DeSantis Fires Back at Biden After No Contact Before Hurricane Hits: ‘We Don’t Have Time for Pettiness’

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) slammed President Joe Biden during a press conference Tuesday as the state prepares to be hit by a category 3 hurricane.

The remarks from DeSantis come after Biden held separate calls earlier in the day with Mayor Jane Castor of Tampa, Mayor Ken Welch of St. Petersburg, and Mayor Frank Hibbard of Clearwater. An official White House readout of the calls made no mention of the president speaking with DeSantis.

A reporter asked the governor how he would characterize his conversations with Biden as the hurricane prepares to make landfall.

“So I have not personally spoken with the president, but FEMA has approved our pre-landfall request,” DeSantis said.

“We feel like we have a good relationship with FEMA,” he continued. “You know, I’m happy to brief the president if he’s interested in hearing what we’re doing in Florida, you know, my view on all this is like you got people’s lives at stake, you got their property at stake, and we don’t have time for pettiness. We got to work together to make sure we’re doing the best job for them.”

Grocery Shop With Me to Fact-Check Biden’s Inflation up ‘Hardly at All’ Claim

By now you’ve no doubt heard about President Joe Biden’s interview with “60 Minutes” in which he declared the pandemic “over” and said unequivocally that, “yes,” the United States will come to Taiwan’s defense whenever China attacks. He also made some dubious claims about inflation. . .

I went to the grocery store and ran some numbers, and I too was shocked by what I found. . .

While doing some personal shopping, I took inventory of basic items (universal brands if the store had them), some of which were “on sale.” I documented each item’s regular price. Then, using data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), I cross-referenced those prices with grocery costs during a comparable time in recent memory: the last midterms in 2018 under President Donald Trump — a year and a half into the presidency and during a time of strong political incentives to keep Americans happy. . .

Let’s start with breakfast, as you do. In September 2018, bacon cost $5.50 per pound, according to BLS averages. Today, those delicious piggy strips will run you about $7.99 per pound for your run-of-the-mill brand. . .

Here’s How Much Joe Biden’s Student Loan Cancellations Cost

The Biden administration’s plan to cancel student debt is estimated by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to cost the U.S. federal government over $400 billion over the next 30 years.

Biden’s plan, announced in August, involves providing up to $10,000 in debt relief to borrowers who earn less than $125,000 per year, or $20,000 in debt relief to Pell Grant recipients who meet similar income standards. An application to receive the benefit is expected in early October.

“As of June 30, 2022, 43 million borrowers held $1.6 trillion in federal student loans. About $430 billion of that debt will be canceled, CBO estimates,” CBO Director Phillip Swagel told Republican lawmakers in a letter on Monday (pdf), in response to a request for figures.

“In its May 2022 baseline, CBO projected that for many borrowers in income-driven repayment plans, a portion of the amounts canceled through executive action would eventually be forgiven anyway,” he added. “CBO also projected that many borrowers in fixed-length repayment plans would accrue and pay interest on the principal amounts canceled through executive action. Obama Says Racism Reason Why Americans Oppose Biden’s Open Borders

Americans oppose President Joe Biden’s lawless and wage-cutting mass migration because they are racist, not because of their economic worries, according to former President Barack Obama.

“Right now, the biggest fuel behind the Republican agenda is related to immigration and the fear that somehow America’s character is going to be changed if, people of darker shades, there are too many of them here,” Obama told a meeting of Hispanic realtors on September 25 in San Diego, California.

Obama used his divide-and-rule claims of racism to hide the public opposition to migration’s economic impact, according to his comments posted in a September 25 report by the San Diego Union-Tribune:

I wish I could be more euphemistic about it except [they’re] not that subtle about it — they’re just kind of saying it,” Obama said. “You hear it on hard-right media, you hear it from candidates and politicians, you hear things like ‘great replacement theory’ — I mean, this is not subtle. Unless we’re able to return to a more inclusive vision inside the Republican Party, it’s going to be hard to get a bill done.

This Senator Wants to Know Why Pro-Lifers Are Held to an Unequal Standard by Biden’s DOJ

The Department of Justice (DOJ) under President Joe Biden has not only gone after former President Donald Trump, who may be a political rival once more in 2024, but ordinary citizens as well. As Sarah covered over the weekend, the FBI raided the home of and arrested Mark Houck for allegedly violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. The raid came in the early morning hours of last Friday, as Houck’s wife and seven children watched in horror. The details keep getting worse, too, with the raid adding insult to injury considering Houck was already going to have turned himself in.

Houck, however, does appear to have support from Republican members of Congress though. On Monday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), who has been tweeting and retweeting his outrage about Houck’s arrest, sent a letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland inquiring about the tactics employed.

Ex-Clinton Adviser Predicts Dems Will ‘Dump’ Biden in Favor of Hillary in 2024

Democrats plan to “dump” President Biden and call on Hillary Clinton to run for a third time in 2024 out of fear that a more radical left-wing candidate could end up on the ticket, veteran political consultant Dick Morris said in a new interview.

The longtime Bill Clinton adviser made the prediction on John Catsimatidis’ WABC radio show “Cats Roundtable” Sunday morning amid renewed speculation that 79-year-old Biden will not seek a second term.

Dems “are planning to dump Biden,” said the self-proclaimed “secret adviser” to former President Donald Trump, adding that Clinton would be the party’s nominee if no other centrist candidate emerged.

“Once Biden pulls out, the polling will show that the Democrats are leaning toward some crazy radical like Gavin Newson, Bernie Sanders. Maybe even AOC herself,” Morris opined.

“That’s going to drive the Democratic Party leaders to go to Hillary and say, ‘Hey look. Please run again. We need you to save us from the crazy left,” he continued. “Otherwise we’ll have Sanders as our candidate. We’ll lose Congress by a ton. The Case for Impeachment Gets Stronger

Over six months ago, I made the case here at American Greatness for impeaching Joe Biden. The case has only grown stronger in the interim. Not only has more information come to light about Biden’s illegal conduct, but he also has pushed a number of new policies that are constitutionally suspect at best and deserve intensive congressional scrutiny—assuming the Republicans don’t blow the midterms in November.

I argued that the impeachment effort should be about educating moderate voters, independent voters, and even working-class Democrats about the stunning number of unconstitutional actions undertaken by the Biden Administration. It doesn’t matter if the GOP doesn’t have the two-thirds vote necessary in the Senate to convict and remove Biden from office. That’s not the point. After all, a successful impeachment and removal would put Kamala Harris in the Oval Office, and she may be even worse.

Some pundits claim that impeaching Biden would hurt the GOP politically. That’s nuts. The Democrats impeached Trump twice and used those hearings to convince many former Trump voters to abandon him in 2020. Along with all the “2000 Mules”-type cheating, it worked.

Similarly, the GOP should drag out the impeachment hearings for a year while they feature an array of credible witnesses to testify how this man has declared war on the American middle class and brought our country to the brink of economic collapse. Try as they might, such political theater would be difficult for the media to ignore.

Biden’s impeachable actions include his refusal to enforce immigration laws; the debacle in Afghanistan; the nuclear deal with Iran; the Hunter Biden scandal; using the COVID epidemic to illegally accumulate power; weaponizing the FBI and Department of Justice against Americans; violating the rights of January 6 protestors; and working with Big Tech to censor the First Amendment rights of Americans. Poll: More Than Half of Democrats Don’t Want Biden as 2024 Nominee

More than half of Democrats responding to a new survey have revealed they would prefer a candidate other than President Joe Biden as their candidate in 2024.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll found that 56% of Democrats wanted a different candidate, with just 35% preferring Biden in the next presidential election.

“Looking two years off, just 35 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents favor Biden for the 2024 nomination; 56 percent want the party to pick someone else. Republicans and GOP-leaning independents, for their part, split 47-46 percent on whether Donald Trump should be their 2024 nominee – a 20-point drop for Trump compared with his 2020 nomination,” a news release regarding the poll stated. “The unpopularity of both figures may encourage third-party hopefuls, though they rarely do well.”

By Daily Mail. Joe Biden, 79, faced yet another public embarrassment Wednesday evening when he appeared to get lost while walking off stage following his remarks at the Global Fund Conference.

As applause ensued, the U.S. president began walking off the stage before abruptly stopping in his tracks and looking around with an appearance of confusion on his face.

He then seemed to ask people on the ground how to get off stage and did a few stuttering steps.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz called the scene ‘terrifying,’ on Twitter, with his communications adviser Steve Guest adding in own own tweet: ‘Joe Biden is completely lost on stage. Scary and sad.’

A man came to the microphone at the event to say: ‘Uh, Mr. President, thank you,’ as he wandered around the stage.

President Joe Biden Appears to Get Confused on Where to Exit the Stage After Speech at Global Fund Conference

By Sky News. Concerns surrounding whether President Joe Biden is fit enough to be the leader of the United States have been raised again after he appeared lost on stage. . .

The 79-year-old had finished his speech at the Global Fund Conference in New York on Thursday to the applause of the crowd when he turned away from the lectern.

He proceeded to take a few steps, with both arms gingerly positioned in front of himself, when he abruptly stopped and glanced back.

President Biden appeared dazed and looked around before asking either members of the crowd or his security team how to exit the stage.

Nancy Pelosi Refuses to Answer if She’ll Support a 2024 Biden Run (VIDEO)

When asked on Thursday whether President Joe Biden should run for reelection or if Democrats should advance another candidate, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not provide an answer to the question.

Pelosi said that Biden performed a “great service” for the nation, noting that he beat former President Donald Trump. But the lawmaker said that she would not get into politics regarding whether Biden should run in 2024. . .

But in a recent interview on “60 Minutes,” Biden said that if he announced a reelection bid, election law-related matters would arise. He said that it is “too early” for making such a decision. The president said that he intends to seek reelection, but he noted that is “just an intention.”

A CBS News/YouGov survey of adults in the U.S. found that 73% believe there should be maximum age limits for elected figures — the poll found that this sentiment is shared by a majority of people across the political spectrum.

A USA Today/Ipsos poll of adults in the U.S. found that 56% of Democratic voters do not think that Biden should seek another term.
