planned Parenthood as there were mass protests approved by Mayor Bill de Blasio, were seen speaking to a woman outside the zone in Seattle, formerly known as CHAZ, after telling them: “Black Lives Matter can’t save you. Only Jesus can save you.”

“You want to see black men get killed substantially like you’ve never seen before, put Joe Biden in,” she added. “These Democrats … and I’m not trying to be racist, hate black people.”

WATCH: Biden Used This Controversial Phrase About Confederate Heritage Group; This Is Who People Want to Replace Confederate Statues With

By Fox News. A recently resurfaced video clip shows Joe Biden calling members of a Confederate heritage group “fine people” in 1993 — nearly mirroring President Trump’s 2017 remarks that some protesters opposing the removal of Confederate statues in Charlottesville, Va., were “very fine people.”

Biden declared his 2020 presidential candidacy last year by charging that Trump, in those controversial comments made after white supremacists also joined those protests, had “assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it.” Although Trump noted at the time that he was “not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists because they should be condemned totally,” Democrats and some top Republicans criticized him for not speaking out more forcefully from the start.

However, speaking at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on July 22, 1993, during the confirmation process for Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Biden himself offered something of a positive endorsement for the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC), which has been linked to the Ku Klux Klan.

“I, too, heard that speech and, for the public listening to this, the senator made a very moving and eloquent speech,” Biden said, referring to remarks by then-Alabama Democratic Sen. Howell Thomas Heflin. “As a son of the Confederacy, acknowledging that it was time to change and yield to a position that Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun raised on the Senate floor, not granting a federal charter to an organization made up of many fine people who continue to display the Confederate flag as a symbol.”

New petition advocates replacing confederate monuments with Dolly Parton statues

By Clarksville Now. A new petition suggesting that confederate monuments be replaced with statues of country music icon Dolly Parton have begun circulating throughout Tennessee, gathering thousands of signatures.

“History should not be forgotten, but we need not glamorize those who do not deserve our praise. Instead, let us honor a true Tennessee hero, Dolly Parton…Let’s replace the statues of men who sought to tear this country apart with a monument to the woman who has worked her entire life to bring us closer together,” says Alex Parsons, who started the petition.

The debate over confederate monuments and their removal from public spaces has become a hot topic in the past week as protests over police brutality and systemic racism continue across the country.

Wednesday, June 10, a committee of Tennessee lawmakers voted down a resolution (11-5) to remove the bust of Nathan Bedford Forrest, founder and first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, from the state capitol building. Trump Allies See Biden Plotting to Challenge Defeat in November Election

White House allies believe Joe Biden could be laying the groundwork for a Stacey Abrams-style challenge to a Trump victory in November with his repeated claims that the president is preparing to steal the election.

In an interview with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show, the presumptive Democratic nominee said he was worried Trump would refuse to leave the White House if he lost.

The president has said repeatedly he would accept the results, leaving advisers and allies to conclude that Biden may be preparing public opinion for a protracted tussle over the outcome.

“We all know that Biden isn’t all there these days, but in the infamous words of the Mooch, he’s beginning to sound like a paranoiac,” said a former White House official, referring to Anthony Scaramucci, the short-lived White House communications director. “Is he getting these crazed talking points from ‘Governor’ Stacey Abrams?”

Abrams challenged the outcome of the 2018 Georgia governor’s race, in which she lost narrowly to the Republican candidate, Brian Kemp. That sparked a bitter 10-day battle as Abrams argued that “deliberate and intentional” voter suppression had delivered victory to her rival. Biden Reminds Voters Trump Made America Great Again

Evidence continues to mount that Biden’s staff is sabotaging his slim hope of being elected president. That is the only reasonable explanation for his attack on President Donald John Trump’s economy.

The script they gave Biden was that Obama handed over a perfect economy with a 4.9% unemployment rate.

In a press release, Biden said, “Trump inherited the longest economic expansion in history from the Obama-Biden administration, but like everything else he’s inherited, he has squandered it.”

Fact-check: President Trump dropped taxes and dropped unemployment to 3.5%, its lowest in 50 years. (Read more from “Biden Reminds Voters Trump Made America Great Again” HERE)
