The Navy Quietly Reshuffled the Super Bowl Flyover Team to All-Female Aviators

The U.S. Navy pushed out the original team of aviators for the annual Super Bowl flyover, instead replacing them with an all-female group of flyers.

The final roster will feature 11 female pilots and flight officers. Seven of the pilots will perform the opening ceremony. According to the Daily Caller, The purported reason for the sudden change was to more adequately celebrate the 50th anniversary of women being allowed to fly in the Navy’s aviation program.

“The flyover also commemorates 50 years of women flying in the U.S. Navy. In 1973 the first eight women began flight school in Pensacola, Fla., and one year later six of those eight women, titled “The First Six,” earned their Wings of Gold,” a press release regarding the change stated. “Since then, women have served, operated and led at every level of Naval Aviation.”

The original group of 15 officers had three women on the team, and received several angry responses on social media for the lack of diversity in a lineup put together to honor female navy pilots. (Read more from “The Navy Quietly Reshuffled the Super Bowl Flyover Team to All-Female Aviators” HERE)

Eminem Kneels During Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Despite Reports NFL Told Him That He Couldn’t

By Brian Linder. Eminem made his name in the early 2000s as a rapper who was not afraid to throw up a middle finger to the man and push every boundary put in front of him.

He is apparently still at it because at the end of his “Lose Yourself,” set during Sunday’s Super Bowl LVI halftime show the Detroit rapper took a knee on stage.

And that is something the NFL reportedly told him specifically that he could not do heading into the night.

Eminem was trending on social media as the game began when reports indicated that his request that he be able to take a knee in support of protests against social injustices and racial inequality was rebuffed by the league. WATCH: Senate Hopeful Torches Biden’s Super Bowl-Sized Fails in ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Ad

Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania Dave McCormick is running a “Let’s go Brandon” Super Bowl ad Sunday, highlighting the “self-inflicted” problems facing President Biden and his administration.

Fox News obtained McCormick’s 30-second ad, which is expected to air across NBC platforms during the Super Bowl in Pennsylvania.

The ad plays the “Let’s go Brandon” chant, as it shows headlines of issues plaguing the Biden administration — like rising inflation, the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, a surge in crime, and record-high illegal border crossings.

The phrase, “Let’s go Brandon,” took the internet by storm in early October after an NBC reporter at a NASCAR Xfinity Series race incorrectly reported that fans in the stands were chanting “Let’s Go Brandon” following a victory by driver Brandon Brown, when they were really shouting, “F— Joe Biden!” The phrase has since become a popular anti-Biden rallying cry.

“The issues we are facing are so much bigger than ‘Brandon,’” McCormick told Fox News. “The frustration and anger we are feeling toward the failures of our current leadership in Washington is what motivated me to run.” (Read more from “WATCH: Senate Hopeful Torches Biden’s Super Bowl-Sized Fails in ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Ad” HERE)

Selective Outrage? Mainstream Media Outlets Are Freaking Out Over ‘Superspreader’ Super Bowl Celebrations

A host of mainstream media outlets published articles over the last few days criticizing football fans for celebrating in Tampa, Florida during this year’s Super Bowl, warning that by doing so they risked making the game a coronavirus “superspreader” event.

However, those same outlets had comparatively little to say about the large gatherings that took place after President Joe Biden’s election win or over the course of the last year during Black Lives Matter protests. . .

One glaring example of the double standard was exhibited by the New York Times, which published a story early Monday morning, headlined, “In Tampa, Super Bowl Celebrations Bring Superspreader Concerns.”

In the story, Times writer Neil Vigdor complained about how the streets of Tampa “teemed with boozy revelers into the wee hours of Monday, many of them ignoring pleas by medical experts to social distance and wear masks,” following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ rout of the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. . .

Yet, in a story published in early November, headlined, “A Rollicking N.Y.C. Celebration for Biden’s Win, Well Into the Night,” the Times made no mention of the coronavirus risks, even as it noted how “thousands of people poured into Times Square” to cheer Trump’s ousting.

Rewatch the Super Bowl Ad Honoring the American Flag Featuring Johnny Cash and Cpl. Kyle Carpenter

The Fox network aired a tribute to the United States of America and its flag before Super Bowl LIV kicked off on Sunday. The ad featured Medal of Honor recipient Cpl. Kyle Carpenter, families of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and had Johnny Cash’s “Ragged Old Flag” as its soundtrack.

The ad also features owners of various NFL team owners telling how Cash wrote the song and praised America’s military men and women.

Carpenter received the nation’s highest medal for military service while he was with Company F, 2d Battalion, 9th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 1, 1st Marine Division (Forward), 1 Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), in Helmand Province, Afghanistan in 2010.

Then-Lance Corporal Carpenter and a fellow Marine were on a rooftop providing security when the enemy threw hand grenades, with one landing inside their sandbagged position. According to his citation, Carpenter landed onto of the grenades without hesitation, taking the full brunt of the blast. Against the odds, he survived and began his long road to recovery, culminating in receiving the Medal of Honor for his actions in 2014.

‘I Want to Thank the Lord’: These Super Bowl LIV Winners Give God All the Glory; Patrick Mahomes Leads Chiefs to Late Comeback Win Over 49ers in Thrilling Game

By CBN News. The Kansas City Chiefs are taking home the trophy after winning Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Florida, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31 – 20 after a remarkable comeback.

After the victory, Chiefs Chairman and CEO Chuck Hunt said, “I want to thank the Lord for blessing us with all these incredible people to bring this trophy home.” . . .

Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named MVP of the Super Bowl, carrying the ball into the end zone on his own for one of the Chiefs’ crucial touchdowns. He’s easily one of the most electrifying players in the league and he says his faith in God is the source of his success.

“Doing what I do every single day, and then knowing that as long I’m doing everything the right way, the way that He’d want me to do it, then I can walk off the field with my head held high and be able to be the man that I’m supposed to be. It’s given me a lot of blessing in my life and I’m trying to maximize and glorify Him in everything I do,” said Mahomes.

The 49ers running back Raheem Mostert played a key role in helping his team take the lead earlier in the big game. Mostert says his faith in God helps him weather the bumps and blows of life. (Read more from “‘I Want to Thank the Lord’: These Super Bowl LIV Winners Give God All the Glory” HERE)

2020 Super Bowl Score: Patrick Mahomes Leads Chiefs to Late Comeback Win Over 49ers in Thrilling Game

By CBS Sports. A chilly, breezy night in South Florida ended with fireworks as the Kansas City Chiefs concluded Super Bowl LIV in signature fashion, coming back from a double-digit deficit to leave Hard Rock Stadium with a double-digit win in Super Bowl LIV, 31-20 over the San Francisco 49ers. After seeing his offense somewhat limited for three quarters, Chiefs star quarterback and game MVP Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City with two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the go-ahead score, as Kansas City’s defense held San Francisco scoreless over the final 15 minutes. . .

Two weeks after that on Super Bowl Sunday, it again looked like the Chiefs’ run was flat-out over. They didn’t fall down quite as quickly this time around, and that’s what actually made things seem more dire. This time, the Chiefs went down by double digits with just over 2 minutes left in the third quarter, and by midway through the fourth, they had yet to cut into the deficit.

But with 8:33 left on the clock, Mahomes went to work. He found wide receiver Tyreek Hill open in space on multiple occasions, including on a 44-yard bomb that set the Chiefs up in position to score for the first time since early in the second quarter. He then found tight end Travis Kelce open over the top of the defense, but Kelce was interfered with and the ball was placed on the 1-yard line. A fake to running back Damien Williams and a bit of a rollout left Kelce wide open in the end zone on the next play, and the Chiefs had sliced their deficit to just three points. . .

Despite trailing for more than 21 minutes of game time, the Chiefs finally reclaimed the lead. They never relinquished it. In fact, they only added to it with Williams tacking on another score with 1:12 to play as Kansas City was simply attempting to run out the clock for their first Super Bowl victory in half a century. . .

In the end, Mahomes and Williams and Hill and Kelce and Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo (through his unheralded defense) wound up with yet another double-digit playoff victory despite having face a double-digit deficit early in the game. It’s what these Chiefs did all postseason, and it was how they ultimately won Super Bowl LIV. Trump Supporter Nick Bosa Voted Defensive Rookie of the Year; Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers Set for Super Bowl Showdown

By Breitbart. While President Trump rallies voters to his cause in the run up to the 2020 election, one of his supporters has already secured a crushing majority of votes in a more low-profile, albeit important election of his own.

49ers defensive end and noted Trump supporter Nick Bosa, secured an overwhelming number of votes and won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. The former Buckeye received 43 of the 50 votes for the award, with the remaining 7 votes going to three different players.

Away from the field, Bosa has referred to President Trump as the “GOAT” on Twitter, he has also tweeted support of conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, and called anthem-protester Colin Kaepernick “a Clown.”

After he was drafted #2 overall by the 49ers, Trump congratulated the former Buckeye to “stay true” to himself:

WATCH: Trump’s Compelling Super Bowl Ad Ignores Two Key Economic Realities

Super Bowl viewers hoping for a break from partisan bickering and politics are in for a disappointment. Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg bought a commercial for the widely-watched event and decided to use his chance to reach millions of Americans to push misinformation and fearmonger in favor of his anti-gun agenda. Meanwhile, President Trump tapped into his war chest to run an ad of his own, making the case for his reelection.

Trump spent $11 million on the commercial, which emphasizes his strong economic record. It highlights the record-low unemployment rate we’ve seen during this administration, as well as burgeoning wage growth and strong economic prospects for African Americans and Hispanics. The president makes the case that voters should back him because “the best is yet to come.”

As my Washington Examiner colleague Tiana Lowe noted, it’s a strong ad with the right focus. Trump is wise politically to focus on the economy, rather than repeat his 2018 midterm mistake and make 2020 about anti-immigration sentiment. And the president absolutely does deserve credit for the successful economic results we’ve seen in part due to his tax cuts, deregulatory agenda, and pro-business policies. But, as most political ads do, Trump’s commercial leaves out a few key economic realities that voters ought to be aware of.

For one, Trump has completely, utterly failed to reign in the national debt and the annual budget deficit.

On the campaign trail in 2016, he promised to eliminate the debt entirely within eight years. (A very, very unrealistic promise.) Instead, we’re back up to $1 trillion annual deficits, bloated budget deals, and woeful future fiscal projects from the Congressional Budget Office. This isn’t entirely Trump’s fault, as both parties’ leaderships in Congress deserve serious demerits for such reckless spending as well, yet, it’s a blight on his tenure nonetheless, especially in light of the unrealistic promises he made. Insanity: Drag Queens Will Be Featured for the First Time in a Super Bowl Ad (VIDEO)

. . .Drag queens, for the first time, will appear in a Super Bowl advertisement. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alumni Kim Chi and Miz Cracker will make history in a commercial for hummus brand Sabra during the football championship game Feb. 2, when the Kansas City Chiefs will face the San Francisco 49ers.

In the teaser for the ad campaign, which the New York-based company posted on its YouTube channel last week, Miz Cracker clumsily attempts to put a football helmet on over her sizable wig.

“I hope this doesn’t give me helmet hair,” she says, while Kim Chi looks on skeptically. . .

Bob Witeck, a longtime marketing strategist who specializes in reaching LGBTQ audiences, called Sabra’s drag ad “revolutionary.” (Read more from “Insanity: Drag Queens Will Be Featured for the First Time in a Super Bowl Ad (VIDEO)” HERE)

Who Owns Sabra?

From the Jerusalem Post: “Sabra Dipping Company is owned by two independent global food companies – PepsiCo, based in the U.S. and Strauss Group, which is headquartered in Israel,” Sabra Spokeswoman Ilya Welfeld said in a statement issued to local NBC affiliate NBC4.

“Each company is a separate entity and independent company,” she said, adding that Sabra has “no political positions or affiliations.”

WATCH: Epic National Anthem Before AFC Championship Game Where Chiefs Beat Titans, Advance to Super Bowl, While CFO Says His Identity Remains in Christ

By Sports Illustrated. Sunday marked the second consecutive year that the Lamar Hunt Trophy, named after the late Chiefs founder and given to the winner of the AFC, was in Arrowhead Stadium for the conference championship. Last year against the Patriots, it was supposed to come home with head coach Andy Reid, league MVP Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs. Up to that point in time, last year’s title game was the biggest home game in team history. But the Chiefs came up just short as Mahomes could only watch as Patriots QB Tom Brady orchestrated an overtime drive to send New England to Super Bowl LIII. . .

For the first time since 1970, the Kansas City Chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl, ending the fourth-longest drought in league history. For two generations, Chiefs fans have watched in agony as one of the league’s marquee franchises failed to play in the sport’s biggest game. But in their 35-24 win over the Tennessee Titans, Mahomes made sure that Sunday’s outcome would be the opposite of what occurred one year earlier.

“To be here, to be in Chiefs kingdom, to be able to do it in Arrowhead, these people deserve it,” Mahomes told CBS’ Tracy Wolfson after the win.

An early 10-point deficit proved to be no barrier. And instead, with 7:33 to go in the fourth quarter, Mahomes raised both of his arms to the sky and faced the home crowd. Seconds earlier, he had completed a 60-yard TD pass to WR Sammy Watkins giving his team a 34–17 lead. A Super Bowl berth was in reach. Video: Epic National Anthem Before AFC Championship Game

By The Spun. The national anthem is an often overlooked element element of any sports game, but there are times when it is performed so incredibly well that it’s on everyone’s mind. That’s exactly what we got today prior to the start of the AFC Championship Game.

Performing the national anthem in the pregame was former Navy officer Generald Wilson. While he may not have starpower of such legendary anthem performers as Whitney Houston or Gladys Knight, Wilson’s rendition was about as moving as powerful as any of his predecessors.

He hit the high note on “was still there” with such power that all of Arrowhead Stadium started cheering.

Christ is Central to Chief’s Owner and Quarterback

By Joshua Pease. Hunt, who became a Christian at 10 years old, has built a culture around his Christian faith, saying he makes it a top priority for his staff.

“We want our employees to develop spiritually,” Hunt said in October at the CityFest East Texas Men’s Luncheon, according to the Tyler Morning Telegraph. “In the National Football League, Christ is really glorified. My identity is my faith in Christ.”

In the same speech, Hunt also praised star QB Patrick Mahomes, the reigning NFL MVP who has led the Chiefs to the AFC championship game in each of his first two seasons as a starter. Hunt said the Chiefs were in search of a young quarterback to take the team to the next level, and Mahomes has turned out to be that guy.

“Watching Patrick last year was an unbelievable revelation,” Hunt said. “You would have thought he was a 10-year veteran.” (Read more from this story HERE)

Mahomes has also talked publicly about the role his faith plays in his life.
