Green Day Frontman Renouncing Citizenship Over Roe Reversal

Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong says he is lost to the U.S. forever. On Friday night he declared “f**k America” before adding he was “renouncing his citizenship” in the aftermath of the SCOTUS abortion ruling.

The landmark Supreme Court decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case, which overturned the long-standing 1973 Roe v. Wade judgement, sparked violent public upheaval across the country over the past 72-hours, as Breitbart News reported.

Now it has met a response across the pond.

Armstrong, 50, made his personal declaration during a Friday night concert in London, letting his audience know he believes: “There’s too much f***ing stupid in the world.” (Read more from “Green Day Frontman Renouncing Citizenship Over Roe Reversal” HERE)

Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer Does Not Condemn Leftist Violence When Asked About Threats

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) did not condemn violence toward pro-life groups and individuals during an interview on Sunday when she was asked about “active threats” in her state.

Whitmer made the remarks during an interview on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” with host Margaret Brennan as the topic of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade dominated the segment.

“I want to ask you about this homeland security warning that domestic violent extremists may intensify violence,” Brennan said. “In the bulletin that CBS obtained, it specifically mentioned an incident in Michigan, related to a pro-abortion rights group.”

One of the incidents mentioned in the memo “involved vandalism claimed by ‘Jane’s Revenge,’” a far-Left group, “on a building that houses a U.S. Representative’s campaign office and a pro-life advocacy group.”

“How concerned are you about violence?” Brennan asked. “What are you seeing on the ground?” (Read more from “Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer Does Not Condemn Leftist Violence When Asked About Threats” HERE)

Joe Biden Signs Gun Legislation Bill Into Law

President Joe Biden signed a bipartisan gun legislation into law, the largest gun control bill in nearly 30 years.

“Time is of the essence. Lives will be saved,” Biden said despite the real issue being the person behind the gun, not the gun itself.

“From Columbine to Sandy Hook to Charleston, Orlando, Las Vegas, Parkland, El Paso, Atlanta, Buffalo, Uvalde and for the shootings that happen every day in the streets. How many times have you heard that, ‘just do something, for God’s sake just do something’?” Biden said, adding “today we did.”

Biden did however admit that the bill is not as strict as he had hoped, but touted that the legislation will still “save lives.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Signs Gun Legislation Bill Into Law” HERE)

WATCH: Rudy Giuliani Slapped While Campaigning for Son in New York

Former New York City Mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani was slapped on the back Sunday at a Staten Island grocery store, by a worker who has since been arrested and charged with second-degree assault.

The 78-year-old was out and about in the conservative-leaning NYC borough campaigning for his son, Andrew, who is seeking the GOP nomination for governor, when the incident occurred. Surveillance footage obtained by the New York Post showed America’s mayor talking to a small group of shoppers at a local ShopRite when a store worker came from behind and slapped him. Giuliani was then grabbed by a woman to his left, who he said may have prevented him from falling forward.

The worker, who police have yet to name, then began heckling the famous Republican about abortion, a major national topic in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade on Friday.

“All of a sudden, I feel this, ‘Bam!’ on my back,” Giuliani told The Post. “I don’t know if they helped me not fall down, but I just about fell down, but I didn’t.”

Draft Leak Versus Actual Dobbs Opinion Shows Supreme Court Didn’t Buckle Under Pressure

The leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that foreshadowed the overturning of abortion rights last month resembles Friday’s final decision, signaling that the justices did not buckle under weeks of public pressure.

Despite a national outcry of protests, marches, and an alleged attempted assassination against Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Justice Samuel Alito’s majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization very closely resembled the draft opinion leaked by Politico on May 2.

“It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives. … That is what the Constitution and the rule of law demand,” Alito wrote in the draft and the final decision on Friday.

The draft opinion signaled Friday’s likely outcome that Justices Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Kavanaugh, appointees of former President Donald Trump, would join Justices Clarence Thomas and Alito to upend 50 years of precedent regarding abortion access and allow states to create laws banning or severely limiting abortion. Investigators: Pelosi Responsible for Jan. 6 Security Breakdown at U.S. Capitol

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi shoulders much of the blame for the security breakdown at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, a preliminary report from Republican investigators Reps. Jim Banks and Rodney Davis determined.

The Capitol Police (USCP) were half-staffed on Jan. 6, Pelosi’s House Sergeant at Arms denied multiple requests for National Guard assistance from the Pentagon and the USCP Chief in the days leading up to Jan. 6, officers were poorly equipped and had insufficient riot shields and helmets, and they were never trained to handle a riot even after the riots of 2020, the investigation shows, according to Banks.

The Republicans’ full report is not slated to be released for a few weeks but Banks and Davis said the hyperpartisan Jan. 6 Committee’s attempt to present a “slanted viewpoint as if it were impartial fact” prompted them to release their findings that “will help Americans understand the extent of the Committee’s misrepresentations and omissions.”

“The Committee has lied and made numerous unsupported and disputed claims that have been thoughtlessly parroted by their media and ‘fact-checking’ allies,” said Banks and Davis.

No Republican-appointed members serve on the committee, and no minority rights have been granted or observed by the committee. Those breaches of House rules have led Administration Committee ranking member Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., to announce there will be an investigation of the J6 Committee itself once Republicans take control of the House, as they are expected to do following the November elections. Christian Student Silenced by School Gets Massive Payday

A college student will receive a massive settlement from his school after it tried to silence him from speaking about his faith, according to a Wednesday press release from Alliance Defending Freedom.

Georgia Gwinnett College settled with Chike Uzuegbunam for $80,000 six years after the lawsuit was first filed, which alleged that the school repeatedly denied him the right to speak about his Christian faith to other students, the press release said.

The college told Uzuegbunam he had to use the free speech zones on campus with permission from the college in order to speak about his faith, the lawsuit stated. After acquiring one of the zones, Uzuegbunam was asked by the college to stop because he had prompted complaints and the college wished to appease students “who were or might be offended by his expression.”

“Chike Uzuegbunam’s case and this settlement illustrate the priceless nature of our constitutional rights,” Travis Barham, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “With this settlement, not only has the College’s dodging finally ended, and not only has Chike received the justice he has long deserved, but other colleges and universities are on notice that if they violate their students’ liberties, they can expect consequences.” (Read more from “Christian Student Silenced by School Gets Massive Payday” HERE)

Cheney Pulls a Murkowski: Asks Democrats to Vote for Her to Save Her Seat

As Rep. Liz Cheney faces a tough reelection battle in Wyoming, she’s turning to Democrats in her home state to help her chances in the August 16 Republican primary.

Cheney’s campaign has mailed instructions to Wyoming Democrats on how to change their party affiliation to vote for the incumbent congresswoman, The New York Times reported on Thursday. Under Wyoming law, voters must be registered as a Democrat or a Republican in order to vote in that party’s primary election.

The instructions, also listed on Cheney’s campaign website, direct voters to fill out a registration form and submit it to their county clerk’s office at least two weeks before the primary. Voters may also change their party affiliation at the polls on primary day or when they request an absentee ballot.

“Liz is proud to represent all Wyomingites and is working hard to earn every vote,” Jeremy Adler, a campaign spokesperson, told Insider in a statement on Thursday.

This call comes as some Democrats in the red state have expressed support for Cheney’s defiance of former President Donald Trump and plan to vote for her reelection. Though Republicans are a majority in the state, it’s not unusual for candidates to reach out to Democrats during campaign season to boost their election bids. Studies on voter data in the state have shown that party-switch voters have not made a difference in past elections. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday vowed to provide service members with “seamless access” to reproductive health care in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

He said in a statement:

Nothing is more important to me or to this Department than the health and well-being of our Service members, the civilian workforce and DOD families. I am committed to taking care of our people and ensuring the readiness and resilience of our Force. The Department is examining this decision closely and evaluating our policies to ensure we continue to provide seamless access to reproductive health care as permitted by federal law.

Without Trump, Today’s Supreme Court Ruling Would Not Have Been Possible

In 2016, one of Donald Trump’s campaign promises was to appoint Supreme Court justices to overturn Roe v. Wade. Today, his promise became a reality. It’s the latest example of a Trump promise made and a Trump promise kept. Everyone who is against infanticide should be thankful for Donald Trump, regardless of one’s personal feelings about him. . .

Despite all his flaws, Trump was arguably, and surprisingly, the best president for the pro-life movement. He touted his pro-life stance during a presidential debate with Hillary Clinton, in which he promised to appoint pro-life justices. It was an important statement, especially given some of the Supreme Court appointees Republicans have had over the years. But Trump’s promise felt different. Consider his statements from 2016.

“Well, if we put another two or perhaps three justices on, that … will happen automatically, in my opinion, because I am putting pro-life justices on the court,” Trump proclaimed back then.

The promise to nominate Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe had been met with suspicion by pro-life voters. More often than not, these voters were seduced with the pledges of these nominees, only to live with the reality of their failure to overturn it. But, unlike many previous Republican presidents, Trump delivered.

Furthermore, he demonstrated his commitment to the pro-life movement during his presidency. After all, he was the first sitting president to attend and speak at the annual March for Life Rally, a list that includes those deemed morally superior, such as George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.
