Congressman Introduces Resolution to Remove Nancy Pelosi from the House

Rep. Ralph Abraham (R-LA) has introduced a concise resolution that calls for removing Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) from the House of Representatives.

“Resolved, That pursuant to Article I, Section 5, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, Representative Nancy Pelosi, be, and she hereby is, expelled from the House of Representatives and the Office of the Speaker is declared to be vacant,” the brief resolution declares.

. . .

In a press release about his resolution Rep. Abraham blasted Speaker Pelosi:

“Nancy Pelosi’s vicious crusade against our lawfully-elected President is nothing more than a politically-motivated witch hunt and it must be stopped. She has disgraced the people’s House and weaponized the Speaker’s gavel for her party’s political gain,” said Abraham. “House Democrats spent nearly three years obsessed with election meddling only to dwarf any such efforts with their own deceitful plan to nullify the 2016 election and prevent President Trump from winning in 2020. I have introduced a resolution calling for her to be expelled from the House and for the Speaker’s Office to be vacated.”

Nancy Pelosi Has Fast-Tracked Impeachment. Here Is What That Means.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced late last week that she plans on “fast-tracking” an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, stemming from allegations that Trump demanded information about Joe Biden’s son from Ukrainian authorities.

USA Today reports that although Congress can’t officially “fast-track” an impeachment inquiry, House leaders can move as quickly as possible to get the inquiry on the calendar, and that’s precisely what Pelosi and her team intend to do.

So far, Democrats have had difficulty transitioning the evidence they’ve been provided into an open-and-shut case, but that’s not stopping a select House panel from scheduling depositions, even though Congress leaves this week for a two-week vacation ahead of the final session of the year. USA Today suggests that some in the Democratic leadership want articles of impeachment on the table by Thanksgiving so that the ensuing hearings have the greatest impact possible on the 2020 presidential election cycle (even if it looks like Democrats on the trail won’t benefit).

The impeachment inquiry is, at least, taking priority over the dozens of other investigation currently being pursued by various House committees. Any research being done into Donald Trump’s potential violations of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause, questions about his campaign’s ties to Russian officials, or probes into whether the White House obstructed justice during Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation (or any other of a handful of Democratic deep dives) will now take a backseat to the Ukrainian issue, since that’s the issue du jour.

“The plan for now, according to lawmakers, is to prioritize the Ukraine investigation, which is being led by the House Intelligence Committee, while other panels wrap up their probes and send their best cases to the House Judiciary Committee,” USA Today reports. WATCH: Pelosi’s Words About Impeachment in 1998 Come Back to Haunt Her

Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s words from 1998 about the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton are being used against her now as many critics are calling her a hypocrite in light of her decision this week to push for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

“Today, the Republican majority is not judging the president with fairness, but impeaching him with a vengeance,” Pelsoi said on December 18, 1998. “In the investigation of the president, fundamental principles which Americans hold dear — privacy, fairness, checks and balances — have been seriously violated. And why Because we are here today because the Republicans in the House are paralyzed with hatred of President Clinton. And until the Republicans free themselves of this hatred, our country will suffer.”

Pelosi’s words stand out after it was announced this week that the Democrats are moving ahead with their plans to impeach Trump over a phone call that he had with Ukraine, which Pelosi condemned after admitting that she had not even read the transcript of the phone call.

Polls: American Voters DO NOT Want Impeachment; 2020 Dem: Trump Impeachment Will ‘Further Tear Apart an Already Divided Country’

By Breitbart. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced Tuesday that the House would begin a formal impeachment inquiry to streamline Democrats’ various investigations into President Trump, despite all the latest polls showing that the majority of American voters do not want impeachment.

Since July, polls have showed that at least half of American voters have opposed beginning impeachment or an impeachment inquiry. However, Democrats have decided that a whistleblower complaint alleging that Trump pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s son for corruption related to his work in Ukraine was a tipping point. Gabbard: Trump Impeachment Will ‘Further Tear Apart an Already Divided Country’

By Breitbart. Tuesday on CNN’s “Newsroom,” 2020 presidential hopeful Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) warned the impeachment of President Donald Trump would further “divide the country.”

Gabbard said, “I think the question of impeachment would further tear apart an already divided country. I think it’s important Donald Trump is defeated. I believe I can defeat him in 2020. But it’s the voters who need to make that choice unequivocally.” (Read more from “Gabbard: Trump Impeachment Will ‘Further Tear Apart an Already Divided Country’” HERE)

House Democrats Plan Meeting for Trump Impeachment

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will convene the Democratic caucus at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Tuesday to discuss whether to impeach President Donald Trump.

The new development, reported by Washington Post congressional correspondent Rachel Bade on Monday evening, comes in the wake of reports late last week that President Trump encouraged Ukrainian officials to re-open inquiries into the business dealings of former president Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

As Breitbart News reported earlier this year, Biden forced out former Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin as he was investigating an energy company called Burisma Holdings, which was paying Biden handsomely as a member of its board. The former vice president even boasted to the Council of Foreign Relations last year that he had threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid unless the prosecutor was fired. (He did not tell the audience about his son’s role.) Conservatives claim Biden obstructed justice to protect his son — who enriched himself using his father’s prestige.

It is not clear what law, if any, Trump would have broken by urging the Ukrainian government to re-open the case. The alleged “whistleblower” in the case did not hear his conversations with Ukrainian leaders directly, and the Wall Street Journal has suggested there was no quid pro quo — that Trump did not offer (or withhold) anything in return. . .

In July, the House voted 332-95 to postpone an impeachment resolution. As of last week, the Democrats only had 175 votes for impeachment from their 235 member — 43 votes short of the 218 necessary for a House majority. Almost all of the Democratic presidential contenders support impeachment, but only 37% of the public support it, while half oppose impeachment, according to the most recent Politico/Morning Consult poll released last week. Nancy Pelosi Just Delivered a Kill Shot to House Democrats’ Impeachment Hopes

. . .So, a majority of House Democrats backs impeaching Trump. What say, you Speaker Nancy Pelosi? She isn’t budging. She knows this move will animate the GOP base. This is the declaration of nuclear political war, and she knows her side could very well lose. In fact, she knows it will; the Republicans control the Senate and they’re not going to go along with this nonsense. The Trump-Russia collusion myth has been thoroughly dissected as trash. There is no appetite to impeach with voters. As our friends at Twitchy noted, even pollsters are signaling that support for impeaching Trump has dropped.

Democrats Find Nancy Pelosi Broke House Rules by Calling Trump ‘Racist’

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was found to have broken the rules of the U.S. House of Representatives by calling President Donald Trump “racist” on the floor Tuesday, but Democrats voted to keep her remarks in the record and restore her speaking privileges.

Pelosi had delivered a statement calling the president racist as a prelude to voting on a House resolution to that effect. Rep. Chris Collins (R-GA) raised a point of order, objecting that Pelosi’s statement was a violation of House rules. . .

Pelosi Uses the Bible to Condemn Trump’s Immigration Policies

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi used a parable of Jesus to condemn President Trump’s immigration policy, in a Sunday tweet that also offered illegal immigrants advice if Immigration and Customs Enforcement shows up at their door. . .

The Christian parable of the Good Samaritan, found in the Gospel of Luke, was a sermon by Jesus in which he depicted a Jewish man who had been robbed, beaten, and left on the side of the road. Though ignored by several people, the man at last was rescued by a Samaritan, with whom the Jews of that time were enemies. The story is considered by scholars and theologians to be an example of love transcending personal prejudice.

The speaker’s tweet draws upon the same story shared Sunday by Pope Francis, who tweeted, “In today’s Gospel, Jesus proposes the Samaritan as a model. By loving his neighbor as himself, he demonstrates how to love God with one’s whole heart, while at the same time expressing true religiosity and full humanity.”

According to Ocasio-Cortez, the Feud Between Her and Pelosi Is Because of Racism

Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) attacked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during multiple recent interviews, going as far as to say that she believes that Pelosi is targeting her because Pelosi is racist. . .

“The last time I kind of spoke to her one on one was when she asked me to join the Select Committee on Climate Change,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “I was assigned to some of the busiest committees and four subcommittees. So my hands are full. And sometimes I wonder if they’re trying to keep me busy.”

Ocasio-Cortez suggested to The Washington Post on Wednesday that Pelosi was a racist: “When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood. But the persistent singling out . . . it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful . . . the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”

Pelosi has repeatedly mocked Ocasio-Cortez and the other three far-left freshmen House Democrats, recently telling The New York Times: “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world. But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”

Pelosi echoed a similar statement in April, saying: “While there are people who have a large number of Twitter followers, what’s important is that we have large numbers of votes on the floor of the House.” (Read more from “According to Ocasio-Cortez, the Feud Between Her and Pelosi Is Because of Racism” HERE)

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nancy Pelosi Throw down over Border Spending Bill

Over the weekend, the notoriously frosty relationship between Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and newcomer progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez turned heated after Pelosi lobbed a thinly-veiled insult at Ocasio-Cortez’s Twitter politicking.

On Friday, Pelosi aired a series of grievances in The New York Times, hitting back at Ocasio-Cortez and fellow progressives, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) for failing to fall in line behind the Democratic caucus and approve a $4.5 billion emergency spending bill aimed at addressing the humanitarian crisis at the southern border, even after the quartet complained loudly of the treatment asylum seekers were receiving.

“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world,” Pelosi said. “But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”

Pelosi seemed particularly aggrieved by a statement, put out by the four women (among others) chastising Democrats for funding what they believe to be a murderous organization hellbent on destroying the lives of immigrants. . .

“As I say to these people, come to my basement. I have these signs about single-payer from 30 years ago. I understand what they’re saying. But we have a responsibility to get something done, which is different from advocacy. We have to have a solution, not just a Twitter fight,” she told the Times. “If the left doesn’t think I’m left enough, so be it.”
