Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have finally admitted to The Daily Beast that they were not married three days before their official ceremony, as they had claimed in their interview with Oprah Winfrey.

A spokesperson for the couple conceded Monday that “the couple exchanged personal vows a few days before their official/legal wedding on May 19.”

That backyard exchange of personal vows does not constitute marriage.

The belated admission on the record, which follows several anonymous briefings to journalists, marks the end of a tortuous saga that began when Meghan told Oprah she and Harry tied the knot “in our backyard” three days before the $50 million public wedding on May 19, 2018. Riot Against Proposed Protest Law Leaves 20 Cops Injured

Thousands of Britons rioted into the early hours Monday against plans to give UK police new powers to crackdown on protests — leaving 20 cops injured, including one with a punctured lung, officials said.

At least 5,000 people initially joined afternoon protests in Bristol against the planned legislation, BristolLive said, with many carrying placards that condemned a feared “police state” and “dictatorship.”

The so-called “Kill the Bill” protests then turned violent when “several thousand” people descended on a police precinct in the southwest England city — sparking a fiery riot raged for hours, the local outlet said.

After rioters attempted to push over a police van, officers were caught on two fronts, the outlet said — with police vehicles also getting torched and the precinct’s windows smashed. Sickening New Curriculum Mandates Teaching Atheism in Public Schools

A new curriculum for teaching religion in Wales mandates that atheism be given “equal footing” with Christianity and any other faith. . .

The U.K.’s Christian Institute said the Welsh parliament has voted to replace its previous religious education standards for schools with new “Religion, Values and Ethics” training that is compulsory.

“A plan to give atheists a veto over any religious teaching in schools was dropped, but the Curriculum and Assessment (Wales) Bill allows for disproportionate time to be spent studying Humanism or atheism,” the institute said. . .

The right for parents to withdraw their children from unwanted religious indoctrination or sex education lessons was removed.

UK Working on ‘Vaccine Passport’

The government is reportedly working on a “vaccine passport” in anticipation that holiday destinations like Greece will demand proof of immunity before granting entry to visitors.

Earlier this week, Denmark became one of the first countries in the world to commit to a government-endorsed immunity certificate. The nation’s Acting Minister of Finance Morten Bødskov said initially the certificates, which could be available by the end of this month, would allow for businessmen to travel overseas but could also be used as “extra security” when reopening Danish society after months of restrictions.

Sources speaking to The Times said the British government was working on similar documentation, as countries like Greece have said they prepare to lift quarantine restrictions for tourists if they can prove they have been inoculated.

A combined effort of the British Department for Health and Social Care, the Department for Transport, and the Foreign Office is working on the options for the “vaccine passport”. UK Travelers Have a New Requirement to Meet Before Entering the U.S. (VIDEO)

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) on Thursday issued a new guidance requiring travelers flying from the United Kingdom to the United States to provide a negative Wuhan coronavirus test. The new requirement is set to go into effect on Monday.

According to the Associated Press, airline passengers must provide a negative COVID-19 test within three days of their trip. The results have to be provided directly to the airline.

China Threatens the UK After Boris Johnson Offers 3 Million Hong Kong Citizens Refuge

China on Wednesday told Britain to “step back from the brink” and “stop interfering” in China’s affairs after Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he would offer 3 million Hong Kong citizens the right to come live in the UK. . .

“Today about 350,000 people hold British Nationals (Overseas) passports and another 2.5 million people would be eligible to apply for them. At present these passports allow for visa-free access for up to six months,” Johnson said.

“If China imposes its national security law, the British government will change its immigration rules and allow any holder of these passports from Hong Kong to come to the UK for a renewable period of 12 months and be given further immigration rights including the right to work which would place them on the route to citizenship.” . . .

China hit back, telling Johnson that his intervention would “backfire.”

“We advise the UK to step back from the brink, abandon their Cold War mentality and colonial mindset, and recognise and respect the fact that Hong Kong has returned” to China, Zhao Lijian, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, said at a briefing, according to Agence France-Presse. UK Prime Minister Admitted to Hospital; Fired Commander of Aircraft Carrier Tested Positive for Coronavirus

By Breitbart. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to hospital for tests over his infection with coronavirus, ten days after he was first diagnosed.

The official office and residence of the UK Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street, announced the hospitalisation late Sunday, an hour after the British head of state Queen Elizabeth II addressed the nation from Windsor Castle. A statement from Downing Street said the admission to hospital of the Prime Minister was as “precautionary step” for further tests after he tested positive for the virus on March 27th.

Mr Johnson made an address to the nation through social media earlier in the week, while looking visibly dishevelled reported most of his coronavirus symptoms had gone, he still had a high temperature. The Downing Street press release confirms he is still suffering from that high temperature. . .

Emphasising that the Prime Minister has not been incapacitated, Downing Street said Mr Johnson remained in control of the government. The development follows the PM nominating a member of the cabinet ‘designated survivor‘ to assume his duties should he be unable to execute them — foreign secretary Dominic Raab, a prominent Brexiteer. Navy Captain Removed From Carrier Tests Positive for COVID-19

By New York Times. Capt. Brett E. Crozier, the Navy captain who was removed from command of the coronavirus-stricken aircraft carrier U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt, has tested positive for Covid-19, according to two Naval Academy classmates of Crozier’s who are close to him and his family.

A Navy spokesman declined to comment on Crozier’s Covid status.

The commander began exhibiting symptoms before he was removed from the warship on Thursday, two of his classmates said. Crozier was fired following a leak to The San Francisco Chronicle of a letter he had emailed to Navy leaders that detailed the failures on the service’s part to provide the necessary resources to swiftly move sailors off the carrier and disinfect areas on board as the virus spread through the ship. Government Does U-Turn to Advocate for Telemed Abortion

In a sudden reversal, the British government will allow licensed doctors to prescribe abortion drugs via telemedicine during the coronavirus pandemic.

Last week, the Department of Health and Social Care assured the public that the plan had been withdrawn.

But the agency announced it will allow the abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol to be prescribed in the home of a registered medical practitioner after a telephone or online consultation for women up to 10 weeks pregnant. . .

A Department of Health spokesman confirmed it is updating its guidance “so women who need an abortion up to ten weeks and can’t access a clinic can use abortion pills at home.” . . .

Stroilov had explained: “These were the very DIY abortions on demand which the pro-death lobby had been lusting after for many years. As long as we had a properly functioning democracy, they had no success. Prince Charles, the next in line for the British throne, tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday, March 25, sending shockwaves through the Royal Family. . .

Earlier this month, there were fears President Trump had been exposed to the virus — after a Brazilian press secretary who attended an event at Mar-a-Lago tested positive for COVID-19 days later. And, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., both quarantined themselves after coming in contact with someone at the Conservative Political Action Conference in late February who later tested positive. . .

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, tested positive for the coronavirus on March 13 after returning from London. She and her husband separately began 14-day quarantine periods, BBC reported. Trudeau was not tested for COVID-19 and was expected to fulfill all job duties while working remotely. . .

Franck Riester, French minister of culture, and Brune Poirson, the secretary of state to the minister of ecological and inclusive transition, both tested positive for the coronavirus, according to Foreign Policy. Several lawmakers in the French National Assembly have also contracted COVID-19. Boris Johnson Tests Positive for Coronavirus

By Washington Examiner. The prime minister of the United Kingdom tested positive for the coronavirus.

Boris Johnson, 55, announced on Friday he was self-isolating after contracting the COVID-19 virus, which has spread across the world.

“Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this,” he wrote in a tweet.

Johnson said he has a temperature and “persistent cough” but stressed that he can continue working.

Man’s Fiancée Wants to Split Because He Cross-Dressed. He Bludgeons Her to Death.

On Tuesday, a British judge sentenced a man to 17 years in prison for beating his fiancée to death after she said she wanted to leave him because of his cross-dressing.

Judge John Lafferty said that Amy Parsons, 35, who was bludgeoned to death while she was showering by her fiancé Roderick Deakin-White, 38, was murdered in a “most horrendous, savage and brutal way,” according to The Telegraph. The attack occurred in the flat the couple shared in Whitechapel, east London.

Judge Lafferty told Deakin-White: “Your view was that if you can’t have her, no-one can have her, and you killed her. There is no sentence I can pass upon you today that will bring back Miss Parsons — a young, successful, vivacious and kind-hearted young woman, whose life was brutally taken by you.”

The court had heard that Deakin-White’s cross-dressing had chiefly led to Parsons’ unhappiness; prosecutor Gareth Patterson QC stated, “She was unhappy about this and this was something he had often wanted to do when they were intimate.” The Daily Mail reported that Parsons “had told him she was ending the relationship because she could no longer stand him wearing women’s underwear when they had sex.” News.com.au added, “The killer had regularly worn women’s underwear, stockings and make-up during the relationship and when they sometimes romped.”

Patterson said Parsons had initiated a relationship with another man a few weeks before her murder, which had triggered Deakin-White’s anger and jealousy.
